The school talent show is here! Everyone has an act they want to perform, from decorating cake to singing, and everything in between! Bubbles and Cody are pairing up to do a bubble dance while blowing bubbles, but they keep messing up the routine. Luckily, it's not impacting their love for each other. Let's just hope it stays that way.
Contains a song going to the tune of "Two Perfect Girls" from Pokémon, "That Should Be Me" by Justin Bieber, and "Love So Lovely", from Disney's "Mickey's The Three Musketeers".
And now, before you ask, no, I am NOT a Belieber, or whatever that fanbase of his is called. In fact, "That Should Be Me" is the ONLY song of Bieber's that I actually LIKE, okay?
Bubbles' Got Talent
It was a sunny day at the park, and there were kids laughing, playing, and blowing bubbles together.
A girl named Bubbles, the blue member of the PowerPuff Girls Z, was blowing some of the bubbles that were floating around the park.
"Alright… Here it goes!" Bubbles said, as she took a deep breath. She was ready to blow bubbles.
Bubbles blew a large bubble, and then a few smaller ones inside, before letting the larger bubble pop, and releasing the smaller ones. They flew up into the air in a circular motion and Bubbles smiled as she managed to do the trick perfectly.
"Hey! I did it! I finally did it!" Bubbles said, as her eyes lit up and she started shaking in her seat, happily; she was very happy that she managed to get the trick right after several tries, or rather, ten or so tries.
"Wow, Bubbly, you're really getting good at "Bubble Freedom", aren't you?" Cody, Bubbles' boyfriend said; he was very proud of his girlfriend for her first success with the trick. "Nice work, and on your first success, too!"
"Thank you, Cody," Bubbles said, but then she leaned on to his shoulder. "This is a great accomplishment for me. Especially since you're by my side right now."
"That's very sweet, Bubbles," Cody said, as he blushed at the love of his life; he even gave Bubbles a kiss on the cheek. "I also have a surprise for you."
"Really?" Bubbles asked, as she smiled with sparkling eyes and a blush in her cheeks. "A surprise?"
"I sure do," Cody said, as he then leaned behind the bench that they were sitting on. He moved his hand around a little bit, before smiling. "Aha. Here it is."
"What is it?" Bubbles asked, as Cody then leaned back up.
Cody revealed that he had a guitar case, and he soon put the case down on his lap; he opened it up, and took out a standard acoustic guitar, in royal blue, with a bubble design on it near the hole on the guitar, which he put on himself.
Cody tuned up the guitar, as he said, "Perfect. Now, just to tune it up…"
"Wow, Cody, I didn't know that you played guitar," Bubbles said. "This is something new."
"I never really brought it up because I didn't feel ready to show you, yet. I didn't want to play a song and hurt your ears with bad playing; I'm still learning. I just started playing guitar about a month or so ago." Cody explained, as he kept tuning up his guitar.
You're going to play me a song?" Bubbles said, as she smiled at Cody, who looked back at her and gave her a wink.
Bubbles blushed happily as Cody made this gesture, and Cody began playing his guitar.
Bubbles listened calmly as the romantic tones of the guitar were ringing through the air. She sighed contentedly as Cody kept playing, while keeping his eyes on her.
Cody then sighed happily as he began to sing his song for Bubbles; he sang, "Bubbles, oh, Bubbles. My one, true love. A one woman man's what I wanna be, and you're the only girl for me!"
"That's the tune to "Two Perfect Girls" from Pokémon, right?" Bubbles asked Cody; he nodded in response as he got back to singing.
"You were the one who saved me; you opened my heart with your bubbles as the key. You're the nurse who cured me. When I see your face, my knees get weak." Cody sang, as he kept playing.
Bubbles giggled at this as Cody then sang once again, "This can't go on! Enough is enough; I gotta confess, no matter how tough. Bubbles, let me tell you, I need you to know… That I love you! (That I love you) Don't put me to shame! I want you to know! I want you to know!"
Bubbles blushed, and she started shuffling in her seat.
"Bubbles, oh, Bubbles! My one, true love! A one woman man's what I wanna be, and you're the only girl for me-ee!" Cody sang, as he held the last note while playing the guitar.
"That was great! The tune to the song itself was a little corny, but you made it sound GREAT!" Bubbles said, as she gave Cody a hug, being careful not to bump the guitar.
"Thanks," Cody said, with a blush on his face; he smiled as Bubbles hugged him passionately. "You're one of the reasons that was possible, Bubbles. I don't know what would have happened to me if you hadn't recognized me under that beastly form…"
"Now stop," Bubbles insisted. "That was years ago; can we please move on? Think of it as the reason we can be here, now."
