It has been a while since I last updated, sorry about that. I hope you guys enjoy the update. c:

Rai is scrutinizing me as I steer, the guy is paranoid I'll get us stuck in the middle of a nest of seakings. "Are you even paying attention to the guy you're cleaning?" I ask him as I keep us on course, while also keeping my eye for any random storms that may pop up.

"I don't have to, but you know you're still new to this." He says cynically. "You never know what may happen Rose."

I roll my eyes and gesture for him to take the wheel, getting up relieved he takes it. "You know this is more like a cruise for me."

"I trust you, it's just you happen to have trouble following." He comments easily, I roll my eyes. It was one time that a tribe on one of the islands we stopped on happened to track us and catch Rai. We got out alive, and he wasn't even harmed. "Besides you're supposed to be focusing on figuring out that lock."

Heading below deck I grab the box with a lock and take it back up. "Are you keeping an eye out for Ace's brother?" I ask paranoid.

"Lock Rose." He nags me, puffing my cheeks up I look at the locked box. "And I am."

I sit against the wall out of the sun, Pumpkin walks over to me and curls up by my legs. "It's not a key hole." I comment frowning at the box. Tap my fingers on the top I stare at the gold paint on the edges, with green vines and pale pink roses painted all over the box. "My mother has left notes for me at the last three islands."

"And not at the first two." Rai comments easily. "And she says that you'll figure out that box." It's been four months since we split away from Whitebeard and sailed off in different directions. "You're thinking about it again."

"You saw the papers." I murmur quietly. "Ace isn't with them, Blackbeard is rampaging, and Luffy is getting closer to the red line. My dad is still looking out for me…Rai the world is changing very fast." I comment fidgeting with my necklace.

"We should stock up on the next island; we need fresh water and some citrus." Rai says changing the subject; we're both worries with what's been going on. "We need to find some treasures so we can actually repair the ship."

"I know. We'll just have to raid the next pirate ship we come across." I say while shrugging my shoulders. Looking back at my necklace and at the chest's lock I slap my forehead. Taking the trinket off my neck I push the then red pendant into the slot, twisting carefully I hear a click and top opening.

"You got it open?" Rai asks happily, "What's in it Rose?"

I grin happily. "Three small blue marbles and a note." I say setting the box down carefully and pulling the note out, unfolding the paper I frown. "Rai we have a problem."

"What kind?" He asks groaning. "Is it a problem we can work pass or no?"

"Unless you can read this then we have nothing to worry about." I say closing the lid and getting up. "It's the same as the language on the Poneglyphs." I hand the note to Rai to look at; he lets out a heavy sigh handing it right back to me. "So we have a need to find someone who can read this."

"And I'm not sure if there is actually anyone alive who can." I tell him shaking my head. "I have no idea if it's actually vital for us, or if my mother could actually read them."

"So now what? Do we press on and hope for the best or hunt someone down that can read them, if there is anyone?" Rai asks shaking his head. "And before all that we still need to repair the ship."

"And before that we need the money to do so." I add to our list of problems. "So we'll put off heading right to the next island, instead we'll focus on repairing the ship and getting the money for supplies and such." I tell him shrugging my shoulders; he gives me an unsure look. "Rai, we don't have choice right now and besides it'll give us time to sort out what we should do next."

"Then we're following the log pose." He says checking his wrist. "We're not too far off course it looks like. Let's hope it's nearby."

"I'll make us some lunch; I'll start stashing our stuff." I say picking up the box, taking the pendant out, I pull it around my neck. "I'll be right back, watch out for pirates."

Rai nods his head as I head back towards the kitchen, opening a board in the wall I place all the things related to what we're doing in the secret shelf, placing the note in the book with the letter. Placing the door back on I start making us some sandwiches, the seaking we managed to kill had some good meat on him. Pumpkin yips at my feet and rubs against my legs for his food. "Hey there pumpkin." I say placing a plate of the food on the counter for him.

Jumping up he happily eats his share. "Rose you better get up here, there's a pirate ship approaching." Rai yells from above.

Grabbing the plates I smile at Pumpkin before heading up, as I get up the stairs I smile at Rai, he's smirking very happily. Walking over to him I hand him his plate. I look in the direction he's pointing. "That isn't." I murmur watching the ship sail closer to us. "We've been looking out and…"

"They're right there." Rai confirms.

"Should we?" I ask walking over to the edge. "Ace did say we should talk to him." I say looking back at Rai, he nods his head and steers towards them.

"We should be fine, right?" He asks as they come up next to us, a few people are looking at us, probably the crew.

"You're Zoro" I call to the green-haired man; he looks at me and nods his head, the others don't have a bounty, but I'm not taking chances here. "Is Straw Hat Luffy around?"

"Why?" He asks suspiciously. "And who are you?" He calls over.

I chuckle at his response. "A friend of Luffy's brother, Ace told me that if I ever ran into him and the crew I should stop to talk." I call over easily.

A new face peers over the edge and stares at me. "You know Ace?" Luffy calls over with a silly grin on his face.

"Yeah, care to talk?" I ask him easily, Luffy nods his head. He waves us over, though the others seem hesitant. Luffy's arm stretches out and wraps around me and yanks me over.

"OI!" Rai yells taken off guard as I'm jet over the railing and on to the deck of Luffy's ship. "Give her back; my head will be taken if she's hurt!" He yells paranoid.

I roll my eyes and smile at him. "Don't mind him, he's just overly cautious." I tell them while shaking my head.

