Happy Belated Holidays!
First and foremost, I would like to apologize for taking so long. It's been so hard trying to come up with an ending, and I'm sorry to have kept you guys hanging so long. Thanks again to all the encouraging comments that you guys who wanted this story to be continued gave. You guys have given me the strength to finish this story I started, and I thank you for that. I dedicate this final chapter to you. You are Awesome! (And you guys can skip this next paragraph; it's just something that I need to get off my chest)
To all the mean people who wrote disparaging comments throughout the story, thanks for the review count I guess. A lot of you kinda made my journey to finish more difficult because you degraded my writing without actually telling me how to get better, which in turn made me more insecure about my story, which I was already insecure about. But whatever. So here is my advice to you, next time don't read or comment. Fanfiction would be way easier if you mean guys stopped being so vicious and actually started critiquing, if you don't know what it means LOOK IT UP—they even have templates if you need to follow them— instead of just trying to tear people down. No author wants to read a review and have the first words be "It is suck" or have someone say they read your story just for kicks. That shit's for the birds and you can just IDK, NOT REVIEW if you can't say it in a nice way. OR YOU CAN DO SOMEONE A FAVOR AND JUST NOT READ IT.
I didn't really proofread so let me know if the errors are too much to bear. Onward, to the Finale (It's not perfect, but I felt that you guys deserved this update.)

Chapter 21: Love Conquers
New Years Eve
Hinata allows the girls to stay up all night to enjoy the countdown on television. It's exciting—bring in the New Year—but it's not nearly as exciting as what happened the day before.
Flashback (Day before New Years Eve)
With Hinata
Christmas, things went quite smoothly after that. As a proper family, everything practically fell into place, like the pieces of a puzzle that was finally being put together correctly. And Hinata found that she loved it. She loved hearing her daughters call Gaara daddy. It felt right, and she found herself hating her decision to keep them from each other so long.
And she wanted to make it known. So she brought him to her—their—bedroom, made him sit down on the bed. And she squatted down, facing him.
"Gaara, I know that you get the blame for all of this. For me ru-runing away…For how long it took us to get here, but I want you to know that I am so sorry that I didn't tell you about them from the beginning. I know it was wrong, and while I can't say my decisions had complete and utter negative consequences, keeping you from them wasn't—isn't fair." She wasn't stupid, she understood that what she did was wrong.
With a New Year approaching, Hinata finally decided to let go of the past. She and Gaara had hurt each other enough. She'd been giving it thought and she decided that it was time. In withholding the truth, she was holding onto the past. And she wanted nothing more than to forward. It was best for not only her, but especially her little girls, who were her—and now Gaara's— entire world.
"What you promised me on Christmas… it was perfect. And I can't help but feel that that the longer I keep this up, the more I practically spit on that promise. And I want you to know that when I took your r-ring, I took the same vow to make you and the girls happy." She could feel tears welling up in her eyes. It was said that the truth could set you free, but knowing that she was finally going to do this made her ecstatic-
"Gaara I-I'm ready to te-tell them," she stuttered.
She didn't want her past loom over their heads and deny them of their father any longer.
At first, he just stares at her. His sea foam eyes are dazed and unfocused, and she panics until he flings himself at her. His arms are wrapped around her tightly and he's sniffling in her neck. She just holds him tight, burying her head in the crook of his neck. Pretty soon, she's crying too.
"I'm sorry," she whispers against his neck.
"It's okay, babe."
.
.
.
Later when the two lovebirds get themselves together, they decided that it's best that Hinata find the girls and sit them down to tell them the truth.
"M-mommy did something bad."
"Nuh-uh, "Haveah began.
"Mommy is the" Havana continued.
"Bestest" they twins finished in tandem, something that would've been creepy had her daughters not had the cutest faces in the world.
"No, she's not. Mommy m-made a mistake and she hopes that you will forgive her. M-mommy kept you from your daddy."
"D-daddy?"
"We-we hav-have a da-daddy?" Haveah shouldn't have ever needed to have asked tat question, and Hinata feels so terrible.
"Y-yeah." Hinata took a breath. "Ga-Gaara's your daddy."
