Chapter 21. Shatter

His sharp orb eyes glow in the dark as he carefully watch the woman who came inside the room. He could see it was her. However he was being caution because her scent wasn't hers. He had smelled and remembered her scent…but this scent he smells was that dangerous bastard's stench. The others around him also smelled that bastard's stench from her and hesitated to attack her. She was totally off guard and just crying. It was a perfect timing to attack her. However the scent they smell made them hesitate and caution. What if she is just an illusion in disguise and this was a trap? He had fooled them countless of time so they couldn't help but be extremely caution.

However they couldn't hesitate any longer since she finally noticed them. The others growled and instinctually started to attack her. However he didn't attack and stay still, hiding in the dark. He watched the woman dodging their sharp teeth and claws. She was surprise of their unexpected existence and sudden attack. However it seemed like her position of the Vongola Mist Guardian wasn't just a name. She was able to avoid their fast attacks and even counterattack them in the vital parts. He could see she was used to fighting unexpected enemies. But why isn't she using illusion? She was an illusionist and those damn illusionists usually fights with illusions and most of them don't even know how to fight physically.

He carefully started to examine her and noticed she was exhausted for some reason. Her moves were heavy and her breath was uneven. He concentrated on her scent again. He could still strongly smell that damn bastard's scent on her…but soon he noticed he could also weakly smell her own scent. His sharp orb eyes widen as he realized her scent was actually covered on that bastard's scent. He couldn't help but let out a snarl. He easily realized what this meant.

That woman had slept with Rokudo Mukuro just a few hours ago. Based on the strong scent she has on her body…it must have been a long night. He scratched the floor with his sharp nails, thinking what to do. The scent on her body was pretty much of evidence that Rokudo Mukuro cares her. His boss wanted her alive…but he was feeling a huge urge to just kill her. More correctly, kill her painfully and slowly in front of Rokudo Mukuro and watch him suffer in pain and despair. It would be a priceless moment.

His muscle tensed as he waited for the right moment to pounce and rip her neck. He wanted to taste her blood and feel her pounding vein and heavy breath in his mouth. Play with his prey's life and feel the power of having someone's life in control. She was an easy and weak prey right now…unlike yesterday. Still, she was able to keep up the fight with those failures. But unlike them, he was a success experiment subject. In this form, he could easily kill her. Especially when those failures were quickly making her weaker.

He was ready to pounce when suddenly he smelled some familiar scents and heard running footsteps. He growled in irritation. They were faster than he thought. His instinct was telling him to run away…and he did. He quickly got outside by the window. It was the fifth floor but it wasn't a problem to climb up the building with his claws. Instead of running away further, he hide himself somewhere near not far from the woman's guest room. There will be a chance to attack her once again. He just needed to carefully wait.

Chrome knocked down one of the attackers to the floor. She could finally see the close glance of her attacker's appearance. The man had sharp teeth and claws. His hand and face had hair which looks just like fur. Her heart pounded at the man's appearance. Not because of the animal like appearance… Because it was actually a very familiar sight to her. This man and those other attackers…look very similar like Ken when he was in one of his animal channels. The difference were they look and act more like a real animal than Ken.

The animal looking attackers made an aggressive growl to Chrome as they couldn't give a major injury to her. Chrome only had some scratches on her body. It was making them irritated. Some of them let out a loud roar and suddenly flames came out from their hands. Some of them whine as it seemed like the flame was actually giving them pain. Most of their flame was Storm or Lightning flames. The best flames for destruction.

Chrome flinched when she saw the flames covering their hands and claws. She had seen something familiar like that too…when she dreamed of Mukuro's childhood. She had seen little Chikusa crying in pain as flame was coming out from his arm and leg. Could this be a coincidence? Her heart felt cold as she realized where these attackers came from. But how is this possible? Weren't they all killed? Or maybe not… In Mukuro's memories, Chrome never seen or heard the Estraneo boss or his son Lex and some of the executives and high rank members die. Did this mean the survivors of the Estraneo Famiglia were still out there even till now? But why are they after her? Chrome felt a cold thrill as a theory came inside her head. Mukuro…why did he suddenly show up on her birthday after 10 years? Why did he act so actively and bold to suddenly have a relationship with her. Could this mean she was actually used as…

Lost in her thoughts for a moment, Chrome realized a bit late that the animal looking attackers pounced at her and swing his claws at her neck. Chrome immediately back away but she couldn't completely dodge the claws. Chrome felt a pain on her neck. She quickly kicked the man away and touched her neck. Chrome could feel warm blood from her neck but luckily her wound wasn't deep. The claw had hit the amethyst necklace so her neck was able to avoid a major injury from that attack. The necklace was broken and scatter to the floor but it had protected her neck getting rip off.

