Chapter Twenty One- Who Wants To Live Forever?
Valerie POV
I was getting weaker and weaker by the minute and Elena began to notice my skin started to get pale Elena puts her hand on my arm and shakes me to stay awake she shakes me several times before Alaric notices.
"What's wrong? Is Valerie getting sleepy?" he grabbed the jar of vervain and walked towards me Caroline and Elena's head watched him walk towards me he raised my chin up and made me open my mouth and started and smiled at Elena "This should keep her awake."
"Alaric, DON'T!" she pleaded but he had started pouring the vervain down my throat I started crying and kicking my legs when I tried to spit out when he covered my mouth and forced me to swallow I could feel my throat burning and I started gagging I started to throw up blood Elena and Caroline started to cry my blood ran down my chin dripping onto my pants he took the pencils out of my hands and pushed me out of my seat and I was so weak from the torture he grabbed my arms and pulled me to the wall until I was sitting upright
"From how much vervain you just ingested should make your throat bleed and burn for the next several hours. And I tell you right now, that it will extremely painful." he moved away but I didn't move
"Why are you doing this?" Elena shouted at him and he turned to her
"Because you need me. Because you're an eighteen year old girl without parents, or guidance, or any sense of right or wrong anymore."
"Look at you! How is this right?" she pointed to Caroline "How is that right?" she pointed to me and Alaric gave me a glance before turning back to her
"She's a murderer." he said about Caroline "She told me she killed someone and liked it. Now how is that right? Your parents led the council it was there life's mission to keep this town safe. They weren't dead six months before you undid it all. And Valerie is the sister of the man that murdered your aunt, controlled Stefan, and he even killed you, you may not be able to see it or just ignore it but Valerie is a killer one way or another "
"You don't know anything about my parents or Valerie." (I added Valerie since Alaric is evil Alaric and wants to show Elena that if the entire Mikaelson family are evil no matter what)
"Why am I wrong? Do you actually think that they'd be proud of you? If you don't side with the humans… your just as bad as them. No kill her! Or I'll do it for you. And I'll make it hurt." he walked to over to me yanked me up by the neck and pushed me towards a desk and forced me to sit down and yanked Elena by the arm towards me placing the stake in her hand she started to cry when I placed my right hand on the desk and moved it slowly which was very painful Elena saw it hurt and held my hand she then raised the stake and tried to stab Alaric who caught her wrist and yanked her to him "I thought I taught you better than that." I saw Elena grab something from behind Alaric
"You did." Elena said and broke a glass against his face Elena ran to Caroline and pulled out the pencils as Alaric screamed in pain, Elena took the gag off of Caroline "Get help." Elena said before grabbing me and we ran to the door but not before Alaric got in our way and he threw me over his shoulder and yanked Elena by her arm pushing her to the lockers and took my off his shoulder grabbed me by the neck hard until I started gasping he threw me into the lockers behind him I winced and laid on the floor watching him grab Elena by her throat.
"I should kill you. I should gut you like Brian Walters, Bill Forbes, and all the other cowards that I plan on ripping apart. Your the worse of them all Elena, you don't deserve to live."
"So then why am I still alive? There's obviously no humanity left in you so what's stopping you Alaric? If you want me dead, then kill me. Do it kill me!" he let her go and she started gasping she looked really confused. I saw two figures which were Damon and Stefan that then grabbed Alaric, Elena ran grabbed me and lifted me up while I then threw up some blood Elena softly cried and sat me down near a door and running into the classroom I saw Klaus fighting with Alaric when I saw Klaus about to get stabbed I went to my stomach and started to crawl towards them my body was in so much pain it started rejecting everything I wanted to do.
"STOP!" I heard I looked over my shoulder and saw Elena standing with a scalpel in at her throat "Or I kill myself."
"Put it down, Elena." Alaric said not moving away from Klaus
"Why? Because you still need me alive? There's a reason why Esther used me isn't there?" Alaric turned to face her "She didn't want you to be immortal, so she tied your life to a human one. Mine! That way you only have one life-span to kill all vampires and then you'll be gone. So when I die you do too, that's it. It has to be."
"You're wrong." Alaric said
"Am I?" I saw her cutting the side of her throat
"Stop! Stop!" he stood and Klaus pushed him before taking Elena with him I looked back at Alaric and he ran after them. Stefan and Damon woke up and started groaning when I grabbed onto the wall and started to lift myself up Stefan ran to me.
"You okay?" I shook my head "Where's Elena?"
"Kla-" I puked up more blood and started to feel my knees go out Damon ran to me
"Klaus took her." I puked more and nodded
"Alaric… he… he went after… them" I pointed to the door
"Alaric must have done something she can barely walk or talk." Stefan said and picked me up bridal style before I closed my eyes and went to sleep. I heard the doors open and shut when I opened my eyes I saw Damon getting out of the driver's seat and Stefan getting out of the passenger's seat I sat up and leaned my head back when I heard voices
"Huh… you two are really gonna walk me all the way to the door, aren't you?" I turned my head to see Elena and the boys following behind her
"Lost a lot of blood today."
"Yeah I know, but I told you I'm fine… I just have a little headache."
"Yeah, but the sun is about to go down and Rick is going to be able to terrorize the streets at any minute."
"Yeah, but he can't hurt me. It's you two that should be worried about."
"Yeah. Won't be able to find us. I'll uh… we'll call you when we get back, okay?"
"I know it's selfish, I know that it seems that I'm stringing you both along, but I… I don't know what I'm supposed to do I mean… if I choose one of you then I lose the other and I've lost so many people. It's just… I can't bear the thought of losing one of you."
"It's uh… It's been a long day"
"Yeah. We'll call you from the road. After we dump Klaus' body in the Atlantic."
"Just be careful both of you. Including Valerie make sure she's okay. She went through a lot of trouble today for Caroline and I." I saw Damon and Stefan walking back to the car and they jumped in the seats
"And the baby original is awake." Damon says his voice seemed louder than before giving me a bigger headache
"And this baby original is going to kick your ass lower your voice. I bet this is what a hangover feels like." I say Stefan chuckles and Damon gives a smirk "Where are we going?"
"Well your staying at our place and we are dumping Klaus' body so Alaric won't get close." Stefan said "Then we have to deal with Alaric."
"Yay." I said "I'm gonna strangle that bastard." I leaned back in my seat I walked inside and waved to the boys before locking the door but as soon as I locked it I grabbed some silver paint and a piece of the broken chair and begin shaping it until it looked like Alaric's dagger and began painting it making sure it was exactly right and that the area were well made. After it was done drying I picked it up and raised it into the light showing how it looked I smiled.
"Looks like Alaric is not the only one with a stake." I twirled it around I placed it in my jacket and walked upstairs shutting the door and hid it under my bed and went under the covers to stare at the ceiling placing my hands behind my head and closed my eyes thinking about my plan to bring Alaric down oh… yes I'm the best and I will beat Alaric.
