Killua woke up from her slumber. A couple of days have passed since she and Gon got trapped in a closet (and Kurapika still isn't pleased about it). It was early in the morning, and she noticed it was only 9AM. She looked down at the floor where Gon slept and saw that he was still fast asleep. He seemed particularly tired today since he would usually be up around 8AM instead. Killua pulled the sheets closer to him and quietly got up from her bed.
As she walked into the kitchen, she saw Leora grabbing a cup of coffee. "Yo." Leora tiredly greeted. She was waiting for the coffee machine to finish brewing her Irish cream.
"Sup?" Killua opened the small fridge and took out a small carton of milk. She did a quick waterfall pouring it down her throat. "Are you going to study today?" Killua asked as she wiped off the excess milk from her lips.
"Mmmmm...I dunno. I feel lazy today." Leora stretched her limbs unsure of what to do. She looked over to the fridge which Killua opened again to put away the milk.
An old idea suddenly reoccurred to her.
"AHA!" Leora snapped her fingers officially waking up.
Killua angrily shushed her, "Do you want to wake up Gon!?"
"Opps..." Leora sweat-dropped, "But I just had this fantastic idea!" She clapped.
"It better not involve something stupid, or I'm telling Kurapika on you."
"WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR-OW!" Killua smacked Leora's head.
"Then quietly tell me this fascinating idea of yours." Killua scowled.
Leora smirked as she switched off the coffee machine, "Wanna head out?"
Killua blinked a couple of times, "Huh?"
"I was going to do this when we were back at my place, but I'm going to make you guys a meal!" She gloated.
Killua remembered something Gon told her a long time ago:
"Speaking of food, how did you learn to make this stuff?" Killua asked.
"Practice really. Leora isn't the best cook around, so I decided to learn since I had a lot of free time."
So the ultimate reason why Gon knows how to cook...is because of 'this' oaf infront of her.
This could spell out hell...
"Hehhh, really now? I thought the only reason why Gon cooks is because a certain someone sucks at cooking~" Killua teased.
"I do not suck! I just don't have enough time to practice. I've gotten better, trust me!" Leora folded her arms with confidence, "You should be the one talking. Do you know how to cook?" Apparently that hit a nerve as sweat rolled down Killua's face, "AHA! SEE!" Leora pointed at her realizing she was right.
Killua gritted her teeth in anger, "S-So what!? I'd probably do a better job than you!" She pointed at her.
"Oho, is this a challenge I'm seeing here? It's a challenge isn't it? Bring it!" Leora pointed back at her.
"There's no way I'm going to lose to you!" Killua she placed her hands on her hips.
"Whoever wins is allowed to do anything they want to the loser!" Leora suggested the punishment.
"I'm so in! I'll make you do something you'll never forget in your entire life time!"
"And so will I~" Leora snickered as she walked over to her opponent. "Well, it's time to do what girls do best!"
Killua glanced at her confused, "And that would be..."
"Shopping!" She wrapped her arm over Killua's shoulder. "We ran out of food anyway, so let's go!"
"Hell no! I'm only reserved for shopping with Gon, got it?!" She didn't like shopping. However if she was shopping with Gon, that'd be a whole different story. She wouldn't dare go with anyone else besides him.
"Nu uh uh~ You gotta have a mixture of variety in your life! You can't always stick to Gon like glue." Leora wagged her finger.
"I can and I will." Killua firmly huffed.
"Not today!" She slung her purse over her other shoulder.
"HAH?!" Killua gawked at her.
"Today I'm kidnapping you!" Leora proclaimed.
"You wouldn't! I'm a demon!" She protested.
"And if Gon isn't afraid of you, I have no reason to be afraid of you either~" Leora stuck her tongue out at the shorter girl and Killua steamed with fury.
Leora dragged Killua outside and slammed the door shut behind them. Gon finally woke up and wondered if he dreamt Leora and Killua fighting about food...
In the dark caverns of Alteria, the Genei Ryoudan quietly took shelter to avoid the black acid rain. Everyone began doing their own personal things to pacify themselves and kill some time.
However, Nobunaga was extremely restless today, "Can't we do anything yet Danchou?!" He wailed.