Chrome felt a cold chill as she almost got killed just a second ago. Chrome took out a tired and rapid breath. She was currently very tired and she was unable to use her flame or make any illusion. She was already exhausted the moment she came into this room. Her body felt very heavy. She needed to run away from here but it wasn't easy since she was surrounded by them. Chrome tried to think of a way to escape. But when something came into her eye, her thoughts stop and her body froze in disbelief and shock. The animal looking men didn't lose this moment. They all attacked Chrome at once and they finally knock her to the floor and one of them was able to bite her arm.

Chrome could see sharp claws covered with Storm flame, heading to her neck. It was too late to dodge… She wasn't even able to move. Chrome expected an enormous pain from her neck, but instead she saw a familiar trident knocking off the man.

"Chrome!"

Mukuro furious attacked the animal looking Estraneo members with his trident. In just less in a minute few were killed or heavily injured. They back away in fear as they instinctually felt Mukuro was too dangerous. Mukuro quickly looked at Chrome. His heart dropped as he saw her bleeding and a pretty much amount of blood was dripping from her. He wanted to kneel down next to her and carefully treat her wounds. His heart was pounding fast with anxiety. However he needed to take care of the Estraneo members first.

Mukuro cursed. Why now of all times? He was currently in his worst condition. He hasn't mentally recovered from Chrome's pregnant news and he was physically exhausted and his flame was too weak to make strong illusion. Mukuro kicked away one of the man who pounced at him to attack. Mukuro knew those hands covered with flame was dangerous. Based on his current condition, Mukuro needed to be caution while fighting them. However Mukuro couldn't fully focus right now. He was too worried of Chrome and wanted to see her wounds.

Why did he ever think of using her as bait to lure out the Estraneo Famiglia? He knew Chrome could get seriously hurt and he selfishly didn't care about it when he came up with the plan. Mukuro desperately wanted to kill his past-self. Seeing her hurt and bleeding because of his plan…his heart felt like ripping apart with guilt and worry. The Estraneo members realized Mukuro wasn't fully focused on them. Their animal instinct was telling them this fight wasn't impossible to actually win. They all growled and started to attack Mukuro.

Chaos was filled in the room. Mukuro killed a few more of them but they didn't back away again. Instead they realized Chrome was Mukuro's weakness and some started to attack Chrome. Mukuro tried to protect Chrome but that made the enemies have their chance. The others attacked Mukuro and some of them success at hurting him. The injury wasn't major but it gave the Estraneo Famiglia courage to keep on fighting. Also…they realized…Mukuro was a highest class dangerous beast, but also currently an exhausted and wounded beast trying to protect his injured mate.

Mukuro frowned. This wasn't the time to fight with these creatures! He needed to see Chrome's wound and treat her injury. At the look of her bleeding, it wasn't a minor wound. If he had just a little more strength then he would had already killed all these damn Estraneo experiment subjects! Suddenly one of them pounced at Mukuro. Mukuro tried to attack him with his trident but before he did, something ran into the room and attacked the Estraneo member.

It was Ken. He was in his wolf channel. Ken furiously fights with the Estreaneo member. Both of them used their teeth and claw to kill each other. As soon as Ken start fighting with the Estraneo member, Chikusa and M.M. ran into the room. Unlike Ken, both of them were actually surprised to see the Estraneo members. They weren't actually expecting to see them here and now of all places. They were only trying to catch Ken who suddenly got aggressive and acts like an animal again.

Chikusa and M.M. both realized Ken's strange behavior was caused by these Estraneo members. Chikusa frowned uncomfortably as he immediately knew those Estraneo members were experiment similar like Ken. The differences were they looked more like an animal than Ken and were actually even stronger. It seemed like that experiment had improved during these years. Chikusa also noticed the flame on their hands…it made him remember the experiment he got when he was little. At that time the experiment was a failure but they must have succeeded it now. Chikusa took out his yoyo and started to attack them.

As the Kokuyo gang joined the fight, it didn't take much time to take down all the Estraneo members. Most of them were killed but a few of them were still breathing and alive. Mukuro catch his breath for a moment. He felt very exhausted. The fact that most of his flame was absorbed to the fetus inside Chrome, had weaken him more than he thought. However Mukuro only catch his breath for less than five seconds and immediately look back at Chrome.

"Chrome…!"

Mukuro ran to Chrome but froze before he reached her. Mukuro's heart dropped again but for a different reason. Chrome was looking at the broken amethyst necklace on the floor. More correctly, she was looking at the GPS which was inside the necklace. Mukuro's heart pounded. He needed to explain this misunderstanding. He didn't mean this. Not anymore. However before Mukuro could say anything, Ken started to yell in excitement!

