Allen's eyes were finally dried now as he listened to Kanda through the phone, they had managed to shape themselves back into properly functioning humans, and had begin to fill each other in on what they'd missed.

Kanda had recollected everything he could from his hazy memories of the crash, he remembered flying out the windshield, running through the forest, finding Lulubell with the gun, and random flashes of the quote on quote 'accident' from when it had been occurring. Allen had been shocked to hear about how close Kanda had been to death with the large bar that narrowly missed his heart and lungs, the image in his mind far to unsavory, and hearing about who had saved him had left him speechless. Where was this luck coming from? Since when did he have a night sky's worth of lucky stars?

Kanda told Allen about how his wounds were, how by now the rib had almost completely healed, and that now all that was left were some large bruises that were disappearing quickly. Kanda barely felt pain anymore, just slight discomfort mostly, and he could walk around just fine on his own.

Allen had been overjoyed to hear that Kanda wasn't hurt too badly, and in more tears had told him about what a mess he'd been, assaulting Lavi when he'd been told, everyone pitying him because of his denial... And it was Kanda's turn to be speechless when Allen told him about what he'd done to Tyki.

"So he's... You?... "

"I- I was just so angry when he said it was his fault, I... I couldn't see I was so blinded by anger, I just... I wanted him to pay. I... I don't feel guilty though Kanda, why?... Is... Is there something wrong with me Kanda?"

"No! No ! Allen there is nothing wrong with you, it was his fault for orchestrating the transfer-"

"I know that, I'm just... I regret it, I do, but... It's like deciding not to buy that chocolate bar kind of regret... And that's not right is it?"

"Allen, Tyki was a bad guy who hurt many people, I know because I've seen many inmates scarred by him. He had it coming sooner or later, and you probably saved him many years of karma, if anything it was merciful... Just try not to worry about it, you said Jasdevi's taken care of it and that the Earl wanted him gone anyway right? So it's in the past now... I know how you feel, but you have to let it go, morally it might not seem right, but what is right anymore?"

Allen knew what Kanda was saying was true, and he made a good point, what was right anymore?

"... has my lawyer talked to you? I'm supposed to be dead so she should have come to see you..."

"Yeah... I talked to her... I can't believe you did that."

"So you know then."

"It was during my visit with Cross wasn't it? When there were still doubts?"

"Allen, even if you had rejected me I wouldn't have changed it... If this had all gone a different way I would have left it all under your name. Yes, It was when you talked with the bastard, I just... I didn't want you to know incase things went south."

Allen smiled over the phone, endeared, "Yeah... I know you would've."

"What did Mag's say? They fulfilling my wishes?"

"It's already all been processed, she told me they paid the bail already, and said I'm getting out of here sometime today. Lavi, the damn rabbit ass, didn't bother to tell me until last night so if she hadn't talked to me I'd probably still be crying..."

"Oh Moyashi..." Kanda whispered the nickname lovingly, "I'll come get you-"

"No! Kanda you can't! There's security everywhere! Someone would recognize you! You'd be arrested on the spot!"

"But Moya-"

"I said no Kanda, we need something more thought out then that! I don't want us to end up in an opposite situation where your in here and I'm not."

Allen jumped at the light tapping on his shoulder, swivelling in his spot to find his Uncle standing behind him with his naturally unsettling smile and grinning eyes.

"but, Moyashi, we've got to meet somehow! I can't handle just sitting here and I don't you owing the Earl a-"

Uncle Adam promptly cut Kanda off upon seeing Allen frown slightly, snatching the phone from his nephew's scarred hand.

"Oi, it's Kanda right? What's with the frown on my nephew's face?"

"What nephew?!" Allen heard the words as they were yelled through the phone.

Oh yeah... Allen might have forgotten to mention that little fact to Kanda.

"You didn't tell him?" His uncle whispered to him sharply in hurt surprise.

"It slipped my mind!" Allen hissed back.

"Oh, well, you lost your chance. Kanda, Allen's my nephew that I didn't know existed... No, I'm not joking!... whatever, just tell me the problem and Uncle Adam will fix it..."

