Ch 21 What Goes Around Comes Around

Sarabi and Mufasa held their breaths as they waited for Rafiki to tell them about their son's condition. "De Prince will recover from his injuries," the mandrill said. This earned collective sighs of relief from the group. "However," Rafiki continued. "Der is still cause fer concern."

"What do you mean?" Mufasa asked.

"I'm afraid young Simba has had a lot of injury to his head," Rafiki said. "Der is swelling of de brain. Now I tink dat will go down in time. However I cannot guarantee dat der will not be some permanent brain damage."

"Oh Kings above," Mufasa whispered his amber eyes wide. Sarabi let out a sob and buried her face in Mufasa's red mane.

"Now now," Rafiki said soothingly. "Do not be so sad. De likelihood of brain damage is vedy small. But I felt I must tell you all de possible outcomes."

"Can we sit with him?" Sarabi asked softly.

"Of course,"Rafiki said. "You may all come in if you wish. However de Prince is not awake. Once he is awake den we will be able to tell de extent of de damage done."

"Thank you my friend," Mufasa said with a small smile. Rafiki nodded and said, "I shall be back to check on both young Simba and Tojo." With that the mandrill took his leave and Jara, Mufasa and Sarabi went inside to be with their sons. Nala started to follow but Scar put a paw on her shoulder saying, "I think we should let them be alone for now my dear."

"I just wanna make sure he's ok," Nala said.

"Nala dear your father is right," Sarafina said.

"Humph my father," Nala scoffed rolling her green eyes. "That's funny Mother I don't see my father anywhere. Do you?"

"Nala what on Earth on you talking about?" Scar said the surprise clear in his voice.

"She means the fact that your not really her Daddy," Mheetu said. Scar gave his son a look of surprise. "I heard Tama telling her," the light brown Prince said softly.

"Tama is that true young lioness?" Vera said sharply giving her daughter a look. Tama opened her mouth to respond but before she could Nala said with force, "She just told me the truth. That my real father was some random rouge. That I'm the product of rape. Is that true Mom?" Nala looked over at Sarafina, who was staring at her daughter with wide eyes.

"Nala I.." the creamy Queen began.

"Uh come on Nuka," Zira said quickly. "Let's go down to the watering hole. You should come to Mheetu."

"Can I Mom?" Mheetu asked looking at Sarafina.

"Of course you can," Sarafina said grateful that Zira had offered. With that Zira, Nuka and Mheetu took their leave. Once they were gone Sarafina turned back to Nala and said, "Honey I'm sorry I wasn't honest with you. But honestly I hardly ever think about the fact that you aren't Scar's blood daughter."

"Neither do I," Scar put in. "I love you so much Nala. You are my daughter in every way that's important."

"Yeah I know," Nala said. "I just wish I would have been told from one of you instead of Tama."

"Yes Tama that really wasn't your place to tell Nala that," Vera said sternly.

"I'm sorry," Tama said trying not to cry. "I thought she already knew. I wouldn't have said anything if I knew it was a secret."

"I'm glad you told me Tam'," Nala said with a smile. "And trust me I'm not mad. Like Daddy said I'm his daughter in every way that's important."

"I'm so very glad to hear you say that my dear," Scar said giving his daughter a nuzzle which she gladly returned. Just then Jara emerged from the cave with a smile of her face. "Tojo is awake," the grey lioness said. "And he wants to see everyone."

"Can we go in Daddy?" Nala asked.

"Of course," Scar said with a smile. With that Nala and Tama went inside the cave to see their friend. Once they were gone Vera turned to the King and Queen saying, "I'm sorry Tama told Nala you weren't her father Scar."

"No need to apologize," Scar said smiling at the sandy brown lioness.

"Yes we should have told Nala the truth long ago," Sarafina put in.

"And I for one am glad it's out in the open," Scar declared.

"Me too," Sarafina said with a smile.

"I'm sorry ladies but I must be going," Scar said after a couple of minutes. "I have rounds to make and since Mufasa is occupied I will have to do them all. Please excuse me." With that the brown coated King took his leave. But what Vera and Sarafina didn't know was that Scar had already completed the rounds for the day and was in fact on his way to the Outlands. "Time to show those scum whose in charge," Scar thought with a growl.

TLKTLKTLK

A little while later Scar had arrived in the Outlands in search of Shenzi. But instead of Shenzi he found Banazi and Ed. "Where the Hell is your sister?!" Scar snarled pouncing on the two brothers.

"Whoa there take it easy Scar old buddy," Banazi stammered nervously.

"Where is she Banazi?!" Scar roared. "I won't ask again!"

"I'm right here Scar," Shenzi said coming onto the scene along with Lena. Once he saw the alpha female Scar let out a furious roar a lunged at Shenzi pinning her to the ground. "I should kill you right now you bitch!" Scar snarled. "In fact I think I will!" With that Scar raised his paw fully prepared to kill Shenzi. But before he could Lena lept into action along with Banazi and Ed. Together the other three hyenas succeeded in knocking Scar off of Shenzi. "You ain't killin' no one Scar," Banazi snarled. "Unless you wanna be ripped to shreds by our clan." As if on cue the other hyenas from the clan emerged surrounding Scar.

"Oh please," Scar scoffed rolling his green eyes. "You won't kill me."

"Oh yeah," Shenzi said. "And what's gonna stop us?"

"If you kill me my brother will wage war on all of you scum," Scar declared. "Trust me on this. He's already on a verge of doing so right now after you idiots attacked our cubs and their friends. My nephew could have permeate brain damage because of it!"

"Oh you mean like Ed did after Ahadi beat the living tar out of him?"Shenzi said the venom clear in her voice. "Please why the Hell should we care?"

"Here's why," Scar growled his voice very low. Before anyone knew what was happening the brown lion attacked. His first target was Shenzi. He succeeded in taking down the alpha female biting hard into her back snapping her spine. Scar got up and wiped the blood off his muzzle. "Anyone else foolish enough to take me on?" he snarled his green eyes blazing. Banazi and his clan looked around to terrified to move. All they could do was shake their heads. "Good," Scar hissed. "Now if I were you scum I'd hightail it out of here and go as far away from the Pridelands as possible. Because I swear to the Kings above if I ever see you scum again I will kill each and every one of you. Got it?"

"Yeah," Lena said. "We got it." With that the hyenas picked up Shenzi's body and carried it away. Satisfied Scar walked back to Priderock knowing he wouldn't see the hyenas again.
