A/N: I'm lazy and I'm late and I'm sorry but you'll forgive me eventually because you love me.
Disclaimer: Not mine Lost Girl is (insert Yoda voice here).
Everyone spun around to see where the voice had come from. Bo leapt from her place at the counter, dagger already in hand, and put herself in a defensive stance between Tamsin and the new threat. Aloysia was standing, back straight with her feet firmly on the ground snarling menacingly, guarding Lauren. Her white hair now fell to her knees, having yanked the objects that had been holding it in its messy bun, which proved to be two thin, shiny daggers. Dyson was in pre-wolf-mode with his eyes yellow, his teeth out, and his hands turned out, claws at the ready. But nothing prepared them for the sight they were met with.
Nothing.
When the group turned to face their opponents, their eyes fell upon an empty bar. Tamsin, having stood shortly after Bo, prepared to fight with the others, extracted one of the blades from the counter where they had been sitting. She examined the object carefully, turning it over in her hands when her face turned hard as stone. She inhaled deeply and pressed her lips together in a thin line before passing the blade to Dyson.
The shifter took the sharpened object and immediately realized why the Valkyrie had reacted the way she did. Etched into the handle of the knife, was the same crest-like emblem with the familiar script letter T in the center. The detective then jabbed the blade back into the counter behind him.
"Tynan," Dyson growled as he took up his defensive stance once more. "He's here."
"Very good, wolf," the smooth voice sounded again. "Though, that name is a bit too informal coming from someone of your...breed."
Every head in the group turned in the direction the voice was coming from. Leaning casually against one of the booths along the wall to their left was a woman. She was beautiful – uncommonly so. She appeared to be about Lauren's height, give or take a few inches and her build was slightly more athletic than that of the doctor. She had straight, white hair that flowed to the base of her ribcage and nearly blended with her unnaturally fair skin. Her eyes were thin and heavily lined in black with irises the color of a fallen rose petal. She wore white denim jeans that met with a pair of bright red sneakers; her top half clad in a brilliant white top with silver studs sprinkled along the low-cut collar and a flashy white leather jacket.
It was as if she reflected light, wearing so much white that one would think they were blinded by the sight of her. With so much ivory, one had almost no choice but than to be drawn to her crimson eyes, for they were the only source of real color to be found on her person at all.
"Who the hell are you," Bo spat, taking a step towards the stranger, dagger in hand. Just as she did so, the girl disappeared into thin air.
"That's really not important," the voice said from across the pub. Everyone spun around again and found this mysterious fae girl perched nonchalantly atop the pool table with her legs dangling over the front. "But if you must know," she hopped off the object and took a few slinking steps towards the group as she spoke, "my name is Piper."
"Okay, Piper, whoever you are...what do you want?" Bo asked skeptically with narrowed eyes. The brunette felt Tamsin's body stiffen beside her and immediately put her senses on high alert. She knew the blonde didn't get tense like this unless there was a significant threat approaching and she didn't like how uneasy her partner was behaving.
"The wolf said it; we're here under the orders of Dax. So what other reason would we have to be here other than-"
"Lorelei," Bo breathed. The girl laughed maliciously, much to Bo's unrest. She could feel the anger building in her system and she could practically taste the bitter fumes of fury radiating from the blonde to her left. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a slight movement, just as Tamsin was about to charge the newcomer.
"Tamsin," Bo warned, grabbing ahold of her bicep before she could make it farther than a couple of steps, but that was apparently enough to set off alarms of attack because before the succubus even had her hand on her companion's body, four more figures appeared from nothingness before their eyes. Two stood on each side of the girl, Piper.
All were dressed in the same blinding white as the first. To Piper's far right, was a lanky, dark-complected man. He wore a long, white tailcoat over his white button-down shirt and formal pants. Beside him, to Piper's direct right, was a small girl, a bit shorter than Kenzi and of average build. She had thick, dark brown curls that fell just passed her shoulders, beautifully complimenting her medium olive complexion. She wore white jeans and a basic zip-up hoodie which she had zipped all the way to the top.
