Scaling Down the Fun!

Part 21. Heart-Breaking News-Flash!
Simon and Theodore came out of their room; just in time to hear the bad news.
It hit them like a ton of bricks.. They were speechless and Alvin's heart sank in his chest.
When he heard Dave say, "The Chipettes are missing!"; what little strength
he had from fighting the shrews, left him.
Brittany his dearest love and her sisters are gone... Spirited away to who knows where..
His legs became wobbly and he fell on his bottom.
He cupped his eyes and started to weep. His brothers joined him. Hugging him and crying as well..
Uncle Adam had secured The Gila Monster in a wire mesh waste basket.
He then turned to see his three heartbroken Godsons.
In an assuring voice; he said,"Boys! Don't give up hope!"
He then pulled out his phone, touched it's screen, and said,
" Professor Crash-cup I need a location check on the Chipettes.
Crash-cup answered,"We have a fix 15 miles from original location. Somewhere near Bakersfield."
Uncle Adam then said ,"Good!... Notify me of any further movements."
Dave and The Chipmunks looked at Uncle Adam in awe.
The elder Seville smiled at them and slyly said,"Somebody out there has taken great pains to kill you boys.
I think we should make that somebody believe you are dead.."
Elsewhere...
Jeanette's head ached; as she felt herself waking from a bender of a hang over.
Beside her slept Eleanor, who's breath could peal paint.
Jeanette whispered, "Alcohol! Someone spiked our drink.."
She then nudged her sisters awake.
When the trio looked around everything was washed in a semi blurry state.
Slowly their vision improved and they saw that they were not in their room.
It was more like a girl's fashion doll playhouse.
The doors didn't open and a plexiglass wall kept them from escaping.
The three scurried up the staircase. The only thing which was not blocked.
They found themselves in an outdoor patio deck.. It too had the blasted plexiglass.
The only good thing was an unobstructed view of the place they were kept.
A dimly lit girl's bedroom..
All around were pictures of singers like: Cascada, Selena Gomez, and Zach Efron.
The girls hear a whining sound and scratching coming from a door.
The next thing they hear is a young girls voice calling out, "Brutus!
Why do you want to go in my room?
Is it because Papa put those dazed chipmunks in there; for me to look after?"
The door opened and in stepped a girl who could be no older than nine years old.
She gently pushed back the huge, black, Great Dane away. Then she closed the door behind her.
She placed a stack of library books on her desk.
One was a bio of Abraham Lincoln the 16th U.S. President.
The other book was titled how to care for chipmunks; and the others were novels like: The Hobbit, and
The Hunger Games.
Brittany and her sisters kept quiet, while hiding in the archway of the dollhouse.
They didn't know whether to trust this girl or not.
She wore glasses and had straight blonde hair. In fact her hair was ghostly white.
When she turned on her desk's reading light; the Chipettes got a good look at her pink eyes.
The girl was an Albino.
They also noticed that she limped a bit, because of a leg brace.
The Chipettes instinctively backed away from the archway, as the girl was walking toward the dollhouse.
She lifted the mesh top of the plexiglass and placed a bowl of seeds and pine cones on the patio deck.
The girl called out," Chipmunk girls.. I have some food for you.. "
Normally Brittany and her sisters were accustomed to the food they had with Miss Miller.
Their taste buds had expanded. Yet they were feeling hungry after the hang over.
The food looked and smelled OK. The trio started to eat as the girl looked on.
Jeanette smiled and said, "Would it be too much to ask for some orange juice?.."
The girl smiled back and said," I'll get you some."
She walked half way across the room and stopped.
She turned around with a scared expression on her face and said,"Did you just talk?"
"Of course we talk. We're The Chipettes!", declared Brittany.
"They play our music on the radio. Just like Selena Gomez or Zach Efron", Eleanor said with a smile.
The smiled settled the girl's nerves and she said," I'm Sasha... You are like The Chipmunks?"
"They are our boyfriends and if you turn on the TV, you might hear some news about us.", said Jeanette.
Sasha went to her TV and switched it on. Scanning the music channels on the cable service.
One channel had a picture of The Chipmunks. The reporter did not look too happy.
He was having trouble reading the teleprompter.
He cleared has throat and said,"Earlier today we received the tragic news of the deaths of Alvin Seville and
his brothers Simon and Theodore Seville.
The Chipmunks were killed; when Simon and Theodore were attacked and eaten by Shrews.
Alvin trying to get away.. Ran into the crushing jaws of a huge Gila Monster!
Their manager / father figure. David Seville was too distraught to talk."
There were screams of anguish coming from the doll house.
The Chipettes clung to each other and wept openly.
Their hearts were broken...
Don't worry girls.. The boys are going to get help from some really tough heroes.
