This is the last chapter of Sakura High. Man it's been a long ride. I want to thank everyone for reviewing, following, and favorited this story. Your support means a lot and this story has made me improve a lot as a writer.
It wasn't supposed to end like this and so soon but a few problems at home made me end this story sooner than planned.

'The Amazing Spider-man' played on the screen in the dark movie room, but Kai paid no attention to the movie. He had his head in Rei's lap, and while it began to feel uncomfortable for his neck is was wonderful because Rei played with hair and caressed his scalp and neck.
Kai sat up in the sofa and scratched his neck to get rid of the tingling feeling from Rei's hands.
"Did I hurt you? I'm sorry," Rei yawned and closed his eyes. Kai wouldn't let him fall asleep that easily.
"I want sex," Rei didn't open his eyes. "You always do this," Kai muttered and Rei groaned.
"I just want to watch the movie," he said and opened his eyes to proof that. This didn't make Kai any happier.
"Why are you avoiding it?" Kai demanded. He was determinate to find out why Rei, even after months of dating, avoided the subject of sex like it was cancer.
"Why are you so persistent in bringing it up?" Rei countered. His eyes were locked on the floor and he refused to look up.
"Damn it Rei," the younger teen didn't see the pillow before it hit his face. "Can't you just… Wait!" Kai desperately called out when Rei grabbed a pillow and hit his head with it. "You'll regret that," he warned and grabbed the pillow. Rei's eyes widened when Kai attacked. He pushed Rei down on the sofa and sat on him, fully intending to suffocate him with the pillow unless he gave up.
Rei grabbed his waist and rolled down on the floor. Kai groaned when his shoulder hit the floor.
"That hurt," Rei complained and massaged his poor head.
"No shit," Kai muttered and sat up. "You take pillow fighting way too serious," he pretended not to hear that Rei cracked his neck.
"You tried to suffocate me!" Rei defended himself and massaged his neck. Another movement and his back cracked. He sighed in relief.
"You wouldn't answer my question," Kai muttered. Rei pretended he didn't hear and brushed his hair with his fingers to get the knots out. "Rei, would you answer my question?" Kai tried to be reasonable and sound serious.
"No," Kai debated whether to pick up the pillow and actually suffocate his boyfriend this time.
"Why not?" Rei groaned in frustration. "If you want me to shut up about it you have to answer the question," no reaction. "I thought we were supposed to talk about things to show we trust each other," Kai mumbled and got up from the floor. They had missed the middle of the movie, not that he was in the mood to watch that anymore. He grabbed the pillow and put it back on the sofa.
"Aren't you afraid?" Rei asked, finally saying something on the subject. Kai wasn't afraid, he knew Rei wouldn't hurt him. He had sex once willingly, so he knew half of what to expect. "Oh.." Kai felt stupid for not thinking of that earlier.
"You've never…" Kai let the question hang in the air. Rei glanced at him. "Right, he hadn't even kissed anyone before me. What did I think? Seriously Kai, get a grip."
"I thought you knew that," Rei mumbled. His cheeks turned pink and he tried to hide it behind his bangs. He hated when his face turned red.
"I thought it was because of me, that's why I pushed it. Are you okay?" Kai asked and put a hand on Rei's shoulder. "Stop hiding your blush," he moved closer and kissed Rei's cheek. He was just too… well not cute but something along those lines.
"Would you decide on what you want?" Rei groaned and decided to just lay down on the floor and die. First Kai blamed him for being horny but never talking, and now when they talked and he didn't initiate anything Kai blamed him for that. "That guy gives me headaches."
"I want someone to touch me, and not hurt me. I know you can't take away the memories but you can replace them. I don't want anyone else to do that," Kai hoped it sounded right. He didn't know how to word his feelings, but ever since Christmas Rei had been better at understanding him.
"I don't know how to do that," Rei sighed and sat up. "That's too much pressure Kai. How am I supposed to fix you when I can't fix myself?" At least they were finally having the conversation Kai had been after for some time.
"Will you think about it?" Rei held in another groan. "Rei, please. I know you find me attractive but I don't understand why you always pull away," Kai stopped talking when Rei grabbed his shoulders. He looked Kai straight in the eyes, and his face was serious.
"I pull away because you're not attractive," Kai didn't even know what to think about that. "You're beautiful. You're funny. You're cute. You're way too sexy for me, and I don't get why you're together with me, but back to the point. Uhm, I actually forgot my point. I'm sorry," Rei apologised. He tilted his head slightly to the left and smiled, and Kai forgot that he was just called cute.
"How can you forget your point?" Kai demanded and Rei shrugged. "Seriously, we just talked about it. How can you forget it?" Rei let go of Kai and threw his arms up in the air in a gesture of 'How I should I know?'
"It happens a lot. I'm surprised you haven't noticed," Kai picked up nearest pillow and threw it at Rei with no mercy.

