Trip to America Pt One

I don't own Digimon

Chapter Twenty-One: Trip to America Part One

The sun had started to rise above Odaiba, and Daisuke grumbled when it broke through her curtains in her bedroom and she sat up in her bed and rubbed her eyes.

"Darn sun," she groaned, and she looked to her side. She saw Chibomon sleeping peacefully by her side. "Wake up buddy," she said and her blue baby partner opened his eyes and looked up at her.

"Morning," he yawned.

"Morning," Daisuke replied to her partner. She then got out of her bed and Chibomon jumped off the bed and onto the floor, and bounced after Daisuke who went into the living room of her apartment. She saw both of her parents sitting at the table.

"Morning you two, did you sleep well?" Daisuke's mother asked to them, sipping on her coffee.

"Yeah we did," Daisuke said sitting down at the table, and Chibomon sat on the table and bounced around.

"Chibomon," Daisuke's father told him sternly, and he stopped jumping around. Daisuke giggled at her partners antics.

"I hope you are ready Daisuke," her mother said.

"Ready for what?" Daisuke asked her curiously.

"Well, given all that has happened to you over the past few weeks, your father and I have decided to take you with us to New York for a vacation and to visit some family that we have over there," her mother told her, and Daisuke's eyes widened as did Chibomon's. They looked at each other in shock.

"Serious?" Daisuke asked her mother, and she got a nod. Daisuke smiled brightly at older woman. "Awesome," Daisuke said with a big smile on her face.

"Hey Dai, can I come too?" Chibomon asked his partner, and she looked down at him then back at her parents.

"I don't see why not," her father said with a shrug of his shoulders, and Chibomon smiled brightly.

"Yay, road trip," Chibomon exclaimed happily, and Daisuke and her parents chuckled at his enthusiasm.

"Alright, settle down buddy," Daisuke told her partner before she turned to her parents. "When do we leave anyways?" she asked them both.

"A few hours; we already bought the tickets, we just need to get there on time to catch the flight," her father told her, and she nodded her head at him. Daisuke then took her partner to her bedroom and went to pack for the trip, and soon both her and her parents, along with Chibomon, were on a plane heading directly to New York City. After several hours of nonstop flying they finally arrived at the airport in New York. Soon they all got in a car and drove off towards their apartment that they had rented for their stay in the country, and later Daisuke and Chibomon, who was in her backpack, started to explore that general area of New York City.

"So Dai, what's there to do in New York City?" Chibomon asked, muffled from inside the backpack.

"Well there are a load of sights that I've always wanted to see, but Mom and Dad said I had to be careful and stuff," Daisuke told her partner who moved around in her backpack a bit, making it shift and bulge at some points. "Stop moving, people are starting to stare at us," Daisuke said, and true to her word, a few people were starting to stare at her and her moving backpack.

"Sorry," Chibomon whispered through the backpack. Daisuke sighed and rolled her eyes when she saw a very peculiar thing. She saw a blonde boy with blue eyes wearing a red jacket and shorts that nearly reminded her of TK, and she frowned at the reminder, but it wasn't the boy that drew her curiosity. It was in fact the creature that was standing beside the boy, and Daisuke raised an eyebrow and kneeled down. She looked at the creature in the eyes, and took in its features. It had a horn on its head and two floppy ears like a dog, it was a little smaller than Veemon, and it was white with green stripes.

"Intriguing, never knew they had digimon here in America," Daisuke voiced as she noticed the blonde tense up, and he looked at Daisuke as did the creature that was a digimon.

"How'd you…" the boy trailed off when Daisuke spoke once again.

"Know it was a digimon? When you've been in the digital world as long as I have been, you tend to notice this stuff," she told the boy who looked at her as did the digimon. "Not to mention I actually recognize the species."

"Who are you?" the boy asked her.

"You first blondie," Daisuke retorted.

"I'm Willis, and the little guy is Terriermon," the blonde now known as Willis said, and the digimon now known as Terriermon jumped onto his shoulders.

"Hi," he chirped.

"I'm Daisuke," Daisuke introduced herself, before grabbing her backpack and unzipping it. Chibomon popped out. "And this little guy is Chibomon," She said.

"Hiya," he chirped at the duo, and they looked at him.

"A baby digimon, kinda pathetic, don't you think?" Terriermon asked.

"Terriermon," Willis said in a warning tone.

"Momentai," Terriermon replied, and Willis rolled his eyes. Daisuke laughed slightly.

