Chapter 22:
With Sakura...
"Jean! Are they here yet?" Sakura asked. She was still trying to heal her team mates wounds that Naruto had made. She felt tiered, dirty and could feel that she was running out of chakra by the minute.
"Yeah, there here. You can stop now." Jean said, grabbing on to Sakura's hand.
"No. I have to continue." Sakura said, jerking her hand away from the boy.
"Sakura, the medical nins are here. Let then take care of them."
"I said no!"
"Sakura, you're tiered and you're almost out of chakra. Rest for the time being to get your chakra back, then you can help the medical nins." Jean said, taking her hand once again.
Sakura sighed and closed her eyes. She gave up and looked at Jean.
"You should get that healed." Sakura told Jean, looking at the purple bruise he had on his neck where Deidara had grabbed him.
"It's fine. This is nothing." Jean said looking away from the pink head.
They watched the medical nins as they treated their friends wounds in silence.
After a while, Sakura laid her head against the wall and let her eyes close.
When she woke up, she found her self covered in a blanket. She looked around her and saw her friends sleeping but she couldn't find Jean and a medical nin was missing.
Sakura got up and walked to Ino.
"She's alright. One of her organs was touched but you got to her aid fast enough so it's not infected." Said the medical nin that was taking care of her blond friend.
Sakura nodded.
"Do you know where Jean is?" She asked
The medical nin nodded and pointed to the door of another room.
"He's talking with the captain of the group. You can go talk to them."
Sakura thanked her fellow ninja and silently walked to the room. She knocked on the door and entered the room.
"Excuse me.." Sakura said entering the room. She saw Jean shirtless and the captain stitching up a wound.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Sakura said bowing and was about to leave but was stopped.
"No it's alright." Jean quietly said.
"Hm. I was just about to finish." The captain said.
"I see..." Sakura said, staying at the farthest corner from the two males.
"You can come closer if you want." The other ninja said. Sakura nodded and slowly walked to the two other, her legs weak after using too much chakra and not moving them for a long time.
"Are you alright, Sakura?" Jean asked.
"Yeah. Thank you for asking." Sakura said giving Jean a weak smile.
"You look exhausted even though you slept for more than an hour." The medical nin said, giving jean a clean tee-shirt. Sakura shrugged.
"Yeah. I used a lot of chakra to keep my friends alive."
The medical nin froze then laughed.
"What is it?" Sakura asked raising and eyebrow.
"No it's nothing." The medical nin said shaking his head. "It's just that this i the first time I heard someone say 'friends' instead of 'team mates' on a mission."
Sakura smiled.
"Well I do know them from when I was really small. We where always together. And we're still are... Well except for two of us.."the pink haired said, thinking of her old team mates.
"Is it Uchiha and Uzumaki you are talking about?" The medical nin asked.
Sakura glared at the medical nin.
"Don't EVER say Naruto's name as if you like him. You villagers hate him when he didn't do anything." She hissed.
The medical nin glared back.
"Don't get me wrong, Haruno. I was one of the nins that his father trusted the most and I know what happened to the kid. I was the one that took care of him when he was a mere baby. I won't say that I know him better than you but I know exactly what happened at that moment."
Sakura shut her mouth and looked down at the floor.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but I think the others are awake." Jean said, getting off the table he was on. Sakura walked to the door that connected both room and took a deep breath.
"Take it slowly, Sakura. You don't have to tell them right away." Jean said, patting Sakura on her shoulder.
"Yeah I know." Sakura said swinging the door open. She took a quick glance at Jean who nodded and took a few steps in to the bigger room.
With Itachi and Naruto...
"Naruto.. Where exactly are we going? We passed the fire border a while ago..." Itachi asked his lover, a bit annoyed that Naruto hadn't told him anything even though he followed him.
Naruto didn't say anything and continued walking.
As Itachi had said, they had passed the border of the Fire country and they where now in the river country.
"Naruto." Itachi called out again. No reaction. "Naruto, please." he tried again. This time, naruto's head flinched side ways. The raven sighed.
"Naruto, please talk." Itachi begged. He heard Naruto sigh, the red head turned around and looked at Itachi with purple eyes.
"We're going to stay at an inn at Tani during the night, then I'll explain to you everything." Naruto simply said and turned back around and started to walk again.
