***Chapter 21****

Kagome started listing off the things in her mind that she would have to get for Shippo and herself as she led both Apachai and Shippo into the store and smiled at the clerk as they walked in and headed toward the supplies. She knew that the school would provide all the serious stuff that both she and Shippo would need but, the both still needed pencils, notebooks, a backpack for him, a bag for her. Looking at Shippo she noticed he was torn between two backpacks a little green one and a blue one, looking at Apachai she noticed he was just looking around and staying close to her. Leaning down she looked at Shippo and smiled.

"Okay sweetie which bag do you want hm?" she asked and had to keep from chuckling while watching him looking really seriously at the bags like they held the key to ultimate power or something. Knowing that it was going to be hard and wanting to help him picked both bags up and looked them over.

Giving him a smile, "Well let's see how they feel." She said while holding one out to him and letting him put it on his back then switching it with the other. After seeing how they both felt she could still see that he was having a problem she did blink when he turned to Apachai though.

"Apachai I don't know which one to get! Which one would you get?" he asked while tugging on Apachai's pants to get his attention.

Apa had been looking around the store but all his attention was focused on Kagome and Shippo he couldn't help but enjoy watching them. Kagome was a great mother instead of just picking out the bag she was trying to help Shippo decide for himself on which one he wanted and instead of getting frustrated with the boy like he had seen some women do, Kagome just kept on smiling and waiting for him to pick. He did she her eyes widen just a little bit when Shippo come over and asked him which one he would have gotten for himself. Really looking at the bags he would have to say he liked the blue, it didn't hold a candle to her eyes but the color remembered him of her eyes.

Looking down and smiling at Shippo, "Apa, Apa would take the blue one Apa." He said while still smiling but he looked up and looked at Kagome before looking back down at Shippo.

"Okay I was really thinking of getting the blue one because even though it's not close to mama's eyes it's still blue and even if she can't stay with me I can look at it and think of her eyes." Shippo said while looking up at the older man and smiling before turning and going back to his mother and smiling up at her.

Kagome smiled and put back the little green bag and leaned down and picked her son up and kissed him and hugged him, he seemed to know what to say to make her feel loved by her little fox kit. After helping him pick out everything that he would need she started looking for things she would need. She found everything she would need and since her son decided to get a bag to think of her she got a green bag and got a little fox charm for her bag. When Shippo saw the charm he grinned and tightened his hug on her and nuzzled into her neck loving his mama.

Apa watched as he helped carry some of the things that Shippo and Kagome had picked out and he remembered yesterday when she said that Shippo was her little fox kit and smiled when he saw the charm she had gotten for her bag. After they had gotten everything and purchased everything they had gotten they walked out. Looking up her noticed that it was about time for lunch and put his arm around Kagome as she carried Shippo.

"Apa, Apa it about lunch time what you wanna eat? Apa!" he asked as he kept his arm around her and smiled at her before leaning down and kissing the top of her head.

Kagome smiled as she leaned into Apachai as they walked and loved the feeling that she felt when he wrapped his arm around her and kissed her. Looking up at him and smiling she looked at Shippo who was still in her arms and looking around.

"Well Shippo is there anything that you would like to eat?" she asked while looking around trying to see if anything interesting that she would want to eat.

"How about that restaurant at the end mama? It looks nice." Shippo said while pointing and then looking up at her and Apachai waiting to see what they would say.

Kagome looked to where Shippo was pointing and noticed a little family style restaurant at the end it looked fine to her. Looking up at Apachai to see what he thought he seemed to look at it then looked down and smiled and nodded his head while reaching over and picking Shippo out of her arms and putting him on his shoulder and rubbing Shippo's head while he laughed and pushed at Apachai's hand. Once he was done he wrapped his arm back around her and started walking toward the restaurant.

Once they got to the restaurant and they were seated Kagome couldn't help but notice that they wasn't all that many people in here but she didn't understand why it was lunch time and this seemed like a nice place. After the waitress took their orders and left to get them Kagome couldn't help but think something was going to happen but she just didn't know when and what it was going to be. She was brought out of her thoughts when she felt another hand take hers looking over she smiled at Apachai as she started rubbing her thumb against his hand.

Apachai couldn't help but notice that the place was almost empty and he kept getting this feeling that something was about to happen. He didn't really like the thought of something happening and Kagome and Shippo being here they could get hurt then he would have to hurt someone, there was no way anyone was going to hurt them while he was here but if something did happen well he hoped the person didn't mind never eating solid foods again. He looked over and saw Shippo coloring on the paper that the waitress had given him looking at Kagome he could tell she was watching for something. She was probably thinking that something was going to happen like he, wanted to take her mind off of it he reached over and took a hold over her hand. He could she was a little bit surprised but that was because she was trying to figure out what was going on, he couldn't help but smile when she looked up at him and started to smile and rub her thumb against his hand.

Kagome couldn't help but keep thinking that something was going to happen even when the waitress brought them their food, she had to admit the food was delicious so what was the reason people seemed to not want to come in here? She couldn't help but ask herself.

"Mama I have to go to the bathroom." Shippo said as he looked up at her a fidgeted in his seat, giving him a smile she was about to get up when Apachai stopped her.

