AMERICA POV

"Ames," Maxon comes in snow covering his hair and shoulders. "How long have you been watching us?" He chuckles at his state of snowed on. I set my tea on the table with a light thud.

"For a while, you looked sweet and I couldn't help it." I brush some of the snow from his hair

"Oh what any guy wants to hear; that their sweet." He jokes, his hand takes the cup from my hands and takes a sip of the tea.

"We need to get ready for dinner with your parents and the rest fo the Elite." I say taking my cup from him.

"Not allowed." He takes the cup from me and sets it on the table.

"I have to get ready," I turn to pull away.

He grabs my arm pulling me towards him, "What does a guy have to do to get a kiss around here." He pulls me even closer towards him so were body to body.

"Well," I bring my face towards his. Forehead against forehead. Blue eyes pouring into soft brown ones. "Their happens to be a two week waiting period to kiss and orphaned singer woman, It's a new rule." His lips ting into a smile.

"Of course I am a known rule breaker." He pushes a loose strand of tangled hair out of my eyes. His soft cold fingers sweetly cup my face the rough pad of his thump rubbing my lip.

"Well if you're such a rule breaker, I may have to with draw that rule. I can't let anymore rule breakers get away with their crimes can I?" Then he pulls me to him until there is nothing between us besides the fabric of our clothing.

I pull away, "I really do need to get dressed." I'm a few paces away when he pulls me back.

"You'll never be an orphan you'll always have me." He says this and its so sweet I want to cry. He lets me go with a clumsy peck on my nose.
