greygirl2358- You're learning that Jonathan has even bigger problems then everyone thought. He feels somewhat betrayed. His dad stopped beating him -or as Jonathan saw it- Valentine stopped loving him when Clary was old enough to train. So he looks as it as his dad loved Clary more for beating her. When he sees red things seem to start triggering the past feelings and thoughts his tried so hard to hide from everyone. So yes he blames Clary, or at least some part of him does. Their lips were locked together once again. Alec's lips were still swollen from the numerous kisses Magnus and him shared.

"Good morning." Magnus finally spoke breaking apart from Alec.

"Good morning." Alec smiled.

"Hummm...your morning voice is so sexy." Magnus laughed.

"Well I'm glad you think so."

"I'm glad you decided to stay over." Magnus winked. After they're little tisk in the greenhouse Magnus had invited Alec out for dinner. Alec smiled at the memory of they're greenhouse kiss.

"How long do you think it's going to take for Jace and Clary to figure us out?"

"Clary knows. Jace… Maybe a while." Magnus smiled. Alec sat up quickly.

"What do you mean Clary knows?"

"She walked in on us yesterday in the greenhouse. Did you not hear her?" Magnus asked.

"I didn't. I was kinda busy with my boyfriend." Magnus pushed himself off the bed and away from Alec.

"Is that so?" He asked.

"Yes."

"You've actually never asked me. What makes you think that I'll say yes?" Magnus joked. Alec looked slightly hurt.

"Why wouldn't you?"

"Because you're too busy pining over Jace."

"What?" Alec yelled, just before Magnus could leave the room.

"Seriously Alec. Everyone but Jace can see it. You can't be that naive." Alec laughed.

"If I'm so naive then why am I with you? Why did I stay the night with you?" Alec asked.

"I'm not sure Alec. But I will tell you this...I am not Jace, nor will I ever be." Magnus began to walk away again. Only to be stopped in his tracks.

"I love you Magnus and I want to be with you." Magnus slowly turned around to realize that Alec was now behind him. Alec smiled and pulled Magnus toward him, embracing him.

"I love you too." Magnus replied, smiling.

"I know. So…"

"What?" Magnus asked, letting Alec go.

"Wanna help me tell Izzy?"

"And Jace?" Magnus added.

"I don't know if he's ready for that."

"Him or you?" Magnus asked. Alec looked down at his feet.

"That's what I thought." Magnus added, finally leaving the room, with Alec standing there speechless, still looking down at his feet.

Later that day

"Seriously how many times do I have to say sorry Magnus?"

"You don't have to say it at all Alec."

"Then what do you want from me? You've given me the cold shoulder since this morning."

"Like I said before...just tell Jace."

"Why?" Magnus laughed.

"Because that's what I want. You don't get it. It's so hard to be this old and be in love with someone who thinks they still have a chance with someone who's never and I mean NEVER going to look at them the same way. He has Clary, Alec. He isn't into you. Hell you can't even be with him. You're parabitti Alec, it's forbidden. So tell him." Magnus yelled. Alec slumped down onto Magnus' couch. He looked up at Magnus through his deep blue eyes.

"You're right, he's never going to want to be with me. But am I not allowed to love more than one person?" Alec mumbled. Magnus gave Alec a side glance.

"Yes Alexander." Alec felt taken back by the use of his full name. How could he get Magnus to understand that he would never lose feelings for Jace. That some part of him would always love him. Magnus has had many, many relationships before him and Alec could almost guarantee that Magnus still had love for at least one of them.

"I'm sorry. I am not ready to tell Jace." Alec finally answered. Magnus peered up at Alec.

"Then I am not ready to further our relationship. I do not like to feel as though I am competing for your heart. I want it to be completely mine. If you can not give me that than I can not be with you Alexander, for you have the entirety of my heart. I wish you gave me the same." Alec lost his breath for a moment. The entirety of Magnus' heart was his. He knew this. Yet he still could not bring himself to give his away so quickly.