"Not yet." He licked his fingers and turned to another page of his book.
Two giant fists slammed together making a booming sound, "Nobunaga! Wanna have a brawl? I'll relieve you of you boredom!"
Nobunaga eyed at the giant that was behind him, "You'd probably win anyway Uvo, so there's no point~" He shooed him away.
"I'll let you use that sword of yours. Or maybe you can go wild~" Uvogin prompted suggestively.
Nobunaga eyed at him and smirked, "I guess I should take up on that offer-"
Before he could agree, a fist came out of nowhere and hit the wall beside him, "Remember? No fighting amongst ourselves." Phinks glared at the both of them.
"But it's just a friendly fight Phinks!" Uvogin complained. "Come on, aren't you itching for a fight? I'll take you on too!"
"If you guys want to fight, you should let me go wild instead." Feitan intervened standing up from his seat.
Shizuku also stood up, "Aww, then we should make this a friendly fight competition. I want to join in too." She pouted.
Franklin pulled Shizuku back, "Don't go suggesting ideas that would get them revved up."
"It's kinda pointless..." Machi rolled her eyes.
"We should focus on other things rather than personal entertainment. Danchou, do you see anything?" Pakunoda turned to their leader.
"Hmmm..." Kuroro flipped to one specific page and stared at it for a short while, "Shalnark." He called.
Shalnark was playing a game on his cell phone, "Huh? Do you need something Danchou?" He turned to his boss.
"I need you to head over to the human dimension for observational purposes." He began, "According to this, you're the most appropriate candidate to watch over those three."
"You're not going to kill them?!" Nobunaga whined.
"Not yet. Besides, we need Gon alive. The other two...we'll delay their demise for the time being. There's no reason to rush when they can still be of use." Kuroro explained.
"Hehh I see~ Gotcha!" Shalnark jumped down from the rock he was sitting on, "How long should I keep watch?"
"Until this ability allows me to send someone else with you." He answered.
"Oi, send me! I don't get much action." Bonolenov raised his hand...well boxer glove. Kortopi also raised his hand.
Kuroro merely smiled at them, "Give me some time. Depending on this seer ability, it will tell me the right person to send. If it's either of you two, I'll give my consent immediately. For now, I just want to see what they are up to."
Kortopi pumped his fist in the air excitedly as Kuroro closed his book with his right hand.
"Going for that Princess's ability was really a good idea though. We finally can move around more freely than we used to." Pakunoda brought up.
"Yeah," Phinks agreed. "We tried two hundred years ago, and we failed to successfully grab Neon's ability. If it wasn't for that guy we'd still be aiming for the Mythica's ancient treasury in the dunes."
Machi turned to Shalnark who was about to leave, "Hey, be careful out there. I have a feeling something might happen. Don't do anything unnecessary."
Shalnark quickly turned back, "Really? Is that your instincts?"
"Instincts." She immediately replied.
"I'll be careful then." Shalnark waved at everyone as he took his leave.
Leora breathed in the fresh city air as she spread her arms open, "Ah~ The city life! I miss shopping here!" She happily spun around to Killua.
"Can I go now?" Killua growled miserably.
"Quit being such a spoiled brat, we just got here! Now come on!" Leora went behind her and began pushing her forward.
"Okay! Quit pushing me! I'll walk on my own okay?!"
"Tch, fine..." Leora let her captive go. They walked side by side for a short while as an awkward silence came between them. Leora decided to start a conversation, "So, how did you meet Gon anyways?"
"Oh, I threaten to kill him with my claws." Killua said without any hesitation.
Leora slowly inched away from her, "That...doesn't weight well on my conscious."
"It shouldn't."
Leora cringed, "H-Hey! Kurapika told me you're a assassin so why didn't you kill him or...something?"
"I was heavily injured at the time, and he was helping me heal...S-So..." She trailed off as she began to get flustered. She remembered when she drank his blood and her face became red. She slapped her cheeks to try to get rid of her embarrassment.
"And you're not going to-"
"I won't ever hurt him!" She cut her off assuming she was going to say something around those lines. "I swear I won't! Damn it, now that I think of it, I didn't really apologize to him for that time." She felt guilty at how she previously acted towards Gon.
