Chapter 21: Haha, I lied - ;D (Also, sorry about any potential tense mistakes. I'm more used to writing in the present tense.)

When Zane groggily opened his eyes, he was quickly relieved that he was still on the Bounty. Not wasting any time, he rushed to the front deck, where Pythor was earlier, and looked for his brothers. Nothing. They were taken. However, when he went to the bridge, he found Sensei, Nya, and Dr. Julien.

"Zane!" Dr. J exclaimed, running over to hug him.

"Father?" Zane said, shocked, "But my memories said you passed!"

"I was revived by Samukai, but we don't have time for a story right now, we need to rescue your friends!" the inventor explained urgently.

"Your father is right," Nya nodded, "Pythor managed to knock everybody out with the purple gas, but he only took Jay, Kai, Alex, and Cole. Luckily, Jay left his tracker here so we should be able to find them." Nya then pulled out the helpful metal device, handing it to Zane. He looked at the display, quickly finding the red, black, and blue dots.

"He took them to what seems to be an abandoned aquarium in Ninjago City," Zane noted, "Nya, set course." The girl nodded before directing the bounty towards the location on the tracker. During the short ride, there wasn't too much conversation. Concern for the captured ninja hung in the air, making the entire trip tense and uncomfortable. Finally, the giant flying ship came to a stop, dropping the anchor to the ground. Zane grabbed his shurikens off his back and pulled down his hood. He was quick to leap off the ship, turning his golden weapon into an ice motorcycle midair. As soon as he landed, he transformed his vehicle back into a weapon and stared at the grey building before him with determination in his eyes.

The ice ninja approached the door of the abandoned aquarium, pushing it experimentally. He was surprised to see it swing open freely. Zane frowned deeply. If the door wasn't locked, it's clear this is a trap to capture him, using the other ninja as bait. Normally, he would turn back and think of another way, but with his friends' lives potentially at stake, he was willing to push away the sensible part of his processor and go inside. Using the ninja skills he had almost completely mastered, the Nindroid slipped into the dark building. As soon as the door swung shut, he was surrounded in complete and utter darkness. Despite his desire to remain stealthily hidden, Zane turned on his head light, allowing his head to fill the building with a dim light.

At first, all he saw were a large variety of aquarium tanks filled with murky water. He walked a few steps forward, illuminating the other side of the room.

"How very convenient that light is!" a voice suddenly said, making Zane jump, "I'll be sure to make use of it when you become my weapon."

Light then exploded through the area, momentarily overloading Zane's visual servers. When he cleared his vision, he saw Pythor standing next to a cage that held Alex, Kai, Cole, and Jay.

"Zane!" exclaimed Kai.

"You came!" said Cole with relief. Just then, Pythor whirled around, trying to trip Zane with his feet. The Nindroid dodged it by jumping up and threw a shuriken at the large snake. Pythor yelped as the weapon hit him, before trying a punch. Zane jumped out of the way and landed on his enemy's purple tail, sending him into a world of hurt. Pythor slithered backwards, looking cautiously at the determined ice ninja.

"Oh well," he said quickly, "It's too bad. You would have made a great addition to the Serpentine." He then made a break for the door, pulling a lever on his way.

"Toodaloo!" he called before fleeing, locking the door behind him. Zane ignored all this, focused on saving his brothers. However, as he started to hit the lock with his shuriken, he felt something wet at his feet. Looking around, he saw the tanks were now open and water was rushing into the building!

"Hurry!" Alex urged.

"WE'RE GONNA DROWN!" Jay screamed. With the cage's lock not breaking, the exit door locked, and the water level rising at a ridiculous pace, Jay might have been right.

EDIT: Okay, y'all. I think it's about time I mark this story as pretty much abandoned. I just don't watch Ninjago anymore and this whole plot is kinda a mess. Sorry. :(