"We finally got them byon! Mukuro-san your plan really wor…"

M.M. immediately covered Ken's mouth with her hands but it was too late. M.M. let out a little whine when she saw Chrome lowering her head and gripping her hand into a fist. Oh no… The air in the room had suddenly gotten very heavy. Even Ken felt the heavy atmosphere and became calm and quiet. Mukuro hesitated for a moment but soon slowly approached Chrome. Mukuro kneel down in front of her. His eyes shook for a moment as he could finally see Chrome's wounds. She had scratches on her face and body and some were bleeding. Her left arm had a pretty bad bite and was bleeding a lot. Mukuro carefully reached out his hand to Chrome's left arm. Her arm needed to be treated and stop the bleeding. However Chrome suddenly slaps away Mukuro's hand with her injured arm.

Mukuro and even the Kokuyo gang froze in shock. They had never seen Chrome act like this. Mukuro felt a huge pain on his heart. He was never rejected to her like this. Chrome raised her face and Mukuro flinched again as he saw her face. The expression of being badly hurt and betrayed was strongly on her face. Her left eye was crying but Mukuro couldn't help but feel fear toward Chrome for the first time. Even though her left eye was letting out tears, Mukuro had never seen her purple orb this cold with anger.

"Chrome… I…"

"I was a bait wasn't I? No wonder you suddenly appeared after 10 years and suddenly wanted a relationship with me."

Chrome let out a simper. She should know something wasn't right. After all for all those years he had mock her love and emotions toward him. It didn't make sense that he suddenly came back after 10 years just to see her or celebrate her birthday…and to have a relationship. How foolish she was. She knew Mukuro was hiding something and she shouldn't trust him…but she still accepted to have a relationship with him…because she was actually very happy to see him again and she wanted to stay next to him because she still loves him. She wanted to have a relationship with him even if it was a fake. Because she loved him so much she wanted to at least once be a little more closer to him. Even if it was a fake relationship, he kiss and touches her…even sleep together.

Now that she thinks about it she was being used as bait from the start when he came back. Chrome finally remembered a few weeks ago when she was suddenly attacked at the street, the men who attacked her had called Mukuro number 69. The attackers were from the Estraneo Famiglia. She could now understand how Mukuro was able to know where she was that day. Because she always wear that necklace which Mukuro had gave her as her birthday present. Why couldn't see remember this earlier? She learned Mukuro was called number 69 from the Estraneo Famiglia when she saw his childhood memories.

Tears started to drop even heavier. She was a fool but was even an idiot to fully open her heart to him again. She knew her heart would be completely shattered apart one day if she fully opens up to him again. She was a fool to open up to him when he confessed he loves her. But she couldn't reject his confess of love because it was something she always wished but never could even dream of having it. Her heart wanted to accept that chance at any cost. Now, Chrome regrets it.

Chrome honestly didn't care if Mukuro really did love her or not right now. No, she knew Mukuro's love toward her was real after that day when she comforted him in his dream. But it doesn't change the fact Mukuro used her as bait. Giving her a necklace that had a GPS in it. If he changed his mind of not using her as bait then he should had at least took away the necklace…since that necklace he gave to her as a birthday present was the evidence that he was using her as a tool and live bait. Or be honest and confess his plan to her.

His betrayal was very painful. Especially when her heart was already broken when he rejected her pregnancy and even wanting an abortion. She couldn't take it anymore. This was too much for her to bear. She didn't even know if her shattered heart would ever heal again this time. Ah, the pain was too much… It was even painful than 2 years ago. However it was also different. 2 years ago, Chrome fell into despair and sadness of being abandoned to Mukuro…but right now, Chrome wasn't feeling despair or sadness like the past. Instead she actually felt cold anger.

Chrome honestly wouldn't have felt this angry if...Mukuro was still his past-self. She knew Mukuro was a man who couldn't be trusted and only thinks of her as his puppet…and yet it was her choice to still love him and accept him when he suddenly came back. Because it would be only herself who would get hurt again from her choice. However things had changed…. Mukuro had started to slowly change and even started to be honest to her. He became gentle and caring to her and whispered love countless of times to her. His changed heart and behavior made Chrome's heart to fully open up to him again. Because of that, his reaction about the pregnancy had hurt Chrome more than she had expected. If Mukuro was still that cold and untruthful man like the past, it wouldn't have broken her heart. Instead it wouldn't be even a surprise that he wanted abortion…or even the fact that Mukuro had used her as bait for his needs.

