"I wish I could Bubble Wrap my heart

In case I fall and break apart

(…)

You're standing in the moonlight

But you're black on the inside"

(Bubble Wrap – McFly)

TINKERBELL

The night had gone by uneventfully, which was quite strange considering the whole lot of things that had happened to her and their party while on the search for Sam. After Peter had stomped away from the fire, playing the big macho alfa he wanted to look like, Tink couldn't feel any pity for him, not even sorry, but she could relate at some point with the pain of unrequited longing.

She had decided to think that the feeling, which was brewing inside of her, was longing and nothing more. She couldn't think of other feelings at the moment. Who could anyway? Not even Sam might be thinking of it. Knowing her she should probably be throwing a tantrum at Hook for him being the one to reach her first, although her heart would be telling otherwise, even more when she, in the mist of her mixed feelings for the pirate spotted Bunny, safe and sound, as Tink knew he would do. She had noticed his eyes soften every time he looked at the boy. Not sure if because of how close the boy was to Sam or because Bunny, for spending so much time with her was picking some of her mannerisms. Be as it may, the fact that she knew Hook would be safe company for the boy didn't pass her unnoticed.

Knowing her part at the ritual she thought that a good night's rest was needed, not only for her, but also for each and everyone of the boys since the walk to the tree would take almost half a day by foot. So, when she had finished her serving and realized the others had done the same, she rose from the floor and glanced around to see if Peter had returned, even though just a small amount of time had passed. Her heart did a little squeeze, which she didn't know what it meant and departed to her tent. She would be sharing it with Tiger Lily, only for the night, while the boys would all stay at the tent they were they had been kept captive that morning, but with the slight difference of their hands being unbound.

The walk was really short because the Chief's tent was near his own, which meat near the center of their tribe, placing it steps from the fire, for protection measures and location as well. Tink brushed the cloth that was meant to represent a door, aside and entered it, finding the girl adjusting a net for her on the other side of the room.

"Thanks for that by the way." The pixie broke the silence as she looked at her friends work.

"Not a problem." Lily smiled as she turned around to face Tink and walked to her, placing her hand on Tink's shoulder. "You need rest, but I need one answer before we can lay and wait for the next sunrise."

The pixie looked a little taken a back by that. She squeezed her eyes at Lily, trying to read her as she had seen Sam doing it many times before, although Sam didn't need to almost shut her eyes as she did so.

Even thought Tink tried she didn't find anything.

What a hell of a pixie I am.

"Alright." Tink shrugged her shoulders, what else could she do? She didn't even know the question.

"There's something happening between you and Peter isn't it?"

Her eyes shot out from her face as her eyebrows went up.

"Wh-… What…. I mean…nothing is happening!" Retorted the pixie while opening and closing her mouth like a fish.

"Tink, do not forget, we Mohican's have been gifted by Neverland with knowledge and perceptiveness." Lily rubbed Tink's arm in a comforting way. "You don't need to tell me, but I know it does not involve only the two of you. It is something bigger, there are other people involved, as well as hearts. And they are being broken in the process." The raven-haired girl in front of her gave Tink a sad smile. "I just don't want people getting more hurt than it's necessary."

Well, that was not what she was expecting to hear.

At all.

Maybe a tip about tomorrow's ritual or something, but nothing like that. So what now? Would she answer Lily and tell what was going on inside her mind and heart? Everything was so confusing, how could this situation have a solution?

Letting out a sigh the indian let her hand drop from Tink's arm and nodded slightly.

"I understand."

And just like that she moved to the bundle of furs that was her bed and laid down, wrapping herself on them, saying a quick goodnight and that they would see each other at the next day.

Tink's feet had glued themselves to the ground at that moment and she blinked her eyes more times than she could count, grasping their whole conversation once more.

Humans! Will never get what goes through their minds.

And with that last thought and a shake of her head she moved herself to the net Lily had previously arranged for her, letting sleep take over faster than she had intended it too.

The next morning and afternoon was filled with tasks to be completed. Small and simple ones, as well as the more complicates too. The body paint needed to be done, the food also needed to be fetched and prepared before cooked, because although a ritual it was also a festival for the tribe. There was also need to fetch as much firewood as possible for the bonfire. It needed to be big and tall as ever.

They all helped as they could.

When the sun started to make it's descend Tiger Lily was sent by her father to fetch them all. The boys were all without theirs shirts because they had been taken by some of the women to receive a few drawings, marks, that adorned their bodies with a rainbow of colors at the moment. Each and everyone had chosen their favored colored, something that would bring them strength and reassurance along the journey, as well as individualize their personalities. While Tink had stood behind, waiting for them all beside the Chief, once her eyes landed on the sight of Peter her breath caught on her throat, but she played it off and kept her cool face. She couldn't let emotions get on the way tonight. Focus was the most important thing right now.

Although, she had to admit, he looked so savage with all those drawings on his chest as well as his disheveled hair… but her attention was stolen by his eyes.

His green eyes.

They were so focused on something far away and absorbing the light from the fire at the bonfire that it felt as if it was going to get inside of him and give him something in return.

Glancing away from him Tink noticed that the boys were being placed in a big circle around the bonfire, where she and the Chief found themselves now inside, imprisoned by the linked elbows of the boys, which would keep their connection steady for the ritual and both her and the Chief as their point of attention.

Drums were playing high outside the circle and the chants echoed by the Mohican tribe under the moonlight gave her the chills. The noise was maddening but once the Chief held up his hand all sound vanished, except for that of the forest and the wind.

