A.N. Alright! I would like to thank the few people, guest or otherwise, who have been helping me make my first fan fiction a good one! You have all helped a lot, thank you so much for taking the time to critique my work, it means a lot and it helps let me know that people are actually reading lol!

Alright, with no further delay, I bring you...

Chapter 21: Prelims- Lee VS Misumi!

Kin pushed her way past Sakura, Dosu following suit, "Your not the only ones with injured friends princess! If you don't remember, that shadow friend of yours blew Zaku's hands off!"

Sakura hmphed as she and Naruto turned hard to walk away.

Kin smirked to herself, she turned to Dosu once she was certain they were out of hearing range, "You got that, right?"

Dosu held up his gauntlet, "Of course..." Sound started scratching out from his arm, then, though heavy with static, a girls voice came through, "What. Are you, two doing here!?"

|Stands|

Naruto and Sakura made it back just in time to see the board shuffling through the names that were yet to be called.

Sakura and Naruto unconsciously stood a little farther, but when Naruto saw Sakura Rubbing her arms, he couldn't help notice the bruises on her arms.

Naruto pulled Hinata's medicine out of his pocket and opened it up. He grabbed Sakura's hand and held her arm out to him, "Here, these bruises are exactly the kind of thing this is for right? Annoying wounds that are not medical emergencies, right?"

Sakura couldn't pull her arm away as chills were sent up them by his touch, she couldn't look at him, "Naruto... you really shouldn't, she gave this to you, and you haven't even had your fight yet..." 'Why am I feeling like this!? Shannaro! Snap out of it!'

Naruto was just finishing up, "Shut up will ya, it's what friends are for, right? And I heal quickly as it is anyway, not that I'll get a scratch on me... And if it's bad enough to worry about, I go to the medic ward, and they'll fix me up..."

Before Sakura could reply, a voice from the stage took their attention, "Hajime!"

|Stage|

On the board were the names Rock Lee and a Tsurugi Misumi, however, You didn't need to look at the board to see the two forms clashing below.

Lee had instantly closed the gap between him and Misumi and began his series of punch and kick combos. Taijutsu was Rock's specialty, however, he had been matched against someone who was not easy to fight hand to hand...

Misumi was simply avoiding every blow Rock Lee would throw, "Is that all you got kid? Come on Uni-brow, what can you really do?"

Lee was surprised at how easily this person was dodging his combos, he wasn't giving it his full, but he would have to step it up a notch if he wanted to hit this guy.

Even after picking his speed up, he was still barley missing Misumi, however, he noticed something.. Tsurugi was a lot more flexible than most people... His movements were all just so smooth and fluid. Lee had to end this quick before his opponent decided to stop playing around.

Lee disappeared from view and was immediately behind Misumi, "*Leaf Whirlwind!*"

Lee sent a feint high kick which was easily dodged, but narrowed the margin for error as Lee sent a swift low sweeping kick, which was still dodged as Misumi tucks up his legs, but now there was no way for him to dodge a powerful kick to his mid-section, however, just before contact, his spine stretched outward like rubber and his body went to wrap around Lee's own like a snake.

Lee disappeared just as Misumi was about to constrict him, getting a huge amount of distance between the two of themselves as he now stood on the statue of the Tiger/Fire Seal, "So that is your secret. Your flexibility is inhuman, so rather than you actual moving your muscles and joints to dodge me, you have complete manipulation of your anatomy, moving like a rubber man!"

|Stands|

Sakura grew pale, "That, that's is just so gross! The Human body shouldn't be able to do that! What's wrong with him!? That's how he has been keeping up with Lee!?"

Naruto looked solemnly, "He hasn't been keeping up with lee, he has just been playing with him..." 'They don't want some ninja who can't even use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu huh, that's it then...'

|Stage|

Misumi reformed his body and began to dig around in his pockets, "So it finally clicked did it? good for you, I had my body modified so that I could move my body and joints however I please, allowing me to hide in some very cramped spaces as you may imagine." He pulled out a harmless looking blue pill with the Kanji for Water on it, "You seem very proud of your Taijutsu, using chakra for nothing more than to increase your physical abilities, I wonder, is that all you can do with it?" He saw the face of the unitarded combatant and smirked to himself as he swallowed the pill under his mask, "Let's find out, shall we? This is an experimental pill that allows me to use my water based jutsu, even with no bodies of water nearby, let's see how you handle this!

Misumi flew through his hand signs, molding his chakra like taffy, "*Wind Style! Gale Palm Jutsu!"* Misumi unleashed his entire inventory of Shuriken and Kunai at once, wind chakra encasing them to make sure they flew true and would make shred whatever they hit like cheese, "*Water Style! Water Bullet Jutsu!*" The projectiles were now also covered in water, exponentially increasing their lethality, guaranteed now to not only slice through, but shoot holes into anything in they're path of destruction!

Lee looked to his sensei who in kind responded with his nice guy pose, "Drop them Lee!"

"Hai Guy Sensei!" Lee quickly undid the sweatbands around his ankles and dropped them from his perch and immediately blurred from sight inches before contact, only blurs could be seen as he dodged his way through the volley.

Everyone was speechless at the speed this 13 year old had. And even at this Misumi fellow, he was using a wind jutsu to enhance the speed and lethality of average gear and immediately used a water jutsu to compliment the wind jutsu, making it all the more lethal though highly unnecessary use of chakra just to show off and possibly over kill in a preliminary match! And where on earth did he get such a pill? It was incredibly suspicious...