Itachi didn't say anything, but just continued to follow the red head.
Hours had pasted as they continued to walk in silence. The sun was about to set when the village came in to view. To Itachi's surprise they haven't crossed path with anyone. Which he thought was kind of strange.
"Naruto..." Itachi tried again.
"Can you turn in to a crow please?" Naruto asked, turning around to face Itachi.
"...Fine" Itachi sighed and did what his lover told him to do. He turned in to his crow form and soared high up in the sky, crowing to let Naruto know even though he didn't need to be told, he knew that Itachi would follow him.
Naruto entered a small in a bit away from the main part of the village.
"Good after noon sir." A young girl said, smiling at Naruto.
"Good after noon miss." Naruto said, " I would like a room for two, please."
"Sure. For how many nights?" The girl asked.
"One night. One night is fine. How much would be that?" Naruto asked, a bit annoyed.
"That would be 100 yens sir." The girl said. "But, may I ask some thing, sir?"
"What is it?" Naruto asked.
"You asked for a room for two right?"
"Yes..." Naruto slowly said.
"Well is the second person coming later or not?" She asked.
"Yes, he is... But may I asked something too?" Naruto said, with a sadistic smile.
"Yes, sir." The girl smiled brightly.
Naruto smile widen. He leaned to the girl and whispered in to her ear.
"Do you know... Itachi Uchiha?" he asked.
"No.. I do not." The girl blushed.
"Good." Naruto said, backing away. "I'll be right back then."
The girl nodded while Naruto went outside and went in to thee back.
"Itachi." Naruto called out. A crow swooped down o, to Naruto's shoulder.

"You can turn back in to your human form now. The girl doesn't know who you are. Anyways, she wants to see you."
The crow shook his head.
Naruto sighed. "Itachi please. You can take off your akastuki cloak, your head protector and your ring."
Itachi hesitated and finally gave up. He turned back in to his human form and glared at Naruto.
"I'm never doing this again." He hissed.
"Fine." Naruto said and walked to the front of the inn with out another look not word to his lover.
Itachi looked confused. What made Naruto in such a mood?
They entered the inn and went to the counter.
"Miss, here's the person I'm staying with. Now can we please go to our room now?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, sorry sir. Please this way." the girl said, taking a key and leaving the counter.
"Thank you." Naruto said irritated.
Once the got in to their room and the girl left, Naruto flopped down on the bed him and Itachi shared.
"Naruto, now tell me where are we going." Itachi said, untying his hair.
"We're going to meet Gaara." Naruto said sighing.
"Oh.. It's almost time.."Itachi mumbled to himself.
"Yeah..Almost."Naruto said.
Itachi sighed this time and laid down next to Naruto, taking the red head by the waist and pulled him to his chest.
"What you need to know. Is that someone will never let you go.'' Itachi murmured in to Naruto's ear.
Naruto chuckled. "I know veryone will let me go at some point, Itachi."
"No. What you need to know is that I'll never let you go." the crow said sadly. He really wanted Naruto to know that he really did love him.
"Itachi, please stop." Naruto said, his voice trembling.
"No. I won't stop telling you that you're the one in my life. That I love you. That I won't ever let you go." Itachi insisted, squeezing his lover close to his chest.
Naruto started crying and sobbed against the taller mans' chest, clinging to him like he was about to die and he was to never see him again.
"I love you Naruto." Itachi whispered. "I love you. I love you. I love you."
"I love you too Itachi." Naruto hiccuped. "I really love you too Itachi. I'm sorry for everything I just said."
"It's okay. I know you're afraid." the red heads' lover said.
"I am. I'm afraid to lose my memories of you. But what I'm terrified is to lose you. I'm just terrified, Itachi!"
"I'm also terrified Naruto. I'm also terrified to lose you. To die and to lose against my brother." Itachi said.
"Sasuke? Why would you be afraid to lose against Sasuke?" Naruto asked, looking up at Itachi.
"Because you can fall for him." Itachi said, looking back to his lover.
"Itachi. We're married. Why would I fall for Sasuke. I love you first. I do lo love Sasuke. But only as brother. Nothing else." Naruto said, kissing Itachi on the lips.
Itachi smiled against Naruto's lips and kissed him back, liking his lips.
