Chapter 21. The Hunt for Bobba Fett

Bobba Fett had gone into hiding after Darth Khaun died. He lived in a large mansion on the planet New Alderaan. Despite his age Fett was in the prime of his life. As he loved his peace and quiet all his servants were droids. Bobba slept in a large bed, with his eyes open. Then he was blinded by a bright light.

"BOBBA!"

"Father is that you?" He got out of bed and walked across the white landscape. "FATHER!" He ran towards him and hugged him as if he was a boy again.

"What are you doing?"

"What do you mean?"

"You are my son…A Mandelorian! A Warrior! This is not you!"

"What do you mean?"

"They are coming for you…Leave now this place is not safe…"

"FATHER!" Bobba screamed as a red blade decapitated Jango Fett. But instead of Mace Windew it was a red headed woman with a lightwhip. Bobba bent down and picked up his father's severed head.

"You are not safe here leave now!" The head said.

Bobba awoke in a cold sweat. That was more than a dream someone was screwing with his head. He jumped up and dawned his armor, then he powered up his ship and left New Alderaan in search of Talon Karde.

The DIVA

Two days later Darth Divas arrives in her ship the DIVA and lands on the side of the mountain near Bobba Fett's mansion. She walks down the ramp and uses the force to rip open the doors. She searches the mansion in a matter of seconds with just a thought. "Someone has warned my quarry…Oh well!" Divas says sensing a powerful force impression. She leaves the mansion and as she walks to her ship she flicks her hand demolishing the mansion.

Mustafar

Divas returns to Mustafar and sends out a call for bounty hunters, "I am looking for the infamous Bobba Fett…I want him brought back to me alive and unharmed…The job pays 100,000,000 credits…Now get out of sight…" Divas was forced to use bounty hunters as her force vision was blocked by a sith spell.

The Corporate Sector – Lythos VII

It took a month but Bobba tracked Talon Karde to his base of operations on Lythos VII. His base was mobile as it could leave and relocate under a cloaking shield. When he landed Bobba was aloud entry as Talon somehow knew he was coming.

"Bobba Fett long time no see…"

"I need information, weapons, and a place lay low until I can gather me an army…"

"Some caf…" Bobba shook his head, "You have a large price on your head…One hundred million creds…alive!"

"Well there's something to be grateful for…Any idea who posted it?"

"No but this person is has deep pockets…"

Mal'ordian – 129 parsecs from Lythos System

A large muscled Iridonian sits around a camp fire with a Transdosian, a Wookie, a Noghri, a female Twi'lek, and a Hapan male. A speeder bike pulls up and the rider wearing Echani armor hops off. Under the golden helm is a human woman. "Why take so long?" The Noghri male asks

"Karde has eyes everywhere…" The woman replies handing the Iridonian a holodisk.

After he places the disk in the astro-droid it projects an image of a Rodian, "This is Tacz…The Mandelorian you are looking for is here…Move quickly Karde will help hide him…"

When the message ends the Iridonian stands up, "Rau! Rau! Where not going to attack Talon Karde's base are we?" The Hapan asks.

Rau draws his gold plated blaster and shouts the Hapan in the head, "Anyone else want out?" He asks in a deep baritone voice, "Then we move now! Shaakau on missiles…Vek on the stick…Syreen and Debox with me…Everyone dies! We take the Mandelorian alive!"

Lythos VII

"How much longer will this take?"

"An hour at the most…We don't want you to be traced now do we…"

"And the army I asked for…"

"A week!"

"I don't have a week…Nobody puts a bounty on my head…"

Just then several of Karde's men drag in a Rodian. Bobba pulls his gun, "What is this?" Karde asks pushing Bobba's blaster down.

"I saw him talking to a bounty hunter wearing Echani armor…I traced the bounty hunter to Mal'ordian…Talon he is working for the god of blood…"

"MAKS!" Bobba said.

Talon looks at Bobba, "You know him?"

"He's a butcher! Cold blooded killer…He tried to steal a bounty from me…I owe that schutta…"

Bobba was cut off by a huge explosion and the lights flickering on and off, "What the hell was that?"

