Wow this is a long chapter. I really had to work hard to finish this, so please enjoy it. Also to all those amazing LoLu shippers out there, don't worry, there is an absolutely beautiful chapter filled with Loke x Lucy moments already typed up and waiting to be posted, but I do have to type one more chapter first. Chapter 21

Game Show?

Lucy

We all hit the ground, and hard. I could hear the aches and groans of all my fellow team members, except there was one voice missing: Kaylana's. I turned around, and saw everyone lying down on the ground, except our newest team member, who had somehow miraculously landed on her feet.

"Come on guys, get up." She said. "What the hell are you waiting for?"

Everyone groaned again, including me, but we stood up anyway. Erza didn't look too bad, her armor must have shielded her fall a little, and Kaylana of coarse didn't have a scratch, but the rest of us looked pretty sore and beaten.

"Kaylana, how did you manage to land on your feet?" I asked her curiously.

"I always land on my feet. I don't ever really fall." She responded.

"It seems we're always learning something new about you. Are you sure you aren't hiding anything?" Gray asked, sounding highly suspicious of Kaylana.

"Well okay then, I also have the power to fix things when they're broken and one to tell when other people are lying, but other than that I haven't really hid anything. I guess I'm just not the type of person who goes up to random people and starts telling them everything there is to know about me. If I don't tell you something, it's because you haven't asked." This got Gray to shut up, though he still looked kinda suspicious.

I was about to say something along the lines of "Where do you think we are", but suddenly a loud voice blared in our ears. "Hello everybody, and welcome to your doom!" The voice said and cheesy music started playing around the room, sorta like we were on one of those tacky game shows.

All of a sudden strobe lights started circling around the room, and the voice said " From the Fairy Tail Guild's side, we have…" he paused as a drumroll played, "The one known as Salamander, Natsu Dragneel!" He shouted, and the lights landed on Natsu's surprised face. There was also a sudden burst of applause, but I didn't see any audience cheering.

"Next up is the one we all know as Titania, queen of the fairies, Erza Scarlet!" the lights then moved on to Erza, and then reflected of her armor.

"Now let's have a round of applause for the ice-mage who'll melt your heart, the one and only Gray Fullbuster!" The lights went to Gray, who had lost his shirt again.

"We also got the girl with the keys, our special little celestial spirit mage Lucy Heartfilia!" all of a sudden I was blinded by the lights as I heard cheers run through the crowd.

"And last but certainly not least, we have the mysterious newcomer with more strength than most people will get after years of training, Kaylana!" the lights went to Kaylana, but she shot the invisible crowd a death glare that could make even Laxus stop dead in his tracks.

"Now we have to introduce the members of our home team, and here they are!" All of a sudden there was a giant Lacrima-Vision screen in front of us, and I saw some creepy people who must have been members of this guild. "First off, you know her, you love her, but she'd kill you before you'd ever get a chance to tell her that, the beautiful Hana Utsukushii!" There was an absolute roar that was ten times louder than any cheering for us had been go through the crowd as a girl with dark black hair and cruel looking purple eyes flash up on the screen. She was wearing a long violet kimono, and she looked like she was ready to eat us all alive.

"Next up we have the man with the devilish smile that will send shivers down your back for weeks, Sanran Akuma!" Another ear-shattering cheer echoed through the room as I heard millions of fangirls squeal as a brown haired man with dark skin and red eyes on the lacrima-vision. He was tall and dressed in a red suit and black tie.

"Now we have the man who doesn't say much, but is the literal meaning of power, Denryoku Ippin!" this time a guy wearing a cloak and hat that concealed most of his face was on screen, and he did look pretty powerful.

"Now we have the girl who'll do anything to get what she wants, including eat you alive, Gem!" Now there was a red-haired chic wearing a tasteless gold outfit and too much jewelry on. She probably would have been pretty, but her face was obscured by heaps of badly-applied makeup.

"Now finally we have the man of the hour, the biggest powerhouse in this part of Fiore, the dark and mysterious Nazo!" I then saw a boy with shoulder length dark hair and pale skin. He wore all black, and was the living definition of tall dark and handsome.

"Now that our players have been properly introduced we need to discuss the rules of today's game." The announcer said, and dramatic music started playing. There was a hush in the crowd and everything became silent. "Today we will have a very special event, one that very few people have ever survived." I heard the invisible people start to murmur in excitement as the announcer continued. "Today's event will be…" He paused again, and I could practically feel the crowd on the edge of their seats. "…The Labyrinth." A sudden cheer went up through the crowd.

"The contestants just have to make it to the door in the center of the labyrinth we've set up in the basement of our guild, and the first team there wins the prize. Now, what is today's prize you may ask?" He said, and there was another uproar from the crowd. "Well, today we have a very special prize, one that will be of special value to two of our contestants in particular. Today's prize will consist of the normal 100,000,000 jewel prize, as well as something Gem and Lucy should enjoy if their teams win. That's right, I mean a Celestial Spirit Key!"

My moth fell open in shock. The prize is a Celestial Spirit Key! We've gotta win now! I thought excitedly. But wait, does that mean Gem from the other team is a Celestial Spirit mage, too?