"You're right," Cody said. "So, shall we move on with our date?"
"I thought you'd never ask," Bubbles said, as she stood up, and locked arms with Cody; Cody had put the guitar away and hefted the case over his shoulder. "Let's go!"
Bubbles giggled and laughed as she and Cody started to walk through the park to leave for the next part of their date.
The next day at school, the girls were walking towards the school building to try and make the bell, when they stopped in front of the bulletin board.
"Hey, check it out," Bridgette said, as she pointed out the biggest poster. "The school talent show is coming! I am so going to enter it!"
Bridgette took the pen and signed her name onto the first line on the top of list.
"A talent show? Sounds like you could decorate a cake for this," Buttercup said, as she looked at the list. "The only talent I can think of is wrestling or skateboarding, but I don't think they'd let me do that indoors."
"You're probably right," Blossom said. "And I don't think I've got many talents, anyway, so I'll sit this one out, too."
"Hey, girls, what are you talking about?" Ricardo's voice said, as he and the rest of the boys approached their girlfriends; they each had a smile on their face.
"The school talent show is coming up! Bridgette just signed up," Blossom explained. "Buttercup and I are taking a pass on this one."
"Hey, count me in!" Ricardo said, as he signed his name on the list.
"Hey, Luke, what about you?" Bubbles asked.
"Nah, I'd prefer watching my friends perform." Luke said, with a shrug.
"Hey, don't leave me out of the loop," Josh said, as he took a pen and started to write his name on the list, too. "I want to impress my sweetie!"
Bridgette blushed a little bit as she heard this, before stepping away from the bulletin board; she was a little embarrassed that Josh would be so open about his love for her.
"Hey, Cody, what about you?" Bubbles asked, as she approached Cody. "You could always play guitar for the show."
"Cody plays guitar?" Blossom asked. "Since when?"
"Since about a month ago," Cody said, as he was blushing from the embarrassment. "I wanted to surprise Bubbles when I felt confident enough to play, and I showed her yesterday on our date."
"I don't see a problem with you performing on stage," Bridgette said. "So long as you do it in a way that prevents you from giving other girls any ideas."
"Which is why I was hoping that Bubbles could perform with me," Cody explained, as he took Bubbles' hand into his own. "At least… I would love it if she could…"
"I'd LOVE to perform with you in the talent show!" Bubbles said, as she hugged Cody.
"That settles that," Cody said, as he used one of his free hands to sign his name, and Bubbles name, on the sign-up list. "I think that you should dance and blow bubbles while I play my guitar. What do you think?"
"I love the idea," Bubbles said. "I can't wait to start practicing!"
"I'd better go and get planning on my decoration act," Bridgette said, as she was sketching some things out. "See you girls later. Bye, Josh."
Bridgette started running to the classroom to figure out what she was going to do. Josh had hearts fluttering around him as he watched his girlfriend head to another location of the school.
"So, Josh, what are you going to do for the show?" Luke asked.
"You'll see when it rolls around," Josh said, with a blush on his face. "I just hope Bridgette is okay with what I'm going to do."
"Okay…" Ricardo said, with a sigh. "It's too bad that Buttercup isn't participating; any talent she has would be great to show off. Now if only it wasn't all sports."
"Minus the sports thing, I can say the same about Blossom," Luke said, kissing Blossom on the cheek. "So, shall we get to class, everybody?"
"Good idea," Bubbles said, as she and Cody were walking, hand-in-hand, to the classroom. "I want to be able to rehearse with Cody soon."
Blossom and Luke were holding hands, as were Ricardo and Buttercup. Josh felt a pang of jealousy that he was not holding hands with Bridgette.
He decided to let it go for the time being, as he would be able to croon once again, soon.
Later that afternoon, everyone decided to go home and work on their acts separately so they could be ready to perform for the big day.
At Ricardo's house, he was in the back yard, setting up for some kind of game. He had a traffic cone up, and there was a target around three meters away from them.
"Okay, now I need to get the bow ready." Ricardo said, as he took out his compound bow and started tuning it up.
He tightened the bowstring on his compound bow to make sure the tension was just right, and then he got started on his practice.
"Now, I know this is only just training if I'm going to do that, but I can at least get a good idea of what I'm up against…" Ricardo said, as he got into his stance to shoot.
He took up an arrow and nocked it onto the string before closing his left eye to aim. Using the cock fletching, he lined up the arrow to aim.
"Okay… Now!" Ricardo shouted, as he loosed the arrow and shot it at the target; the arrow merely planted itself into the ground. "Crap… Now I keep up the practice. How am I supposed to go to the next level in time for the show?"