As soon as the information flittered through the atmosphere, the twin girls jumped up and ran through the house screaming "DADDY!"

"HAPPY NEW YEARS DADDY!"
Two loud screams reverberate around the room. Havana and Haveah are standing beside Gaara, who'd bent down beside them. The girls' words resonate in the room, which has many heads turning their way.
And Hinata just smiles and wraps her arms around her own father along with Hanabi. Her family from Kingakure are there along with the Sabakus.
…
With Gaara
As time passed, his little girls became the center of his universe. And after Hinata told them that he was their father, he felt like he was complete. Every day he got to fall more in love with the most beautiful girl in the world as they raised two of most beautiful children in the world. In short, he was whipped.
Valentine's Day
Gaara had doted on the girls and their mother. And after putting the children to bed, and leaving them with their grandfather, he and Hinata ventured to the movies…which was where they are now, making out like there was no tomorrow.
And all he wanted to do was take her home and make for all the time she was gone. He pulled away to whisper those words in her ear only for her to push him away and practically run out of the room. He quickly followed, her until he couldn't anymore. She'd run into the bathroom. And he decided to wait until she decided to not be a coward and talk about what was going through her mind instead of running away from him.
"Babe, you gonna tell me what that was about?" he asked when she finally came out of the bathroom about five minutes later. Her face was red, and he had no doubt that she had splashed it with cold water.
"We can't Gaara. W-we just got back together, and I don't want us to rush this. It happened the first time…we rushed and I w-wouldn't take it back for anything because that's how we got the girls, but we still aren't ready for th-that"
He couldn't help but smile as the words "have sex" didn't grace her response.
"You seemed ready in there, babe."
"I kn-know, but I don't want to until I'm married—we're married."
"That's for virgins."
"Gaara, I get that you have needs—
He cuts her off with a "You act as if you don't."
She rolled her eyes, but continued nonetheless. "But this is something that I need to do for me… this was my plan before" ( his thoughts: I talked he into having sex with me the first time) "and I want to stay celibate until I get married. It'll be like I'm fulfilling a promise to myself."
Her argument was sound, and his only counter was. "Marry me."
"What?"
"Marry me tomorrow. You already have a ring."
"No-no, I'm not marrying you." she said the words with so much conviction that he felt his heart plummet. "yet," she smiled and kissed his cheek.
"A few years then?" he tried again.
She nods. And he decided that he and cold showers would become best friend, but he accepts it because, he loves her. And he knows one day she will be his wife.
April
With Hinata
A few months later, though, she was singing a different tune.
She had decided to go and find the girls a birthday present alone. She'd left them with Gaara, wh decided they would have a lazy father-daughters' day.
Hinata was left to herself to walk around the stores of the Konoha mall. She was just about to go into the Disney store as she hadn't been having any luck anywhere else when someone called her name. Thinking it was one of her friends, she turned around only
to find none other than Matsuri behind her.
"Hey bitch"
Hinata decided she would ignore the older girl. She didn't have time for her, and she didn't want to dwell on the past anymore. And if she had an altercation with Matsuri, she would be doing just the opposite. So Hinata turned back around and began to walk into the store only for a hand to be put on her shoulder.
"I wish you would have brought the little bastards with ya. Really wanted to see them…the little bitches that he left me for."
"E-excuse me." It took a minute for Hinata to process what she said. And when she did, the girl just kept on talking.
"It's only logical since I already know what your ugly ass looks like."
And before Hinata could even think about it, she got the urge to jump—she nearly launched herself at the other girl. No one-NO ONE HAD THE RIGHT TO INSULT HER DAUGHTERS THAT WAY. But she couldn't because she knew it would land her in jail. And also, when she looked at the girl who ruined her life, she saw nothing but pain mirrored in the older girl's eyes. It was honestly one of the most pitiful looks she'd ever seen on another human being besides herself. Hinata had that look in her own eyes after Gaara hurt her, and Hinata knew nothing she could do physically to hurt her would ever amount to whatever Matsuri was feeling on the inside.
'She just wants to hurt you as bad as she is hurt.' Hinata thinks, as she turns around and walks away from the other girl who begins to scream obscenities at her. 'just ignore her'
For the most part Hinata did. But one thing stuck.
