The Grand Final

Chapter 21: Moving In

A few days later after Wolf finally met Luna's parents, the couples decided to head to the beach again since it was hot where they were staying at being July and all. The first time they had done so, it had been fun. They also told the parents as well. Some of them decided to come along with them such as Fara and Nicholas's parents. In addition Grace decided to go as well. Then Lucas, Sarah, Mitch, and Brooke heard the news and decided to come with their families.

Everyone got new swimsuits. This time the trip went to one of the beaches at Uden. It was different because it had a boardwalk that had other things to go with the beach like shops, places to eat, play, and a few rides then the other one that had been visited. The big group stayed at the hotel by the area and didn't come out to play until the next day.

"Looks like we got here first," commented Wolf as the guys were waiting for their ladies.

"Hopefully it won't take much longer," said Slippy. The other families then came and met with the guys. Nicholas and Fara could see that their parents were talking among each other. Linden, Allen, Vincent, and Stephanie had already formed quite the friendship already.

"So are you guys ready?" asked Sarah.

"Yep, we just need to wait for them," went Bill. By that, everyone knew it was their girlfriends. Two minutes later they came out, fully clothed. Wolf raised an eyebrow when he saw Luna.

"No swimsuit?" asked the lupine. The she wolf went over to him with a giggle.

"Of course I have one silly," she cooed. "It's just I don't want you to see it yet."

"Fine then," he boyfriend answered with a cocky grin and tickled her sides. His girl let out a laugh and kissed him on the cheek. Her parents weren't here due to work. But they had warned Wolf to watch his tail around their daughter.

The large group of species found a spot for their stuff. Grace couldn't help but see all the attractive males already on the beach. She was at the point of being into guys. So far, nothing had happened yet. Maybe that would change; especially if the vixen would have to go to school here. Her parents hadn't said anything about leaving Eladard yet.

Meanwhile the girls and guys had taken their clothes off. Each of the boys couldn't help keep the shock off of their face when they saw what their girlfriends were wearing. Some of them had bikinis on with the tops being strapless. Fara, Krystal, Miyu, and Fay were the ones who did.

"Beautiful Fay," whispered Bill when he saw her. The poodle just pecked him on the lips in thanks. Everyone else began to head to the water. Wolf noticed that Luna hadn't moved.

"Do you want to swim or walk along the beach?" he asked. His eyepiece was off as usual when swimming; replaced by an eye patch.

"I could do with a dip," she replied and took off her clothes to reveal a light blue bikini with the top also being strapless. Wolf's eyes seemed to pop out of his head as he saw his girl.

"Well?" asked Luna with a smile. "How do I look?" The lupine took a moment to speak.

"You… you're beautiful." The she wolf walked over to him.

"I figured you'd like it," went Luna before hugging her boyfriend tightly.

"I don't; I love it," whispered Wolf and kissed her forehead. The two then began to walk to the water. The lupine couldn't help but notice the looks his girl was getting from the other males that weren't a part of his group. He shot glares back at them, and his tail went around Luna protectively. Occasionally a growl of protection and possession came out directed at the ones eye-fucking his girlfriend.

The first hours went by smoothly until it came time for lunch. Everyone sat on towels under umbrellas Dash and Yuki had managed to find to shade the species from the heat. The group was ravenous, having spent a lot of time in the water, swimming and playing. The sandwiches, chips, and drinks quickly disappeared. After that, everyone went their separate ways, some walking along the beach, and others checking out the boardwalk.

"I'm going to lounge on a beach chair instead," said Falco when asked what he was going to do. "Maybe get a little nap." He went over to one of the double ones, put on his shades, and laid down. Suddenly, he sensed a presence near him. He looked up and saw none other than his beautiful, feline girlfriend standing next to him.

"Mine if I join?" asked Katt. The avian patted the spot next to him. The black and white cat made her way to it and lay next to Falco. The pheasant wrapped his right wing around her, and grabbed her left paw with his left hand. Katt let out a purr of happiness with a smile, and rubbed her head against Falco's muscled chest with her eyes closed. The avian placed a kiss on top of the feline's head. There was no doubt that the two were very happy to be together as a couple.

The rest of the day passed as a perfect one. Soon it began to get dark and the boardwalk turned on some lights giving it a unique view during this time. Nicholas and Fara were walking and exploring, having gone on most of the rides already and shops. Their parents however were nowhere to be seen.

"I can't believe how perfect today was," sighed Fara as she held onto Nicholas's strong arm.

"Even with our parents here?"

"Even with them," she replied. "It doesn't matter since they like you and are happy for us."

"I know what you mean," said Nicholas and kissed her on the cheek. Fara then looked up.

"Hey, let's go on that." Her boyfriend looked to where she was pointing. It was a Ferris wheel ride. The many types of scaffolding that were in-between the cars were lit up adding to the night atmosphere. There was also a huge electric message board in front of the ride as well.

They got into one of the cars and waited for other species to get on. The ride then started and went on for a few minutes before suddenly coming to a stop with the part and non Cerinian at the very top. Both looked at one another; they hadn't heard anything that the ride would stop.

