Not Loved

Chapter 21

Adam sighed he felt bad for Colby and Scott he was worried about everything. He knew right now wouldn't be a good time to bring up his feelings for Colby at all not right after she lost the baby. He knew from talking to Scott that things were going well that she was slowly healing and spending lots of time with Gauge and Taylor her two babies that she loved more than anything. Adam couldn't get it out of his head his feelings for her though.

Adam grabbed his laptop and fired it up so confused and didn't know is she would ever find this and hoped she didn't but he had to get his feelings out. After shutting down his laptop again he just swallowed them down for how he truly felt for the time being. After putting his laptop up and slipping a shirt on he decided to go find something to eat. He knew who he could talk to about all this and that was Hunter who would never utter a word to anyone but he didn't want to talk about those feelings either. After grabbing his best friend Christian they talked and grabbed some food and able to catch up on just about everything.

"Something is on your mind Adam what is it?" Christian asked

"Yes there are a few things on my mind but I don't want to talk about that right now." Adam said and looked down at his plate and took another bite of food. Christian could tell that something was off and didn't want to push it or Adam would shut down completely he had seen it a few different times in their friendship.

While they were talking it was nearly 7 hours later in the United States and Colby was starting to wake up and rolled over in bed and into a hard chest. "Your chest is hard Scott." Colby said as she rolled out of bed and used the bathroom then climbed back into bed and snuggled up to Scott.

"How are you feeling babe?" Scott asked then kissed her forehead.

"Tender but that is normal." Colby said and laid on her back.

Scott got out of bed and used the bathroom and washed his hands and then gently checked Colby over as he knew that she was hurting in more ways than one. "I love you babe. How are you truly feeling?"

"I'm upset, sad but I also know that she is no long in pain and that we will be okay. How am I to feel when I have never lost a baby before. When will we ever have a baby?" Colby asked as she rested her head on Scott's chest.

"Sweetheart it will happen. It didn't help any that we were very stressed and you were completely run down. It will baby we just can't force it. We will make it through everything." Scott stated as he held Colby close. "We have two little ones coming home on Monday and we are both on leave for three and half more weeks." Colby just sighed she knew Scott was right and she loved him even more for it. Colby snuggled into Scott and was content in his arms letting his heartbeat calm her down and just rest. "I love you Colby."

"I love you too Scott. I'm sorry if I am distant now in the next few weeks. I am slowly healing." Colby said and kissed his chest above his heart.

"I can understand that baby. I am the same way. Just know that I am always here and you can always talk to me." Scott said and pressed a light kiss to her lips as she was looking up at her. "How about a second honeymoon?"

"Scott I'm not even cleared to have sex right now." Colby said as she rolled to her back. "I would at least like to lose the baby weight."

"Okay sweetheart you let me know when you want to take it and where you would like to go." Scott stated. "Get some rest." Colby rolled to her side and took one of her pain pills and Scott listened to her then cuddled up behind her and they both drifted off and were able to sleep.

It was a few months later that Jake and Ashtyn welcomed a sweet baby girl into the family Kenzie Ashtyn.

*1 Year Later*

Colby looked up and smiled when she heard footsteps coming towards her. "MOMMY" Colby smiled even more when she saw Taylor running towards her. "Lookie mommy."

Colby smiled when she saw Taylor jump onto the couch with a flowers "For you mommy." Taylor handed the flowers to her mommy then jumped off the couch and ran off again. Colby smelled the flowers and smiled they were her favorite. Colby looked up and smiled at her husband who had sat down on the couch next to her and wrapped her up in his arms.

"Thank you babe." Colby said as she laid her head in his lap and he placed a hand on their baby she was 8 months pregnant and doing great. "She is moving so much."

"Yes she is baby. How are you feeling?" Scott asked

"Good. We are due tomorrow for our section. Gauge is leaving here after supper time for the week at Adam's and your mom is picking up Taylor in a few hours." Colby said

"Is Taylor packed?" Scott asked. Colby just looked at Scott and shook her head at him. "What I'm just asking."

"Scott you know that I am always on top of things babe. She is packed and she can't wait to spend the week with your mom. The nursery is ready to go and Gauge can't wait to spend two weeks with Adam. I swear you are worse than both kids sometimes." Colby said and Scott laughed. It was true over the last few months he had been constantly on top of things but when Colby was put on bedrest for the last few weeks she due to high blood pressure and she had always taken the time to get things done she always had the weeks planned out.

The next few hours passed quickly Scott took Gauge over to Adam and Taylor over to his mom and grabbed supper and headed back home and smiled at his wife. After a romantic night they were wrapped up in each others arms.

The next day came fast and soon they were holding their little girl in their arms Kelsey Ashtyn in their arms. Both thankful that Kelsey was very healthy.

Colby couldn't believe in a matter of a few years she went from not being loved by Adam to being loved deeply by Scott. She was happy where she was now with all of her family, kids and now a baby and their family was now completely.
