"Kendra maybe you should sit down" I heard Billy mutter but I couldn't even acknowledge him. My nerves were shot to hell and I couldn't think straight. 100 different scenarios were going through my mind all of them ending in tragedy. "Kendra honey put down LJ" Was I holding him I couldn't tell I didn't even know I was pacing the room. It had been an hour since the pack left to join everyone at the clearing. We, the imprints and elders, gathered at Emily and Sam's house for safety as the younger pack members patrolled outside. "Okay Kendra enough snap out of it." I heard Emily yell she sounded so close. "I'm sorry everyone I'm just really worried I should be there." I put LJ down and walked over to the kitchen table. "Kendra you know if you were there The Volturi would see it as a threat." Emily muttered rubbing my back. I just nodded watching my kids play with each other.

For the next hour we all kept each other busy. I still had the frightening images of my loved ones died in the field but I just had to push those in the back of my mind and focus on my kids. They needed their mother to be strong and assure them everything was okay. Jacob was so happy I agreed to marry him last night. I knew I made the right choice after everything we have been through together I still loved him unconditionally. The twins and I were having an intense game of Peek-A-Boo when we heard it: a howl. I looked up as everyone paused. We all looked unsure of what that howl meant. Did we lose someone? Did we win? What was going on?

I took a deep breath and got up. "Everyone stay here" I ordered walking out the house. It was too quiet outside it made the hairs on my neck stand up. "Brady? You out there?" I yelled but I got no response. Jasper's training came into effect when I heard a snap from the right. I didn't acknowledge the sound but walked forward away from the house. "Hello anybody" Still got no response but I could feel a presence and it wasn't a good one. I took a deep breath and walked in the forest. The suspense was killing me but I kept a steady heart rate. I didn't know if the vampire was going to follow me before attacking wanting this to be a game but I needed to keep their focus on me instead of everyone in the house. I stopped and bent down like I was tying my shoe and pulled a blade out of my sock.

I gave myself a cut on my thumb and stood up walking again. My eyes darted everywhere keeping an eye and ear out of my surroundings. I was thrown into a tree from the right damaging my shoulder blade. "Fucking shit" I muttered holding my shoulder looking around. I heard a chuckle on my left to see my opponent looking smug. "Aro said you would be tough to kill I don't see it" I gritted my teeth standing up straight. "Aro sent you?" He walked closer still smirking "He suspected you wouldn't be with the Cullens and sent a group to end you" That's when I noticed two others come into view. I took a fighting stance Jasper taught me a long time ago making sure I was aware of all three vampires. "Have at it then" All three rushed at me at once and I immediately went into a split and brought my legs around tripping one of them while kicking the other. The cocky vamp grabbed me by the neck and pushed me to the ground. "He told us not to bite you" He whispered in my ear. "You should I taste delicious" I said back trying to move. They all laughed but stopped when we heard a growl. I looked up and only saw a russet blur before the cocky vamp was ripped off me. The other two were timid now. "Time to kick ass" I muttered running to the girl vamp. She sneered at me and went for a punch but I ducked in time and roundhouse kicked her in the face. I put my wrist over her mouth "Thirsty? you should drink" I made her bite down and pierce my skin making blood come out and go down her throat. She screamed in agony as if she was being burned alive. I backed away watching her twitch in pain before her body deteriorated in front of me.

I heard a huff from behind making me turn around and find Jacob looking at me. "Seriously you couldn't leave me the other one!" I said standing up grabbing my wrist. He growled and phased in front of me. "What the hell are you doing out here in the first place!" I rolled my eyes and walked away from him. "Not now Jacob" I could feel him following me. "We got back tot he house and you weren't there your lucky Alice came back to have her vision" He ranted. "Thank you Jacob for being here but I had it." I was angry this was my chance to prove I could defend myself and here Jacob comes to save the day wait... He's alive. I turned around wide eyed in shock. "Jacob!" I ran and jumped in his arms. He was surprised for a few before he returned the hug. "Oh my god your alive wait you said Alice did she come back? Is everyone okay?" I backed up and looked for any scratches on him but I dint find any. "Baby calm down everyone is okay Alice saved the day and proved that Nessie isn't like an immortal child." I sighed in relief and gave him a kiss.

Later on that day we were at the Cullen house telling all our supporters good-bye and thanks for helping us. I was standing next to Jacob watching the twins interact with Esme. "I think we're going to be fine now" Jacob said with a grin. I was unsure if Aro sent these vamps to kill me whose to say he wouldn't try again. I was a threat to vampires and he knew it. This matter can be discussed at a later time now I just wanted to enjoy the fact that my family was safe. "Yeah we're all fine now"
