"Happy birthday Connor!" Phil chirped to his still growing son.

"Daddy I sleepy," Connor said rubbing his eyes of sleep from the previous night.

"I know but aren't you excited to be a big boy today?" Phil said lifting him out of his crib. "You're two years old today!"

They both trudged down the hall and into the kitchen where Dan was making pancakes.

Phil sat Connor down in his high chair before going over to peck his husband on the lips.

"Happy anniversary Phil," Dan smiled and looked over at his son who was already beginning to look like Phil. "And happy birthday to my favorite little man!" Dan said handing Phil the spatula and pecking Connor on the forehead.

"Pancake!"

"Yes sweetheart I made you special pancakes in the shape of your dinosaurs because I know you like them." Dan smiled as he went back to cooking.

Dan finished up cooking, quickly setting the pancakes on the table.

"Knock, knock!" Madeline said walking in with a huge bag.

"Well I guess we don't have to call and wake you up then do we?"

"Could I really miss my godson's birthday breakfast? Oh and look who I brought along!" She said excitedly pulling her boyfriend into the room.

"Chris, wait…this is the guy you've been staying with the past week?" Phil said ushering them inside and sitting at the table.

"But wait…oh this is not the time for this conversation. During naptime you will be explaining yourselves." Dan said before sitting down and cutting up the pancakes for Connor, knowing it was useless because either way he would need a bath afterward.

Connor clapped happily as any two year old would when given pancakes lathered in syrup and topped with whipped cream.

Everyone else grabbed pancakes from the stack on the table, topping them with assorted items and stuffing their faces.

After breakfast Dan put the now sugar high toddler into the tub for a bath while Phil went into the lounge with Madeline and Chris.

"So…when did this happen?"

"Well…about three months ago. I met Chris when I was going downtown and he bumped into me and we both said 'Piss off mate!' but then I looked at him and I kinda got startled because I recognized him. And then we found out we were actually going to the same area but taking opposite directions. Eventually he took me out for coffee and we kinda just hit it off."

"So you're saying because you're both rude you ended up getting together?" Phil laughed at the two of them, so happy curled up with one another. "But wait Chris….weren't you after PJ?"

"Well…long story short I approached him after the wedding and he told me about how he and Natalie were getting engaged and I couldn't bare knowing I had disrupted such a happy life for him so I told him congrats and I walked away. He asked me the next day what I wanted to talk to him about and I spilled anyway and he and I talked it out…turns out he had some feelings for me too but he was in love with Natalie. So we hugged it out and went about our day and then three years later this stunning beauty waltzes into my life. Really I have to thank you and Dan for taking her in."

"What am I being thanked for?" Dan asked carrying Connor into the lounge to play with his toys.

"For letting me stay with you for so long…I didn't quite realize it had been that long though."

"Hey, you pay rent on time and you're actually a great babysitter on Sunday evenings when Phil and I have to work…stay as long as you like."

"Speaking of there was something we wanted to ask you Madeline but if you say no it's okay we just…well Dan maybe you could put it better."

"Just spit it out boys, I can't say no if I have no idea what you're talking about…"

"Okay well basically Phil and I were wondering if you'd be willing to surrogate for us again…" Dan said really quickly.

"What?"

"What Dan is trying to say is we would like to add another little one to our family but the adoption agency won't take us off the blacklist despite our growing salaries. But you and Chris are dating and official now and I feel a bit awkward asking now."

Chris laughed as he watched how uncomfortable his best mates got.

"I'm honored to be your surrogate again, just because I'm dating doesn't mean I can't help out a friend. Well, if Chris doesn't mind putting up with me being a whale for nine months."

"You'll be a beautiful whale…and it's your body love I support you." Chris said kissing her cheek.

"Well I guess that's a yes then!" Madeline chirped. "And do you guys have a preference on who will be the daddy this time?"

"Dan, I want him to have a little carbon copy running around too." Phil laughed as he looked over at Connor who was mindlessly playing with his dinosaur toys and cars.

"Well I guess I have to start planning then…and Chris is gonna have to get used to condoms." She said glaring at him.

"Yes ma'am I'm gonna wrap him up!"

Dan was absentmindedly stroking Phil's knee while he listened to the conversation, he was excited about getting a new baby but his mind was on other things…mainly his need to have Phil. And have him now.

Okay guys I am so so so sorry I am a terrible author and I hope you haven't forgotten me! I know this is short but I wanted a little something posted and I may try to update again tomorrow afternoon! I promise I will be finishing this story but between my work schedule and life I'm just tired so...enough chattering I hope you like it leave a review pretty please and...yeah that's it love you guys!