There was a small silence as Kanda described the problem in his own words, Allen crossing his arms and waiting impatiently, he wanted to talk to Kanda again.

"...Pffft, that's it? Don't you worry your pretty little head about that, one of my best sellers is helping to launder money through a costume shop in the shittier part of town, grab some paper and a pen you'll want to remember this... okay? okay. The place is called 'For the Crazy's', the address is 224 Lyons street, that's L-Y-O-N-S street... good. Now, when you go inside, ring the bell twice and ask who ever comes for Grimmjow, the code word's 'Blue strawberry', he'll set you up... don't ask, he picked it last time we had to change it... yes, yes thats good, oh and if he asks 'cash only?' tell him 'it's the cat's milk. Now repeat it back too me.'

There was a small pause as the information was repeated back almost perfectly, making the Earl grin proudly.

"Good, good, I expected this kind of competence in my future nephew in law, good to know the boy has taste."

"Uncle!"

Adam ignored Allen's protests as he continued his talk with Kanda like the previous comment had never been made, ".. so then I'll call Jinx in a bit, have him set up a room for you two while I pull some strings. Let's see if we can't get you someplace nice to live, and about how far out are you?...Well then you better hurry if you want to be here when they let him out, the release will take a while but you don't want to keep Allen waiting do you?... Well no, I wasn't exactly sure just yet. Why? You have someplace in mind?... Aw, that's sweet, I give you my word, my lips are sealed... There? Really? Why?..." Adam rolled his eyes at whatever Kanda was telling him in secrecy, Allen listening in curiosity even though he couldn't hear his boyfriend's side of the conversation, "Because I would like to know!"

Another pause had Allen straining his ears to hear this little secret, the Earl making sure to keep the boy an arms length away from the phone and himself, "...ha, ha," his uncle laughed sarcastically, "a dream? funny. Fine then, don't tell me, just get your ass ready and down here. If I find out his not home by 10 I swear, I'll kill you without hesitation."

"Earl!"

"...Yeah, yeah, you love him and shit, just making sure you know, I found you once, I can find you again... No, No, I still have questions! What's this I hear about you taking my sweet nephew's innocence huh?"

"UNCLE ADAM!" Allen yelled lowly as his cheeks turned a red to rival roses, "Give me the damn phone!"

His Uncle sighed.

"Fine! Fine! He went silent anyways, it was nice talking to my nephew's future husband." Adam thrusted the phone towards Allen without giving Kanda a chance to reply, the young inmate giving his supposed Uncle the dirtiest look he could muster as he apologized to man on the phone.

"I am so sorry about him Kanda."

"Was that... Did he just give us his blessing?"

"Probably, but whatever."

"And you're sure your related to him?"

"Well he practically relived his childhood telling me about my father when I barely knew my fathers full name, so as far as I know, yes, and I'm just going to trust him."

"I'll believe it if you do."

A small smile crossed the white haired males lips unconsciously, "Thank you Kanda... I love you."

"I love you too my Moyashi."

Allen could feel himself just barely shaking as those words rang out on that beautiful baritone. Oh lord, how he'd missed that voice, those words in his ears, ever since the first time he heard the man say them he had anticipated hearing them over and over.

"God, you don't know how badly I wanted to hear you say that again."

"Allen, I do know." As Kanda spoke his voice just barely cracked, "I've been feeling the same way."

Allen grinned with a light relieved scoff, "You crying again Yuu?"

"Only for my Allen."

The Earl smiled as he listened to allen's side of the conversation, the boy seemed to forget he was there, the smirk on his young feature's genuine for once. He was glad to see the male so happy, but they were wasting time, Kanda needed to get on the road.

"Allen it's time to let him go, time is of the essence you know, and the longer you talk on the phone the longer you'll have to wait to see him in person."

Now Allen sighed, the Earl was right, and Allen was starting to feel the effects of his sleepless nights once again.

"Hey Kanda, I need to let you get on the road, I'll see you tonight, right?"