"We'll connect the ships." A woman says nodding over at a blonde man and Zoro. "Luffy, you should just bring random people over onto the ship."

"She's a friend of Ace." Luffy says simply.

"We don't know that for sure, he didn't say anything about her." The girl argues; another crew member, a female, stares at me.

Rai is by my side the second they have the ships secured. "Oi, what do you think will happen if you get kidnapped again?"

"You'll find me and Marco will find out." I say happily, Rai slumps to the ground. "Oh come off it, it's Ace's brother, though you should probably be showing them proof."

Rai gets up and shows them his arm, Whitebeard's mark on his arm. "We're in the same crew, the blockhead talked nonstop about you." He says motioning to Luffy. "Brags about you constantly."

I glance back at the other woman onboard. "You're Nico Robin." I state surprised.

"And you're Dove Rose, currently missing from her father." She says chuckling. "Kidnapped according to the papers."

I chuckle; I've read the articles about me being forcibly taken by Whitebeard's crew. "I was saved by them.

The blonde man from before spins over to me and takes my hand. "You're a beauty." He says before kissing my hand. "I'm Sanji."

"Oi, she has a boyfriend that could rip you to shreds." Rai says knocking his hand off.

I shake my head while Sanji and Rai start fighting about manors or something. The other girl's eyes widen at me. "You're that Vice-Admiral's daughter!"

I shrug my shoulders. "That's not really important." I say simply. "Anyways, Ace wanted me to talk some sense into Luffy, though I doubt that's possible." I say grinning at him. "But you know we've been keeping an eye out for you guys."

"Why?" The orange-haired woman asks suspiciously.

Luffy glances back and laughs. "Sanji let's have some lunch!" He shouts energetically while grabbing the man and pulling him towards him. "To celebrate!"

"What are we celebrating?" A man with a long nose asks confused. "We have possible killers on the ship."

I frown. "I'm not killer, and Rai is only with me to make sure I stay alive." I say simply. A moment later Pumpkin comes running over and stands in front of me, he yips a few times before a reindeer comes over and starts talking to him. Pumpkin is soon happily trotting around the ship following him. "You have a talking reindeer in your crew?" I ask turning to Luffy.

"He's our doctor." Luffy beams at us. "So are you hunting after Blackbeard too?" He asks seriously.

I shake my head. "I'm not part of Whitebeard's crew; it's more like I'm friends with them." I comment easily. This seems to satisfy him enough to move on to pestering Sanji.

"We haven't really eaten yet." Rai states while rubbing his stomach. "Lunch sounds good, right Rose?"

I nod my head happily; we've been saving food recently to make sure it lasts.

Sanji commands the others to go fishing, they happily comply. "We have some seaking meat, can you use that?" I ask Sanji as Rai heads off to go fishing.

"Of course I can Rose-chan." He says affectionately.

Rai perks up and glares at Sanji. "Seriously, her boyfriend is protective over her, watch it."

I chuckle heading back to get the meat, as I cross over I glance at Robin, following me over she smiles. "I take it you know more about me than you said before." I comment as I head below deck.

"I do, I know the history surrounding your family." She says lightly. "It rare to any part of your family like this." I nod my head. "You're I assume following that tradition."

"I am." I confess easily. "Though I don't see how it helps you at all."

She chuckles and leans against the doorway. "You family is protecting something I'm interested in." I narrow my eyes at her as I turn around with the seaking meat. "Purely to read, from an archeologist's point of view." She says simply.

"My mother died protecting me, she never taught me anything." I tell him slowly. "So I have no idea what exactly is at the end of my journey."

"The idea of what your family protects isn't popular among the World Government." She says taking a seat. "Your family has a long history of going around and gathering things, hiding them and passing these clues on to their future generations."

"For a very long time, and I know you're from an island that no longer exists, one of knowledge." I say staring at her. "I've heard the rumors about you from the crew on my dad's ship. Though I don't really believe that you're some kind of monster. Though I don't understand what exactly you're after."

"I want to gain more knowledge about the Void Century." She states simply.

I stare at her for a moment before it clicks. "You can read the Poneglyphs." I murmur shocked, she nods her head. "You can read them." I smile and set the meat down. "Rai will be upset, but this is a good chance for us." I mutter heading over to the secret shelf, removing the panel I take the book out. "We're actually in a bit of trouble." I tell her handing the book over.

"This is a history of your family." She murmurs.

I shake my head. "Society, it's more than just my family from what I read, it's more like seven families and mine are a center for it." I explain frowning. "But that's not what I'm showing you. We found a note, one that Rai and I can't read. We were in the middle of trying to find someone who could."

Opening the book she inspects the note from my mother, and then the one that has been a bit of trouble for us. "They're instructions."

"For what?" I ask him taking a seat next to her at the table.

Robin explains the steps for three spheres and what to do with them on the appropriate island. She warns me about the danger ahead. "If the wrong people know what you're doing you'll be hunted down."

I nod my head. "I know, I've been warned, but this isn't about that." Robin looks at me curiously. "I never really new my mother, I've been lied to as I was growing up, and when I was saved by Marco I got to learn a little bit of the truth."

"The same Marco that Rai is talking about?" She asks smiling at me, I nod my head. Placing the things back in the wall I smile at her. "We should get the food back to Mr. Cook before he starts to worry." She says getting up.

Robin leads the way to their kitchen and I head back out with her, talking more about my family. She provides me with some insight, and I provide her with some information about my dad and what happened to my mother.
