"Gray!" Natsu yelled breathlessly as he reached the top of the stairs before turning right on to the hallway, seeing the raven at his dorm door with a cardboard box in his hands
"Gray" he cried again, tears filling his eyes as he raced towards him, he couldn't let him go, he couldn't be alone, he needed Gray as much as he needed the air around him to breathe, the raven was everything to him
Gray turned, hearing Natsu calling his name. He placed his head down, unable to look at the young pinkett after seeing him so embraced with Loke.
"Please wait, please" Natsu begged, grabbing Gray's shirt "I can't...I can't lose you Gray" the teen sobbed, unable to hold his emotions.
"You have Loke….I'm sure you won't even notice I'm gone…" Gray mumbled
"W-What?" Natsu stuttered "Loke? H-He's just my friend why are you bringing him up?"
"I saw you….I saw you with him, cuddling"
"Cuddling? We weren't cuddling he was just trying to calm me down because I was worried about what would happen to you. Once I saw you I moved away and called you….wait is...is that why you were crying Gray?"
"No I don't cry" the raven denied as he turned his head away
Natsu's lips curled into a small smile, he pulled Gray's shirt which caused the teen to slowly move forward. Natsu tip toed up, placing a small, soft kiss on the older teens cheek.
"You're not a very good liar, idiot" he teased
Gray turned his head back around and looked into Natsu's innocent green eyes and smiled back at him, his dark sapphire eyes lightening up from the sun which was shining through the hall window next to them.
Natsu broke the silent stare between them by looking down at the box the raven was holding, he peered into it seeing a few random items and some pictures, pictures of Sting and Gray. Natsu looked back up, raising his eyebrow slightly as he pointed into the box.
"What's all that?" he asked curiously
Gray's eyes shifted downwards, he sighed and placed the box down on the floor. He lifted his arm up and scratched the back of his neck while turning and looking out of the window.
"Just some things…" he mumbled, not seeming to want to give the pinkett an answer
Natsu looked up and gazed over at where Gray was looking, Sting was leaving the school grounds along with Mirajane and another teen which he didn't recognize.
"He's being removed from the school" Natsu said as he watched the trio climb into a silver car before driving off down the pebbled drive
"Yeah…" Gray mumbled again as he watched the vehicle slowly make its way out of the tall, double metal gates
Natsu looked back down into the cardboard box, as he looked over all the little things inside of it he began to realise what is was, it was all the things from Gray's relationship with Sting. Everything they had ever given one another, wrote or made was all in the box. Natsu bit his lip and looked away, he realised that Gray was most likely throwing all these things away, the young pinkett then began to think about him and Gray, worried thoughts started to race through his mind.
What if I end up like Sting? What if Gray finds someone else and he throws away all the things I gave him, what if he falls out of love with me and doesn't ever want to see me again
"Are you alright?" Gray asked, pulling Natsu out of thought
"Y-Yes" Natsu lied
Gray looked down at the box and then back up at Natsu, he sighed and shook his head.
"I'm throwing it all away Natsu"
"N-No!...I mean you don't have to"
"What?"
"I know y-you loved him so its ok to k-keep things that give you memories of the happier times between you and Sting"
Gray stared blankly at the teen, he rolled his eyes and shook his head
"You idiot" he laughed "I don't want to keep a hold of any of these things….yes they hold memories but they're ones I don't want to remember"
"B-But…."
"Natsu I have you now, you're my future, you're the one I want to be with, forever...you're the one I want to make memories with"
"But what if you fall out of love with me, w-what if you end up throwing away things I give y-you" Natsu blurted, he didn't want to sound pathetic but he couldn't hide his fears
"What? Why would you think something like that? I would never throw anything you gave me away" Gray assured
"You could, you never know"
"I can prove it" Gray smiled
"Huh?" Natsu tilted his head, a little confused, he'd never given Gray anything
"I still have the drawing of the little dragon you did when we were in our first year of high school"
"What?…."
"And I still have the pencil you leant me in art"
"Hey! You should have given me that back, it's called borrowing for a reason Gray!" Natsu pouted and crossed his arm causing the raven to laugh
"And I have one of your socks"
"You have my sock? H-How?"
"You left it once in P.E, so I took it"
"That's kind of creepy Gray, stealing my footwear! Do you have a foot fetish or something" he teased
"No" Gray shook his head, smiling
"Well you can give it me back the other sock is missing its partner"
"Alright, haha, you can have your stinky sock back" Gray teased, grabbing the boy and pulling him towards him
"Dam right!" Natsu nodded with a grin
"But, you'll have to give me something in return" Gray leaned forward, lifting his arm up before cupping Natsu's now blushing cheek
"I don't have anything worth holding on to"
"Everything of yours is worth something to me"
"Why do you have to get so sappy Gray" Natsu giggled nervously as he looked into the ravens beautiful sapphire eyes
"Because that's what you do to me Natsu Dragneel" he smiled before slowly leaning in and gently kissing the teen's trembling, warm lips
Natsu's eyes fluttered closed as he melted into the kiss, his body shivered under the raven's light touch, his million and one thoughts coming to one single pause.
No matter what happens I will always have him, even if he stops loving me I know I could never stop loving him, he is my world, he is everything to me...