"She's really shy at times and that's why she gets angry, but she always loves to compete and she's really fun to be with!" Leora remembered what Gon told her the moment Killua went quiet.
"It's kinda cute when she's thinking about him." Leora laughed to herself as she patted Killua's head, "Don't worry about it, he's the kind to forgive and forget things like that."
"Really?"
"Yeah really~" Leora chuckled, "You're such a cute little tsundere aren't you?" She ruffled her hair.
Killua blinked awkwardly at the newly discovered word, "What's a tsundere?"
Leora felt as if she'd gone over this situation before...Yep, this is definitely déjà vu. Leora felt as if she was talking to Gon and wanted to bang her head to a wall, "A tsundere asking what a tsundere is? I think that's a contradiction..." Leora dragged her sigh.
"You are really weird..." She sweat-dropped.
Minutes later, they arrived at the supermarket. They went off in their own so that they can gather their own ingredients. Killua got a bit lost mid way, but then she remembered the times she shopped with Gon. He taught her what kinds of food to pick up, and all the other foods she was unfamiliar with.
She decided to make omurice since it's the only thing she knows how to make. She picked up the ingredients that Gon used the last time he made it. When she finished, she tracked down Leora's scent and found her by the dairy section. She looked down at the products in Leora's basket...
Killua was afraid to ask what Leora was planning to make.
"What? You got a problem with my choices? Huh?" Leora barked.
"Erm..." Killua mumbled. Leora's basket was filled with hot sauces, frozen pizza, mayonnaise, milk, sausages, pickles, oranges, sugar, chocolate chip cookies, and baking soda. "What ARE you planning to make with all of that?"
"Isn't it obvious?" She held up her basket, "It's going to be curry!"
Sweat profusely fell down Killua's face, "I have to make sure that Gon doesn't eat it." She thought nervously.
"What's with that look?" Leora lifted her eyebrow.
"N-Nothing? I'm just wondering what...the pizza is going to be for?" Killua shivered.
"Oh, it's for flavoring of course! What else do you think pizza is good for?" Leora shrugged.
"Are you planning to kill us?!" Killua snapped at her.
"What? I tried pizza curry once and it was da bomb! I bet you haven't tried a lot of human delicacies yet, so I am going to educate your taste buds!" Leora proudly walked over to the cashier.
"We are so dead." Killua face-faulted.
Leora paid for the food and they both exited out of the supermarket. "You wanna shop for some other stuff while we're here? You can get some new clothes if you like?" Leora offered.
"Sure. I'm tired of wearing this uniform." Killua tugged her sleeve.
"Same! At least that's one thing we can agree on." Leora laughed, "You and Gon only have the uniforms and the stuff you wore when we ran here, so let's pick up something for him too."
"I'll choose for him!" Killua happily raised her hand. She remembered when Gon chose the dress for her, so she wants to pick something that would look good on him in return.
"What are we waiting for then? Let's go!" Leora cheered as Killua walked ahead to the clothing store.
However, something odd happened.
The moment Leora was about to follow Killua, everything turned black and white as if time froze on her. The people disappeared, and everything besides Leora became grayscale, "OH MY GOD, WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?! DID I JUST DIE?!" She dropped her bags in fright of her surroundings.
"I'm too young to die! Killua? Killua come on, this better not be one of those demon trick things, because if it is, I AIN'T BUYING IT!" Leora complained as she tried to find anything that was alive and still in color. "Killua! Gon? Kurapika?!"
"Kukukukuku~" Leora heard a strange laughter in the distance, "KUkukukukuku~"
She shivered, "Okay, I'm in a freaking twilight zone that has stereotypical anime laughter in the distance. Who's out there?!" She rummaged in her bags for something similar to a weapon, "I got," She looked at what she took out from her bag. "I got oranges! Hell yeah, I'll defeat you with freaking vitamin C at your face! Now bring it!" She held it out in front of her as if it was a shield.
"I'm gonna die." Leora sobbed in thought.