"I promise to ravage you tonight."

Allen blinked at the unexpected comment, his cheeks dusting with red tint as he felt his heart rate rise.

"You Pervert!" Allen whispered into the phone so Adam wouldn't hear, "... you promise?"

Kanda laughed light heartedly into the device, "Yes Moyashi, I promise with all my heart."

"Good, you better!... bye Yuu, I love you."

"Bye Allen, I love you more."

"Oh shut up, you do not."

"Bye."

"Bye."

There was a small silence between the two as they both hesitated hanging up the phone, a moment of silence that was broken when Allen heard the smallest 'Goodbye' whispered into his ear, the word sounding chocked like the speaker was crying.

The drama queen was crying again, and it made a tear run down Allen's own cheek.

He smiled as he gently handed the small device back to the Earl, Allen felt as light as flower petals being whisked away in the wind, his shoulders feeling like a great weight had been taken off them.

"Thank you Adam, for doing all this, I wish there was some way to repay you f-"

"Allen, please, your family and it's my job to make sure your happy from now on... it's what your father would have wanted."

The white haired prisoner could feel the tears as they welled up in his eyes, his heart still beating erratically in his chest from his elating talk with Yuu, he couldn't believe that hearing such kind words spoken directly to him, that were said with such affection and love, where becoming a regularity in his life.

His Uncle smiled at him, Allen thanking him one last time before turning to leave the cell.

"What? No goodbye slash thank you hug for your dear Uncle Adam?"

Allen just shook his head tiredly patting his Uncle's shoulder, a tiny smile never leaving his lips.

"I'm going to go eat something and take a nap before I collapse."

The Earl nodded, opening the door for his scarred nephew, Allen surprised by the Jasdevi waiting outside.

"Jasdevi?"

"Heyyyyyy, you ready to go? I figured you'd want some company when you braved these halls with your puzzle back together."

"Thanks Jasdevi."

Allen let the thin man walk quietly with him towards and down the twisting stairs of block A, Jasdvei taking a silent note of the small innocent grin that was now imprinted on the younger mans lips.

"So... Skinn said you had a call... it was him wasn't it? You were right? He's up and as grumpy as usual?" Jasdevi asked as they reached the end of the stairs.

Allen just looked at him, a shine in those wet silvery eyes, Jasdevi just noticing now that they were red rimmed from crying.

"I-it's a long story but yeah he'll be fine, doctor's said it was a miracle he wasn't killed, but Jas you mind if you hear it from the Earl? I just want to eat something and go to bed."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it man. No offence but you look like you ran into a truck."

Allen rolled his eyes, before putting a hand on Jasdevi's shoulder, "Thank you Jasdevi... for all this. Uncle Adam told me your reason's for all this, and I'm sorry you had to go through that. without your help... Kanda and I would be even worse off then before."

"Allen don't thank me I-"

"No Jas, I won't hear it, you kept seven extra years off my sentence, I'd be in here forever and Kanda would have waited... I wouldn't have been able to find him after the four years, everything would have just been a mess... Jas, if you need anything, anything at all, you just ask, I'm a friend so don't be a stranger."

Allen gave him his signature smile and Jasdevi felt his heart melt a little, Allen was adorable and uncomprehendingly kind... it was no wonder Kanda had fallen for the man so deeply so quickly, one smile from allen felt like it could warm the coldest of hearts.

Allen was a light, an angel, even in his own darkness.

"Bye Jasdevi, keep in touch."

"Haha, knowing the boss I'll have too... Bye Allen, I wish you and the grumpy samuri the best."

And then they went their separate ways, Jasdevi climbing the stairs back up to his boss, and Allen hurrying his way to the caf, hoping they were still open or that Jerry was in the kitchen still. The empty void he called a stomach was crying out to him loudly now that Allen was listening, those two orange slices this morning had been like throwing two pebbles into the grand canyon, the small morsels seeming to just make him hungrier.

And after he got some food in his stomach, he was definitely taking a nap.
