Break up is never fun.

If the phone hadn't been new and a gift from her fathers at Christmas, she would have thrown it into the wall. Instead she put it on her desk and left her room. The talk had just hurt more, especially as Thatch had claimed he hadn't meant to kiss Lily. That it only had been a bet and a challenge. Lutricia could still not see the harmless in a kiss, no matter what the reason was. As she had tried to talk about New Year, he had apologized for rushing, but also told her that he really wanted to take the next step. It had been hopeless to talk to him and she had cut him off.

She walked down to the kitchen. Mihawk had just arrived home and was placing the ice cream in the freezer. Shanks and Zoro were sitting at the table small-talking. Lutricia felt how her eyes stung and everything felt so empty and cold. She sat next to her father and cuddled close to him. He put an arm around her and soothed her.

"I … I don't want to see him again soon," she whispered.

"It's okey, Princess," said Shanks.

Zoro gazed sorry at her and Mihawk sat next to Shanks, taking his lover's hand. He looked at Lutricia, who had her eyes closed, feeling down.

"When the pizza arrives, we'll eat in the living room seeing a movie. I just got the perfect movie for you," said Shanks.

"Can I eat in my room?" asked Zoro.

"Sure, but just this time," said Mihawk, before Shanks could say something.

As she felt asleep, her pillow slight wet from tears, it was way pass midnight. Lutricia just wanted the whole world to stop. However she knew she had to go to school the next day and some day she had to face Thatch again. How could he break her heart like this? And then just after such a short time? At the day before Christmas Eve he had stopped himself from going further. She blamed the alcohol for New Year, but now she could see he had somewhat planned it. Damn that idiot.

"What's wrong, Lu?" asked Luffy the next day, as they were having lunch.

She was just stabbing to her lunch, not feeling hungry at all. Zoro looked worried at her. She hadn't eaten breakfast at all and now she didn't seem to eat her lunch. A broken heart must hurt more than starvation.

"Lu?" Sabo put his hand on her arm.

She gazed at him, her eyes slight dark and red.

"What's wrong?" Sabo asked.

"Did you and Thatch have a fight?" asked Luffy bluntly.

She felt the tears building up in her eyes and she looked down. "We broke up," she mumbled.

Silence felt over the table. All eyes darted to Zoro, who shrugged. He didn't know the circumstances under which they had broken up. Just that Lutricia was heartbroken and knowing Thatch, he probably had done something to her. Crossed a line or so. However it didn't surprise him, though Thatch really had seemed to be in love with Lutricia and he knew it had been more than just fooling around with her. Sometimes people just didn't change, no matter what.

Sabo placed an arm around her and pulled her close, seeing how hurt she was. She was his best friend and right now she needed him. Hopefully her fathers had handled this situation with decency.

"I'm here for you Lu, if you need someone to talk to," he said.

"Thanks Sabo," she said.

At that moment the bell was ringing telling that lunchtime was over.

As they came home, Zoro sat in the kitchen with Lutricia.

"So what did he do?" he asked softly.

"I saw him kiss Lily at the Sunny Go café," she said, looking at the table.

"That cheater. I'm so sorry for you, sis. Should I beat him up?" he asked, putting a hand on hers.

She shook her head. "No. Just … Just be here for me, would you? Like when I came after mom's death," she said, tears building up in her eyes.

"Of course sis. Well, I don't feel like doing homework. What about a game?" he asked.

"I'm going to beat your ass," she said with a grin.

Zoro snorted and they went to the living room. Sometimes it was needed to just have fun and not doing homework. And knowing Lutricia, he knew it wouldn't be a big deal for her, because she was the smartest kid in class.

Shanks looked at his kids, as they played Wii. He wasn't sure whether to scold them or let them be. He was sure they hadn't done their homework, but to see Lutricia have fun and was smiling, even laughing when she was better than Zoro, made him feel bad for wanting to scold them. She needed the distraction, so he went to the kitchen, where Mihawk was drinking coffee.

"He's a great brother," said Shanks and poured some coffee in a cup.

"They've gotten close," said Mihawk.

Shanks nodded. "Damn I want to beat the crap out of Thatch for hurting my girl," he said.

Mihawk smiled. "You're not the only one, but doing so is not a solution. Beside Whitebeard would probably not like it, no matter the reason."

Shanks hummed. He knew that. However, to see his precious daughter be so heartbroken was hard. He just wanted her to be happy and she had been so happy in love with Thatch and that idiot had to ruin it. It didn't surprise Shanks and he had feared it, but he couldn't control his daughter's feelings. The only thing he could do was to be there when she needed him and guide her, so she could make the right decisions.

Lutricia looked at the text. It was from Izo, who wanted to know if he could call her. She smiled and wrote back that of course he could call. Not one minute passed after she had sent the text, did her phone ring and Izo's worried voice sounded.

"How are you doing, darling?"

"Not good," she said, not wanting to lie.

"I saw Thatch with another woman and asked what he was doing, to which he said you've ended your relationship. Talk to me girl. Should I beat him up?"

She chuckled. "Don't beat him up, Izo. He's a cheating idiot," she said.

"I should have warned you. Thatch can be a womanizer, but he seemed so in love with you. Something we haven't really seen, so we thought it would be different this time. I'm so sorry."

"It was not your fault."

"Should we meet for tea or coffee Saturday? My treat."

"Sure. Should we say Going Merry at 1 p.m.?"

"It's a friendship date. See you."

"See you," she said and hung up.

It felt good that Izo still wanted to be her friend and seemed to have been afraid that she didn't wanted to have anything to do with him, after she and Thatch had broken up, but she liked the cross dresser a lot and his tips was always welcomed. So she looked forward to having tea with him.

Friend-date with Izo. How will that go?