"Now, as we all know, the losing team doesn't get to leave these halls after the competition and the celestial spirit mage on the losing team has to hand over all her keys, so our stakes are high!" I froze at that last part. I might have to give up my keys! But I've worked so hard to earn them! The crowd started roaring even louder as the announcer continued. "So let the battle between Team Fairy Tail and our very own Team Celestial Crusher commence!"

All of a sudden the floor beneath our feet started to move, and we were forced down into a maze that looked bigger than the town it was underneath. We stopped at a door that had "Welcome to Your Doom!" printed on it in creepy red letters. I shivered, and not just at the sign. I was also creeped out by the fact the guild we were in was called "Celestial Crusher". What did they have against celestial spirits here?

My thoughts were interrupted by the door opening up, and we walked into a passageway. There was one problem though; there were two separate paths to take.

"Which way do we go?" I asked nervously.

"Natsu, Gray, take Lucy and go left. Me and Kaylana will take the right path, and… wait. Where's Happy?" She asked. I looked around, finally noticing the absence of a certain blue exceed.

"Happy! Where the hell are you little buddy!?" Natsu started screaming.

"I'm willing to bet he was flying when the floor caved in and didn't fall with us. He's probably still up in the guild hall wondering what's happened to all of us." Kaylana rationalized.

"Crap! I'm coming for you buddy! Just hold on!" Natsu screamed as though Happy could hear him and tried to head back to the guild hall, but the door had already swung closed, and there was no doorknob.

"Idiot. Just forget about Happy for now, and let's get out of here. We'll find him when we get out of this place." Gray said seriously.

"No way I'm goin' anywhere without Happy, and I'm definitely not goin' anywhere with you ice-boy!" Natsu yelled in Gray's face, but gray just grabbed him by the scarf and led him away, with Natsu, of course kicking and screaming the whole way. I followed them and saw Erza and Kaylana run off the opposite direction.

There were so many twists and turns, and the whole thing felt useless. The two boys were fighting the whole way, as usual, and I had to work really hard to space them out. I needed time to think about my own problems, especially concerning Celestial Spirits. This whole guild was apparently created to collect keys, but what did they do with them? Destroy them? Build up an army? It was really bugging me. I had to pile these troubles on top of all my other ones, and there had been a lot of worry lately, especially concerning a certain lion spirit.

After a while, I realized that I didn't hear the boys' bickering anymore. I turned around, and realized I was completely alone. "Natsu! Gray! Where are you!?" I screamed desperately, but to no avail. I than ran on ahead, hoping to run into them, but I ran into someone else instead.

"Well if it isn't the other little Celestial Wizard? Aren't I lucky?" said Gem, the red-headed celestial wizard from the dark guild. Her voice was harsh and raspy, and her black eyes were even more intimidating in person. "I was actually hoping for a chance to fight you!"

"Why me?" I asked.

"Well isn't it obvious? You aren't exactly the smartest little girly in your guild are you? I want a chance to see who the best celestial wizard is, that's why!" She said psychotically, and I could tell that this girl wasn't exactly all there. She pulled out a sparkling silver key, and said "Open, gate of the Eagle, Aquila!" ,and a tall blonde man with shimmering golden wings appeared. He was dressed in white sneakers and golden jeans, and had a crème hoodie with feather designs all over it. He looked kinda like an average teenager, except the wings of course.

"Now Aquila, attack blondie over there!" Gem ordered, and the guy started coming toward me. "Open, gate of the Giant Crab, Cancer!" I yelled, and my celestial spirit came to my aide. He stared trying to cut the bird man, but he was too quick and was able to avoid the attacks. Eventually though, Cancer was able to clip his wings and Aquila fell to the ground.

Gem quickly called Aquila back and pulled out another key. "Open, gate of the serpent, Serpens!" she said, and this time a women with scaly skin and serpents for legs appeared. She was dressed in battle armor and carried a shield and spear, and even had a strange crown thing on her head. I called back Cancer, and this time called Taurus. The Snake woman lunged, and Taurus had to quickly dodge. The two then charged at each other, ax clashing against spear. The battle was pretty evenly matched for a while, until Taurus was able to knock Serpens back into a wall.

"Fine, this time I'll summon my most powerful spirit! Open, gate of the Sea Monster, Cetus!" She said, and a gigantic serpent suddenly appeared. It was long and green, and had purple ridges down its back. Its fangs were about as long as a skateboard and its yellow eyes stared into my soul. "No one has ever defeated Cetus girly, and you won't either.

I was very reluctant to call him, but he was literally my only hope. "If you're gonna use your most powerful spirit, then I'll have as well. Open, gate of the Lion, Leo!" And there he was, in his tux as usual. "Hello my princess, it's been a while." He said, and then he saw Cetus. He looked surprised, but he still had that look of confidence that always made me smile. His fists started to glow, and he started to attack the serpent. Things seemed to be going well, until something terrible happened.

Loke was able to keep the serpent back, until it tripped him with one flick of its long tail. It then came toward me, and bit me on my wrist. All of a sudden, searing pain coursed through my arm. I fell to the ground in pain, and started to see stars. "Lucy!" I heard Loke yell, and the last thing I saw before I closed my eyes was Loke punching Gem in in the face. I was still conscious and I than heard Loke come towards me. He put his arms around me, and the last thing I heard was "Hold on Lucy, just hold on."

Okay, don't worry Lucy lovers because Lucy is not dead. She is still very much alive, and will return in chapter 23 for the big LoLu moment, so don't worry!
