Hello wonderful readers!

This chapter isn't really humourus but does have a little bit of fluff so hopefully you enjoy it anyway.

Guest: Yes I've seen clips of black butler. I'm a huge fan of the manga, I'm not so much into the anime other then the Circus Arc and I'm super excited for the upcoming Book of the Atlantic anime arc to be released 2017. I've actually written a couple of fanfics for black butler (or Kuroshitsuji if you prefer the Japanese name)

And to another guest: I'm glad to hear you like the Naomi and Kyoya cuddle part during the horror movie:) It was really fun to write.

I love getting these questions and comments about Black Rose Neko and I hope to receive more as the story progresses:)

I don't own OHSHC.

Lean on Me

The day had started out like any other for Naomi, get up and get ready for school. But as she walked past her calendar and glanced at today's date everything froze. It was today. The anniversary of he worst day of her life.

Instantly several memories flashed through her mind. A police car with sirens pulling up in front of her house, the news, and the pain that pierced through her like a knife.

Naomi dropped down onto her bed silently.

She didn't want to go to school today but Kyoya was going to be absent for a doctors appointment and he had asked Naomi to take care of keeping everyone in order for him.

So she got into her host club uniform and grabbed her school bag, pasting on a smile and heading downstairs to go to school.

School was misery. There was non-stop babbling noise and her brothers were being extra clingy when all she wanted was space.

Finally lunch rolled around and Naomi was dragged by her arms to the cafeteria where Tamaki had decided everyone in the club would eat for the day.

Once they reached the noisy room Naomi yanked her arms free of Kaoru and Hikaru's grip.

"I'm not a doll. Stop dragging me around." She said with a pinched tone.

Both boys had identical surprised expressions and Naomi approached the table, moving around them to sit down as far away from the centre of the room as she could, right next to Mori.

The twins took seats flanking Tamaki and Haruhi and everyone got involved in a lively conversation about going to the zoo eventually. Naomi sat silently and halfheartedly picked at her lunch before shoving it away. It was to rich for her upset stomach right now. Naomi buried her head in her arms, ignoring the conversation in front of her. She barely registered Mori getting up from his seat next to her and walking away. She felt him sit back down a few moments later and then sat up straight when Mori rested a hand on her shoulder.

"What?"

"Eat this." He said quietly, pushing a miso soup and a spoon in front of her.

She blinked and looked up at the silent host in surprise before accepting the soup with a smile.

"Thanks Mori."

He nodded and gave her shoulder a squeeze before letting go. Naomi took a sip and smiled, it was exactly how she liked it with the right amount of added soy sauce. She practically inhaled the soup and was finished by the time the lunch period was over.

Her brothers dragged her and Haruhi back to class and Naomi growled before jerking from their grip with a cold glare.

Only two more classes until club and then Kaoru and Hikaru would be forced to leave her alone. She could hold out for two more classes.

Club rolled around and Naomi sat in her usual spot fake smiling as she listened to girls complain about their families and how much they wished they were loving elsewhere.

"Girls, may I throw in a word of advice?"

The girls all nodded.

"Your families may irritate you now but one day you could get a call telling you that they are gone and you would be broken hearted. Do your best to cherish the time you have with them now instead of griping and complaining about it because one day they might not be around to gripe and complain about."

A few of the girls nodded in agreement but a couple of her guests just laughed.

"So what? My mom and dad are so lame, they drive me nuts. I can't think of any reasons I would miss my parents or irritating little brother."

Those words were like a punch in the gut to Naomi and she shoved to her feet before glaring down at the girl.

"Is that so? Well let me tell you something sweetie, I used to think that my parents and little brother would be around forever. Then a policeman arrived at my door to tell me they had been in a accident and my family was dead. I won't ever be able to forgive myself for not cherishing the time I had because I'll never get the chance to again. People like you make me sick, having a loving and alive family but looking down on them."

Naomi then stalked across the room, ignoring the gasps of shock as she borderline jogged to the door and slipped through into the outer hall before running down the quiet hall to a empty music room before shutting the door behind her and sinking down on the couch.

Naomi pressed her hands to her closed eyes and tried to swallow the lump in her throat that was only growing.

Tamaki looked at Mori and the twins in shock before walking over to Naomi's guests.