If Mukuro was still his past-self, the pain she gets was her fault since she knew what kind of person Mukuro was and she still accepted him. However Mukuro had changed. Chrome doesn't doubt that Mukuro now deeply cares her and loves her. That was the point. Mukuro cares and loves her. However he was still using her as bait all these time when he whispered love into her ears and being one together on the bed. He betrayed her. He betrayed their relationship, love and her trust. It hurt so badly and even made her angry of his selfishness. Also the fact that Mukuro argued with her to abort their baby just a few minutes ago made Chrome even angrier. He hurt her in the two most worse possible way just a moment ago.

Chrome suddenly realized, no more correctly, finally accepted…she was going to continually get hurt from him. And the most painful thing he would do to her would be forcing an abortion against her will. It wasn't a possibility but just a matter of time fact. She needed to protect her baby. She can't be with him because she was truly afraid he will kill their unborn baby. The anger she was currently feeling was making it easier for her to push him away.

"Chrome!"

Mukuro shouted in shock and terror as soon as he felt Chrome making a thick wall between their mind connection. She had just completely closed her heart to him and even block him away from her mind. The only reason why she didn't cut off their mind connection was because she had a trauma with it. Mukuro's eyes shook as he didn't want to accept and believe what was happening right now. He lost her trust and she was literally refusing their mind connection and blocking him away. His heart had never pounded so fast with anxiety.

"Chrome please…let me explain…"

"I don't want to hear it. It doesn't matter anymore."

Mukuro flinched. He never heard Chrome's voice this cold with anger before. It also breaks his heart that he could sense Chrome was awfully hurt at his action. However Mukuro also couldn't help but feel fear when he saw the cold anger in her single purple orb. He was having a very bad feeling from her cold anger. His anxiety and fear quickly came true.

"We're over."

Mukuro froze. He doubted if he heard it right. What did she just say? It was the word he had never imagined in his life that Chrome would say it to him. Not only Mukuro, but the Kokuyo gang was also shocked at what Chrome had just say. They all knew how much Chrome loves Mukuro…and yet… The Kokuyo gang couldn't help but feel a heavy guilt on their chest. They were also the ones who had knew about the plan and was using her. They never expected they would feel guilt and uneasiness of using her and see her in pain because of it.

Chrome had spent most of the time with Mukuro but she had also spent time with the Kokuyo gang too. The Kokuyo gang had become close with Chrome again since this few months. Spending time together had unconsciously made them close again and unconsciously accepted her as their member once more. Even M.M. had somehow gotten close with her. They couldn't help but feel very uneasy with this. The Kokuyo gang remained silence. They didn't know what to do but they unconsciously knew they shouldn't interrupt nor say now or things could get even worse.

An intense silence was filled in the room. It only past a few seconds since Chrome had talk but it felt like an hour to the Kokuyo gang. However Mukuro couldn't sense time. His body was completely froze but in the inside of his mind he was in panic.

'We're over?'

Her words was echoing inside his head. She doesn't really mean she was breaking up with him? It can't be that meaning can it? Mukuro couldn't accept what Chrome had just said. It was something he had never even imagined before. After all Chrome had always cared and loved him all these years regardless of how he had treated her. Even he was only using her, Mukuro knew Chrome would never try to leave him despite how he emotionally hurts her.

However that obviously fact had just broken. Mukuro's anxiously was growing stronger as every second past. This doesn't seem like she was lying or something she just said out of anger. The cold anger in her purple orb and the fact that Chrome had blocked their mind connection… Mukuro had to admit Chrome was serious about this.

Chrome leaving his side? Just imagining about it made Mukuro's heart drop. Mukuro had already experienced the life of having light and happiness. She was his light. Mukuro didn't want to lose his light and return to that dark and hollow life he lived. He can't live without her anymore. He couldn't accept this. He can't let her go nor let her leave. His possessive nature was starting to control him.

Chrome slowly started to stand up. Even a simple thing like this felt tough for Chrome right now. Her mind and body was currently weak and the fact that she was still losing blood from her injured arm was making her weaker. Perhaps the fact that she's pregnant was making her even more exhausted. Chrome felt dizzy and tired that she felt like collapsing and fainting. She felt a huge urge to just give up and rest. However there was one more thing she needed to do. She needed to see her boss…

"Chrome, wait!"

Mukuro quickly grabbed Chrome's wrist as he realized she was trying to leave this room. Chrome tried to shake off Mukuro's hand but his grip was too strong. Chrome frowned at the pain as Mukuro gripped Chrome's wrist harder. Their eyes met each other. Chrome could see the strong possessive urge in his heterochromia eyes. She immediately knew Mukuro wasn't going to easily let her go. Chrome was starting to feel even more stressed. She currently didn't have the strength to argue with him.

