Sorry for the long wait, here's a new chapter.
A few weeks went by, with the Inari meshing with the village and the Hyuuga in special. Their exotic looks earned them quite a few admirers, but they were mostly rebuffed. Tesshou was put in the diplomatic dealings with the Hokage, having to explain about their way of life to those ignorant people who didn't know when to back off. Right now he was leaning on a pillar, brain fried from so much nagging. "I'm going to kill that old man/drunkard." He looked to his right, seeing a petite woman slouched against the wall. "Aren't you... Shizune?" The woman faced him with a weary expression. "Yes." Then both bashed their heads against the hard surface. "Those shitty old councilmen should just keel over..." He was gripping the wood so hard that it was splintering. "I agree, who had the idea to create paperwork..." She was scratching the paint. "And those assholes keep pushing their homework to us..." They both grumbled in anger. "My teacher should lay off the sake..." He had a stray thought. "I could steal it." Shizune faced Tesshou again. "Is that so?" He nodded. "And put her in an illusion so she makes all her work for you." She brightened at this. "Really?" He gave her a roguish smirk. "Yep, my gramps would use this trick with me." She got up and straightened herself. "Come on, right now she must be taking her pre-lunch nap." He looked at in disbelief. "You're serious?" The glint in her eyes said it all. "Fine." She dragged the fox with her and made him put the illusion he mentioned on the drunk woman. "It will kick off when she wakes up and will last for an entire day, and can be reapplied as much as you need, just call me." He made a move for the door but got grabbed by his shirt. "Don't go yet, I want to thank you and the sake's great." He mulled over it for a moment. "Do you know a place that sells cheesecake?"
Kurama felt happier than he did in all his life, having recovered his family, freedom and gotten to be close to the one he loved. Although he could have done without the taunts of Tenko whenever the old man saw him with Hinata. Speaking of her, he watched as she dodged the ice claws of Shirayuki, summoning her personal technique, the Twin Lions Fist. 'Hoo boy, she better dodge that.' He could only stare when the attack made a sizable crater.
'Dang... how much stronger she'll get when they do that?' Shirayuki was sweating for the first time she could remember, the chakra powered fist had missed her face by a few milimeters and her opponent had the other ready to strike. "I surrender." She would rather live another day, thank you. They disengaged and went tho do their business. 'Darn... I'm all sore because of that weird techniques!'
Hinata led Kurama for a walk around the village, content with spending time with the male.
Naruto had been watching the couple from a distance, cursing the bijuu. How did he dare to get such a good life when he was the one who fucked his life just by existing? He couldn't understand it. "It's because he actually tried to do something about his situation." He looked to the source of the voice, sighting a woman that resembled Hinata. "Whiny babies like you make me sick to the core." She faced him, making him feel an enormous pressure. "If you try to interfere, I'll make it so you never existed in the first place." He recoiled from the shock, her presence alone was heavier than Kaguya's.
Tenko had used the time to describe the ways of his clan to the Hyuuga, loving the way the kids looked at him when he described some of the past tales of his, laughing heartly when they got confused at something. He always got a kick whenever he saw the result of a trap he taught to the kids applied to the more stuck up Hyuuga, even more if they were elders. Now he was appreciating some tea on the garden. "Gramps!" Hiei came rushing to him. "What's the matter kit?" The boy was frowning. "Hanabi keeps avoiding me..." He smirked at the dejected tone. "Hah, why would that bother you?" He tried to look nonchalant to keep from smiling even more. "Well... I just feel bothered..." How could he push the two youths together? "Is that so? Why don't you do something about that then?" The boy looked to the side. "But she uses her eyes..." Oh yeah, the Byakugan was a pain in the ass in this matter. "Ambush her from an unexpected place."
Hanabi had avoided Hiei at all costs while he chased after her, amusing the older people. He got ticked off at her behavior and decided to folow the advice of his grandfather, hiding under her bed and setting up a seal that hid his presence. He waited until nightfall, watching as she took cautious steps inside, leaping out when he saw her turn away from his position and tackling her to the ground. She blushed hard when she recognized him and he had a pout. "Why did you avoid me?" He looked like a kicked puppy. Too bad that Hiashi chose this moment to check on his daughter. "..." "... I will come back later." "Father!"