"Actually, my partner is like this because he fought a big battle a few days ago," Daisuke sai,d and Chibomon puffed up with pride. Then chaos was let lose as Daisuke got this tingling sensation in the back of her neck, and Willis gasped as he saw wisps of wind appear. Street signs bent and a fire hydrant exploded, sending a shower of water over the place.

"Go back," a deep baritone voice said, and Willis took a step forward while Daisuke stood firm where she was.

"What do you mean?" Willis asked Terriermon, leaping in front of his partner.

"Go back," the voice said again, and a giant digimon appeared that looked like a cross between a dog and a dingo that was bipedal. It had a bandage on its left arm, and looked at Willis and Terriermon.

"A digimon," Daisuke gasped in shock as Chibomon jumped down in front of his partner defensively. "What are you doing?" she asked her partner who looked up at her.

"Well I think it's time we joined the fray don't you think," Chibomon asked his partner as Daisuke saw the digimon attack Terriermon who was bouncing around all over the place, avoiding the massive arms.

"Okay buddy, ready?" she asked him, and he gave a nod.

"Ready Dai," he replied as Daisuke nodded her head and removed her digivice from her pocket.

"Digivolve buddy," she said, and her digivice glowed a gentle blue and Chibomon glowed brightly.

"CHIBOMON, DIGIVOLVE TO, DEMI-VEEMON, DIGIVOLVE TO VEEMON!" In Chibomon's place there was a familiar blue dragon.

"Go get him," Daisuke said, and her dragon nodded before he ran towards the battle and jumped into the air.

"VEE-HEADBUTT!" he shouted, flying into the digmon's chest and sent it reeling back.

"You do realise we are in New York right? Not a lot of open places to fight," Willis said to Daisuke who facepalmed.

"You are worried about collateral?" she asked him, "We are getting attacked by a digimon, as long as it isn't people in the way, we've more pressing matters than collateral damage," she told Willis who chuckled sheepishly at her.

"CABLE CRUSHER!" The digimon said, and his arm shot out as if it were attached to a cable and knocked Veemon and Terriermon backwards.

"BUNNY BLAST!" Terriermon shouted, jumping into the air and he opened his mouth before he fire a ball of green energy that hit the digimon that was attacking them in the face, and he growled in pain and fell onto a bus stop.

"Go back," he said before vanishing in a swirl of wind.

"Okay, what the heck was all that about?" Veemon asked confused.

"Hey!" The two humans and digimon turned around where they saw two people that made Daisuke frown. Standing there behind a chain-link fence was TK and Kari, with their digimon partners by their side. Daisuke gulped slightly, a little worried.

"Great," she thought to herself, looking at them.

"Hey Daisuke!" Kari called, but Willis grabbed Terriermon and ran off.

"Stay away from me, you're in danger!" he shouted to them, turning the corner.

"Veemon come on!" Daisuke called to her dragon who nodded his head, and they ran off after Willis and Terriermon, leaving TK, Kari and their digimon alone.

"Did you see what I saw?" TK asked Kari who nodded her head. "What is going on, what is Daisuke doing here, and what did that kid mean we are in danger?" he asked her.

"All I know is he looks like he needs help," Kari said. "Even if Daisuke is helping him, it might not be enough." TK nodded his head, agreeing with her, before he turned to Patamon who was looking at him.

"Think you could find them?" he asked his partner who nodded his head.

"Leave it to me, I will find them," Patamon said, before he flew away after Willis and Daisuke who had stopped by a phone booth. Willis looked at Daisuke with a raised eyebrow.

"Why did you follow me?" he asked her, panting slightly.

"Let's just say those two you saw and I aren't on the greatest of terms right now," Daisuke told him, and Willis looked at her and Veemon who nodded his head.

"Okay, but why'd you follow me?" he asked her.

"I want to help you out, it's obvious that digimon is after you for some reason," she replied, and Willis looked at her.

"But why? Why would you want to help a guy you just met?" he asked her and she looked away.

"It's hard to explain, but I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt by this mystery Digimon," Daisuke said sadly and Willis looked at her.

"Terriermon, what do you think?" Willis asked his partner.

"I think we should let her help us, it's not every day a cute girl offers to help," Terriermon said, and Daisuke got a slight blush on her face.

"I don't think she is your type," Willis told his partner, who gasped and fell off his partners shoulder and hit the ground. Everyone laughed at this.

"So where do we go, he said 'go back' but to where?" Veemon asked the other three.

"I think I know where we have to go," Willis said.

"Where?" Daisuke asked him.

"Colorado," Willis told her.

It looked like it was time for them to take a trip. Daisuke just hoped her parents wouldn't completely freak out… who was she kidding, of course they were going to freak out!