"What the hell is going on?" asked Nicholas.

"I don't know, but why do I get the feeling our parents are involved with this?" Fara was wondering like her boyfriend. They took a look around, trying to figure it out. The vulpine then spotted something in the distance, and his face lit up as he saw Linden, Vincent, Allen, and Stephanie on the side of the billboard, having just put something on it. The light coming from it was just enough to make them out.

"What are you looking at?" asked Fara. Nicholas didn't speak, but wrapped his arm around her shoulders and brought the vixen close. He then pointed at the message board. His girlfriend's face lit up in excitement, happiness, and embarrassment when she read what it said; N.M. + F.P. = Love. The words and symbols were wrapped around in a pink heart.

"Oh my god," the vixen whispered softly, covering her face with her paws. She was overjoyed with happiness and embarrassment.

"Well, at least we know just what our parents were up to." The two then looked at each other. "And… we know that they approve of us together Fara." That's all it took to make them lean forward and kiss. It was one of those moments in life where they could look back twenty years in the future.

Soon everyone went back to the hotel to sleep. It had been a wonderful day.

The months quickly passed and soon it was two days before Wolf's birthday. By this point, Luna's mother had begun to like the lupine and trust him; more so than in the beginning. But her father was still the same towards the younger male. He figured it would take some more time.

Then it became the day of his birthday and it once again found Wolf in the hot tub. Luna had joined him again.

"This is nice," sighed the she wolf, leaning up against his strong body. He let out a chuckled and stroked her back.

"It is," Wolf agreed. "But…"

"But what?"

"I still wish your father were a little mow approving of us being together."

"Just give daddy some time," said Luna. "He was like that with all my past boyfriends. It took awhile before he would warm up to them."

"God, he's so fucking overprotective."

"I know," commented the she wolf. "But he can't fully control me. Not since I'm an adult and can make my own decisions. Which is why I've done this." Luna sent her boyfriend a sweet smile and turned her body. She grabbed something from behind and presented it. It was a small box, wrapped in up in blue and red ribbons.

"Happy birthday Wolf." He was surprised. In everything that had happened, the lupine had kind of lost track of time.

"Wow, this is a surprise. Thank you." She kissed his cheek softly.

"You're welcome baby." Wolf slowly unwrapped it; making sure chunks wouldn't get into the hot tub. After laying everyone aside, he opened the box. It was a necklace, silver in color, and shaped like heart. The lupine looked at Luna's; it was practically the same.

His girlfriend had a warm smile on her face. "Open it." He did so and saw that one side had the same picture of him and Luna kissing. The other side had an inscription on it. It went like this; to the love of my life, I will always be by you. No matter the pain and storms that may come your way, I will always help you to stand up again. With much love, Luna.

The lupine looked to her, touched by her gift. "Happy birthday sweetie," she whispered. Wolf just leaned in and kissed her to which she responded in equal wanting. When the make out session was over, he put the necklace on him.

The weather then began to turn cold. And with it brought a number of colds and flues. So far nothing had happened to mercenaries. But that was about to change.

"Well this is a nice surprise," said Fay sweetly to Bill. The canine had come to pick her up from work.

"I figured you would like it," he replied with a goofy grin. They began to walk to the car. All of a sudden, the poodle let out a small sneeze.

"Uh-oh, don't tell me you're sick now." Bill look to her with puppy dog eyes.

"Relax, it's just a little-" Fay was interrupted by a bigger sneeze, followed by a small cough. She let out a painful sigh.

"Come on, let's get you home," said her boyfriend gently. His suspicions proved to be correct the next day. Fay had caught the flu that was going around. The canine did what he could to help her. Like bring her breakfast in the morning since Fay stayed in the bed to rest.

"Good morning sweetie," said Bill as he entered the room the poodle stayed in.

"Good morning baby," she responded. Her voice sounded strange, as if being held down. Fay sniffled a little. Her boyfriend placed the platter of food in front of her after the poodle managed to get in a sitting position, leaning against some pillows.

"Here, you need to eat up if you want to get better anytime soon."

"Aw, for me? How sweet." The two shared a kiss. Bill then sat on his knees watching Fay eat. She then looked up to him after a bit and saw his goofy grin.

"Entertained?"

"Yep." They shared a small laugh, but it was interrupted by a sneeze from her. After letting out a painful groan, Fay finished her meal before laying back down. Bill placed a paw on her forehead.

"Yep, feels like you're fever is up there," he commented. He brought out a cold patch and a thermometer.

"It's so nice I have you to take care of me," sighed Fay.

"Of course," answered Bill. It took a minute for the device to do its work. The two took a look. "Yeah, you're sick alright; it's 101 degrees."

The poodle just coughed in responded and let out another groan. "God this sucks," she mumbled. Fay then looked up to Bill. "At least I have you to help me get better." They shared another kiss. It would take a few days before she got better though. But at least during this time, her father saw just how caring and loving Bill was. It made the older poodle warm up to the young canine a bit more. But not by much.

The rest of the months kept passing by and then it was April. Things were still going well for the couples.