"Don't think I'm going to accept this!"

"I'm not your little puppet anymore. It's over."

Mukuro tried hard not to raise his voice again. He can feel how tired she is by her weak and quiet voice. But Mukuro could also feel her strong will inside it. Mukuro felt like shouting at her out of desperation and anxiety when she said 'it's over' again. Mukuro tried to calm down himself. He was about to open his mouth again when suddenly the door opened and Tsuna and his Guardians came inside.

"What happened? We heard loud noises like…!"

Tsuna was suddenly lost of words when he saw the room. The room was a mess and unfamiliar men were killed or unconscious at the floor. It was easy to guess that these men had attacked Chrome. Tsuna narrowed his eyes as he look at Mukuro and Chrome. There was a tension between them and Mukuro was holding Chrome's wrist which seemed like Mukuro was gripping it hard. The Kokuyo gang was also in this room and they all looked uneasy and nervous about this situation. Tsuna and his Guardians could easily realize something had happen between Mukuro and Chrome…and it wasn't something nice. Also the fact that Chrome's arm was injured and bleeding was making the atmosphere even heavier. A heavy silence was suddenly filled in the room. Tsuna's didn't know what had actually happened between those two…but he knew who's the one to blame is.

"Mukuro, let go of Chrome."

Tsuna was clearly letting out an order to Mukuro. Of course, Mukuro didn't obey to Tsuna. A heavy tension was formed between Tsuna and Mukuro. Tsuna's Guardians were ready to react immediately in case something happens. Tsuna order to Mukuro once more.

"Mukuro, let go of Chrome so Ryohei onii-san can treat Chrome's arm."

Mukuro took out a few breath and slowly let go of Chrome's wrist. He didn't like the fact Tsunayoshi and his Guardian had interrupt, or the fact the Vongola was commanding to him. However Mukuro also agree Chrome's arm needed to be treated. As Mukuro let go of Chrome, Chrome immediately walk away from Mukuro and head to the Vongola Famiglia. They expected Chrome would go to Ryohei to get her arm heal, but unlike they expected, Chrome walked toward Tsuna. And before anyone could wonder why, Chrome suddenly took off her Vongola Mist ring and hold it out to him.

"Chrome?!"

Tsuna let out a shock. Not only Tsuna but everyone in the room were shock at Chrome's action. Chrome was giving away the Vongola Mist ring to Tsuna. In the mafia world, giving away the Famiglia's ring meant stepping down from their position in the Famiglia. This meant Chrome was stepping down from the Vongola Mist Guardian position. Her actions was clear but none of them understands why Chrome was doing this. All of them knew how important Chrome thinks of being the Mist Guardian and had always worked hard to prove herself to be qualified of being the Vongola Mist Guardian. Therefore none of them ever imagined Chrome would suddenly give up her Vongola ring.

Tsuna didn't take the Vongola Mist ring from Chrome. It meant he wasn't accepting her to step down from the Vongola Mist Guardian. Instead Tsuna stare at Chrome, quietly and desperately asking why she was doing this. He can't understand why his friend who had always helped him as his Guardian was suddenly doing this.

Chrome sighed. She was still holding out the Vongola Mist ring but it seems like Tsuna isn't going to take it. However it actually didn't matter whether Tsuna accept it or not. She made up her mind and she wasn't going take it back. Chrome carefully put down the Vongola ring on the nearby table and looked at Tsuna.

"Boss…I decided to leave the Vongola Famiglia and the mafia world."

"What!"

"Chrome!"

Tsuna and Mukuro both shout at shock and disbelief. This was a much more serious thing than stepping down from the Vongola Guardian position. Leaving the Famiglia was a huge risk. Most of the people who tries to leave the Famiglia were killed by their own Famiglia or from the hostility Famiglia. Leaving the Famiglia meant being a traitor and an easy prey without protection anymore. Of course Tsuna would never command or let someone tries to kill or hurt Chrome even if she does leave. Tsuna just couldn't understand why Chrome made this decision to leave the Vongola Famiglia when she thinks Vongola is her home and even family. It actually made Tsuna very sad of her decision and Tsuna just couldn't understand why.

"W-Why? Is there something that happen in the Vongola or is it because of the insult and rumors you always hear from others? Chrome I promise I will fix this and never let anyone insult you like yesterday at the party again. Does this have something to do with Mukuro? Chrome, I don't care how others talk that Mukuro is the real Mist Guardian, you were the one who had been the Mist Guardian by my side all these year…!"

"Boss, it has nothing to do with those things."