Ricardo looked up to the sky and he thought out loud, "I wonder how the others are doing?"
Josh was at his house, up in his bedroom. He had his computer on, and there was a list of specific songs that he had, and was writing something down on a piece of paper in front of him.
"Okay, so that one won't work… It's a duet," Josh said, crossing a title out. "No, that won't work, either; it's more of a lament than a serenade…"
Josh was crossing out titles here and there on his paper before turning to the side table near his bed.
He saw a picture of Bridgette on the table; he walked over to it and he picked up the photograph and he said, "Bridgette… Her chains of love hold me so tightly to her…"
Josh soon got an idea; he remembered where that song came from, and he dashed over to his computer before tapping his keys on it so quickly that they seemed to be going at light speed.
"Perfect! I found the perfect song," Josh said, as he printed out the lyrics. "Now to get singing."
Josh soon locked and soundproofed his room before getting out some tools to practice his singing.
"I'm ready…" Josh said, as he took a deep breath. "I just hope Bridgette isn't embarrassed when she hears this tune. And if she is… I hope she just doesn't get ticked off and take it out on me… Ouch. But what am I thinking? She's not like that. Or at least, she isn't any more."
Josh started to croon a little bit, as he did some warm-ups to start off his voice.
Meanwhile, Bridgette was at her house, and she had just gotten a cake dummy out. It was Styrofoam covered in fondant.
"Okay, now to get started," Bridgette said. She took out some more tools and such to play around with. "First things first, rolling out the gum paste."
Bridgette took out a rolling pin, some corn starch, and gum paste that she tinted a champagne pink, and she got to it.
She rolled out the gum paste until it was almost paper thin; taking out some water, she brushed a little bit of water on it before taking out a piece of paper with a pink, tie-dye design on it.
"Edible transfer paper," Bridgette said. "Good thing I have an edible ink printer."
She used a very sharp, very small blade and cut a circle of the edible transfer paper out before putting it on the gum paste.
Bridgette then started to let it set for a few seconds, while she got a few more items out to use; the list included more gum paste, some sugar veil, and royal icing for her cake.
She cut out a few designs from the transfer paper and soon, she heard a timer buzzer going off; she smiled as Bridgette heard the timer, and she put down everything.
"There are the mini croissants," Bridgette said, as she walked over to the oven. "I can't wait to show these to my friends when I finish the practice round. Good thing that cake is merely a Styrofoam model or else they'd eat it… And that would be poisonous, too."
Bridgette soon got a few more fondant tools out to get more work done on her practice project and she felt better about her act; Bridgette was confident she could pull it off.
"Now, how are the others doing?" Bridgette said, as she looked up to the ceiling as she took out the croissants from the oven; she put them on a cooling rack to let them cool.
In the park, Bubbles and Cody were getting ready for their act and their performance for the show.
Bubbles was preparing the soap for the bubble portion of the performance while Cody was tuning up his guitar.
"I'm so glad we're doing a performance together, Bubbles," Cody said, as he finished tuning up his guitar, and got the guitar pick out. "It's going to be great."
"I'm happy that we're doing this, too," Bubbles said. "I can't wait to see what everyone else is going to think of our performance."
"I can't wait, either," Cody said, as he kissed Bubbles on the cheek. "So, let's get started."
Bubbles took out her bubble blower and she dipped it in the soap. She started to blow the bubbles and a large stream of them was shot out. As the bubbles floated around and reflected the sun's light, Bubbles just looked radiant, and Cody was going gaga over his girlfriend.
He started playing he guitar, but as he started to get into the tune, he ended up messing up a few notes and played an incorrect chord a few times; he had been too distracted.
"Gah! Messed up…" Cody said, as all of the bubbles popped.
"Are you okay, Cody?" Bubbles asked.
"I'm fine," Cody said, sighing out of annoyance. "I just messed up the song."
"Not only that," Bubbles said, as she looked to see there were only a few bubbles left. "Almost all of the bubbles I blew have popped; now there aren't any to dance with."
"Let's give this another shot," Cody said. "And we need to keep working on this until we get it right; no mistakes, no screw-ups, okay?"
"Okay!" Bubbles said; she reloaded her bubble straw, and blew more bubbles. These were bigger, and longer-lasting bubbles, too. She smiled at how they danced in sunlight.
Bubbles was dancing as the bubbles fell over her; Cody was playing his guitar once again, and this time, he was more focused on the song. It was possible that he was concentrating too much, because Bubbles tripped on one of her feet and stumbled.
"Ah!" Bubbles squeaked, as she stumbled, and then she tripped before falling on her rear end.
"Bubbles! Are you okay?" Cody asked.