"Honey, all he'll ever be is my sloppy seconds. I wonder if you'll be as good of a fuck as I was."
The words plagued Hinata as she went back home. They plagued her as she joined in on the family fun that Gaara had planned (playing princess and dragons and watching movies). They stuck in her mind when Gaara spoke to her, asking what wrong. They were in her mind when she said, "I ran into Matsuri today."
They stuck in her head when they worked to put the girls to bed. They stuck in her mind as she went into her closet, took off her bra and pants and found one his red muscle shirt and slid it over her head. They stuck in her mind as she followed him into the bathroom.
With Gaara
Gaara had just turned on the shower and was about to go get his clothes out of the bedroom when he heard the bathroom door close. Turning away from the shower, he was met with the sight of Hinata wearing nothing but one of his red muscle shirts. And man did it show her curves nicely. He could tell that she wasn't wearing a bra; it was pretty obvious. "Nata, what are you doing in her-"
She pulled him toward her crashing their lips together. Hinata jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist, forcing him to cup her butt to support her weight. Her tongue ran along the small crevice created when his lips had closed. Spurred on by her advances, Gaara opened his mouth and let his tongue meet hers.
Then he felt her falter for a second before pulling away. She didn't bring her lips back to his, so he ended up opening his eyes to see what was wrong, only to see her eyes squeezed shut and her lip caught between her teeth. She was thinking about something, very concentrated. He continued to stare at the embarrassingly, adorable face that she was making- that is until she gave a nod to herself and her hands moved to the button of his pants. Everything started to come together: she'd seen Matsuri today and his ex- girlfriend no doubt had taunted her about their sexual past and now Hinata was jumping him in the bathroom. Hinata was forcing herself to do this to unconsciously get back at the girl who Gaara had cheated on her with. Hinata kept fumbling with the button because of her shaking hands, so Gaara took it as his chance to stop her. "Babe we have to stop."… Silence
Her teary eyes stared up at him, hurt evident in the lavender orbs. "Y-you-you don't want to… with me?" he knew what the pause in her statement meant, she was too shy to utter the words 'have sex'.
It was insecure comments like this that reminded him of her modest personality and, on a negative note, her lack of self-esteem that had always hindered their relationship to some extent in the past. She was beyond beautiful, a true goddess in human form and yet she doubted that he wanted to make love to her. He wanted to- HE REALLY DID! But he knew her little run-in with Matsuri had spurred this sudden, steamy make-out session in the bathroom. He loved her too much to take advantage of her insecurities and have a romp in the bathroom, though it took all his will power to stop from ravishing her where she stood. Had she been some other girl, with no true significance, and she come to him a little more than nine months ago, he would've wasted no time in divesting her of clothes and bending her over the sink or taking her in the bathtub. But this was Hinata, his Nata, the mother of his daughters, who were sleeping in the next room, and the love of his life. She exuded innocence (funny since they'd had sex before) and compassion that he didn't want to taint, not like this, especially when he'd worked so hard to gain her trust and acceptance of his love again. He wasn't going to risk it this way. She wanted to wait until they got married, and he wanted the same.
"Babe, there is nothing in the world that'd be better than making love to you. That being said, I don't want to do that in the bathroom with our daughters less than fifty feet away. You don't deserve to have your first time since you've come back to me to be in a bathroom. You deserve rose petals, candles and every other romantic thing ever invented when we make love again." He paused to wipe the tears that fell from her eyes away. She opened her mouth to protest, but he cut her off before she got started. "Look I know Matsuri said some shit earlier, but us fucking in the bathroom won't take her words away. She was just being a bitch and trying to hurt you."
"You, you stayed with her after. You stayed with her. I tried to be with other people, but I only ever wanted to be with you. She fell in love with you too" Hinata whispers against his neck.
He nods. "I know, and I broke her heart when we got back together, but that's my damage not yours. And you don't have to prove anything to her or me. I chose you. And when you said you wanted to wait, I chose to wait too, and I won't let either of us go back on that."
