Chapter 21 – Where are you?

"Mira," I sigh, "We have to get to drama."

I walk past her.

"What's happening between you and Natsu~" She asks curiously as I rush through the drama door, she follows right behind me.

"Natsu kissed you?!" Mira says loudly. Erza suddenly turns to me with her arms folded; catching her attention.

"Mira!" I turn to her and widen my eyes.

"Lucy, you can't hide things from me." She shakes her head.

"You heard everything?" I whisper.

"Every. Single. Word." She smiles 'sweetly'.

"Lucy," Erza walks to us and her eyes almost pop out, "Natsu..k-k-kissed y-you?"

She began stuttering and blushing.

"No!" I shake my hands in front of me.

"Then why did he say 'Was it because I kissed you?" Mira rein acts.

Erza couldn't look more in shock.

"Y-you," She starts uneasily in shock, "And N-Natsu are-"

"No, no, no," I shake my head furiously, "Erza, breathe."

"Spill." Mira smirks. Erza and Mira glare at me intensely - great the two scariest girls in Fairy Tail.

"Okay...but you seriously can't tell anyone." I sigh.

"Just us girls." Mira nods.

"Yes. I shall keep my lips sealed. Now Lucy, tell." Erza demandingly.

"It was an accident." I blurt out.

"Accident?" Erza looks at me weirdly.

"You kissed by accident?" Mira questions.

"Yes." I nod.

"How?" Erza interrogates further.

"Well..." I clear my throat, "Natsu wanted to dance with me...and..."

They wait anxiously.

"We fell." I say slowly and quietly, "And when we fell, somehow his lips landed on mine."

"Aww~" Mira squeals, "So cliché."

"I-I didn't think that was possible." Erza strokes her chin; still processing, how it happened.

"Is that why Natsu was on top of you yesterday?" Erza's eyes jump back to mine.

I nod.

"I told him not to mess around!" Erza says with anger.

"But Erza, you can't talk to him about." I say desperately.

"Why not?" She turns to me in oblivion.

"You can't, okay?" I beg.

"Okay, I'll respect...your wishes." Erza says with difficultly.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FINALLY KISSED!" Mira screams.

"Mira!" I shout.

"You..." A voice interrupts, my eyes frantically run to the door, "and Natsu kissed...?"

"Sting!" I yelp in horror.

"Natsu kissed you?!" Sting says in utter shock, his eyes locking with mine.

"Well-" I start.

"Lucy." Erza interrupts, "I'll handle the matter."

She looks glances to me heroically before stomping up to Sting scarily.

She pulls him by the ear into the room and drops him to floor and he lands on his bottom.

"You won't say a word about this to anyone or you will have to face my wrath." Erza shouts fiercely, "Do I make myself clear?"

Every word was stabbing. I gulp in fear for Sting. But at least I know this wouldn't be getting out.

He nods like a child whilst looking up her.

She walks back to Mira and I, "That's taken care of."

"T-thanks." I sweat drop.

Then Gray, Loke, Cana, Juvia, Evergreen and other students fill the room.

"You all are late." Erza turns to them boldly

"No we aren't?" Gray protests.

"We've been waiting, Gray I expect you especially to be here early." She scolds.

"Now, everyone, let's rehearse!" Erza states authoritatively.

The next day...

I slowly walk to English. Natsu is going to be there.

I take a deep breath and enter English; ready to face him again. But to my surprise, he's not there. Natsu's not here.

I go to my seat. He's probably late. He is practically always late. Yeah, that's right, he's late.

I can't help but watch the door eagerly. But seconds turns to minutes. Minutes continue to pass and he doesn't come.

And before I know it first period English ended.

Natsu, where are you?

"Blondie." Sting says as I sit down for single period Biology.

"What." I narrow my eyes.

"Natsu kissed you?" He says curiously.

"No..." I shake my head.

"That's not what I heard?" He leans closer.

"So pinkie finally made a move, huh?" He smirks.

"No." I say simply, "He doesn't like me."

"But you kissed." He reminds.

"But it was an accident." I sigh finally.

"Haha, how can you accidentally kiss?" He laughs biliously.

"Well, its Natsu were talking about..." I mutter.

"So," He starts, "How'd it happen?"

"Why should I tell you?" I say with annoyance.

"You might as well." He gives me a toying look.

"No. It's not your business." I say firmly.

"And if I said it was?" He counters.

"I'd say you're wrong." I start my work.

"It's obvious you like him." He states.

"No." I shake my head.

"You're in denial." He tells me.

"I'm not." I refuse.