"I'm fine," Bubbles said, as she stood up, and dusted herself off. "How about you?"
"Just a little frustrated," Cody said, as he sighed sadly; he was a little upset. "Not with you, though. I'm frustrated that after all of this planning that we're making a mess of our act."
Bubbles kissed Cody on the cheek; he blushed in response.
"It's going to be okay, Cody," Bubbles said. "We just need to concentrate on our own parts while keeping an eye on the other so we can be in sync with one another. I'm sure we can do that."
Cody then leaned in and kissed Bubbles on her lips, causing her to blush heavily; she then wrapped her arms around his neck and held the kiss for a few seconds.
"Shall we get back to practice?" Cody asked, as they ended the kiss.
"Good idea," Bubbles said, before giving Cody another peck on the cheek. "Let's go."
Bubbles and Cody kept practicing for what seemed to be like hours; every time, there was at least one mistake, be it a wrong note or a wrong step in the dance.
While they did get frustrated, they never blamed each other; they never made excuses, either. They just kept going. On the other hand, they were also very happy to be in each other's company, which alone made them feel like they were in pure heaven.
After a little while, the sun started to set; Bubbles stood up with all of her bubble soap in hand, and she said, "I'll see you tomorrow, Cody?"
"Count on it, my sweet." Cody said, giving Bubbles another kiss on the cheek.
Bubbles blushed heavily as Cody gave her the kiss; she giggled at the action, and she felt like she was on cloud nine with her boyfriend.
The next day, Bubbles and Cody were back in the park, again, with Cody's guitar, Bubbles' bubble soap, and their love for each other.
"Okay, my love, are you ready to get back to practice?" Cody asked, with love in his voice's tone; he tried to couple their practice session as a date.
"I'm ready!" Bubbles said, as she blew her bubbles, and she started to dance a little bit; she managed to throw in a "Bubble Freedom" move within the routine.
As Cody was playing, Bubbles' "Bubble Freedom" distracted him; as a result, he unintentionally broke one of the strings on the guitar.
"Ack!" Cody shouted, as he discovered what happened. He put the guitar down and started to rummage through his backpack.
"What happened?" Bubbles asked, as she felt the broken string was her fault.
"Don't worry, love," Cody said, as he got out some spare strings for the guitar. "A string broke; it happens. I'll just replace it."
Cody started to restring his guitar; Bubbles looked to the floor, feeling a bit guilty.
Cody noticed this, and he just gave Bubbles a kiss on her lips once again. She blushed with a smile, and she started to giggle, as she felt really happy to be with her boyfriend.
"You're not the one who caused my guitar string to break, Bubbles. It was just bad luck, that's all." Cody said, as he kissed Bubbles' cheek again.
Once again, Cody and Bubbles kept practicing, with multiple mess-ups and mistakes; rather than get frustrated, they laughed about it each time, and the more time they spent together, the better their time was. Their love for each other only bloomed.
It was not really that easy for them to get the routine ready, but they managed to get it right after at least eighteen tries; give or take ten times.
"Gah… Well, we finally got it done." Cody said, after they finally got it right.
After a few days of constant practice for all four of the acts, the talent show was upon the school. Everyone was in the auditorium for the big show; performers were backstage.
Blossom, Buttercup, and Luke were in the audience, all waiting for everyone to get started on the acts for the show.
Naturally, Blossom was sitting next to Luke, who had an arm around Blossom's shoulder.
"I heard a rumor that Randy is going to be performing," Blossom said. "What are the chances that it isn't a prank-related performance?"
"Forget that rat," Luke said, with a sigh. "I just wonder how Bubbles and Cody are doing with their act? I hope they've gotten it down pat… It'd be a disaster, otherwise."
"Let's hope so," Buttercup said. "I wonder how everyone else backstage is doing?"
Backstage, Bridgette was wearing her chef's uniform, hat, apron, and all, and he had her edible ink printer plugged in on the stage; she had the crew hide it until it was her turn to go on. She had her cake ready, and this one was real, so she could share with the others.
Josh was wearing something out of 17th century France, with a feather in his hat and everything, and warming up his singing voice; he had a glass of water and some lozenges at his warm-up station and he was ready for the act. At the same time, he was kind of nervous.
"Are you sure about this?" Ricardo asked, as he came out of the dressing room, dressed in a kimono, proper uniform for kyūdō, the art of Japanese archery. "Seems a little drastic; you've already won over Bridgette."
"A guy can't show his girl how much he loves her even after she's won over?" Josh asked.
"T-Touche…" Ricardo said, as he held his yumi in his hand; he had some arrows on his back, as well. "By the way, what's Bridgette up to?"
