Hey guys! I know it's been a while but I'm back with a new chapter! So I hope you like Chapter 21, enjoy :)
"Well… I was thinking… Maybe you and I could go for Dinner after I get ready…" he asked. She could tell he was nervous by the look he was giving her. She nodded and smiled when she saw a huge smile on his smile.
"Yes… but hurry up before I change my mind" she joked but laughed when his face turned serious.
"You're joking right?" he asked with a worried look on his face.
"Yes big man, now hurry up!"
Rose took a deep breath as she watched him walk away, finally letting her tense body relax. She had to admit that she was very nervous, and that was an understatement. She hadn't been on a date with Joe since forever, last date she had been on had been with Steve. Which put her to think a little, why was she doing this? Was she ready to take this step? She knew she had done nothing but doubt things, doubt Joe, but the thought of getting hurt again scared her so much. She shook all the negative thoughts away and went to find Maia, Joe's parents and Summer. She needed to see her baby girl before this huge step she was going to take.
Rose smiled and shook her head when she saw Summer jogging over to her with a smile on her face. "What happened? Tell me everything!" Summer asked excitedly.
"Well... he asked me out to dinner..." Rose started and laughed seeing Summer nod impatiently signaling Rose to keep going. "And?!" Summer asked.
"I said yes!" Rose said with a huge smile on her face
Summer smiled and pulled Rose into a tight hug, she was so happy Rose was finally giving this a chance. She had talked to her mom about the whole Rose situation, and she knew her mom also wanted Joe and Rose back together. This was the first step to hopefully them finding their way back to each other.
"Aw Rose that's great! Are you nervous? I mean, you've gone out with Joe before so you shouldn't be..." Summer said reassuringly.
"That's the reason why I AM nervous Summer! It's been so long since I've gone out with him, since I've been alone with him.. on a date.." Rose said as she got more and more nervous.
Summer smirked and looked at Rose, "So you're saying this is a date..." she asked
Rose realized what she said and blushed looking down, "Well I-" Rose started but was interrupted by the deep, husky voice she knew too well.
"It is most definitely a date Summer" Joe answered with a smirk as he looked at Rose's reddened face. "You ready to go Rose?" he asked.
"Uh, well I actually thought we could stop by the hotel so I could change" she answered looking down at her Roman Reigns T-shirt and her jeans.
Joe chuckled and nodded, "That's fine, let's say bye to our baby girl so we can start heading out"
Rose nodded and walked with Joe and Summer to where Maia and their parents were. She bent down with her arms open and smiled seeing Maia running to her. "Mama!" she exclaimed and wrapped her tiny arms around her mom.
"My adorable sweet girl, did you have fun tonight?" Rose asked as she looked at Maia.
"Yes mama" she said and looked up to her dad, "I loved seeing daddy win!" she added and ran to her father's arms.
Joe smiled and kissed Maia's head as he wrapped his arms around her, "And I loved having you here munchkin" he said.
Maia snuggled up to her father and closed her eyes feeling herself get sleepy. Rose smiled and went to kiss her forehead. "Aww, is my baby sleepy?" she asked.
"Yes mommy" Maia answered as she rubbed her eyes and yawned. Patty smiled and went to carry Maia, "Don't worry kids, we will take her back to the hotel so she can sleep. You go and have fun" she said reassuringly.
"You sure mom?" Joe asked
"Yes, now go! Have fun" Patty assured them
"Thank you Mama Tricia" Rose said and they both said their goodbyes, kissing their baby girl goodnight, and began heading to the parking lot.
Rose instantly felt many eyes on her and saw flashes everywhere as she stepped out to the parking lot with Joe. She could hear fans screaming his name over and over again while others wondered who she was. She quickly got in the passenger seat and waited patiently as Joe put his bags in the trunk and got in the car.
"You okay?" he asked
"Yeah.. let's just go to the hotel" she said and gave him a reassuring smile. She closed her eyes and let out a long breath, mentally preparing herself for this long night.
Rose looked at her reflection in the mirror and wondered if she was dressed right for the occasion. Was she trying too hard? Or did she have to try harder? She shook her head and looked at herself for a little longer. She smiled loving her black strapless dress and gold pumps. She finished the look with her gold jacket and walked out to the living room, ready to go.
As soon as Rose walked out of the bedroom, Joe knew he wasn't going to be able to look away. She looked beautiful, no, that was an understatement. She looked perfect.
"Ready to go?" she asked, snapping Joe from his thoughts
"Uh, yeah. Yeah let's go" he said as he stood up and put his hand on her lower back, guiding her to the door.
This was going to be a very long night for him. He hoped for everything to go smoothly so this can happen more often. He really wanted this to work with Rose, he wanted a second chance for them. He just hoped she felt the same way. He already knew, he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He was going to do everything he could to prove that to her tonight.