Chatter and the scent of cinnamon bounce filled the bakery, and slow music played in the background to set the mode for spring romance. Customers ordered smoothies and fresh juice constantly. Rei asked once why a bakery had all that, it seemed more like a cafe, but Oliver just laughed it away.
"Rei!" Oliver called out and handed him a plate with two smoothies. "Bring this to the corner table, I have to check on the cheesecake," Rei accepted the plate and reminded himself to be the first one in line for that cheesecake if it didn't sell out.
"Two smoothies, one banana and one strawberry," the girls nodded and he put them down on the table for them.
"Thank you," they said after each other and then resumed their conversation. He walked back to the kitchen to see how that cheesecake was coming along and if he could get the recipe. Lin loved to try everything he baked and it wasn't like he could just go home and take a nap after work. No rest for the angry dead.
"Rei, there's a phone call for you!" Someone called out the second he entered the kitchen. "Oliver has them on hold in the staff room," the baker told him and he hurried to the staff room. The only one who would call his workplace to contact him was... well, no one really.
"Where's the phone?" He asked and Oliver nodded at one of the tables. He was busy preparing his cheesecake and had all hands occupied. "I thought that was for our customers," Oliver laughed quietly.
"It's my first try making a chocolate cheesecake with Oreos at the bottom, so I thought I'd serve it to the staff first," Rei nodded and picked up the phone. "I'll prepare a slice for your sister too if you want," Oliver suggested and rummaged through the cabinets to find a lunch box to put it in.
"Hello," Rei answered while helping Oliver to find a lunch box. Lin would be thrilled over her cake slice.
"Rei Kon?"A woman asked him on the other line.
"Yes, I'm Rei Kon. I'm working now so if there's a possibility to take this later maybe?" He asked and put a big enough box on the bench for Oliver.
"I'm sorry, but this is urgent. My name is Lucy and I'm calling from the Sakura Hospital."
"... Hospital?" Rei echoed. "Why?" His stomach turned in an unpleasant way. He wanted to throw up.
"You are listed as the emergency contact for Lin Kon and... She has a mild concussion and a broken arm."
"What? How did she get that? Can I come and get her?" He interrupted her talking without listening. He had to make sure everything was alright.
"Yes, of course. She's waiting for you." The woman sounded awfully sweet suddenly. "Our desk is right where you enter the hospital. I'll tell her you'll be here soon. Bye." Rei hung up without a word.
"I'll call Robert and ask him to drive you there," Oliver spoke quietly. Rei nodded and handed him the phone. He had to get to the hospital right away. What had happened with Lin?

"I promise you the fish is dead," Nina said and sighed. Kai put the fork away so he'd stop the poking of the dead fish. "What are you so nervous about?" She asked and cut up fruit for a salad.
"Him," Kai looked out the window but the gates were still closed. "We haven't seen each other for two days Nina," he complained and leaned back in his seat. He knew Lin had been admitted to the hospital, he heard it was because of Michael, and Rei just stopped talking with anyone.
"I'm more worried about his poor sister than the time that went by since your last kiss," Kai shrank in his chair. "I know you're a teenager but try to think of people outside your circle for once. The last time she was at the hospital she woke up blind," Kai groaned. He didn't want a lecture about acting adult. He knew Nina was right and he did feel sorry for Lin, he was just irritated.
"He should have called," he muttered and stabbed his fish with his fork. "That's what we decided, no matter what we talk about it to avoid misunderstandings," Nina was about to give him another lecture about that when the door to the kitchen opened.
"Master Kai," the butler bowed. "Young Mr. Kon is here," Rei walked past him directly to Kai who jumped out of his seat.
"Rei," Kai locked his arms around him. The vanilla scent was like a haven. "I missed you," he whispered and Rei hugged him harder. "What happened? Is Lin okay?" Rei pulled back. He shook his head and looked down on the floor.
"They don't know," he looked up. Dark circles had formed under his eyes. "Our family doctor has to check on her but..." his voice cracked. "We have to go back to China," his voice was barely a whisper. He wanted to look away, but he couldn't. They had to talk about this, Kai had to understand why he was leaving.
"You're moving to China?!" Kai clenched his fist and Rei took a deep breath. He had to stay calm.
"Yes, I have no choice but I might be able to come back," he gave Kai a tiny smile. "I have to go with Lin for a few weeks but after tha-"
"You should stay," Kai glared at him and Rei shook his head.
"I can't, I'm trying to tell you, but I have to go there for a ch-"
"In China," Kai's words were a punch that took Rei's breath away. "I'm moving to Russia. Tala and Bryan are coming too. You should move to China and stay there. None of us want anything to do with you," his fists weren't clenched anymore. His eyes were cold, emotionless, and it scared Rei.
"You're all… Okay then. I won't ever bother you again. I'm sorry for being a pain in the ass these months," he smiled, then he walked out of the kitchen.

A simple explanation for ending it like this is that a person I live with has a tumor in her stomach and my thoughts are with her almost all the time. Writing is difficult for me, and I wanted to finish the story before I lost inspiration completely and another year passed. I'm sorry again for ending it like this, I know there are unanswered questions.
I will write a sequel taking place a few years later if you want, and hopefully answer the questions this ending left. I'm sorry and I hope you understand.