He put his hands on top of her thighs that were wrapped around his waist and gently pushed them down, until her feet touched the floor and she could stand on her own. The look of rejection on her face, pained him; however, he wouldn't go back on his decision to wait. She wasn't ready. Neither was he. And he knew that rushing it, like they'd done three years, ago could have disastrous effects, something that he wasn't willing to risk. No, not again because this time he had too much to lose.
Gaara went to the bathtub and turned off the running water, the shower could wait. Then he grabbed Hinata's hand, lead her back to their bedroom, sat down on the bed and pulled her into his lap.
Everything was tense and silent. He thought she'd fallen asleep, but as soon as he was about to lay her down next to the children, he felt the sensation of tiny droplets of moisture seeping through the fabric of his shirt, making it stick to skin. She was crying. "I-I was g-gonna t-tell you about me being pregnant when I caught you with her." Hinata mumbled into his chest.
"I know." he figured that out a long time ago, after finding out that she was pregnant when she left. "I'm sorry that I ever did that to you. You didn't deserve that. But I promise you.. like I did at Christmas, that I will prove myself to you. I love you."
"I lo-love yo-you too"
That night is like another reset in their relationship. Matsuri and any thoughts of her are shoved aside for them to focus solely on themselves and their family.

Dear Diary,
Sometimes, I feel like we move two steps forward only to back-peddle, but we're making it. Everything is falling into place and I am so happy. He's wonderful. The girls are wonderful. Our families are wonderful. Everything
The girls' birthday went off without a hitch. It was like Christmas, lots of gifts and family, but this time—Gaara was Daddy instead of just uncle. And they were the three musketeers. They played and had fun and it was just so beautiful. And I can't for us to spend many more birthdays like this.
TTYL,
Love Hinata

He proposed again. It was Valentine's Day. He wore all red and made her wear all white. She was 24 and he was 25. The twins were almost 10. And she said yes.

With Gaara,
As she walked down the aisle her arm wrapped around her father's, he found himself transfixed. No it wasn't the dress—sure it was beautiful combination of white fabric and intricate designs. It wasn't her hair, which had been pulled into a low bun. It wasn't her makeup. It was her. She was beautiful, and perfect just by being here, accepting him and his love for her. He would love for eternity. He just hoped his handwritten vows told her that.
"Hinata, loving you has been an honor. I realize we have had our rocky patches, and I realize that we will probably have many more because I'm an idiot, "he paused as the room laughed. "But I promised that I will never jeopardize our family or our love. You are the mother of my children, the love of my life, and today, my wife."
It must've worked because she was crying when he was finished, and her tears didn't stop even as she said her vows. "Our past isn't perfect, but we even through all of that…We fi-finally made it here. And I can honestly say that I love you with all of my heart, Gaara. I love you and our daughters with everything that I am and promise to never stop."
He's crying by the time she finishes.
With Hinata
Love is something that isn't perfect. Sometimes love is fated and the two people are destined. Sometimes it's something that people fall into and out of unknowingly while others fall after consciously choosing another person as their soulmate. Sometime love last forever; other times no matter how much two people work to keep their love alive, it's doomed. Love has my risks, and I know there is no road where we won't face any bumps. But she loved him. And she loved the family that they've built together. And as she said I do, she looked at the seafoam green-eyed man in front of her, she signed on for the rest of her life, she thought of her daughters and their families behind them. So much was riding on their future and she knew they would pull through because they had all of the support in the world.
She became Hinata Sabaku and they kissed through their tears. There was a roar of applause behind them.

The Honeymoon
A Hotel in The Bahamas
After the wedding reception, their parents promptly threw them on a plane with the promise of keeping the girl and allowing them to call every day while the newlyweds enjoyed a child free honey moon.
The colors of the sunset streaked across his body making him look like an ethereal being. She couldn't help but stare at his bare torso, but she must've stared for a long time because he started laughing and asked her. "Like what you see babe?"
Her cheeks burned in embarrassment, a blush on the horizon as she replied, "Y-yeah."
He leaned down and captured her lips, silencing any further embarrassment that her mind could conjure. Slowly, his hands started to wander, lightly caressing her arms, then her exposed thighs. And when they were connected again, their bodies fit together perfectly.