"She's doing a cake decorating demonstration, I think. The crew set up some cameras and a projector screen so everyone could see what Bridgette had in mind. She even brought a printer."
"Why would she need a printer?" Ricardo asked.
"Beats me." Josh said, with a shrug; even he had no clue what Bridgette was planning.
"And while we're on the subject of others' acts, I wonder how Bubbles and Cody are doing with their act? I wonder if they got it right…."
"Yo! Ricardo, you're up first." One of the crewmembers said, from the catwalk.
"Don't worry about me; I'm coming," Ricardo said. "Don't botch this up, Josh."
"Oh, I won't." Josh said, before giving Ricardo a fist bump; Ricardo then went onstage left, and his face became serious, so that he could perform his archery correctly.
'First up, we have Ricardo, performing kyūdō.' The MC said, from the sound booth.
Ricardo came out on stage; one of the targets was set up, a quiver of arrows was on Ricardo's back, Ricardo had his yumi in his hand, and he was ready.
Buttercup was looking at her boyfriend with love in her eyes and they were sparkling. She was silently cheering for Ricardo.
Taking a deep breath, he got into the proper stance; he had his feet apart to make an upside-down 'v' with his legs. Using his left hand, he held the yumi, and with an arrow in hand, he nocked the arrow and drew the bowstring. He closed one of his eyes and took a really good aim at his target, which was on the other side of the stage.
Backstage, Bridgette was watching the proceedings and she was being careful not to be in sight of the audience.
Ricardo loosed the arrow and it was shot straight into the bull's-eye of the target. He did this a few more times, with complete focus, and each one was a bull's eye. The last arrow he shot split one of the arrows in half, and then Ricardo lowered the bow, before turning to the crowd and bowing.
"That's amazing!" Buttercup said, as she and the audience were applauding Ricardo's performance.
"That's Ricardo for you," Blossom said. "He knows what he's doing when it comes to all kinds of archery.",
"Bridgette, you're on," Another member of the crew said, as Ricardo was cleaning up from his performance. "Get going."
"I'm on top of it," Bridgette said, as she rolled out a rolling rack to use for a bench. "Time to show people what I can do!"
'Next, we have Bridgette Hamilton with a cake decoration demo.'
Bridgette came on stage; everyone was watching her, and Josh, backstage, had hearts in his eyes.
"Hi, everyone," Bridgette said, with a smile; the cameras and projection screens were all set. "I'm going to show you some simple decorating techniques for cakes. One of them was invented around ten years ago. The first one is called SugarVeil, which is a special frosting that when applied, is flexible and can be used for molding and all kinds of decoration."
Bridgette mixed up the Sugar Veil mix, which consisted of one-third cup of warm water, and two-thirds cup of the Sugar Veil itself.
"Okay, now that the sugar veil itself is done, now we need to apply it to the mat that it came with," Bridgette said, as she took some of the prepared sugar veil, and spread it into a lace-designed mat and she spread the rest of it out. "Next, we need to let it dry for several hours; since we don't have that time, I made some more in advance."
She put down the new sugar veil and took out an older one that she made the day before.
"This is very flexible, so you take it out of the mat and then you put it onto the cake," Bridgette said, as she bent the sugar veil and put it on the cake that she had brought. "And that's it for sugar veil. There's more, but this time, we're using edible transfer sheets. They come in all kinds of colors and designs, so the color schemes and combinations are almost endless."
Bridgette took out some of the edible transfer sheet flowers she had made the day before, some gum paste, and other items she needed.
"Now, for this, you're going to need a printer that uses EDIBLE INK cartridges. Yes, there's such a thing, so don't worry," Bridgette said, and then she started to roll out the gum paste very thinly. "You need to roll out the gum paste very thinly for this."
Bridgette took out one of the transfer sheets, cut a circle around it, and said, "Cut a circle out of the edible transfer sheet, and put it on top of your gum paste. Don't forget to brush a small amount of water onto the gum paste, or the transfer sheet won't stick."
Bridgette then took out some flower cutters, a forming cup, and a blade that she brought from home, before saying, "Now you need to cut flowers out of it, and press the flower in the center on this forming mat to give it that opened look that you see in most flowers."
Bridgette then did some more decorating and finally finished her cake that had lace from the Sugar Veil and flowers from her transfer sheets and she soon presented it.
"And that's how it's done. Sugar Veil is a registered copyright of Michele Hester," Bridgette said, before bowing. "Thank you."
Bridgette then brought the cake backstage as everyone was clapping for her.
"Nice work back there, Bridgette!" Bubbles said, as she and Bridgette shared a high-five with each other.
