Welcome to Minecraft You'll Never Leave...

Woo! I'm back! And it took way longer than the last two chapters.

Although in all fairness chapter 19 was pre-written...

THAT DOESN'T COUNT!

I really need to stop abusing caps lock..

OR SHOULD I?

That is the question.

Screw to be or not to be or not to be, you should just enjoy the story!

Chapter 20

This whole situation I'm in...

Just became ten times worse.

"We're in Portal!" I said, looking around.

We're in Portal... There's no doubt about it!

"What do you mean?!" Mitch was panicking...

And it wasn't helping.

"Look... I've played this game before. We can make it out of here alive!"

"Wait... How do we get out?!"

"I don't know... My guess would be to complete the game. That might over-ride something."

Hopefully.

"Wait, you're not completely sure are you?"

"No, but how can I be when we're in Portal?!" Mitch nodded.

"I guess you're right. So what do we do?"

"We do what the game tells us to do." An automated voice started spewing out instructions. I followed them, but it took Mitch a while to follow my example.

"C'mon! We're not going to get out of here if you decide to be difficult!" He looked at the painting with me.

"Good, now you have formed an emotional bond."

The voice told us to go to sleep.

"But there's only one bed."

"Relax. Merrome will still exist."

"I'd rather not take that chance." He laid down on the floor.

"Suit yourself." I smiled as I pulled the covers up to my chin.

Guess I'll have to have the covers all to myself. I don't mind a bit.

"You have been asleep for nine-nine-nine-nine-nine-nine-nine-nine." I opened my eyes to hear a knocking on the door.

"Mitch wake up!" I nudged him with my foot, causing him to roll over.

"Five more minutes!"

"We don't have five minutes!"

"Of course we do, and what are you doing in my-" He looked up. "Oh... Right." He stood up instantly. "We're in a game." I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, as I walked towards the door to open it.

Wheatly started his dialogue as Mitch watched in wonder.

How hasn't he played this game?!

"Hang on!" The room started moving. I grabbed the dresser, determined to stay standing. Mitch was looking around frantically.

"Just grab a door or something!" I called out, trying to keep a firm grip on my anchor. Mitch hugged both knobs on the door, and tried to keep it from swaying.

Probably shouldn't have told him to grab onto the door. Oh well, he's most likely not going to let go, even when we stop.

The room jerked around wildly for a few minutes until Wheatly started banging it into another building. Mitch was practically turning into a ghost by then.

"Why aren't you scared?!" He called over.

"I've played this game before!" I called back. "I know what's going to happen."

"Could you tell me?"

"We have to find a portal gun after this!"

"A portal gun... Oh, now I why this game is called Portal!"

Took you long enough!

"Yeah," was my real response. No sense making Mitch mad on top of everything else. "But one thing that's bothering me is this, where's Alesa?" Mitch was silent.

"I don't know."

"Do you think she was sent somewhere else?" I asked.

"I hope so." Mitch replied, his face even paler.

Me too...

Wheatly broke the wall down, and I jumped forward.

"What are you doing?" Mitch said, still holding onto the door knobs.

"I'm progressing through the game!"

"But... Whatever." He let go, and started following me.

Yeah, I know what I'm doing!

"Let's just keep going. This game is pretty long, and I don't want to spend too much time here." Mitch nodded, as I jumped down.

"What are you doing?!"

"There isn't any fall damage in this game!" I said, showing him that I wasn't harmed in any way. Finally, Mitch jumped down, and we both were in a flooded area where I knew the portal gun was.

"Follow me!" I waded through the murky water.

"Can I stay here?"

"No." I didn't look back. There was a splashing sound behind me, causing a smile to creep up onto my face.

Sometimes it just requires a little tough-love.

When I came up to the Portal gun, I was shocked to see two.

There isn't a story mode in multiplayer...

"Ah, these are the guns we need right?" Mitch grabbed one, but I just stared at the other.

"There aren't supposed to be two..."

"Really?" His brow creased as he examined his. "This'll work right?"

"On portal surfaces."

"Portal what?"

"Portal surfaces, they're sort of white in color."

"White?"

"Yeah, we can't really use them now since we only have one color." Although I was hoping that the portal guns would have the same mechanic as multiplayer mode, but I guess since this is story mode, and it's designed to be played by a single person, it makes sense that we can only fire orange portals."

Oh well. It doesn't take too long to get a fully functional portal gun.

"How long is this game?"

"When I played it took about six hours."

"..."

"Don't worry, it really depends on how long it takes you to complete the puzzles."

"We're going to be here for a while."

"Yep."

"It's going to suck."

"No, I love this game."

"You're the only one."

We'll see about that Mr. Bajan Canadian...

Ha! Bet you never saw that coming!

I loves me some plot-twists!

*Sees all the stares*

What? Writing shouldn't be predictable!

That's when you get Mary Sue stories...

Nobody likes a Mary Sue -.-

Anyway, the only explanation for not updating in so long is that I have no explanation.

I was kinda writing a bunch of Phoenix Wright stuff (It's my new obsession. That and painting... Don't ask. I don't even know.).

But good news is, I'm going to upload pretty much all of what I'm writing (Some are still being evaluated.).

So, go away, and read some stories where the authors update at a more frequent pace!

You'll be a lot happier.

Trust me.