Chrome let out a heavy sigh. She never wanted to tell Tsuna and the others about this like this way, but it was already a disaster. Chrome hesitated for a moment but finally opened her mouth.

"I'm…pregnant…and I'm never going to risk my child to live as an illegitimate child in the mafia world."

This time everyone it the room (except for Mukuro and M.M.) was too shock to even speak. Most of them had their mouth open. For a few moments the room was completely quiet. Finally Tsuna came back to his sense. However he was still in shock.

"Y-Your p-pregnant?"

"Yes, it's about four months now."

Tsuna was lost of words for a moment again. However Tsuna quickly started to realize some things. Chrome was infertile but she had always wish to have her own child. So this must be a miracle and exciting thing for Chrome. However Tsuna couldn't see any happiness and excitement about the pregnancy from Chrome. Mukuro must be the father and she also mentioned about illegitimate child… His hyper intuition was telling him the attack that happened just a moment ago also has something to do with…the tension between Mukuro and Chrome. Tsuna realized for some reason Chrome was emotionally and mentally hurt just like…2 years ago…

"Mukuro, what the hell did you do?!"

Chrome laid down at the bed trying to have some rest. Her wounds were healed from Ryohei's Sun flame but she was still feeling very exhausted. Chrome was immediately sent to Tsuna's guest room to have some rest while Tsuna and the others…talk with Mukuro and the Kokuyo gang. Kyoko and Haru was with Chrome to company her. Both of them heard Chrome was pregnant from Tsuna. If it wasn't this situation they would had cheer and congratulate Chrome for her pregnancy. However the fact that Chrome was attacked and got injured just a moment ago and the fact that Chrome was currently very depressed made Kyoko and Haru worried. Their woman intuition made them knew the pregnancy news didn't went well with Mukuro who was certain to be the baby's father.

Kyoko and Haru didn't know how to comfort Chrome. This was a very private and serious problem which needed to be careful. Also none of them had ever imagined Chrome would suddenly be pregnant. The girls heard Chrome was interfile because she had illusion organs...therefore Kyoko and Haru were always careful not to mention about pregnancy or having children in front of Chrome. Both of them wasn't even sure if Chrome wanted to talk right now.

"Chrome, are you all right?

Kyoko carefully asked. Chrome looked very stress and tired. Chrome didn't answered. She didn't want to worry her friends but her mind and body felt too tired to even give a simple answer. Also she wasn't fine... Her broken heart was giving her pain every second. Chrome doesn't know what was hurting her most. Mukuro rejecting their baby and even trying to force her abortion? The fact that Mukuro was using her as bait all this time and the birthday present she treasured had a GPS in it? Or that she ended their relationship?

Chrome suddenly felt warm tears felling down her left cheek. All of those things hurts. Especially because they truly loved each other. Chrome could see and hear Kyoko and Haru being surprised and worried of her that she was suddenly crying. However Chrome didn't react to them. She currently didn't have the strength to and she knew she wouldn't get comfort from her friends even how hard they'll try.

"!"

Suddenly Chrome saw something out at the window and immediately sat up. But before Chrome could do anything it break the window and came inside the room. Chrome's eye widen as that thing look like that humanoid animal she had just fought with. However this one was much bigger and looked more like an animal than a human. The animal form was a tiger. Kyoko and Haru screamed in fright as they saw a tiger looking thing had break into the room.

The tiger looking creature pounced to Chrome. It was too fast for Chrome to avoid it. Chrome could see it's sharp claw ready to tear her skin. At that short moment, Chrome was able to clearly see the creature's face. Chrome murmured in disbelief.

"Tigern?"

"Mukuro, don't think of trying to avoid this! Tell us everything what had happened!"

Tsuna shouted at Mukuro, not hiding his anger. Mukuro let out a groan. The Vongola had been asking him things about Chrome's pregnancy, what had happened between them and the attackers in this room. All these topics were something Mukuro didn't want to talk about.

What was he suppose to say? He had came back to Chrome after 10 years to use her as bait to lure out the Estraneo Famiglia, but their fake relationship had somehow turned real and Chrome who was infertile was suddenly pregnant and he happened to hear it just a moment ago? The reason how Chrome could be pregnant was because the fetus inside Chrome had a ridiculously powerful Mist flame to maintain the pregnancy but because of the powerful Mist flame it has, the fetus will soon threaten Chrome's life, and he knows this because he had read a similar experiment report from the Estraneo Famiglia? Because of that he told Chrome to abort it, but she refused and they fought with each other? Also somehow the Estraneo Famiglia members were hiding in Chrome's guest room and attacked her and Chrome found out about his plan and she tries to broke up with him?

