Hello! :D
I'm from Brazil and so is my mother. My mother wrote a book and I am translating it to English. I put two chapters here in a fic with the same name as the book: Morganwish-Walker. You can find these first chapters, that are like a first look, in my user here. If you could check it out and share your thoughts I would truly appreciate. Thank You.
I would like to thank 'hoshimiokamihime' for the review! Thank you so much! :)
I should let you guys know that when something is in Italic it means that it is a thought and for anyone that might not know, POV means Point of View.
The names here are not like in Japan, the last name (also known as surname or family name) goes last.
I am expecting at least one review before I post the next chapter! And with at least one review I should be updating the fic at least once a week! ;)
English is not my first language so I apologize for the mistakes!
I do not own The Prince of Tennis! :(
I truly hope you all enjoy! *.*
Ryoma Echizen POV
Friday morning was the beginning of the final part of the boys ranking matches. My morning match wasn't against a regular and I easily won 6-0.
"Ah! I am so upset I am going to miss you playing against Inui-sempai! I heard he uses data tennis…" Kitti complains while she, Horio and I walk to class.
"What is data tennis?" Horio asks looking dreamy at her again.
It is quite annoying the fact that he is always looking to her like that.
"Well… You will see later, and it is something quite interesting if done properly! I know this boy that uses data tennis... I don't like playing against him very much…" She says.
"You know so much about tennis! Just like me! I have two years of experience!" Horio says proudly and Kitti just smiles at him and then turns to me.
"I want to see your match against Inui-sempai so I asked someone to film it for me so I can watch tomorrow before coming to school… Do you mind?" She says smiling and I shrug.
"You will miss it because of the Ball? You could have asked me… I could have filmed for you…" Horio says to her, making me roll my eyes.
"Yes… I have to get ready for the Ball and an event like this takes time preparing for…" She says ignoring the rest he said.
"I am sure you will look perfect! As always…" He says and I feel like hitting him with a tennis ball or maybe a racket.
"Thanks…" She says awkwardly.
"Hello, Ryoma-sama!" Osakada says walking towards us with Ryuzaki.
"Hello, Ryoma-kun… Horio-kun…" Ryuzaki says blushing.
I greet them with a nod.
"Who are you and why are you always close to Ryoma-sama?!" Osakada says angry to Kitti. "You are not even part of his fan club! You have no right to talk to him!"
"Tomo-chan… don't do this…" Ryuzaki says.
"Who are you to say who should or shouldn't talk or walk with him?" Kitti asks annoyed which makes me smirk because apparently Osakada annoys her just as much Horio annoys me.
"I am the president of his fan club!" Osakada says properly.
"You are annoying." Kitti says making Horio laugh.
"What are you laughing at, baka?!" Osakada says to Horio making him shut up, then turns back to Kitti. "You are not allowed to talk to Ryoma-sama! I don't like you and even if you ask to get into his fan club I won't let you!"
"We should go to class, Kitti… We are going to be late." I say deciding that it's time to end this.
Kitti that was about to say something turns to me and smiles while nodding in agreement.
"Ok! Let's go, Ryo-chan!" She says grabbing my hand which is something that doesn't go unnoticed by Osakada that seems to be about to say something rude again when I interrupt her.
"I appreciate the support, Osakada." I say and she smiles because it's the first time I talk to her. "But I choose my friends. Being my fan doesn't give you any right over my life and those who are part of it."
I then walk away with Kitti leaving them awkwardly surprised.
"Thanks Ryo-chan!" She says smiling.
"I was just saying the truth… She doesn't have the right to dictate anything about my life." I say shrugging.
Classes went on and Kitti seemed happy that I defended her although I don't see how I could have not done it. During the breaks between classes the students were all over Kitti, asking about the Ball.
"This magazine I was reading said that the heir of the Chiba family has a crush on you and I saw on a picture that he is really cute! It said in the magazine that he was going to ask you out on a date in the ball and even ask you to dance!" One of the girls in our class says and the others giggled.
"I don't think he will… and besides, you shouldn't believe what you read in magazines… it is hardly ever true…" Kitti says while writing and not seeming to be paying attention to them. "The Sensei is here… You should return to your seats…"
"You look annoyed." I say serious.
"I don't like Chiba… He is probably going to corner me in the Ball to ask me out… He does it every time he sees me! Every girl says he is dreaming but to me he is annoying!" She says frustrated.
"Why does he insist if you keep saying no?" I ask serious.
"His family wants more power and so does that superficial brat! So he is always trying to get to me, and his parents have been trying for years to get my parents to agree to an arranged marriage!"
"What?" I say angry.
