Ghirahim: Fabulous! Ace is drafting more chapters, and I daresay, that they're fabulous!

Vaati: Even though you get hurt?

Ghirahim: *gasps* How unfabulous! I thought that Ace was writing about my fabulousness!

Vaati: *snickers* Nope. Just a lot of… interesting story arcs. Don't worry; I feel the same about some of the arcs too….

Disclaimer: Ace doesn't own the Legend of Zelda

Chapter 21: The Great Deku Tree/Crazy Ghirahim

Link

"Why are there two trunks?" I asked Daiki as we rode along to the Koriki Forest.

Daiki didn't respond, so I shrugged and kept looking forward. We were one mile away now, and one of the trunks bothered me. A lot.

As if on cue, the trunk began to shake and jump a little. I leaned away. "Daiki, did you bring something with us?"

Daiki looked at the floor. Sighing, I popped the lid off, and Young Link jumped out. I blinked, trying to figure out how Young Link could fit in a trunk.

"Magic," Daiki replied.

I ignored him.

Young Link realized that I was sitting nearby, and he bit his lip. "Um... Sorry for coming uninvited... I should have asked..."

"It's fine. I'm used to it."

"Really?"

"That is why Ghirahim randomly changes the decorations in my house," I replied. "Although... Did you get your sister's permission to come with me?"

"Let me put it this way," Young Link countered. "If I did, then Zelda would be here."

"Good choice then. But won't she know that you're missing?"

Young Link grinned. "I'm just visiting your family and the Deku Tree. Then Daiki will teleport me home, and Zelda won't notice."

I frowned. "Uh..."

Daiki nodded. "Flawless plan."

"Uh..."

Young Link looked to the left. "Daiki came up with the plan while you were testifying. Quite brilliant, actually."

"Uh..."

"We're here," Daiki announced nervously.

"Uh..."

"Are you seriously going to keep saying, 'Uh...'?" Young Link asked, slightly frustrated.

"Uh... No..."

By now, we had stopped by the front of Kuroki forest. The many trees towered over us, and grass and vines grew everywhere. I jumped off the carriage, with Young Link and Daiki following.

A young boy dashed to me. "Are you the Hero of Time?" He shot a glare at Daiki, but the demon didn't notice.

"Yes," I replied.

The Kuroki motioned for us to follow. Shrugging, I followed him, along with Daiki and Young Link. We crossed an old bridge and passed some vines. A clearing suddenly opened before us, with little houses here and there. The Kuroki were standing on either side, either smiling to Young Link or me or glaring at Daiki. We passed them, and jumped some rocks, and proceeded to walk under more trees, until we entered another clearing. The mighty Deku Tree loomed before us, although he looked sickly. He grunted.

"So... The Hero of Time is here..."

"Technically," Daiki interjected. "He's the Hero of Twilight and Time."

The Deku tree ignored him. He continued to speak.

"You... Know a song that can potentially help save the forest... Can you... Play it?"

"Which song? And on what instrument?" I questioned.

Young Link shuffled towards me and handed me an Ocarina. I held it close my mouth, but I still didn't know what song I should play.

This song, my mother whispered, is one of many passed down our family. When our ancestors were wounded, this song will clear their minds and heal their wounds, along with hearts and souls of those nearby.

Without thinking, I placed the Ocarina to my lips and began to play the Song of Healing. I kept looping it, and imagined my mother playing the song to me and Raven for the first time. Aryll was napping in Mother's arms, but I was enchanted with this song...

Daiki nudged my ribs, and I stopped mid-note. I blinked, surprised to see the color and life return to the Deku Tree. He smiled.

"Thank you Link. The forest is now safe. And, as promised, Daiki shall not die an agonizing death."

Daiki nodded eagerly, happy to have been spared an early death.

I bowed. "Thank you sir. Now I have to return home."

The Deku Tree smiled again. "Thank you."

The ride back home was uneventful. Daiki and Young Link fell asleep. The sun was setting, and the road was free of monsters. After a while, we finally made it to the Manor. Young Link woke up and yawned. "What time is it?"

"Six in the afternoon."

He bolted up. "I have to get home!"

This startled Daiki. He then teleported with Young Link as I jumped from the carriage, and Vaati walked to me, with a concerned look on his face. Alicia was with him, holding a clipboard.

"Link... I have grave news..." Alicia began.

"What is it?"

"Your sisters have been kidnapped."

"What?" I jumped, completely startled.

"Ghirahim took them dress shopping," Vaati interjected. "I can't guarantee that they'll return alive."

I face palmed. Alicia sighed and scribbled something on her notepad.

Daiki reappeared. "What di-" He stopped, and his eyes widened. He hid behind me, but as I was shorter than him*, it didn't really help that much.

"What?" Vaati asked.

"She's scary..." Daiki pointed to Alicia. "Her aura... It's evil..."

"She doesn't bite," I replied.

"I do bite," Alicia replied. "But it's only on rare occasions."

Daiki seemed to shrink even more. Vaati nodded. "Let's go inside. It's getting late."

Around ten o'clock, Aryll, Raven, and Ghirahim returned. Ghirahim went to bed immediately, and Aryll went to go brush her teeth. Raven, however, began to rant about the shopping event and how she hated each dress that she saw.

"I should have tagged along and killed him," Lexy muttered.

"And I would have to fill out plenty of paperwork and put you on probation," Alicia countered.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because we aren't allowed to kill Ghirahim," Sheik and Shadow replied with bored tones. "It's part of Vaati's Code of Warriors."

Raven huffed and started to climb the stairs. I noticed that she carried a bag. "What's in there?"

"None of your business."

Ghirahim's article of interest (for lack of a better name for the time being):

Oh, it started as a fabulous day in the Manor. Raven was reading; Lexy was practicing skills with Alicia, Vaati, and Sheik; Shadow was tending the garden; Link was asleep in his room; and I was calmly making a fabulous portrait of myself. Out of the blue, a loud crack was heard. Worried, I fabulously ran to the kitchen, only to see an unspeakable horror. The fabulous kitchen was in ruin, and poor Aryll lay in the middle. Apparently, she was trying to cook pancakes, but a bit of magic potion had entered the mix, thus causing the explosion. We all pitched in, hoping that Link wouldn't see this. But our fabulous efforts were in vain. Magic potions were now banned from the kitchen. How unfabulous.

Ghirahim: See, I am quite fabulous with dresses. Raven's was a gorgeous turquoise, with diamonds and a lovely blue sash in the middle.

Vaati: ...

Ace: Um, okay…

Vaati: Something wrong?

Ace: Something other than Link's incorrect height? Yes.

Vaati: What did you do?

Ace: The last "edits" failed to fix one major mistake.

Ghirahim: What?

Ace: Minish are tiny, correct?

Vaati: *nods*

Ace: I put you down as a Minish-dragging Link up some flights of stairs.

Ghirahim: *starts to laugh really hard* BWAHAHAHA THAT"S TOO FUNNY! *Rolls on the floor fabulously*

Vaati: *shocked*

Ace: I apologize for that. And I put a new poll up for potential story ideas that I have, so check that out.

Vaati: I'm still angry about the Minish thing. *Leaves*

Ace: Okay then… Until next time, readers! *Smacks Ghirahim in the face with a textbook and leaves*

Ghirahim: How unfabulous!