"Welcome, to my lovely mini dimension~" Leora swerved her head and saw a pink hooded figure sitting behind a table. She had a crystal ball in front of her and she was in color just like Leora.
"...Lady, are you on crack?" That was Leora's first reaction.
"I assure you, I'm not on crack. Would you like to come over here and see into your future~?" She wiggled her fingers teasingly over her crystal ball.
"Hell no. I know a cliché scenario when I see one! You're a scammer for sure! I'm not wasting my money on some cheap fortune that won't come true!" Leora wasn't really a believer of those kinds of things.
"Oh too bad, I got caught~" The mysterious woman pretended to whimper. "However, my true occupation is selling wares. You see, I've been developing-"
"Nope, I'm not buying your drugs." Leora cut her off as she held up her hands defensively.
The supposedly old woman raised her eyebrow, "Do people often tell you that you're weird?"
"Y-YEAH, SO WHAT?!" Leora yelled embarrassedly.
"I see you've been dealing with demons and the supernatural as of late."
Leora went silent, "Holy shit, how do you know that? Don't tell me...You're a stalker!?"
"Must you doubt everything? I know because I can smell it on you."
"...Are you one too?" Leora asked weakly.
"Why don't you figure out yourself dear?" Leora saw a playful smile from the stranger, "But I'm being serious, look at this."
She took out a gun from her cloak and placed it on the table.
Leora tried to register the image in her head, "Errrrrrrrrrr, I'm...just a normal person. I'm not killing anyone for drugs either lady." Was all she managed to muster since she really was freaked out.
"I never said you had to kill for drugs." She began, "You see, I've been developing new kinds of bullets to work against all kinds of supernatural things. Unfortunately I cannot touch them."
Leora made a puzzled face, "I meant the bullets in the cartridge dear. Besides, my precious gem is here to protect me from any impending dangers~!" She hugged her crystal ball as if she was a child.
"So, are you saying that only I can touch those bullets?" Leora pointed at herself.
"Only non-magical beings can touch it. So yes." The woman confirmed, "I want to make a deal with you."
Leora lifted her eye brow, "What kind?"
"I want you to use this gun on something." The mysterious woman tapped her fingers on the table, "If it works, bring it back to me and I will give you 3 billion ferals."
"3 billion?! Wait, how much is that in my currency?" Leora pleaded. The sound of money was really enticing, but in the back of her head, she knew she was treading down a dangerous path if she were to accept it.
"I think it comes up to-Oh~? What is this precious baby you have on your finger? Ahh~ she looks so beautiful!" Her voice switched from an elderly old woman to a hyped up 12 year old girl. Her eyes twinkled as she took Leora's hand into hers.
Leora thought it was odd...But then again, she's been through a lot of odd things this summer.
"I don't have a-" Leora peered at her hand and realized the person meant her ring. "Oh, I got this for my birthday a couple of years back."
"Hm~ Whoever gave this to you has exquisite taste~ This jewel is purely genuine! It's so gorgeous! I just have to hold it my hands!" The person giddily squealed as she stomped her feet excitedly.
Leora sweat-dropped, "Uhh, I would but um...I don't know if I should trust a complete stranger with this." She slowly pulled her hand away from her.
"Oh heavens don't worry. Sorry about my informal behavior, I got a little carried away." The stranger coughed to regain her composure, "Do you know what that ring is called though? It looks oddly familiar; I just can't remember the name for it." Her voice became elderly once again.
"It has a name?" Leora gaped at it, "I just thought it was one of those cheap things from a $15 jewelry store-"
A crashing noise was heard from afar.
"Tch, it looks like one is here." The figure suddenly sounded younger again. She immediately ran off with her crystal ball and the table disappeared into thin air.
Leora held out her hand attempting to stop her, "Wait you forgot your gun-" She paused, "Why am I saying that...?" She noticed the sky was cracked opened. "Oh thank goodness, I'm not dead after all! But wait, why is there a hole in the sky?!" She held her hands to her head. She thought she was in a nightmare.
Lightning crashed down towards the mysterious figure Leora was talking to, but she managed to dodge it with ease.
Leora turned to see the source of the lightning and saw Killua jump to a building. She shot bolts of electricity towards the other demon, but the figure evaded them.
