Hello. This is a bit of filler, but at least I am updating like I should be. The next chapter will have some danger and it will see the soul reapers go back home.

That does mean that there is a time skip. No worries, nothing important happens for the rest of their visit.

My Naruto story has been started, but I do not know when new chapters will be up.

I will start posting my One Piece story soon.

Thanks to any who read.

Enjoy

Kodochi opened her eyes slowly. She could tell she was in the candy shop; she knew she was in a back room. What she didn't know was what was making the sounds in the corner. She turned her head as far back as she could and saw Shuhei sitting in the corner fiddling with some metal contraption.

"You're loud." She mumbled.

He looked up at her and frowned. "You snore."

"I do not."

"Ever hear yourself sleep?" He got up from the corner and moved to sit by her.

It was her turn to frown. "No."

"That's what I thought."

Kodochi rolled her eyes and tried to sit up. Shuhei helped her get into a sitting position.

"You okay?"

"Yeah." She glanced around. "Where is everyone?"

"They didn't stay. Renji was going to, but the kids didn't want him eating all their food."

Kodochi laughed. "I've seen him eat, I don't blame them."

Shuhei smiled. "Good to see you're feeling better, Kodochi."

"Thanks."

Shuhei went to the kitchen and got a sandwich and some soda for Kodochi. She instantly loved Mountain Dew and declared that the soul society should invest in it.

"I'll make sure my captain runs that by the other captains next time they're all together."

"Hello there." Kisuke said as he walked into the small room. Behind him was Kodochi's gigai. She watched as the man hit the gigai on the back of the head with the end of his cane and the soul candy popped out.

"Hi." Kodochi said as she caught the little ball. Shuhei caught her temporary body and placed it against the wall. It looked like a dead person. It looked like a dead version of her.

"Feeling alright?"

"Better. Thanks."

He nodded. Shuhei left with him and Kodochi returned to the body. It felt strange looking at herself. She was solid; no longer a soul reaper but a real person.

When she left the candy shop she could feel the curiosity seeping from Kisuke.

"Tell me about Kisuke." Kodochi said as she and Shuhei walked toward the Kurosaki household.

"He founded the Department of Research and Development back when he was the captain of squad twelve."

"He was over Captain Kurotsuchi?" The shock was evident in Kodochi's voice.

"Yeah, about one hundred years ago."

"Damn, no wonder I felt like he was staring at me like prey. He probably has a secret lab where he conducts experiments on people."

Shuhei laughed. "He isn't anything like Captain Kurotsuchi. He was probably watching you because he's a pervert."

"Good to know." She deadpanned. "At least it was nothing creepy."

"We're here."

Kodochi looked up at the house. "Thanks for walking me here. I hope Chad doesn't live too far away."

Shuhei shrugged. "It's no big deal."

"Shuhei, what are you doing here?"

The two soul reapers turned to see Ichigo walking with Orihime toward his family's house.

"Just walking Kodochi back."

Ichigo glanced her way. "Feel alright?"

"A little weak and pathetic, to be honest, but I'll survive." She smiled. "Thanks for saving back there."

He nodded. "You want to stay for supper, Shuhei?"

"Sure."

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow at school, Ichigo." Orihime smiled up at him.

"Yeah, see ya."

They waited for the smiling girl to turn the corner before heading toward the door.

"So, Ichigo, letting a girl walk you home. That's new."

"Shut it, Shuhei. Orihime works down the road taking care of some kids."

"Sure, whatever you say."

They had a nice meal with Ichigo and his sisters. Toshiro was missing again-as was Ichigo's father. Kodochi got the feeling that there was something going on that she was being kept out of the loop on but let it go.

Ichigo and Shuhei sat in the floor of his old room while Kodochi sat on the bed.

"You should be sitting up here, Ichigo. It is your room."

"Don't worry about it."

"So, what do you think Captain Hitsugaya and your dad are doing?" Shuhei asked as stretched his back.

"I don't know. Probably reminiscing over the good old days."

"Reminiscing?" Kodochi looked at the boy with curiosity.

He smiled. "Nobody told you? My dad was the captain of squad ten years ago. He was Toshiro's captain."

Kodochi nearly fell off of the bed. "Are you pulling my leg?"

"Nope. It's all true."

Shuhei moved to side of the bed and yanked on Kodochi's ankle nearly pulling her into the floor. "Trust me; you would know if anyone was pulling your leg."

She glared down at the lieutenant and kicked him lightly in the side. She looked back to Ichigo. "Does your dad still have his soul reaper powers?"

"Yeah, he helped us fight against Aizen."

Kodochi looked out the window. She knew that only the strongest had fought against Aizen and his arrancars. "Ichigo, will you help me train?"

He glanced lazily at her. "Why me?"

"You're human and you're a hero in the Seireitei. I saw your strength the other night." She sighed and looked back at the boy. "I was useless in a real fight and at my current level-without my shikai-humans can beat me. It's a bit shameful. No offense to your friends, of course."

Ichigo let out a small laugh. "I'm not much of a teacher, but I guess I can try."

"Thanks." She lay down and covered up.

Shuhei looked back at her. "What are you doing?"

"Going to bed."

"With us still in here?"

"Turn out the lights when you leave."