"Thanks, Bubbles," Bridgette said. "I know you and Cody are going to do great with this; break a leg."
"Thanks, Bridgette," Bubbles said, as she gave Cody a kiss on the cheek. "We're going to do our best for this act!"
Meanwhile, with Josh, he was conversing with Randy, who was somewhat upset for some reason.
"I don't get what you see in Bridgette," Randy said. "She's… Ill-tempered -"
"That's passionate." Josh corrected, not happy with Randy's comments.
"Stubborn…" Randy continued.
"That's determined to you, Randy," Josh said, as he was getting annoyed with Randy. "And what's gotten your skin in a bundle?"
"I'm just saying that no girl compares to my Blossom." Randy said, with a sigh and scoff.
"Correction: she's Luke's girl, Randy," Josh said. "What is your deal? Still jealous she chose Luke over you?"
Randy went red in the face; Josh had hit the nail on the head.
Josh's friends informed him about Randy. Josh had been told about Randy and his history with Blossom. He knew about how it ended up with Randy's heart in the tank and Blossom in Luke's arms; Randy was not happy about it at all.
"Josh, you're on next," One of the crewmembers said. "Go get him, tiger."
"Thanks," Josh said, as he left the stage and went on stage to go and perform; he did not hesitate to kiss Bridgette's cheek before going. "Hope you like it."
"Oh, Cody, I'm so nervous," Bubbles said to her boyfriend, who held her hand to comfort her. "I hope we don't mess this up."
"We won't," Cody said. "Because we practiced, our hearts united, and we're fully prepared. I have the guitar, you have the bubbles, and we're together."
Bubbles blushed and gave Cody another kiss, this time on the lips.
"Could the two of you get a room unless kissing is part of the routine?" Randy said, a bit annoyed with Bubbles and Cody.
'Josh Jones, singing "Love So Lovely"'
Back outside, Josh had stepped up to the microphone and he cleared his throat to get started; he was a little nervous, but he knew that he had to sing.
The scene soon changed to a garden in France; Josh was sitting behind a hedge, plucking petals from a flower, and his facial expression was rather lonely.
On the other side, around the corner, was Bridgette, taking a nice stroll, and feeling really normal at her surroundings; she was taking in the scenery, not really caring what was going to happen to her.
"Just around the corner seeking you, puppy love is tripping lightly into view."
Josh was still sitting and plucking his flower; he stood up and started to walk, feeling really down in the dumps, However, he looked to his side and saw a pair kissing while he rolled his eyes, not knowing what fate had in store for him.
"Hiding in the hedge groves, sneaking up on tip toes, love's first kiss is blissfully about to capture you."
Bridgette was still strolling, and she was around the corner from Josh's position; she was walking backwards, and looking at the scenery, but the look on her face seemed a little uncomfortable, as if she was trying to escape.
"Just around the corner, wafting close, love is creeping nearer than you might suppose."
Josh turned the corner while still looking in another direction, while Bridgette turned her body again, still looking behind her, as if she was running from something.
"So sit still and wait now, let love choose your fate now."
She started to run, and Josh was still distracted; Bridgette ran into Josh, and Josh was nearly knocked over; however, he soon saw Bridgette's face, and Cupid shot him straight in the chest.
"Take a pause don't run because, it's right behind you, let love find you."
Bridgette looked up and saw Josh's face; she blushed immediately and stayed in Josh's embrace. Josh was also blushing and his heart was pounding at the sight of the cute girl in his arms at the time. Bridgette was acting shy, but she looked up with a small smile on her face and a blush in her cheeks. Josh held Bridgette's face with his hands and he was about to give her a kiss, when the scene changed again.
"Young love. It's love, love, love, love, love. Love so lovely. What can you say to love, but love?"
Josh and Bridgette were holding hands as they were walking together in the city, as if on a date, and then some heart-shaped balloons were overhead, as if they were hovering over Josh and Bridgette on purpose.
"Maybe on the rooftops, climbing by, somewhere just above you, love is hovering by."
However, the balloons turned to steel and they were falling towards Bridgette and Josh; they freaked out and started to run away, dodging every steel heart they could, but they soon found themselves in front of a giant, heart-shaped archery target. They looked behind them and saw Cupid, who loosed an arrow and shot it at the bull's eye.
"Love is in a rush to smear you, smash you, smush you; love will crush you into mush. When you're the bull's-eye, you'll get hit by…"
The arrow hit the target dead center, which was just shy of Bridgette and Josh. Pink hearts started floating around Josh and Bridgette, who looked at each other with love in their eyes and they soon got into each other's embrace. Bridgette and Josh then looked at each other with love in their eyes, and then they kissed.