Bolders of earth suddenly encased the mysterious person as she temporarily left the scene. "Crap, now she's hiding from me?!" Killua's eyes shifted towards Leora noticing the earth beneath her was cracking. Killua jumped down from the building and released her wings.
"Get down!" She grabbed her and took flight to the air.
"Killua? I love you! You're my hero!" Leora cried as she hugged Killua relieved.
"You idiot! What were you...?" She paused as Killua slowly turned in the air and the two stared ahead of them.
A giant liquid being appeared before them. The head sprouted from the ground followed by a long pair of arms. It remained eyeless as it opened up its huge hollow mouth.
The girls screamed as Killua flew away to avoid them being eaten.
"We're all gonna die!" Leora clung on to Killua tighter.
"Oh shut up!" Killua barked back.
"Get em' Cookie! Do your thing gurl!" The figure cheered as she swung her hips from side to side. She was on top of another building not too far away from the scene.
"What exactly is that thing?" Killua thought in her head as they both avoided another swipe from Cookie's hand. Killua placed Leora on top of a random building and flew back down towards it, "I need to get rid of it somehow." As she hovered over the blue blob, Cookie sent out several darts of its liquid ooze towards her. She managed to evade them in the air, but a small splatter ended up on her skin. Killua seethed her teeth in pain as she landed on the ground.
There was more liquid coming towards her so she ran around to avoid it. As she flew back up in the air, she squinted her eyes, "That burn...it's gotta be holy water! But I've never seen such a huge mass of it before...let alone a living manifestation of it!" Her foot skid on the ground. She summoned a whirlpool of lightning on her fingertips and launched it towards the creature.
As the lightning made contact with Cookie, she let out a terrifying scream. Meanwhile, Killua escaped and flew back towards Leora, "YOU IDIOT?! HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET SUCKED INTO A MINI DIMENSION?!" Killua grabbed Leora by the collar of her shirt.
"DON'T ASK ME HOW! I DON'T KNOW ALL OF YOUR DEMON MAGIC JAZZ THING. I THOUGHT YOU DID IT?!" Leora defended herself.
"WELL IT WASN'T ME! THAT'S FOR SURE!" Killua yelled back.
"Cookie! Hurry! Return!" The figure called out as she held her crystal ball in the air.
The girls watched Cookie being absorbed into the crystal ball. After Cookie made it inside safely, the crystal ball shrunk in size. "What the hell? Is that a poké ball or something?" Leora was really confused.
"Wait a second, the only gem that's able to do that..." Killua muttered as she quickly took out her old list of targets. "Hey you!" She called out to the cloaked person. "You're Bisuke Krueger aren't you?"
Bisuke removed her pink cloak revealing her elaborate pink dress and her blond ponytail. "Ara ara ara~ So you've heard about moi*? I feel so happy~" She chuckled, "And who might you be?"
"Killua Zoldyck." She introduced herself. "That's the blue planet isn't it?" She pointed at the small gemstone that was laced in-between Bisuke's fingers.
"It's real name is Blue-chan! I'm not giving her away to anyone!" She stuck her tongue out at Killua as she clutched her gem. "Besides, aren't you retired? I read on the news that you found a potential mate?" Bisuke held up her cell phone. There was a small article on the screen...and Killua didn't want to look at it.
"WHY DID IT END UP IN THE NEWS?!" Killua shrieked horrified. "It must have been dad or grandfather that did it! My life is ruined!" She bent down on the floor and began to sulk.
Leora stared at Killua suspiciously, "What? Did you and Gon-"
"NOO!" She frantically got back up and shook Leora back and forth with a redden face.
"You're quite different from what I expected! Aren't you just the cutest little diamond out there~? Being on the news twice, and the media revealing your private life must be wonderful~! Hohohohoho~" Bisuke cackled at Killua's misfortune.
"If you don't shut up, I'll give myself a reason to assassinate you." Killua threaten her.
