Previously on Rocky and Gunther?...
Because I was with him.
Rocky's POV
The walk home was calm and silent. Gunther and I walked side by side our hands brushing against each other's occasionally.
"I just wanted to thank you." I said as we got inside of the apartment complex about to go our separate ways.
"For what?" Gunther asked slightly confused at the fact that this what I broke our extended period of silence with.
"For always being there when I need you to be, I don't even have to ask. You really are so amazing to me." Leaning over and placing a quick kiss to his cheek. "See you later."
"See you later." He agreed, and we were off in our different directions.
Entering my home seeing Ty and CeCe in the livingroom obviously waiting on me, because their heads both snapped to the door as soon as I opened it. "Hey." I greeted hesitantly honestly no knowing what I was going to get from them.
"Where'd you go? I was worried." CeCe demanded standing up glancing at Ty. "We were worried." She corrected.
"I was just out with Gunther." I simply responded closing the door, locking it behind me.
"Yeah, about him, how could you do that Rock?" Ty stated giving me a stern look.
"Again." CeCe reminded making me sigh as I slammed myself into a seat on the couch.
"I don't know, I genuinely don't." I told them. "I really don't try to hurt anyone but I always do. What's wrong with me?"
"Nothing's wrong with you." CeCe insisted as she took a seat next to me. "Maybe in some weird way this was you getting a little taste of the other side. Y'know the side that breaks rules and just goes wild. I'm the leader." Bumping her shoulder with hers trying to lighten the mood.
"Well can you revoke my membership card because this is not the life I wanna live."
"That's not how it works." She smiled to me.
Ty just taking a seat on the other side of me. "Sorry for prying like that. We were just curious. I didn't expect that to be the case."
"I don't think anybody did." I responded before looking to Ty. "But it's okay, if I didn't lie to you. There would be nothing to pry about."
"Yeah, so it's basically all your fault." CeCe stated making both of us look to her caught off guard.
"CeCe!" We exclaimed.
"What? I'm just stating the obvious."
"Yeah, yeah." Ty getting up from his seat. "I'm gonna go do my homework or something." Walking away to his room leaving CeCe and I alone.
"I actually have some things to do for class." I told her standing up. "So we'll talk tomorrow?"
"Yeah, of course." She agreed standing with me. "But before I go can you promise me something?"
"Yeah, anything."
"No more secrets. From any of us."
"Okay." I nodded. "And the same thing goes for you."
"White lies not included." She quickly spoke making me let out a laugh.
"Deal."
The two of us hugging it out before she made her exit through the fire escape to go down to her apartment. Leading me to retreat to my bedroom and sit on my best contemplating my next move. Pulling my phone out and hesitating to send a text Malik's way. Forcing myself to type all that I wanted to on the screen.
'I just wanted to apologize for what I did. I honestly never meant to hurt anyone, especially you. You're such a great guy and an even better boyfriend and I'm sorry I didn't appreciate that as much as I should have. I hope somehow you can forgive me and we can move forward as friends.'
Reading it over and over again before pressing the end button and waiting for anything to pop up on the screen. Setting my phone to the side not wanting to stress over it. He had every right to be mad and upset with me. I didn't even deserve to get a text back.
Looking to my phone in surprise when my phone buzzed. Quickly picking it up and seeing it was from Malik hesitating to read it but too curious not to.
'It's okay, I forgive you. You're a great person and everyone makes mistakes. I'm down to be cool if you are.'
Letting out a relieved sigh holding my phone to my chest and closing my eyes feeling in some way that everything was actually going to be okay.