They worshiped each other in any way they could, every surface of the room christened, mantras of Gaara and Hinata whispered, moaned, and screamed into the atmosphere. Their neighbors complained but they paid no mind. They were newlyweds after all.

TTYL Diary
With Hinata and Gaara
Hinata is asleep at the moment. He was sitting in the hospital chair near her bed, cradling their newborn baby boy who was swaddled in a navy blue blanket. Their baby boy is asleep also. Gaara paid no mind, though. He just basked in the unspoken love that filled the room.
They'd decided to continue with the H tradition that had existed within her family for years.
Little Henri Uryu (they'd decided to give him Gaara's father's first name for a middle name) Sabaku was born on November 30 to parents Hinata and Gaara Sabaku at 6 :15 am. He is 7 lbs, and has A blood type. He is the younger brother of Haveah and Havana Sabaku. He is the spitting image of Gaara with red hair and sea foam green eyes.
Gaara finds himself looking down at his son he feels tears well into his eyes. His life is so perfect. His lovely, exhausted wife (labor had been more than 21 hours) begins to stir.
"Hello, mommy," he whispers as he rises from his chair to bring their little bundle of joy closer to his mother. She smiles and replies with a hello of her own.
There is a knock at the door and when Hinata murmurs to come in, both Haveah and Havana come rushing in. The parents look at each other and smile once again and say in tandem, "Meet you baby brother."
As the little girls begin to make a fuss over their cute baby brother, he leans down and kisses her.
"I love you" she whispers when he pulls way.
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. ~ Ann Landers
Okay, let me know what u think.
Again, I would like to say: Thank you awesome people for reading, writing and reviewing my story. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have kept going.
I love you all.
Okay, you guys can stop now, but if you don't mind my philosophical ramblings: carry on and let me know if I am making any sense.
Hinata and Gaara made mistakes (him cheating and her leaving and so many afterward) that led to them losing each other in the beginning. There was collateral damage (the Hyugas and Sabakus missing out on the girls' early lives), but with life people's, even minute one's, decisions can have major consequences for others. And Hinata coming back and being forced to stay forced her and Gaara to admit to the emotional toll their actions caused on not only each other, but their families. Hinata fought it, but eventually she had to own up to her own destructive behavior and come to terms that one can't always run from their problems and bury their lives (her new family vs. her old one). From there, they had to find each other again on emotional level while being parents. Again, Hinata was resistant. She feared not only for herself, but for her daughters as well, which is only natural. Gaara was forced to see how good his life could be with Hinata versus Matsuri and he made a choice which left Matsuri as collateral. And somehow Hinata and Gaara got to a place to live happily ever after or at least their versions of it anyway.
Maybe it's a little cliché, but I wanted a happy ending since so many relationships that suffer from mistakes that take lovers off track and the course of their future, where they should end up together, is irrevocably changed (I'm also a lonely hopeless romantic, but I digress). But at the same time, I left a couple of open endings (like what happed to Matsuri) because life is never completely uncomplicated as to have your mistakes completely disappear into nothingness. She still exists, and will still be the remnant of Gaahina's past conflict.
Ultimately, I've realized that this story was intended to be about a journey, not only for Gaahina, but for me as well.
Sure the whole thirteen and pregnant thing was weird to a lot of people, but when I was younger (8th grade), I knew a twelve year old who'd gotten pregnant. When I started writing this, I was also in a phase where I tried to make my character relatable to my own age so I have them a year younger than I was at the time. I wouldn't change it because it reflects the fact that a lot of children I know or have known have grown up too fast.
Sure the story was dramatic, but so is life.
It's rough, and imperfect, but I have come to a place where I can say that I am happy with this story. One day though I think that I will go back and edit, but it'll probably be repost because I want to keep the original as a reminder of how far I've come as a writer. I began this story February 5, 2011 (I was 14 years old and in ninth grade), and today is January 8, 2016 (I'm 19 years old and entering the second semester of my second year of college). I can honestly say that I feel that I've come a long way. Thank you for coming along for this ride.
THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
~Kurenai Cakes