Lee had made it, inches from Misumi's alarmed face, he vanished, but was now below him delivering a powerful kick sending him flying upwards.

And at the moment of contact, everyone's jaws dropped. Their maws were not ajar from amazement of Lee's ability to finally hit the rubber man, but rather by shock as they saw Lee's leg warmers land, uplifting clouds of dust for they were really weights, weights heavy enough to leave craters in the ground!

Misumi was soaring through the air when he was suddenly surrounded by bandages that squeezed tight around him, however, Lee was suddenly drenched in water as the binds crushed Misumi and all of a sudden, he was binded!

Misumi chuckled as he forced back Lee's limbs, "That was to close! You almost broke my neck kid! Good thing I planned ahead, I had a Water clone disguised as a puddle and i substituted with him just as I was sent flying! Sorry I can't play anymore, that water clone took a lot out of me and my Water pill just ran out! I am putting pressure across your joints rendering you immobile no matter how strong you are! Lets see if I can break all your bones before we hit the ground!"

|Stands|

Almost all of Lee's friends were worried for him right now, escape inconceivable. Gennin, Jonin, and even the Hokage himself was amazed by such a pill as the one Misumi had used, other than on minor scales, only the Second Hokage was known to be able relentlessly use water jutsu's without actually being near any bodies of water, and this Gennin had a pill that allowed him to unleash a large volley of Water Bullets aswell as a completely solid water clone! And his bizarre body modifications were entirely to suspicious as well, Hiruzen was certain that this was somehow Orochimaru's doing, his entire team would later be brought in for interrogation..

The Sound's Jonin instructor did not look pleased by Misumi's careless revealing of his experimental pill, if he didn't know that the Hokage surely knew by now of his return, he would be suspicious now, He would have to see to it that none of his surprises were revealed prematurely, so he couldn't risk arrests for suspicious activity, whatever was he to do...

Lee still weirded Sakura out, but he was a nice guy and maybe even a friend. Naruto felt likewise and couldn't look as Kabuto's words rang true through his head.

Lee's Team however looked on unfazed, fully well understanding that Lee had not tapped into his full abilities yet.

Guy shouted to his faithful disciple, "Lee! You have my permission! Use it now and give them a taste of your youth!"

|Stage|

Lee stiffened his body and began heating up, "Hai Guy-sensei! *First Gate of Opening! Open!*" Naruto had to turn his head to watch, even if it just meant feeding his false hope.

Misumi felt Lee's body temperature rise as his wrists were suddenly gripped and crushed as Lee was slowly pulling in his limbs with raw strength alone, "WHAT!? That's imposable!" Lee forced them into a spin as they began to descend and all stared in anticipation as the dust cleared showing both bodies on the floor, however, one pulled himself to his feet to be named winner.

"Tsurugi Misumi-!*Cough* You are-*Cough Cough* No longer able to continue! The Winner is Rock Lee!"

Misumi was completely stretched out and sprawled across the floor unconscious, needing multiple medics to carry him away. Rock Lee was completely exhausted, and though he was named victor, that did not mean he didn't need attention, nurses helped to walk him away aswell.

|Stands|

All of Lee's friends and half of his teammates cheered for his stunning victory. Even the sound ninja were stunned by his speed and physical prowess, well, everyone was honestly.

The whole half of the arena Lee had either a crater or a hole through it. Hayate didn't quite know how to deal with this mess, he looked to the Hokage who just gave an indifferent shrug then came to the conclusion that he would just have to tell everyone to be patient while the arena was repaired.

Hayate called for attention, "*Cough* I apologize for all of the delays but this field cannot be used as it is now do to too many hazards and abstractions *cough*" Everyone sighed hard and barked about the delays but he continued, "I am sorry, I know you are all tired and hurt, and trust me, we all just want to *cough* go home, this will only take a few minutes!"

Garra removed his gourd and waved his hand as sand poured out, " This is nonsense, I would suggest you move now you imbecile.."

Hayate jumped up to the railing quickly as sand spread across the field Hayate prepared for any funny business, as did every Chuunin and a few Jonin in the immediate area.

Garra's team also felt some uncertainty, not quite knowing what their impatient nakama would do.

The sand began to cover and fill in all of the holes and projectiles. When everything was covered, Garra placed his hands on to the sand at his feet, and with one pulse, it all compacted and hardened, fully repairing the arena. "Now continue to the next match..."

No one really knew what to say or think, most of them were just relieved that no one was killed.

Kiba was the only one who dared mutter a word as Akamaru whined, "Show off..."

Hayate, Hesitantly, stepped back onto the field, amazed, but still suspicious, at the red heads ability. It seemed secure enough, however, he unconsciously stood on the half of the field that had not been damaged.

Hayate signaled for the next match to be decided, and the bored began to roll through the names.

A.N. Whew, hope you all liked that one. I really feel as though Kabuto's team did not show enough before, so, I hyped him up a little to stand a chance against Lee. they were even interesting to bring back in a filler, so, why not? They are both Water natured in the filler, but the other one was also able to use the earth element, it did not say Misumi's second element. Sorry I took a little creative control there, but I know you guys probably didn't just want a simple little skirmish.