"Well it's kinda meaningless at this point. Since you and I are on the death list, none of us will benefit from any awards or ferals even if we fought to kill each other." Bisuke swung herself around and brushed off the dust from her clothes, "As much as I would love to continue this conversation, I can't keep this hidden dimension up much longer. But Cookie and I had a lot of fun~!" Her head turned to Leora, "Think about my little proposal ne? Until then...toddles~!"
Bisuke vanished and the grayscale dimension began to fade. All the colors started coming back to the city, and the buildings that were supposedly damaged by Killua's lightning strikes disappeared.
Time began moving again as the people started to walk pass Killua and Leora as if nothing happened.
"She was good, I'll give her that." Killua grunted.
"Who was that girl?" Leora asked.
"She's a demon that I was suppose to assassinate a long while ago. The gem she has is called the blue planet. She illegally stole it from a dragon." Killua explained.
"And what about that big blob thing?"
"I'm not too sure what it is exactly, but I know it's made up of holy water."
"That's like your weakness right? How can that Bisuke person walk around with that thing?" Leora was baffled.
"Don't ask me. This is the first time I've seen something like this." Killua sighed, "Besides, everything worked out alright in the end since water conducts electricity." She felt relieved that she wasn't any other element.
"And what are mini dimensions?" Leora questioned.
"They're small spaces that we can forge and manipulate with our own magic. Not all demons are capable of it though, you have to have a bountiful amount of energy to put up one in the first place." Killua shrugged her shoulders as she noticed Leora was holding something, "What's that you have there?"
"Some sort of gun. She said something about testing it on supernatural things and bringing it back to her for a billion bucks. She said only non magical beings can touch the bullets or something like that."
Killua stared at it coldly sensing a dangerous vibe from the bullets. The feeling seemed almost familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on it at the moment, "Keep it, but don't use it." She advised her.
"Huh? Why? Wait, you're letting me keep it?" Leora gawked.
"If we throw it away it'll cause trouble. If we use it, it'll cause even more trouble. Since I can't touch it, keep it somewhere safe until we figure out what to do with it. Don't tell Kurapika about this, or he'll think you're dealing with a drug lord."
"HEY!" She retorted as first but then sighed tiredly. "Ughhh my summer vacation is ruined..." She wept.
Killua patted her back, "Cheer up, at least you're not dead yet."
"Hahaha." She laughed with sarcasm. "Oh yeah, thanks for saving me back there! You were like a super hero!" Leora's eyes glistened.
"Err...Sure I guess? If you got hurt, I would be hearing a long lecture from Kurapika." She shrugged her shoulders.
"You have a point! You're actually kinda cool to be with after all. Gon was right!" She grinned.
"What did he tell you?" She eyed at her.
"Forget it. Go on, you can take Gon, he's officially yours. I approve of your strange relationship." She ruffled Killua's hair once again, "Take good care of my bro ok? I'm counting on you."
Killua glanced at her quietly and then she smiled, "Sure."
"But just because I warmed up to you doesn't mean you're going to beat me at this challenge!" She picked up her fallen bags.
Killua smirked at her, "I wouldn't have it any other way~"
They both returned to the dorms after they picked up some new clothes. After they settled in, they began the cooking competition!
Leora went first since she was the one that introduced the contest. She had to uphold her honor! Killua just shook her head as she willingly allowed her to go on ahead thinking it can't be that bad...
Unfortunately, she thought wrong.
The moment Leora combined the pizza with the oranges in the pot, there was a smoky explosion after the temperature was left on too high.
They both cleaned up Leora's disastrous curry and Killua was up next.
She managed to finish without any explosions and without calling 911 however...
"It got burnt pretty badly on one side." Leora used the fork to lift the omurice viewing the burnt side of the egg. Killua groaned embarrassedly, "Awww come on, I bet it'll taste good. You did better than me, I gotta admit."
"But..." It wasn't perfect...apparently Killua is a perfectionist.
"Come on, I lost the competition so you can do whatever you want~" Leora attempted to provoke Killua.
"Not now..." Killua muttered depressed.
Leora jerked back, "O-Oi! D-Don't get so depressed! You can always make it again!"
"But I was going to give it to Gon..." Before she went back to Alteria, she said that she would make something for him when she returns.
"Oh, so that's what this was about! He'll eat it in a heartbeat! Speaking of him, I wonder why he isn't here?"