"Young love… your first, your only love. Love so lovely, how can you stand it so… But love?"
Josh stopped singing as he then took a bow and left the stage to go and give the others a shot.
"That was so sweet of Josh to sing for Bridgette," Bubbles said. "How romantic…"
"I know what you mean," Cody said, hugging Bubbles by the shoulder. "We're coming up soon; let's just hope we can do just as well…"
'Next, Randy Finkleman, singing 'That Should Be Me', by Justin Bieber'
"Why do I have a feeling that song is directed towards us, Luke?" Blossom said, out in the audience, as Randy came up on stage.
He was wearing a leather jacket and his facial expression was downcast and sad, probably from a broken heart.
"Because it probably is." Luke said, as he wrapped an arm around Blossom's shoulder.
Randy noticed this and glared at Luke and Blossom.
He took up the microphone, and he exhaled a little bit before getting started with his song.
As the beginning music came up, the scene changed to Randy, his clothes not changed, walking in the school hallways, with people laughing quietly, and talk about Luke and Blossom going around the halls.
"Everybody's laughing in my mind," Randy sang, as he soon heard some others talking about Luke and Blossom together. "Rumors spreading 'bout this other guy."
He soon saw Luke and Blossom hugging and laughing together; Randy gripped his fist in response to this, as he was frustrated with the situation.
"Did you do what you did when you did with me? Does he love you the way I can?"
They were holding hands and they were walking in the halls; they walked past Randy, acting like he did not exist.
Randy picked up his phone and saw all of the scheduling he and Blossom had together; he deleted it sadly, and shed a few tears.
"Did you forget all the plans that you made with me? Cause baby, I didn't."
He looked back at Luke and Blossom; he imagined himself in Luke's position, holding Blossom's hand. He then saw himself in Luke's place, telling Blossom a joke, and making her laugh happily, as if nothing was wrong.
"That should be me, holding your hand. That should be me, making you laugh."
Randy looked down sadly, as he saw Luke and Blossom walking through the halls to their next classroom.
"That should be me, this is so sad. That should be me, that should be me."
Randy was walking through town, sadly, and saw Luke and Blossom kissing; Randy's heart snapped in half, and he imagined himself in Luke's position with the kiss. He also saw himself giving Blossom a necklace, but it was really Luke giving her the gift.
"That should be me, feeling your kiss. That should be me, buying you gifts."
Randy turned around and started leaving, while tears were shedding; he felt like his entire body, starting from his heart, was crushed into tiny pieces. The pieces were small enough for Afghan kite string, used for the traditional 'kite fighting'.
"This is so wrong; I can't go on, till you believe, that that should be me."
Randy looked back and glowered at Luke before scoffing, angrily. He turned his back on the scene.
"That should be me."
Randy had a flash back to the day Blossom broke up with him; apparently, Blossom was telling him that she ha had enough of his jokes, and she finally snapped; she turned around, and started to walk away. This left Randy broken.
"You said you needed a little time from my mistakes."
Randy looked at the scene and soon saw Luke and Blossom together, and how much time they would spend together, much to his disgust; he was not happy about Blossom's new beau.
"It's funny how you used that time to have me replaced."
He was at a Galactic Man movie, but he saw Blossom and Luke in a row farther up; he hung his head in despair.
Randy also saw Luke and Blossom at the park, the ice cream parlor, everything. He realized that all of these were places he and Blossom used to go together.
"Do you think I wouldn't see you out at the movies? What you doing to me? You're taking him where we used to go."
Seeing Luke and Blossom kiss, Randy started to cry silently, feeling his heart was ripped out of his chest and he was broken-hearted.
"Now if you're tryin' to break my heart, it's working, cause you know…"
Randy imagined himself holding Blossom's hand, and making her laugh, in Luke's place.
"That that should be me, holding your hand. That should be me, making you laugh. That should be me! This is so sad. That should be me, that should be me…"
Blossom and Luke kissed, but Randy saw himself in Luke's shoes, and he looked away, feeling horrible about himself. Luke also gave Blossom a wallet, and she gave him a kiss on the cheek in return.
"That should be me feeling your kiss! That should be me, buying you gifts! This is so wrong, I can't go on, till you believe, that should be me!"
Randy and Luke were having a mock-sword fight with kendo swords, but Randy got tripped up and he fell flat on his face, before losing hold of his wooden sword. Randy sat up, and shed tears, feeling like he was lower than dirt.
"I need to know should I fight for love, or disarm? It's getting harder to shield this pain in my heart."
Randy soon imagined himself in Luke's shoes for every little thing with Blossom.