The stranger nearest to the Dal's exit was a large, brutish boy who looked no older than nineteen or twenty. He had bright orange curls atop his head, small, dark green eyes, and dark freckles sprinkled across the middle of his pale face. He stood with his hands stuffed into the middle pocket of his hooded sweatshirt. The remaining fae was a girl who looked barely sixteen with dirty-blonde hair cut in short layers that stopped just below her jaw and spread across her forehead in choppy bangs. She had large, round, royal blue eyes that stood out brightly from the rest of her appearance. She wore simple white oxfords, white skin-hugging pants with rips and tears from waist to ankle, and a white leather crop-top.
"Careful, Valkyrie. Wouldn't want to upset my brothers and sisters now, would we?" Piper sneered, smirking tauntingly at the already infuriated blonde. The others beside her snickered.
"Look, bitch, I don't know what you think you're here to do, but I can tell you now, you're not going anywhere near that girl as long as I'm still breathing," Tamsin snarled.
"Well, we may just have to take care of that little road block then, won't we guys?" Piper said with a smile, causing her companions to laugh and grin in instigating agreement. This time it was Bo who lost her patience, lunging towards the arrogant, red-eyed girl in the center.
"If you even so much as think about touching her, I will have your heads before you can even consider taking a last breath!" The brunette didn't make it far in her rampage before the Valkyrie's quick reflexes kicked in.
"Cool it, Bo!" Tamsin demanded, wrapping her arms around the succubus' waist and hauling her back to the bar. During the commotion, no one seemed to notice the disappearance of the young blonde girl that had stood at Piper's left side. That is, until a shriek and a loud thunk sounded through the pub. Bo stopped struggling and turned her attention to the far right of the happy sunshine gang.
In doing this, she found Aloysia pinning the fae to the floor with her elbow pressed firmly across the young girl's throat, her knee holding still against her abdomen, and one of the two thin daggers from her hair held taut to the skin of her neck. She had a sickening smirk across her face and the slight red rim in her icy irises seemed to have spread, making her eyes look almost as rosy as Piper's. There was a glint of excitement and the threat of death in the way she eyed the girl beneath her.
"Aloysia!? Wha-" Bo stammered to the white haired Nixie.
"She made an advance towards you Bo," Aloysia explained, her voice darker than usual. "Do you really think I'd let that happen?"
Looking back at the group of white clad fae before her, Bo noticed Piper holding her arm out in front of the well-dressed man and the short girl. She held onto the shoulder of the burly red-head with the other. She smiled, making the succubus uncomfortable.
"Impressive, Nixie. Darcie is fast...not many can keep up with her, let alone capture her," Piper admired, narrowing her eyes and tilting her head ever so slightly while staring at Aloysia.
"No one outruns a Nixie." Aloysia said matter-of-factly.
"Well, like I said, Darcie is fast. It's one of her gifts. But she can get a bit ahead of herself and do things that will easily get her killed. Isn't that right, Darcie?" The red-eyed woman turned her glare to the young girl, staring up at her from her place beneath Aloysia with pleading eyes.
"Look, we don't want any trouble. So just let the idiot kid go and I'll handle her myself," Piper sighed, clearly annoyed with the actions the young girl, Darcie, had taken. Aloysia hesitated but finally released the terrified blonde with a growl of frustration. "Thank you. Now, give us the Nixie child – Lorelei, was it? Give her to us and we will be on our way. Her father appreciates your care of her and wishes to rid you of the burden."
"Not a chance, bitch." Tamsin said, still holding Bo's wrist, partly to keep the succubus from lunging again and partly to keep herself in a stable frame of mind so she wouldn't do anything irrational. "The kid stays with us."
"As you wish, Valkyrie. Just know, we gave you your chance. Don't expect such delicacies next time we meet – and we will meet again. He won't rest until he gets what he wants." As soon as the last syllable left her pale lips, Piper was gone, along with the other four vanishing fae, leaving the Dal empty except for the very on-edge and confused group at the bar.
