Here's some lighter stuff for all of you who read the previous chapter.
There are good and there are bad days - but let's remember there will always be the good ones even if it doesn't seem like it right now.

Characters are not mine.

The following days went by quickly. They had managed to talk about everything, including the horrible family dinner and Maura's feelings.

Since Jane had told Maura about Casey they didn't even touch anymore. There were little kisses, but Jane seemed to have ripped opened an almost healed wound and the hurt was back with full force. They even talked about their relationship, and settled on staying just friends for now.

On Saturday they returned. It was already evening and so they just called Angela, telling her they were home safe. They parted ways that night, both planning on sleeping in their own apartments.

It didn't work out that easily.

Maura was tossing and turning in her bed, worrying and thinking about how the brunette was doing, not wanting to call her, being afraid Jane could think she didn't trust her.

Jane was sitting on her couch, pants down, the orange box in front of her. For the first time since she started harming herself she was sure she would never do it again. She looked at the wounds, stitches still holding them close, and promised herself to never do it again. She tried a few techniques Maura had written down for her, and even found one that worked well.

Finally she decided to go to bed. She would ask Maura for a good therapist the next day.

Maura woke up to someone knocking on her door. She almost didn't hear it, but the faint noise crept its way into her consciousness. Combing her hair while going down the stairs she hoped it would be Jane.

She opened the door and there she was.
Jane smiled at her.

Relief washed trough the blonde. "Jane, what are you doing here so early?" The sun had barely risen. Jane's smile grew bigger. "I really liked going for walks with you every evening. I wanted to ask if you would join me for one more?" Maura looked at her, confused. "You do know that it is morning, do you?"

Jane giggled. "Yes,but we can't go tonight because of family dinner and I want to talk to you without Ma snooping around." "Sure, just let me get dressed." Jane waited outside while Maura got ready and she actually didn't need as much time as usual.

They grabbed coffee and breakfast on their way and decided to walk through the park. Jane was in a very good mood that morning and even smiled at strangers. Maura didn't know whether she should be happy or extremely worried. "Would you mind telling me why you are in such a good mood today?"

Jane stopped walking. "Why? Don't you like me that way?" "I do, I was just wondering...", she said, looking down. "Hey I was just joking Maur." Jane couldn't believe that Maura still didn't understand jokes. Jane grabbed the hem of her t-shirt and pulled it up, revealing her belly. There were blue lines drawn all over it. For a moment the doctor didn't understand, but then she smiled.

"It worked?", she asked hopefully. Jane nodded eagerly. "I felt like doing it again and looked at my thighs and for the first time I felt like I would never do it again, no matter how I feel. I really plan on never doing it again and I wanted to ask you if you knew a good therapist. I want to do this. For me."

They both smiled at each other. Maura took Jane's hand in hers and squeezed it. Immediately she took her phone out and began scrolling through her contacts. After a minute she handed Jane the phone. "Dr Theresa Breen. She is amazing. She helped me to communicate with people. You will like her." Jane squeezed the blonde's hand in return.

"She usually works from Mondays to Fridays, but I can call her on weekends, too." Jane thought for a moment. It was all going so fast again, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to get over with it today so she wouldn't back out. "Ok", she simply said. Maura talked with Dr Breen for a few minutes before telling Jane they would meet her for lunch.

Jane was nervous, but looking forward to meeting a seemingly good friend of Maura's.
