Meeting Bakoran

"I thought you said they were friendly now." Wave shouted as she pushed a few buttons on the control panel, eliminating a few missles that were launched from the Black Comet with the newly equipped weapon.

"They are." Sonic stated from underneath the dashboard of the ship. He searched the wires that were tangled inside, grabbing yellow one before looking for another type that best connect with it, "I never said they weren't paranoid though." Shadow growled at the statement as the vehicle shook from an impact with a lucky projectile.

"That would've been some good information to know, Faker." the ebony hedgehog glared down at the blue guardian as Sonic peeked out from underneath the dashboard and mess of wires.

"We wouldn't have to worry about this if I knew that the communication was damaged." the blue hedgehog snapped as emerald eyes glared at the purple swallow, "I could've got it fixed when we were upgrading the airship for a space voyage."

"Could you two please stop arguing and focus on the task at hand?" Vector stated loudly as he patched up a small hole in the ship.

"Well we wouldn't be in this mess if she told me about this issue before."

(Sometime Earlier)

"Wrench." Wave stated as she held a waiting hand out for the required equipment.

"Got it." Storm replied as he grabbed one of the wrenches on the nearby table and placed it in the swallow's hand. The technician of the Babylon Rogues twisted a bolt until it was firmly locked in place in the metal it was in.

"There, that should do for the defensive shield in case we run into trouble." she stated as she looked back at her handiwork before exited the room, pushing the albatross out before he could do anything to mess it up.

"Hey what was that for?" Storm protested as he was shoved out the room.

"I can't trust you to be by yourself around my stuff. The last time I did so you broke a new extreme gear I was working on and the blow torch." the swallow replied as they headed to the large lobby-like area in air ship. As they entered, they noticed all but the blue hedgehog had returned from their task in an attempt to update the ship, "Sonic's still not done yet."

"Well putting in a warp speed does take sometime, and usually requires some assistance." Tails stated.

"I blame his ego for not asking for help." the red echidna stated, arms crossed against his chest.

"I'm sure Sonic's capable of doing so, he is amazing you know." Amy said, the last part muttered dreamily at the thought of the blue hedgehog.

"Do you guys think we should check on him." Rouge stated.

"What Sonic does is no concern of mine." Shadow replied as he leaned against the white wall.

"Well I like to know how's he doing this by himself." the purple swallow walked down another hall, heading to the ship's control room where the blue guardian was working in. A few other followed behind.

"Hey Sonic, you sure you don't need any...help.?" several pair of eyes widened as they noticed the blue hedgehog standing in front of an opened control panel. An assortment of equipment was laid near him either on nearby tables or on the floor. His short, stub-like tail most hedgehogs had was replaced by a long and scaly one, similar to that of his dragon form but smaller to accommodate his current size.

Blue ears perked up as he turned to face them, "Hey guys, sorry bout taking so long, my fire was starting to act up." he stated.

"Your...fire?" Sonic's face turned into an amused disbelief before he made his mouth make an 'o' shape and let loose a small amount of blue fire. He held it for a few seconds before releasing it.

"I'm part dragon remember." Sonic replied as he used his transformed tail to pick up a screw driver and used his hands to lift up the control panel's cover. Holding it down, his tail twisted as he screwed in the screws into the metal sheet, keeping it intact with rest of the device, "And done. Is there anything else we need before we leave." Wave thought about it before shrugging her shoulders.

"Nothing off the top of my head. I say we're set to go."

"Alright then, what are we waiting for. Black Comet, here we come."

(Back to Present)

Sonic grabbed a blue wire and shoved at the yellow one, causing a small spark to occur between the two before the large screen showed a bit of static before the red and black face of a Black Arm appeared on the screen.

"You are trespassing in Black Arm territory. Surrender now and...,"

"Woah, woah, woah, wait a sec, Bakoran." Sonic stated as he got up from the metal floor, brushing his fur in case it had accumulated any dust, "We just came for Blackwing's gem."

"Oh, Sonic," Bakoran stated in slight surprise, his red eyes widening as he spotted the blue hedgehog, "didn't know you were coming by ship." The red and black alien turned his head to the side as white horns shined dully in the small amount of light, "Hey guys, have the meteorite launcher discharged and have all troops prepare the hangar for our guests arrival."

"So you are the newest Black Arms leader." Shadow stated as the Bakoran returned his attention to them.

"Ah yes, and you're Shadow, the one to put my Dad into a serious coma." a serious expression was clearly seen before being broken by a fairly large grin, "man, do you know how much of a hero you are to my people. We might look all cruel and have the tendency to fight a lot, but we're actually a very peaceful race. Anyway, come on and I'll try to make up for the sudden attack."

(Several Minutes Later)

"I must admit, the Black Comet has changed a lot from the last time I was here during the invasion." Shadow stated as the group walked through one of the several corridors that traveled throughout the comet. Some looked around, those who had been on the Black Comet before noticed the introduction of tapestry and pictures littering the wall in a pattern, torches adorned the sides of the doorway leading into other parts of the alien home. Shadow had took a few quick glances at the new decoration, but allowed his gaze to only focus mainly on their guide.

"Yeah, I wanted to add to the interior design of the place. Black Doom had this all removed to avoid any distractions." Bakoran had stated, personally meeting the group at the hangar to give them a brief tour of the place, "Also, we started adding stores and restaurants here and are getting things from all over the universe, well, legally this time."

"Cool, I could use a proper meal?" Bakoran chuckled at the hedgehog's response.

"Of course you would be hungry Sonic." He looked over to the rest of the group, "However, if you wish to not eat, we have several other things for you to do on your brief stay. For the girls, a luxurious spa, the technicians, a mechanic shop and lab, and for our fighters, a gym with a built-in simulator."

"That is very tempting an offer Bakoran, but we have an important mission to complete." Rouge stated.

"YES, THE RETRIEVAL OF THE GEM KNOWN AS BLACKWING"S AGATE." Omega added in.

"Ah yes, the Shadow Dragon's gem should be with the cult in the altar, dragon of Mobius deserves respect especially since he saved our kind from extinction. I'll see if I can have it returned." the large Black Arm stated as he closed his red eyes, all four hands clasped together as he went into deep thought.

"Uh, what is he doing?" the gray albatross asked to the blue hedgehog as eyed the strange behavior of Bakroan.

"Telepathically messaging another Black Arm through the hive's mind." Sonic responded.

"Then I should be able to sense it if is going through that, so he must be doing something else." Shadow stated, being half the blood of the infamous alien race and nearly corrupted by Black Doom if it wasn't for his high resistance against it. Sonic shook his head slightly.

"You wouldn't be able to because this is a private messaging in the hive's mind. Bakoran developed this part in the hive's mind to enable conversations throughout the ship at anytime without the feeling of lack of privacy and personal life. The one you're most known to is the one many nickname 'One Mind', where everyone is under one thought by one person, such as Black Doom during the invasion." Sonic stated as the group noticed the alien stir once more from whatever conversation that took place.

"Well then," Bakoran turned around and faced the group, "The group would be gladly to return the gem to you, but sadly, they will only return it when their meeting is done. That is alright because their is one thing I wanted to do since you all got here." His eyes showed a slight mischievous glint as he looked down as his adopted brother. A smirk crossed his face, one that both Shadow, Jet, and Knuckles easily recognized as one of those that rivals give each other before some type of competition.

"Sonic Hedgegon, I challenge you to battle in the newly made stadium."