"May I ask what happened here lovely princesses?"

One of the girls told him what had been said and Tamaki felt something niggle in the back of his mind. Something important about today.

"Princesses, do you know what today's date is by chance?" He asked with a growing feeling of worry.

One girl gave him the date and he felt understanding hit him like a truck. He instantly moved to the centre of the room.

"Ladies, I regret to inform you that we're going to have to close early today. Our faithful Vice President is absent today and so we forgot about today's important activity. I need to go run a important errand. Hopefully you all have a wonderful afternoon and evening my beautiful princesses!"

He gave a deep bow and the sound of girls squealing and fainting filled the air. He stood and walked briskly out of the room and went along the hall looking for signs of where Naomi went.

Suddenly he stopped outside of another unused music room and leaned down to pick up a blue hair tie. So this was where she was hiding.

He texted the others to let them know he would be a bit and not to worry about Naomi because he had found her before quietly opening the door.

Naomi was sitting on the couch with her face buried in her hands when she heard the click of the door. She tried to wipe away the tears that had escaped and looked up to see Tamaki walking over.

"I'm sorry for snapping at her. I just..."

He gave a understanding smile as he sat down next to her.

"Your just struggling because today is your parents and brothers death anniversary."

Naomi stared at the blond.

"How did you know?!"

"When I found out that the Hitachiins would be getting a sister an that your parents and brother died I looked up the death anniversary so that when we all became friends I could bring you flowers or something to hopefully cheer you up a bit on a sad day like this."

Naomi gave a watery laugh.

"Princely as ever Tamaki."

Tamaki smiled gently before the smile faded and he gave her a searching look.

"Naomi, why are you trying to be strong all by yourself? You have friends and two brothers who would instantly be there for you the moment you told them when you were having a rough day."

Naomi sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.

"Tamaki, I'm not going to burden someone else because of my moods and troubles."

"What about Kyoya? You confide in him as he does to you."

"That's different! He's- we-...I-"

"You love him."

Naomi blanched and Tamaki chuckled.

"I'm not blind Naomi, I figured it out quite quickly actually."

"Oh."

"Naomi, we all care deeply about you the way we do Haruhi and the way we do about each other. Don't shut us out and try to be strong all on your own."

Naomi closed her eyes and tried to steady her own breathing. If he didn't stop she was going to burst into hysterical tears.

"Tamaki..."

"Lean on one of us for once will you Naomi? Your struggling right now and you shouldn't have to try to hide your emotions."

Naomi felt tears trickling down her cheeks but she didn't move from her ramrod straight position staring straight ahead.

"I'm here Naomi, you can lean on me. Let me be there for you."

With those words that Tamaki had spoken so gently Naomi found herself losing the battle with her emotions and hot tears began to stream down her cheeks. She buried her face in her hands as powerful sobs wracked her body and instantly two arms wrapped around her gently and pulled her into Tamaki.

Naomi cried as all the pain and anger that had formed through the day washed away with her tears. Tamaki held her tightly, rocking back and forth as he whispered in French.

Naomi didn't know how long she sat like that, sobbing into Tamaki's chest but it couldn't have been to long or the others would have been calling her phone like crazy.

Eventually the tears waned and all that was left was soft little hiccups. Naomi pulled herself up out of Tamaki's arms and looked over at her friend with red puffy eyes before giving a wan smile.

He returned the smile and they stood to their feet.

"Thank you Tamaki."

His smile became slightly melancholy and he pulled her into a tight hug that was quite unlike his usual exuberant crushing glomp hugs.

"Anything for you soeur chérie."

She looked up at him for the translation but he just shook his head before offering his arm gallantly. Naomi smiled and took the arm and together they strolled down the empty halls back to the Music Room Three.

They stepped inside the club room and Naomi promptly got tackled into a hug by Kaoru, Hikaru and Hunny. She would have fallen over if Tamaki hadn't grabbed her shoulders from where he stood behind her and held her steady.

"Wha-"

"Why didn't you tell us this morning?!"

"I could have given you Usa-chan to cuddle and shared cake with you!"

"We could have let you off for the day and split your clients between all of us so that you would have the option to relax on your own!"

Naomi craned her head to look at Tamaki but he looked as taken aback as she did.

"How did you know?" Tamaki asked in confusion.