"Oooh! That should be me, holding your hand! That should be me, making you laugh. That should be me, this is so sad! That should be me! That should be me (that should be me)."
Randy saw himself kissing Blossom, and then giving Blossom a pair of earrings, holding hands, and everything.
"That should be me, feeling your kiss! That should be me, buying you gifts! This is so wrong, I can't go on, till you believe that should be me!"
Randy soon imagined himself holding hands with Blossom, who was blushing and looking at him the way she did Luke.
"Holding your hand. That should be me!"
Randy told a joke, and cracked Blossom up, causing her to laugh melodiously.
"The one making you laugh. Oh, baby, oh, that should be me!"
Randy imagined that he was giving Blossom red roses, and then as the sun moved across the sky, the pair seemed to be talking for hours.
"That should be me, giving you flowers (that should be me!). Talking for hours, that should be me! That should be me (that should be me)!"
He remembered back to the day Blossom ended things with him, but Randy regretted not letting Blossom's hand go, and he unintentionally set her free, causing his heart to shatter.
"Never should've let you go. I never should've let you go. That should be me! Never should've let you go! I never should've let you go! That should be me…"
The entire song number ended, and soon, Randy took a bow and walked off stage, not forgetting to send a glare to Luke.
Bubbles and Cody watched as Randy made his way back to his spot from before.
"This is it, Bubbles," Cody said, as he took Bubbles' hand into his own and squeezed it lightly. "We're going to go out there and knock the crowd dead."
D-D-D-Dead?!" Bubbles said, freaking out.
"Just an expression, cutie pie." Cody said, before giving Bubbles another kiss on her cheek.
'And now, finally, Bubbles and Cody, doing a duet 'Bubble Dance', with an original song.'
"That's us." Cody said, as he took Bubbles' hand into his own and started walking towards the stage.
Cody sat down on the stool that was set up while Bubbles had her bubble soap in her hand, along with her bubble wand.
Bubbles started to blow a lot of bubbles straight up into the air; she started spinning, dancing, and giggling as the bubbles started to fall all over her.
Cody started to play the song as everyone started to clap with him.
"Bubbles, oh, Bubbles. My one, true love. A one woman man's what I wanna be, and you're the only girl for me!"
Bubbles sent Cody an air kiss, which he took with a wink, and kept playing his guitar, and Bubbles kept dancing.
The scene changed to the day that Cody went into beast form and Bubbles used her bubbles to open up his heart and cure him.
"You were the one who saved me; you opened my heart with your bubbles as the key."
Cody was in bed, with Bubbles at his bedside, giving him treatment in another scene; Cody was looking up at Bubbles with a heavy blush in his face, and he really liked the cute nurse uniform that Bubbles was wearing.
"You're the nurse who cured me. When I see your face, my knees get weak." Cody sang, as he kept playing.
The scene changed to Cody holding a bouquet of red roses behind his back while blushing heavily, and trying to talk to Bubbles to tell her how he felt.
Cody sang, "This can't go on! Enough is enough (enough is enough); I gotta confess, no matter how tough. Bubbles, let me tell you, I need you to know… That I love you! (That I love you) Don't put me to shame! I want you to know! I want you to know!"
Cody gave Bubbles the roses, and she took them before giving Cody a kiss on the lips in the scene.
"Bubbles, oh, Bubbles! My one, true love! A one woman man's what I wanna be, and you're the only girl for me-ee!" Cody sang.
As the last of the bubbles popped, Cody and Bubbles shared one more kiss with each other and Cody dipped Bubbles down; he remembered to gently put his guitar down.
Everyone was cheering happily at the finale of the song; almost everyone stood up and began applauding while Bubbles and Cody kept kissing each other.
The curtains soon closed, and around half an hour later, everyone was outside the school, walking home, and talking about their acts.
"I'm surprised Randy actually sang," Buttercup said. "Who knew?"
"I still have no intention of leaving Luke." Blossom said, before kissing Luke's cheek.
"Changing the subject, Bubbles, you and Cody were amazing back there," Bridgette said. "I'm so surprised you got it down pat."
"Thanks," Cody said, as he kissed Bubbles on the lips. "I hope others liked it, too."
"You sweetie…" Bubbles said, with a cheerful giggle and gave Cody a hug.
That went well. Nice to see things are picking up for our couples. Now let's see what else is going to go on for the group.
Next time…
Buttercup: It's bad enough the RowdyRuff Boys are being rowdier and rougher than normal, but what's gotten into Butch? He isn't putting up a fight, and why is he making eyes at me?!
Bridgette: Why do I have a bad feeling about this?
Ricardo: If only there was something I can do! What? There is?