"Apa, Apa will take him enjoy food. Apa." He told her as he smiled and kissed her head before picking Shippo up out of his chair and putting him on his shoulder and walking toward the restroom.

Kagome couldn't help but chuckle watching them walk away with Apachai around she didn't think her kit was ever going to walk Apachai seemed to really enjoy having Shippo sitting on his shoulder, but she couldn't really say anything she loved carrying her kit in her arms. Turning back to her food she almost missed when a group of three guys came in and headed toward the waitress that wasn't far from her.

"Where is the owner at bitch? Its pay day and the boss wants his money." One of the guys yelled at the poor woman. Kagome now understood why this place was almost empty people were afraid of these guys. She heard a noise and noticed a older man walking toward them from the kitchen.

"What do you want today isn't the day I have till Friday to pay." The old man said while standing between the men and the waitress trying to protect her from them.

"Well change of plans the boss wants the money today." The same one said.

"B….but I don't have the money yet." The old man said strutting.

"That's fine the boss said we could trash the place if you don't got the money." He said while smiling and looking back at his friends who were all smiling. One of the guys raised his hand as if he was going to punch the old man, that's when Kagome knew she had heard enough.

"Excuse me but I think it would be within your own health to leave without touching anything or anyone on your way out." She said as she came to stand beside her table and giving them a small smile.

They all turned and looked at her she could see fear in the waitress and the older man's face for them and for her, but she focused on the three men she could tell by the looks on their faces they had lust in their eyes and figured she would be a easy target.

"Well, well lookie here boys we have some bitch trying to act big and brave." The leader of the three said as he came closer to her trying to imitate her with his size but she had dealt with demons that made him look like an ant. The ones behind him started laughing and getting ready to follow his lead if he tried anything on her, she could tell things happened like this almost everywhere in the past and the present.

"What you think you're going to do bitch other than pleasure me and my friends till we get bored with you." The leader asked while reaching out as if to touch her, the others smiling and readjusting themselves.

Kagome kept a stony expression on her face but the moment the leader reached for her she moved quickly.

SNAP!

"AHH!" the leader screamed as he grabbed his arm at the shoulder, "You bitch what did you do to me!?" he yelled as he still screamed in pain. Judging from the other two and the old man and waitress they hadn't even seen her move.

Still standing in the same place and with a blank look on her face, "I broke your shoulder you didn't have permission to touch me and no right to come in here and threaten these people." She said talking like it was an everyday thing to break someone's shoulder.

"You bitch!" he yelled at her before looking back at the others, "Don't just stand there teach this bitch a lesson." He yelled at them, getting yelled at shocked them back to the present and they jumped forward one with just his fists the other pulled a knife out of his pocket.

Giving a sigh Kagome moved her head to the side to avoid the punch and made a few quick japes to his ribs, she knew she broke one and cracked a few and when he leaned down did an uppercut and sent him back onto his back. The next tried to slash at her with the knife leaning back she grabbed his she quickly hit pressure points and made his arm go limp, using her leg she kicked his legs out from under him and hit him with both fists in the chest and diaphragm she knew she broke five of his ribs and when he hit the wall he would have a concussion from the way he hit. Once done she looked at the leader still beside her table never once moving from her place, she saw him shaking with his eyes so wide she thought they were going to pop out.

"Six ribs broken all together, a few cracked ribs, a concussion, plus your shoulder being broken all will hear if treated properly, and since you are the only one that can walk without assistants and I have a feeling your boss is outside. Why don't you go get him and have him come in here for a nice chat if you don't mind that is." She said while smiling at the leader she watched as he stumbled hurriedly out of the room and out the door.

"Mama!" Shippo yelled as he come running after the guy had left, picking him up and giving him a hug like nothing had happened she looked up and noticed that Apachai looked shocked.

"Apachai is something wrong?" she asked walking toward him and laying a hand on his chest.

Apa knew that Kagome could fight after yesterday when she blocked and hit him but after seeing her fighting the three guys he didn't know if even he could fight her. He had been in the bathroom with Shippo when he heard the yell coming out quickly and hearing her say she broke the man's shoulder then the others. He had to admit he had almost not even seen her move but he also had to admit watching her had been hot. Yes, he knew she could fight and was strong but now that he knew how well she could handle herself he didn't have to worry about hurting her if he got carried away. After watching her he couldn't help but think about was wondering how rough he could get with her. He was already thinking about pushing her up against a wall face first and pulling her pants down low enough to where he could touch and have her screaming a begging him for more. He also couldn't help but want to fight her himself it was hard to find others beside members of Ryouzanpaku that he could fight without risk of really hurting them.

When she touched his chest and he looked at her face even after the fight instead of worrying about herself she was worried about him thinking something was wrong with him. When he saw the worry in her eyes he couldn't stop himself from raising his hand and grabbing the back of her head and pulling her close and smashing his lips to hers. At first he thought she was going to pull away but instead she started kissing him back with just as much force and reaching up with one hand and thrusting her hand into his hair.

They both were so into the kiss and each other they didn't even hear Shippo start laughing and almost didn't even hear someone yelling.

"What the hell happened to my men and who is the bitch that my guy just told me beat the shit out him and the other two?" a big man said coming in from the door.