Hikaru and Kaoru gave the French boy a look.

"Of course we knew the date of her families death! We just didn't know the date of today until one of the girls walked by and asked what was so special about today's date. We looked and realized what was going on but Tamaki texted us to let us know that he had found you and not to worry so we waited until you were back."

Naomi laughed softly and did her best to hug all three of the boys in front of her. They all cheered and glomped her again. When she was released she headed over to one of the couches and Mori gently pushed her down before placing some small rice balls and miso soup in front of her and next to that he placed a plate with a thin slice of Strawberry Cheesecake.

"Thanks Mori."

He smiled and gently ruffled her hair.

Haruhi came over and took a seat next to her.

"I lost my mom, I can't imagine losing my dad to." Haruhi said softly.

Naomi nodded and began to eat the food that had been placed in front of her. The club sat around on the couches and talked or read or did various games until closing. As Naomi headed to the door she was grabbed by Haruhi who pulled her back to give her a gentle hug.

Then Hunny ran over and hugged her around the waist tightly before running out the door behind Haruhi. Mori came up and gently placed a arm around her shoulders to give her a squeeze before continuing on his way. Last was Tamaki who gave her a gentle hug and then left without a word.

"Um.."

The twins grinned and wrapped one arm each around her before heading her down to the limo.

When they got home she climbed out and followed the boys up the driveway to the door. They were met by one of the servants wringing her hands fretfully.

"Liza, what's wrong?" Kaoru asked in confusion.

"I don't know! But your friend Ootori Kyoya is inside waiting in Naomi's room and last time I checked on him he was pacing and he's awfully stressed out right now! He refuses to leave until he talks to you guys. He got here twenty minutes ago!"

Naomi exchanged a startled look with her brothers before going around the servant and opening up the front door before jogging up the stairs to her room. She opened the door to her room and went inside only to blink in surprise at the sight of Kyoya sitting on her little couch.

He looked up when the door opened and Naomi closed it behind her before walking over.

"What's wrong? Did something happen with your dad?"

Kyoya's jaw dropped slightly and Naomi felt herself tense. Had something really terrible happened at his doctors appointment or with his dad during the meeting after?

"Your serious aren't you?"

"What?"

"Today is the anniversary of your families death and your worried about me?! Isn't that just a little backwards?"

Naomi blinked.

"You remembered?"

He shot her a look of exasperation.

"Of course I remembered! That is something I couldn't forget."

Naomi smiled and took a seat next to Kyoya, leaning against him with a long sigh. He tensed for a half second before relaxing.

"Was school rough?"

"Yes. At club a bunch of the girls were complaining about their families and one even went as far as to say that if her parents and little brother were gone she wouldn't miss them at all."

Kyoya inhaled sharply and Naomi sighed again.

"It ticked me off and I kind of snapped at her before stalking out. I went to empty room to try and collect myself but Tamaki found me and said some sappy and sweet things to me about us being a family and me not carrying things on my own and I ended up crying into his chest. Then I got back to the music room we all gather in and got lightly scolded for not telling everyone what today is."

Kyoya wrapped a gentle arm around her shoulders and Naomi smiled softly.

"Sometimes I forget that being here with you guys is different then my gang at home. In America the only person I showed any form of weakness around was Wolf, my cousin and sometimes Knife my best friend. No one else. Being here and knowing I can trust all of you is totally new territory for me."

Kyoya nodded and they sat looking out her window.

"Kyoya, what does soeur chérie mean?"

He thought for a moment.

"If I'm not mistaken that means darling sister. Why do you ask?"

Naomi felt her face brighten.

"Tamaki called me that but didn't give me the translation."

Kyoya's face softened slightly and he rested his head gently on top of hers. They sat together in a comfortable silence. Suddenly his phone buzzed and he looked down before sighing.

"I need to leave. My sister is at my house."

Naomi sat up and stood with him, walking the few short steps to her bedroom door. He opened the door and stepped out before turning to face her.

He had a odd look on his face and after he looked both ways to check for people he gently grasped her shoulders and leaned forward to gently kiss her forehead.

"Have a good night Naomi." He whispered before turning and striding down the hall, his cheeks a pale pink.

Naomi stared after Kyoya with her jaw agape.

He had just kissed her forehead!