"Exactly! Like my parents would ever do such things when they believe in love and want me to have it! He is just really annoying! Lucky for me, my brothers will be there so he will have to keep his distance if he wants to live…" She says.
"Good." It's all I say.
When lunch time begins she does her best to leave the class as fast as she can, leaving me behind but when I arrive on the roof she is waiting for me with a smile.
"What do we have today?" She asks smiling and I show her my bento. "Yay! I love your cousin's Inarizushi!"
"How did you know that my cousin made these and not my mom?" I ask surprised.
"Your Mom puts little faces on them and your cousin doesn't!" She says simply. "And this is what I have!"
"Great! Today we have Yaki Onigiri and also Tempura again!" I happily say while looking at her bento.
"This thing about us sharing our Bento is really nice! We always have good things and you can help me with mine since I don't eat this much and you eat a lot!" She says smiling.
"Those that eat more are healthier than those who don't." I say smirking and she rolls her eyes.
Lunch came to an end fast and so did classes. And soon I was walking towards the locker room with only Horio at my side.
My first match in the afternoon practice was supposed to be against Inui. When I get to the court there are six cameramen with professional cameras, like the ones used for high class movies, all with headsets and around the court covering things from all angles.
"I can see why she didn't ask me to film… A-chan did go all out to film your match!" Horio says shocked.
"Ah! A-chan is the one that asked for the cameras?" Momoshiro asks coming towards us with Kato and Mizuno.
"Yeah! She can't be here to watch but wanted to make sure she still saw the match!" Horio says.
"Isn't a bit much though?" Momoshiro asks. "Is it even allowed?"
"Her family donated a lot of money to the school once she decided to come here and all the new equipment we have was bought with their money, which in the end means that whatever she wants she can have it without even asking for permission because no one wants to irritate an Atobe, at least that was what the headmaster said. But she doesn't seem to think she can do whatever she wants because she asked my permission earlier today and even made sure to point out why it would be good for her to watch a match of her fellow teammates." Ryuzaki coach says to us seeming happy with Kitti for asking for permission and explaining why she wanted said permission. "She said she wanted to see how Echizen played against Inui and how good was Inui's data tennis in comparison to a friend of hers."
"She said that?" Inui asks while walking towards us and the coach nods. "I see…" He says making notes on his green notebook.
The match begins and I become quite annoyed with Inui's style of playing. After I return the first ball and he scores after returning it from the exact place I sent it, I understand what Kitti meant by data tennis. He collects data and uses it to read the patterns and try to predict the next move by playing in a pre-established play.
Not surprisingly enough, I win the match although I have to admit that I don't like playing against Inui at all. After my match is over the cameras leave and I guess Kitti was only interested on seeing me play against a strong opponent. I play my other matches and secure my spot as regular. When I finish my last match an older man in a suit comes towards me.
"Echizen-sama." He says greeting me. "Ojou-sama asked me to bring these things for you."
He hands me an envelope and a Grape Ponta that is still cold.
"Arigato." I say and he nods before leaving.
I open my Ponta and the envelope. In the envelope there is a small note.
Congratulations on becoming a Regular!
I knew you could do it!
Enjoy your victory Ponta!
See you tomorrow,
K.
I am leaving school with Horio, Kato and Mizuno when Ryuzaki shows up and stutters, and before she has the chance to say what she wants Osakada shows up jumping happily and congratulates me on making as a regular. I leave and they follow me, going on and on about going to celebrate but I just go home because today I decided to do something.
"Hello!" Nanako says to me.
"Can you go out with me now so we can buy a gift…" I ask blushing but with confidence.
"Sure thing! Go grab your money and I will get my purse!" She says smiling.
We go out and she shows me a shop that according to her has really cute but not too expensive things, not that I care about expensive right now because I had some money saved up and I decided to use it now.
"How about a brooch?" Nanako asks. "Girls love those and guys usually give them to show their feelings! The girl can use with almost anything!"
I nod and we go see the brooches. There is a little tennis racket that Kitti might like and also one of a little kitten.
"Don't go with the obvious… Try something that is more private, something most don't know…" Nanako gives me the tip and I look at the others better when I finally see the one.
A silver Four Leaf Clover brooch.
"It's really pretty… May I ask why this one?" Nanako says smiling.
"She said she didn't have much luck until she was four… Her brothers used to joke that they would have to try and buy her pure luck. She said that this one time she found a Four Leaf Clover and just ate it and since then she had lots of good luck." I tell her the story as if asking for approval.
"This is the perfect brooch. It is something well thought and personal. She will love it!" Nanako says and we go buy it.
I hope she likes and accepts it… I think looking at it.