Explaining all this was too long and Mukuro didn't want to waste his time of hearing blames from the Vongola Famiglia. He didn't care if the Vongola Famiglia blames her actions. However they were making him irritating that they were forcefully separating him and Chrome right now. Mukuro was feeling many mixture of feelings toward Chrome and he desperately wanted to see her. He was worry of her life because of the pregnancy, he felt angry that Chrome was trying to break up with him which he will never accept...he felt guilt and sorry that he hurt her this way because of his stupid plan...

'Wait...how did the Estraneo Famiglia members were even able to hide inside here?'

Mukuro's eyes widen in surprise as he suddenly realized this. This was the Rango Famiglia's mansion...how can the Estraneo Famiglia's experiment subjects were able to be in Chrome's guest room without any trouble? Also how did they knew this room was Chrome's guest room?

"Vongola, where's Chrome right now?"

"Mukuro, I am not going to let you see Chrome until you explain what is going..."

"These men who attacked Chrome is from the Estraneo Famiglia. How were they able to hide inside the Rango Famiglia's territory? Who's with Chrome right now?"

Tsuna and the his Guardians were speechless for a moment. They immediately understood why Mukuro was suddenly asking this. The Guardians look at each other. All the Vongola Guardians were in this room. It meant there wasn't someone next to Chrome who could protect her. Only the girls were next to her and they all knew Chrome was currently too weak to fight right now. If Chrome was attacked from her guest room, there could be another enemy who is still hiding in this Rango Famiglia's mansion...and unless they are a fool, they won't loss this opportunity which Chrome is completely defenseless right now.

"She's in my guest room with Kyoko and Haru...!"

Immediately they heard terrified screaming voice of Kyoko and Haru. It wasn't loud since these room were quite excellent soundproof. However everyone in this room were quiet for a moment and their senses were keen than normal people. All of them immediately rush out the door and head to Tsuna's guest room. As soon as they opened the door, the first thing they saw was blood on the bed and floor. The blood was enough to make their heart drop. They found Kyoko and Haru at the floor. They were scared and frighten. They had some wounds but it wasn't major.

"Kyoko are you all right?!"

"Kyoko are you hurt to the extreme?!"

"Haru!"

Immediately, Tsuna and Ryohei rush to Kyoko and Gokudera rush to Haru. It was naturally thing to worry their loves one first. This natural instinct also includes Mukuro too. Mukuro felt his heart beating rapidly as he couldn't find Chrome anywhere in the room. The Vongola and his right hand man's lover had wounds but it wasn't major and they weren't bleeding... This meant the blood at the bed and floor was Chrome's and the amount of blood wasn't little. Mukuro felt something snap inside him. He rush to Kyoko and Haru and shouted at them.

"Where's Chrome?!"

"Mukuro, calm down for a second! Your only scaring them more."

Yamamoto immediately blocked Mukuro, trying to stop him. He understands Mukuro was shouting at the girls because he was terribly worry about Chrome. However shouting at them won't help this moment. Everyone was surprised to see Mukuro acting like this. It was the first time they were seeing Mukuro losing his calmness. They could also see Mukuro was afraid of what had happened to Chrome.

"S-Something that looked like a huge tiger a-attacked Chrome and kidnapped her."

Haru said with a trembling voice. She was holding to Gokudera, still terrified at what had just happened a moment ago. However she knew it wasn't the time to be scared and do nothing. Her friend was in danger! Kyoko also tried to calm herself and told something she remembers.

"I-I heard Chrome calling that t-thing Tigern."

"Tigern? That man who had fought with Chrome yesterday?"

Tsuna asked Kyoko. However Tsuna couldn't get a answer about that since Kyoko and Haru had never met Tigern before. Tsuna turned his head to ask Mukuro. Mukuro was also there when Chrome had fought Tigern. However Mukuro and the Kokuyo gang had already left the room as soon as they heard about Tigern. Tsuna immediately started to give orders to his Guardians.

"Lambo stay with the girls and make sure the Estraneo members in the other room doesn't run away! Gokudera, Yamamoto and Ryohei onii-san go search for Chrome! Tigern wouldn't have gotten far yet! Hibari-san will you...Hibari-san? When did he left?!"

Tigern let out a irritated growl as he pulled out the trident which was stabbed in his flank. Really this woman doesn't know when to give up. He needed to get out of here quickly before the Vongola Famiglia finds him. He was hiding near the woods not far from the Rango Famiglia's mansion so if he doesn't move fast, the Vongola Famiglia will easily find him soon. Tigern looked at the almost lifeless purple haired woman who was collapsed next to him.

