Wow I'm really late on this chapter. I meant to have this done for July 4th whoops, I completely forgot about it until yesterday. So here it is my very late July 4th piece.
Brittany smiles as she walks into the house to see her "mother-in-law" and kids playing some pretend game in the living room. She's just spent a fortune on fireworks for tonight. Since it's the fourth of July she plans on giving her family a show since they can't go out to a show with Ashely who keeps shifting.
"Where's San?" Brittany asks expecting to see Santana with them as well.
"I sent her out to the salon. She needs a few hours to herself." Maria says smiling at her daughter's mate. "So Luna was telling me that you two aren't married in the human sense."
"Yeah we obviously didn't at first since it wasn't allowed and just haven't gotten around to it since it's been allowed-" Brittany says being cut off by Maria.
"Well I think you ought to. I get that being mated is just like being married, but getting married in the human sense would make everything easy if anything ever happened to either of you." Maria says.
"We actually are engaged and planning to get married on Halloween since that's when she imprinted on me." Brittany says glad that Maria has moved in with them making both their lives easier.
"Good, I'm glad that I'll get to be there." Maria says as Luna comes in.
"Mama!" Luna shouts just noticing that her mom is home.
"Hey baby girl, you ready for fireworks." Brittany says lifting her up in her arms.
"Yep," Luna says all smiles.
Just then Jake runs in with Ashley in wolf form on his heels.
"I help mama!" Jake shouts leaping up into her arms.
Brittany's knocked over by Ashley who also leaps on her.
"Woah, looks like everyone's excited for the fireworks mama bought." Santana says arriving just in time to see her mate fall to the ground.
"Honey I thought I told you to spend as much time as you needed out, not only an hour." Maria says.
"Mami, I really just wanted to come home and spend some quiet time with my family before the madness starts later with fireworks going off." Santana says helping Brittany up so she can cuddle into her.
"I help!" Jake shouts.
"Mom make Ashley stop biting my pants." Luna whines.
"Woof," Ashley barks growling as she tugs on Luna's pant leg.
"Come here baby girl." Santana says picking Ashley up.
"I made taco salad for lunch." Maria says and they all rush into the dining room.
Everyone absolutely loves Maria's taco salad so much that it goes in under five minutes.

"You're in for a treat grandma, mama's fireworks are amazing." Luna says snuggling into Maria's side.
"I can't wait to see them." Maria says smiling at her granddaughter.
Santana watches this interaction from the back door as she grabs a few blankets knowing that her mate has set up at least a twenty minute show and they'll all get chilled. She loves that her mom is in her kids' lives now. It's all she's ever wanted was her kids to know her mother and their grandma especially since Brittany's actual family is long dead and her vampire family even now isn't fond of non vampires.
"Mommmm," Ashley growls pulling on Santana's leg trying to get up on her feet.
"Come on little one let's go watch the fireworks with your grandma and sister." Santana says picking up the toddler.
Santana sits next to her mom and eldest daughter.
"So when's this show going to start?" Maria asks.
"In a few seconds." Brittany says jogging over with Jake in tow.
"I gots to light it." Jake says happily, climbing on Brittany's lap.
"Good for you," Maria says just before the fireworks start.
"Wow," everyone says as the fireworks light up the dark sky.
The show goes on for twenty-two minutes before the big bang finale.
"Babe that was amazing." Santana says lifting her head off of Brittany's shoulder.
"I'm glad you all liked it." Brittany says smiling.
"Best show yet." Luna happily says.
"It sure was," Santana says.
"That was something else." Maria says still in awe.

"Um, babe it's been too long." Santana moans as Brittany feeds on her.
"Well thankfully your mom took the kids to the park leaving us alone for the afternoon." Brittany says lifting her head and looking down at her mate.
"I miss being able to do this whenever we want." Santana says kissing her mate.
"I know, but that's what we get for having kids." Brittany softly says.
"And yet I wouldn't trade it for the world." Santana says moaning as Brittany's hand makes it way down her body.
"Enough talk about the kids let's fuck." Brittany says.
They go at it for several hours before they hear the door open.
"Fuck," they both shout.
"I'll get dressed and go see them." Brittany says having more energy than her half asleep mate.
"I'll get up too." Santana says trying to get up.
"Go to sleep baby." Brittany softly says.
She heads downstairs and ends up on her back when all three kids tackle her.