Tiger Lily watched everything from a distance, her focus never wavering, connected with her father. The Chief spoke words she had heard once in a ritual much like this, years ago, in a time long lost in her memories, giving her a reason to why their meaning was lost to her at the moment.

The man kept talking and talking with the same tone of voice, in a trance, until one moment, all of a sudden, he started twirling in place, agitating the ground beneath their feet, raising dust and crunching leafs. When he stopped in front of her and grabbed her hand, raising it to the skies she knew it was time.

Her time.

She closed her eyes and started twirling much like the man had done before. But there was one little difference from her to the Chief, as she twirled the magic within her started to work and when she began sparkling that was the moment she felt that hot sensation and in a blink of an eye she had shrunk her size to that one of a real pixie.

Tink flew from one boy to another, kissing their foreheads, giving them her blessing as a pixie and saying:

"With the magic within me, I, the pixie known as Tinkerbell of the South Leafs, give you my blessing to enter and visit our safe heaven and paradise, The Sacred Tree."

She repeated the action and words until the only person left was Peter.

Being back in the size considered normal to pixies for their travels and activities as well as having to deal with one emotion at a time was much easier than before, but now, here, looking at Peter her tiny little body was filled with one, and one feeling only.

Love.

Oh my King and Queen of the pixies.

This is NOT the right feeling. NOT AT ALL!

She did the blessing and repeated the words, but once done, when Peter opened his eyes and looked straight at hers she felt a shock run through her whole tiny body. Tink glanced past him, shaking her head and flying to Tiger Lily just to give her a goodbye and say to her what she should have said before.

"It is done than Tinkerbell. Under the Disseminating Moon the border is opening for you all." She pointed with her slender fingers to the green magical barrier opening slowly to them.

"Yes, yes. Thanks for your help and hospitality but before I go I need to tell you Lily, please listen…"

"No need to Tinkerbell. I already know."

The pixie stared shocked at her friend, which in return gave her a flashing smile.

"I am not blind Tinkerbell, and it does not feel bad to be perceptive as well, since I can see the answer written in your face as you stare at him."

"But, is it so obvious?"

"Only if you are looking at it." She reassured Tink. "Now go fly and find this Samantha. She will need as much help as she can get from today onward."

Tink inclined her head and stared at Lily inquisitively.

"What do you mean by 'as much help as she can get'? Is she in trouble?! I mean, more than she has been already?"

"Not right now, but just know this, she will have a hard path to walk and this path will have everyone's fates on the palm of her hand. But do not worry right now."

Tink was about to fly closer to her when she raised her hand and stopped Tink from coming near.

"Go! We will stay and celebrate your success."

"Fine!" And with that she turned back to the boys and headed to the border. She knew it was time to turn big again when they were already expecting for her with their stuff in hands at the entrance of the trail to the Sacred Tree.

When finished and at the normal size Tink spotted Tiger Lily at her father's side, watching their departure. Both girls smiled at each other, acknowledging the other with a nod and with a wave of their hands they parted ways.

Tink was leading the party and once inside the border, at her home, in which she hadn't visited for so many long months, or years, she had lost count, she inhaled deeply. The sweet smell of flowers filled her nostrils and she sighed while a small smile made it's way through her lips, but it was over as soon as she remembered her duties.

Schooling her features she looked straight ahead and pointed to a massive tree not so far from where they were walking.

"See that over there boys? That Tree? It's our destiny. Pixie Hollow."

They all cheered and gave each other high fives while screaming 'we did it'.

"Let's go boys. Quick and straight ahead, if we keep a steady pace we will reach the sacred tree in less than five hours." And at the thought of five hours of walking she heard all their joyous screams turn into grumbles of frustration.

Peter on the other hand quickened his pace and came to be side by side with her, letting her lead the way but letting her know that she would be following his pace.

"What are we waiting for then Tink?" Peter said quickening his pace once more. "Let's go! We don't have time to waste."

"Yes, indeed." She whispered. "No time at all."

*COUGHS*

I'M ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE! I SURVIVED!

Hello my lovelies, how are you all? So let's recap my last couple of weeks and we'll come back to the chapter.

So, two terrible weeks of exams and then on Saturday I went out with my friends to a party which I returned home only on Sunday at morning and got a terrible hangover. Then I got sick on monday (7 of April) and spent my birthday (8 of April) at bed with a fever that made me grumpy and sad so I didn't had the best of birthdays, the I still had fever on the next day, but it went away with all the medicine I'm taking. Then the week ended and here I am, writing to you guys.

FINALLY RIGHT? uashduahudh I have all these ideas in my head but I needed to write this chapter before I wrote the others and it took so long to write this one. I had a major writers block plus the things that happened with me and stuff.

So, how are you guys? I just told I had a creepy week and birthday but I think you guys enjoyed the break from me quite well didn't ya all? Or did you guys missed me? BECAUSE I MISSED YOU ALL D:

Ok, this chapter…. They crossed the border and of to Sam we go. This is the same night the ball is happening. The Disseminating moon was the hint. DId you guys got that? SO… the next chapter will go back to the Sacred Tree and will have a lot of POV as it's normal in Pixie Hollow hahahaha and I think Think and Peter will get there not at the next chapter but the other one. And I'm done with their POV for a bit. I need to focus on other characters now and the plot.

Hope you could enjoy this little chapter and I'm already writing the next one. It will be sooner than later. Keep alert! :)

PS: ONCE UPON A TIME IS KILLING ME! TOMORROW IS A HOOKCENTRIC EPISODE! AND HE'S IN A ARMOR! SO SEXY! MY PIRATE *-*