"Ion missile!" Bobba said.

"He's right fried all the COMs and droids in the base…Nothing works…"

"What do we do with this murklakk?"

"Give him to Bobba…"

They threw the Rodian at Bobba Fett's feet. He took out a vibroblade and cut off the Rodians hands. Then he takes a sonic emitter and ties it to the Rodian's head and throws him into a sound proof room. Booba presses a button and the Rodian goes wild screaming an errie high pitched noise.

Maks' ship hovers above the ground. The bottom opens up and a remodeled Imperial AT-AT walker falls out. The legs are folded under the belly as it hovers above the ground. It flies toward the base firing all weapons. When it reaches the base the legs unfold and it walks forward. When it reaches the base thousands of razor droids fly out of an open hatch.

"Razor Droids!" Someone screams just before he is torn apart by the buglike droids.

"My ship is shielded against Ion attacks…" Bobba says activating his wrist gauntlet computer. The Slave III powers up and leaps into the air targeting the walker as it deploys the Maks and his bounty hunters. The missiles have drill points and cut holes into the walker before they explode. Then the Slave III turns to face Maks' ship the Gatherer. The Slave III micro-jumps into the Gatherer and explodes. Both ships plummet to the ground.

"I'm going to beat Fett into a bloody pulp when I see him…" Maks says watching his ship explode.

Hundreds of Karde's men come out armed with swords and make shift shields as they don't have any working guns to fight with. The Noghri Vek fires an eight barrel laser gun into the crowd. The men attacking are sacrifing themselves while the rest of Karde's men get the weapons from the bunker. Bobba is on the hall of the ship rigging a thermo detonator and a missile from his back pack. He fires it at the Noghri killing him and the Twi'lek.

"FETT!" Maks' screams charging him with a vibro-sword. Bobba draws two blades and the fight begins. Maks is a strength fighter and a brawler, Bobba has speed on his side, but the Iridonian heavily armored. He knocks Bobba's right sword from his hand. Bobba retaliates with a scissors drop toe hold. Then he stabs the Iridonian in the head. The battle is over but it cost Karde over two hundred people and a lot of equipment.

"How are you going to recover?"

Karde hunches his shoulders, "I think it is time I retired and allowed my son to take over…But before I do I am going to smuggle you to Coruscant…I think Daala can hide you from the horde of bounty hunters looking for you…"

"How all your ships are down it will be hours to jumpstart them?"

"Booster is on the way…The moment my base was hit an emergency signal was sent out…He should be here in a few hours…"

Coruscant

It was raining and the skies of Coruscant flashed lightening as a counterfeit ambassador shuttle arrives. Daala is waiting under a weather droid as the ship lands. "You should have come to me…" Daala says when they are safely aboard her private shuttle.

"You're not thinking about involving the Jedi in this are you?" Bobba asked.

"Oh no my old friend…" Daala takes him the Ambassador suit in the state building, 'You wait here and make yourself comfortable I have some business to attend to…When I am done we shall see how I can help you out…"

"Thanks!"

Daala walks to her office and closes all the windows. Then she activates her Sith COM unite. A few seconds later Darth Divas appears, "What is it?"

"Mistress! He is here…Bobba Fett…He came to me for help…"

"Bring him to Mustafar…"

"Yes mistress…um does that mean I get the bounty on his head?" The transmission was cut. After signing a few proposals the Daala clone walks back to Bobba's Suit with four reprogrammed YVH droids. "Everything is set…My man will take you to the Mustafar System…"

Mustafar

When they arrive a woman in dark robes is waiting, "You have lead me on quit a chase…" Bobba realizes that Dala set him up. He tries to fight, but Divas shocks him until he passes out. "Prep him for DNA extraction…" As her personal guards take him to the lab Divas makes her way to the COM room. She drops to one knee as a hologram of Darth Cadeus appears, "Master! I have Bobba Fett…He is being prepared for cloning…"

"Well done…Contact me when you have 500,000 clones armed and ready…"

"Yes Master! What about the Star Forge?"

"It is operating at 150% and it's capacity is still rising…I will send the transports on your next transmission…"