"Beats me- Oh!" Killua jolted to the door catching Gon's scent. At that moment, Leora thought Killua was a Gon radar or something.
"I'm back!" Gon opened the door and noticed the leftover burning smell in the kitchen. "Should I ask what happened?" Gon glanced at the cleaning materials on the side.
"For your sake, Leora's and mines, you don't want to know." Killua was blunt.
"I see..." He sweat-dropped, "Since the both of you went out, I decided to go out for a bit too!" Gon took off his hat.
"Oh really? What did you get?" Leora came from behind Killua greeting Gon as well.
"This!" Gon held up a box up to the girls. He placed it on Leora's desk and opened it. It was a chocolate cake with assorted fruits on top.
"Happy Birthday Killua!" Gon cheered as he pointed at the icing writing on the cake.
"...EH?! It's my birthday?!" Killua was shocked.
"It's your birthday?!" Leora was even more shocked.
"Un, look over there." Gon pointed to the calendar that was posted on the side of the room.
Indeed it was July 7th.
Before she knew it, Gon lifted Killua off the ground, "Thank you for being born!"
Even though Killua was deliriously happy, she still couldn't help but be embarrassed at that line and his current gesture, "P-P-PUT ME DOWN! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SAY IT LIKE THAT?! THIS IS SO EMBARRASSING!" She tried squirming out of his embrace...but failed. She flopped her head on Gon's shoulder, "Fine you win." She whined and he chuckled.
"Hey, are you two lovebirds done yet?" Leora taunted.
"YES!" Killua said.
"NO!" Gon said.
"Well fine, but this meal is getting cold~" Leora pointed over to the small kitchen where Killua's dish was.
"Meal?" Gon blinked.
"J-Just put me down and you'll see..." She shyly looked away from him as he placed her back down.
"I get dibs on the cake though!" Leora raised her hand. "Let's call Kurapika over too!" She took out her cell phone and sent off a message to Kurapika.
"But wait, I have a present!" Gon took out a small purple box and handed it to Killua.
"Don't tell me you used up all of you allowance?" Leora dangerously faced Gon.
"Um...oops?" Gon weakly answered. "but it was worth it!" He paused, "I was short on change though..."
Earlier while Gon was out shopping...
"I got the cake and the present..." Gon stood by the cashier and looked at the coins he had left, "But I don't have enough to buy wrapping paper." Gon sobbed. He knew he should have brought more money, but he thought that he had enough. Maybe he didn't need the wrapping paper, but he wanted this birthday to be special to Killua.
"Oh? Are you low on cash? How much?" He heard a voice behind him.
"I need 5 cents more..." He muttered.
"Here you go." Gon turned as he saw a familiar girl with long brown hair giving him the change he needed.
"Thank you!" Gon happily took the change from her. He began to stare at the girl thinking that he knew her. "Um, are you Palm?"
"You recognize me?" Palm gasped.
"Of course! You look so different! You look pretty awesome!" Palm blushed at his compliment, "What brings you here?"
"I'm just shopping for some necessities. What about you?" Palm asked.
"I'm doing some birthday shopping!" Gon quickly checked out the wrapping paper now that he had enough to buy it.
"That's so sweet of you!" Palm smiled thinking how kind he is, "Whose birthday is it?"
"It's my girlfriend's birthday!" Something cracked inside Palm's head. "But I have to get another gift because I left the other one at home." Gon placed the wrapping paper in a bag and turned to the grief stricken Palm. "Thanks again Palm! I'll see you later!" He ran off oblivious of Palm's weary state.
Palm was left heart-broken as her legs quivered in shock. She dumped out the contents in her shopping basket and went to the back of the store. She returned to the cash register and dumped a whole set of knifes on the table.
"I want all of them!" Palm darkly muttered as the cashier shrieked at Palm's blood shot eyes.
"I felt like someone was following me on my way back. But who could it be?" Gon scratched the back of his head nervously.
"We got a present for you too! New clothes! Killua and I choose them. You're gonna love them!" Leora happily swung a bag of clothes in front of Gon's face as he quickly thanked them.