"See." He chuckles slightly.

"I reckon Pinkie likes you too." Sting says.

"Yes, but not like that." I look to him.

"You know, you're kinda stupid." He smirks.

"Um..." I say with embarrassment.

"Why don't you just tell him how you feel?" Sting shrugs.

"I don't feel anything." I say calmly and look back to my work.

"You don't fool me." He grabs my wrist so I meet his gaze again.

"But Lisanna likes him too, right?" He says and I shoot him an evil look.

"Ssh!" I hush, "I'm not talking about this with you anymore."

He releases my wrist, "Fine, whatever."

He's acting strange...

"So you and Natsu smooched?! Eh Lucy?" Cana shouts as I walk over. Oh...is that what Mira meant, by 'us girls'.

"N-no, it's not like you think..." I say with embarrassment. I glance at Lisanna. To be honest, I didn't want her to find out.

"Mira said it was when he was dancing with you?" Levy asks for conformation, "Is it true, Lu-chan?"

"Lisanna actually taught Natsu how to dance." I point to Lisanna.

Everyone stares at least Lisanna in shock.

"Maybe she should teach Gray to dance..." Cana sniggers, "Since you obviously can't?"

"It's his fault." I frown.

"He got the hang of it quickly." Lisanna smiles.

"But Lucy," Lisanna starts, "How did it happen?"

"Erm," I say hesitantly, everyone quietens down.

"Well you see girls," Mira interjects, "They were dancing and he fell on her and boom, they kissed."

"Bet it weren't an accident..." Cana sniggers.

"It's not like it meant anything though. He's just clumsy." I shake my head.

"But Lucy, was that your first?" Lisanna's eyes widen.

"No, it doesn't really count..." I say nervously and look around, "Right?"

"It does." They all say in unison.

"Whaat?" I refuse.

"Mind you, Sting was really interested." Mira winks.

"Yes, he did seem rather curious." Erza ponders.

"How does Sting know?" Levy asks.

"He heard them talking about it." I shoot a glare at Mira and Erza.

"Oh Mira-nee." Lisanna face palms.

"Besides, where is Natsu?" I ask.

"He's sick." Lisanna tells me, "He called me."

"Oh..." I say with slight disappointment.

So he's sick? He barely ever gets sick!

"Lucy, Lucy," Someone shakes me, "Lucy?"

"Yeah?" I jump and turn to Gray in Maths.

"You seem dazed." He raises an eyebrow.

"I'm fine." I say. The truth is Natsu has been running through my head all day.

I reach in my bag and slide my phone into my pocket subtly before raising my hand.

"Yes Lucy?" Miss stops talking and looks to me.

"Can I go to the toilet?" I say sheepishly.

She sighs loudly, "Be quick."

"Thank you." I say quickly and rush out the room to the toilets. Luckily no one is here. I pull out my phone and dial Natsu's number, whilst fiddling with the taps and looking in the mirror.

It rings twice and then someone answers, "Luce?"

"Natsu!" I shout. I cover my mouth quickly, remembering I shouldn't be too loud.

"Aren't you in class?!" Natsu says in worry.

"No, I'm in the toilets," I tell him, "But I heard you were sick."

"So, I wanted to ask if you were okay?" I say with worry.

"I'm alright." He says, "I'm just skiving."

"Wait," I start, "You're not sick?"

"No." He grunts.

"But you told Lisanna-" I start.

"That was just an excuse." He says, "Otherwise, Erza would kill me."

"Natsu!" I say with annoyance. It's rare for him skive nowadays.

"What?" He says with annoyance. He seems different.

"About yesterday..." I mumble.

He goes silent.

"I'm not avoiding you." I say bravely.

"Good, you can't avoid me anyway, Lushi" He says childishly.

"Yeah..." I laugh half-heartedly.

"I didn't get the big deal anyway." He sighs referring to the kiss.

"You wouldn't..." I mumble.

"What are you doing now?" I ask.

"Eating your food." He says casually.

"My food?!" I gape.

"Yeah," He says, "I'm at your house."

"WHAT?" I yelp.

"Ow Luce, my ear-" He moans.

"I swear Natsu," I rage, "If you mess up my house-!"

"Yeah, yeah." He says carelessly.

"I should go back to class now, Miss will wonder where I am." I remember that I've been in the toilet for awhile.

"Aww..." He says in disappointment, "I wanted to talk to you more."

"Well maybe if you got your butt in school!" I shout.

"Na, too much effort." He says lazily.

"Anyway, Bye." I say and hang up immediately, before sprinting back to class.
