Francis poured Canada a small glass of wine to taste, leaning back and happily eating a small piece of cheese. "Finally. One of them realized their love for the other," he said, sighing in relief.
Matthew nodded in agreement. "No kidding. They already act like a couple, they just haven't established the love part yet," he commented, sipping the drink. He made a face before getting used to the flavor and humming happily.
"Now, all we have to do is wait for the big kiss and those two will finally leave us alone and annoy each other instead!" Francis said, grinning.
They both were startled when they heard quick footsteps, a door slam, and Alfred calling for Arthur.
"Merde," they both whispered. What could have happened? Did Alfred do something stupid?
…
"A-And I remember when she l-looked so happy when we g-got m-m-marrieeed!" the Austrian cried pathetically, hiccupping as he downed the mug of beer.
Switzerland patted his back awkwardly. "Eh…That's great, Austria…," he muttered. "But I think you've had enough," he said, taking the large empty mug away from him.
"No!" he cried. "I-I still remember everything!" he exclaimed, ungracefully grabbing for it and falling over, hitting his head. "Ow…," he whined, curling up on the floor and sobbing. In his right state of mind, he wouldn't dare act like this. Ever. But he was really, really drunk and sad.
Switzerland grimaced a little at the other's state of being, but didn't say anything. It was nice knowing someone trusted him enough to let themselves be seen in such a state of weakness and vulnerability in front of him.
…
Alfred buttoned his shirt and attempted to knock on Arthur's door at the same time, failing horribly. "Arthur-" he tried knocking and sighed. "Arthur, come on. Let me explain!" he called through the door. He definitely didn't want Arthur thinking he was making out- or worse- with Kiku! That would definitely not be good.
"Arthur, please open the door before people start coming out of their rooms and staring," he groaned, banging his head on the door. He looked like a boyfriend trying to explain to his girlfriend after being seen with another random chick and it was really embarrassing.
Arthur ignored him and hugged himself. Alfred, although he was loud, annoying, rude, etc…he was always so innocent in his eyes, and he never thought he'd witness the other doing something so…and with Kiku, at that.
He could hear Alfred pounding on the door and made a small whiny noise, falling back onto his bed. The image of Alfred on top of Kiku, kissing him, wouldn't get out of his head and he covered his eyes. Oh god it was the worst image in the world.
"Go away!" he yelled. The more he heard Alfred's voice, the more the image came to life to create a small scene inside his head.
Alfred stepped back with a frustrated sigh. Kiku was dead. He whipped around and stormed down the hall, looking for Kiku. When he found him, he didn't bother to be as gentle as he usually was with Kiku and other smaller nations. He forced him against the wall, giving him a hard glare. "What the fuck is wrong with you? You know I like Arthur! What the hell?!" he yelled angrily, ignoring the other's pained wincing.
"A-Alfred-san-"
"Are you out of your mind? You're my best friend! You stole my first fucking kiss, you dick!" he cried, forcing him against the wall harder. "I was saving it for someone!"
"America!" Germany called disapprovingly, having heard some noise and came to investigate.
They both looked over at the German in slight surprise. "America, put Japan down and stop acting like an overemotional teenager. You are almost 300 years old." He ordered sternly, Alfred reluctantly letting Kiku go.
Kiku rubbed his shoulder and stepped away from him. That turned out a thousand times worse than how he had planned, but Ludwig had saved him from probably a death beating.
…
Francis knocked softly on Arthur's door. "Angleterre, open the door. Are you okay?" he asked quietly. He got no response. Sighing quietly, he bent down and picked the lock almost effortlessly, walking in casually. "Arthur…"
"Hey! Get out, frog!" he growled, sitting up from lying down on his bed.
"Non. I heard yelling and door slamming and I want to know what happened," he said stubbornly, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow expectantly.
Arthur sighed. Francis wouldn't leave him alone until he told him, even if it took days or weeks. He wanted to be left alone as soon as possible, so there was no point in arguing. "Fine…" he grumbled, shifting. He didn't want to tell Francis, really. It was Alfred's business…he just happened to accidentally see it. But that wouldn't stop Francis from finding out what happened. Everyone knew Francis was persistent.
"Eh…I was walking down the hall and noticed Alfred's door was open…when I went to look, I found him…and Kiku getting ready to do…very lewd things," he said, cheeks turning pink.