Killua took the box Gon gave to her earlier and unwrapped it. She opened it and peered inside the box, "Yo-Yo's?" Killua picked them up confused, but then she recognized the design, "Oh! These are the ones from Assassin x Assassin*! In the Island Greed arc, it was so cool when that kid used it!" Her eyes glistened.
"Yeah! I thought they would be perfect for you!" Gon beamed.
Killua awed at the yo-yo's in her hands. "T-Thank you." She smiled as a soft blush came on her cheeks.
A cheeky grin was plastered on Leora's face, "Dawww, she went deredere on you Gon~ Isn't she adorable?" She rubbed Killua's head.
"Get your hand off of me." She glared at Leora.
"EEEK!" Leora immediately pulled her hand away.
Gon giggled as he walked to the dish Leora mentioned earlier, "Is this the meal?" He asked. Leora pointed at Killua with a smirk on her face. "Uwa! Killua did you make this? You're amazing!"
"I-I'm not that great..." She flinched when she watched Gon immediately taking a bite out of it. She patiently waited for his feedback.
Gon chewed for a while and swallowed it, "It tastes great! Killua! Leora! You should try some!" Gon beamed.
"Well since you offered~" Leora grabbed a fork and ate some as well.
"Hey! It's supposed to be for-" Gon forced a spoonful into Killua's mouth before she could complain. Her only reaction was her entire face turning red realizing she was eating from Gon's fork.
Indirect kiss get~!
A chime was heard from Leora's phone as she flipped it opened, "Kurapika texted me back! He'll be here after he's done with something!" Leora held up her cell phone.
"Let's get the plates for the cake then!" Gon cheered.
Kurapika cracked his knuckles as the Amori brothers were on the ground unconscious. They were at the front of the finance office and Linssen was there as well.
Linssen tried to stop them from entering, however Kurapika showed up to his rescue. "They won't be bothering you anymore Linssen." He reassured him.
"T-Thank you Kurapika." Linssen thanked him.
"Linssen! What are you doing with those guys-" Pietro came from around the corner and saw him and Kurapika. "Huh Kurapika? What are you...?" He looked over to the side and saw the Amori brothers laying helplessly on the ground. "I assume something went down?"
"Yeah. Their group is trying to mess with everyone in the exam. They were hacking into the school system, and they were trying to get the entrants money at the same time." Kurapika explained.
"Dude..." Pietro could only gaped at them, "Is all of this true?"
Linssen nodded, "They were trying to get the passwords from me...and they were blackmailing me..."
Once again, Pietro was frazzled by all the new information, "DUDE! Why didn't you say that before?"
"I didn't want to get anyone involved...I thought I could handle it myself." Linssen exasperated.
Kurapika placed his hand on Linssen's shoulder, "How about I help out? I already know how to exploit them."
"As a member of the committee I can't let this pass either! Kurapika, let's join forces!" Pietro confidently raised his hand towards him. Kurapika looked down at his hand not knowing whether he should accept his offer or not.
Kurapika recalled that he did not like Pietro.
He did not like him.
Did not...
Leora, the rest of the members of his group, and all the other students suddenly came to his mind. As much as Kurapika didn't want to, he swallowed his pride and shook Pietro's hand. "Yeah, but this is only a onetime thing. Got it?" Kurapika smirked.
Pietro snickered, "I figured!"
Linssen formed a bright grin on his face as a new alliance was born.
Bisuke is important! I wish I could have found a way to introduce her sooner, but she'll definitely come into play later on! *v*
*Assassin x Assassin- Uhh it's this world's version of Hunter x Hunter? I just had a feeling I should use a different name for it XDD And yes Island Greed was purposely flipped from Greed Island, no need to point it out XD
*Moi is french for 'me' ...incase you're unfamiliar with French XD
If there's any Megaman battle network fans around here, just imagine Cookie as a blue version of Sandman XD
Chapter 22 and 23 might be delayed...or not. It depends, since my mom wants me to by Final Fantasy Lightning Returns XD; I'll try to get those chapters up before then hopefully! Next up is the Hunter exam! *v*
Please review if you like it and if you want me to continue!? TvT