Her breath was weak and she had a pretty bad wound on her body which was caused by Tigern's claws. She had already lost a lot amount of blood and was still losing it. She was nearly half dead. However Tigern couldn't let down his guard. Just a second ago she had suddenly stabbed him with her trident when he was carrying her even though her body was in this state. Tigern suddenly felt a huge urge to bite her neck and just kill her.

He wanted to kill her very badly. He had shamefully lost a fight from her yesterday hurting his pride and she was that hateful Rokudo Mukuro's woman. Tigern let out growl again. It disgust him that she had Mukuro's scent all over her body which meant she had sex with Mukuro just a few hours ago. Also the funny yet weak scent from her...it was a scent of a pregnant woman. This woman was pregnant with Rokudo Mukuro's offspring. If it wasn't for the boss's order to bring her alive, Tigern wouldn't have hesitate to kill her right now.

Tigern let out a few deep breath trying to calm himself. His tiger-form body started to change into his normal human form. After being experiment and having this body, it had gave him power he had never imagined he could ever have. However as a side-effect it made him more impulsive and easily felt an strong urge to kill. He had killed countless of people just because of his urge. Staying in his normal human form was a bit easier to control his blood thirsty urge. If he kills this woman, he will face his boss rage and Tigern wanted to avoid that. Although Tigern had barely suppressed his urge to kill Chrome, he couldn't suppress his anger toward her. Tigern suddenly kicked Chrome's stomach...hard...

It was a satisfying sight to him to see Chrome letting out a whimper of deep pain. Most of all how her face turned terrified and scared as she covered her stomach with her arms trying to protect the fetus inside it. Tigern enjoyed her tears of being afraid that something wrong might happen to the baby. He could see Chrome was deeply afraid she might loss the baby...which was something Tigern wanted to happen. He raise his foot to kick her stomach again. However his foot happened to kick Chrome's back since Chrome curled her body like a ball trying to protect her stomach even with her life. It irritated Tigern and he tried to kick her again when suddenly a white owl came out from a box in Chrome's hand and attacked him.

"What?!"

Tigern back away avoiding the white owl's attack of trying to claw out his eyes. He was sure she didn't have a ring on her finger just a moment ago! How was she able to use a box animal when she doesn't have a ring?! Tigern carefully look at Chrome's finger and noticed there was a A-rank Mist ring on it. It was the ring the Rango boss had gave to Chrome as a apologize gift. She must had quickly wear it when he was trying to kick her again. Tigern tried to drive away the Mist owl that was attacking him. His eyes widen when he saw Chrome's body turning to mist. She was escaping!

"No!"

Tigern tried to grab Chrome but it was too late. The mist disappeared from his sight. He let out a growl with rage and turn into his tiger-form again.

Chrome collapsed at the ground as soon as the mist faded. She was back near the Rango Famiglia's mansion again. Chrome covered her stomach with her arms and let out a painful and scared cry. Her stomach hurts. It hurts so much that she was terrified that something had happened to her baby when Tigern kicked her stomach. Chrome suddenly cough out some blood. Her illusion organs was very weak right now. It was too dangerous for her to use more flame when she was already too exhausted and was lacking flame, but she didn't have a choice. She had to run away for Tigern. Her illusion organs wasn't her concern right now. Chrome was scared if she damaged the baby more by forcefully using more flame.

Chrome forcefully moved her body to stand up. She needed help. However her body was weak and since she already lost a lot of blood, she felt dizzy and her body wasn't listening to her well. Chrome forced her legs to move and she slowly started to walk. However Chrome stopped as she felt something warm dripping between her thighs. Chrome looked down in horror and found blood dripping between her thighs. Chrome immediately realized where the blood was coming from and she started to panic.

"No, no, no! Please no!"

Chrome force herself to walk faster. However she was still slow and she felt like fainting at any moment. Chrome turned around the corner when she suddenly bump into someone. Chrome didn't have the strength to support herself and her body collapsed on to the person she bump into. The person fall backwards but immediately embraced Chrome trying to protect her from any damage of falling to the ground. Chrome wasn't hurt since she fell on top of the person's body. Chrome could feel the persons soft body and smell the person's scent. The person's scent was familiar and somehow relaxing to her.

"Oh my God! Nagi!"

"...E..ri..ca?"

Chrome recognized the person's voice and raised her face to see the person's face. Her sight was blur but she was able to see her mother's face. Chrome had never seen her mother look so frighten and panic like this. Chrome suddenly felt her sight starting to be darken. She was suddenly losing conscious. Before Chrome faint, she heard her mother calling out her name and a blur slight of a tiger looking creature running towards them.