Francis deadpanned as he tried to make sense of what the other had just said. Alfred was in his room not an hour ago, asking desperately for some love advice. "I…see…Angleterre, I don't think you saw correctly."
"Oh, I saw. Clearly," he huffed, crossing his arms and trying not to seem upset or something that would make the frog go off on some teasing spree about Alfred. After a few seconds, he was surprised when the teasing hadn't started and glanced at him. "…"
"Trust me, Arthur, Amerique doesn't like Kiku like you may think. I know for a fact."
"Oh really? And how would you know that?" he asked, raising a thick eyebrow.
Francis shook his head and gave him a playful smirk. "I can't tell you~" he sang before waltzing out of the room with a knowing smirk.
…
Switzerland grunted as he carried the drunk Austria to his room. He reeked of alcohol, but at least he was finished crying. Now he was just giggling and spouting nonsense. He laid him down on his bed and wiped his face with a rag. He was so undignified when he was drunk.
Roderich giggled, hiccupping a few times. "Swizzy~" he slurred as the other took his glasses off.
He cringed. Swizzy? "Yes, Austria. It's me….Swizzy," he grumbled in slight embarrassment. The things he did for people.
"I love yoooou~" the other sang, clinging onto him.
Switzerland pushed him back onto the bed. "You're drunk," he said flatly, ignoring how his heart skipped a beat as he got some pain killers for later.
Eliaveta watched the couple through the cracked door and smiled sadly. Roderich was really torn up, but Vash was good to him. He would certainly help him heal. They were a perfect math. She was glad he found someone else, even if he was conscious of it yet.
She looked down at the papers in her hand. She wanted to get the divorce over with quick, but it wasn't a good time. She sighed and glanced back at them before walking off sadly. It was her fault, but she still did love Roderich.
When she got in her room, she saw Gilbert there with some flowers with a sheepish smile. "You've been pretty down, so I thought I'd get you something to cheer you up…you're too awesome to be sad," he said, feeling like some stupid romantic in a movie.
Eliaveta put the papers down and smiled, hugging him tightly. "You're sweet. Thank you," she said happily as she let go and kissed his cheek.
"Ah, well, it's the least I could do," he said sheepishly, taking one of the flowers and putting it in her hair.
Eliaveta smiled softly. It was moments like this she remembered why she loved Gilbert. He was always trying to be romantic and he was always so cute and awkward, but he was always so sincere about it.
She took the flowers and put them down on the bed before taking his hand as he swung her into a dance, making her giggle.
…
Ludwig scolded Alfred, demanding to know the situation. Both Kiku and Alfred refused to talk about it and he growled in frustration. "It's important if it caused you to attack Japan," he said angrily. "I want to know what happened so I can understand what is going on!"
Alfred rolled his eyes. "Dude, stay out of everyone's bizz and chill. I won't touch him again. He's just being creepy now," he said, glancing at Kiku. Who randomly tried to fuck their best friend out of the blue? Something must have not been right with the Asian.
"I will not have anyone disrupting the peace, so if it happens again, I will not let you off. I am done here," he said, leaving and taking the still slightly confused Asian with him while Alfred glared daggers in the other's back.
He eventually stopped and closed his door, sulking on his bed. His best friend just assaulted him…and he stole his first kiss. He couldn't help but feel like he was overemotional about it, but things like that mattered to him. He wanted to have a memorable first kiss with someone he loved. What had gotten into his friend?
…
Germany took the Asian to his own room and locked the door, turning to him and crossing his arms. "What were you doing with America?" he asked.
Kiku felt his face heat and he panicked a little. "Ah-nothing! There must be some kind of misunderstanding-"
"Japan. I know what you're up to and I don't approve of it. You shouldn't be messing with things that don't need to be messed with and if I catch you doing anything again, I will put a stop to it immediately. Do you understand?"
Kiku felt as if he had been caught red-handed doing something illegal, and couldn't help but be a little intimidated by the larger nation. "Yes, I understand. I apologize," he said quickly.
Germany nodded curtly and unlocked the door, letting him go silently. He would make sure everything went smoothly for the remainder of the rehearsals and if that meant discipline, he wouldn't hesitate to use it.