"Do you think it's alright if you and Panther came with us?" asked Nicholas to Miyu one Saturday. "There are just a lot of things we need to get done and we could use the help."

"Sure," responded the lynx. She called up the jungle cat and he was there before you could say take off. The four spent the time talking as the errands were tackled. At one point Nicholas and Miyu were by themselves since Fara and Panther were on other sides of the store collecting things.

"So can I ask you something?" asked the lynx to the vulpine. He nodded and took a drink from a water fountain. "When do you plan to pop the question to Fara?" Nicholas's eyes opened wide, and spat out the water he was drinking. After a few hard coughs, he looked over to her, surprised and embarrassed. Miyu crossed her arms, a little disappointed.

"So I guess not anytime soon then." The part Cerinian made no reply. "I wouldn't wait too long; girls don't like to wait for things like this when they know it's just around the corner. They get the feeling you only have them around for obvious reasons."

"It's not like that!" Nicholas spluttered. "I mean, we haven't even-" Miyu put her paw out in front of her.

"Stop. I don't need to know about things like that."

"Sorry," went the vulpine.

"It's okay. I just want to know one thing then. Why not ask her soon? Or why haven't you already?"

"There are a number of reasons. For one thing, I don't want to rush it with her and make a mistake. Yes, I can see myself marrying Fara. I've thought about it, but something is telling me that it's not the right time yet. Also none of you guys have shown signs yet of wanting to get married. But even if none of that was the case, I still need to end it with them."

"You mean Shade and Sakura right?" asked Miyu.

'I can't settle down with Fara until those two are dead. I'm sure they will be back someday. And when they do, I'll get them this time."

"I understand," said the lynx. Just then Panther and Fara returned. The rest of the errands passed on with no more mention of what had just been said.

A bit latter found Fox, Krystal, Nicholas, and Fara once again at the special school they were volunteering at. They were helping the young ones with their weapons.

"I can't seem to hit the target," complained one of the female students. She was practicing her special Energy Beam technique.

"Here," said Krystal and brought out her staff. "Let me give you some pointers." The blue vixen showed the young one how to do it. "Now give it a try." This time the student successfully hit the target. "Just keep practicing and you'll be a deadly shot."

"Thank you Miss Krystal," said the female. The Cerinian giggled a bit.

"Please, call me Mrs. McCloud." She sent a wink to the female, and turned to see if Fox was listening. The vulpine was red in the face.

"Alright then Mrs. McCloud," said the student with a grin and continued to practice. Krystal turned and saw Fox standing right in front of her, arms crossed, and staring at her dully.

"I don't approve of your teaching methods." He didn't sound mad, but he didn't sound happy either. His girlfriend gave him a cute smile to wear him down; it didn't work.

"Oh come on Foxy. Relax a bit. I'm just having a little fun."

"Do you really…?" began Fox but then stopped. The vixen lifted an eyebrow.

"Do I really what?" she asked.

"Never mind," said the vulpine and walked away to give the class one final lecture. Nothing more was said between the two.

It then became close to the third year advisory of the couples getting together. This time Fara won the tournament that happened. The parents that had been invited watched along with the others and were proud of her. But none more so than Nicholas. Then one day all the girls met up to have some chat time with none of the guys with them. They talked about various things.

"So how are you and Panther doing?" asked Fara to Miyu as she and all the girls sat around a table, drinking coffee where they were at.

"Oh… we're good," said the lynx.

"Oh!" exclaimed the vixen.

"Oh what?" asked Miyu.

"There was a pause."

"A pause? I didn't pause!"

"I heard one," said Katt.

"Fay?" asked Miyu.

"Pause," said the poodle.

"Oh come on!" went the lynx.

"Relax," said Amanda. "No one's relationship is without a hitch or two."

"That's true," commented Yuki. "As long as two love each other, hitches barely matter."

"I guess you're right," agreed Miyu and took a sip of her coffee.

"But hitches are important to you girlfriends, so tell us all about them!" said Nami.

The others all did a group "Yeah!"

"Well everything's fine. He's working himself up through the positions and getting closer to becoming manger of Lords, and we're thinking of the moving in together step," said Miyu. She and the jungle cat had talked about it with Nicholas since the bed and room were big enough for two people. The vulpine had yes after thinking it over. Especially since he was close to bringing up the idea to Fara. "But I wonder if I'm sealing myself off from other experiences."

"I don't know if I would jeopardize a good relationship for the possibility of adventure," said Lucy.

"If you want my opinion, you shouldn't feel obligated to take steps you aren't ready for even though you've been going out with Panther for about three years," went Luna.

"But he's such a good guy, "commented Krystal. "He's shown to be just as great as Fox."

"So how are you two doing?" asked Katt.

"It's going fine," said Krystal. "Although we've been together just as long as Miyu and Panther, he's still worried that he might make a mistake. But it wouldn't matter to me what it would be. I would still love him."

"Ironically that's how it is with me and Wolf," replied Luna with a grin.

"Well I still can't believe I've gotten together with Nicholas," said Fara. "Even after all this time." The other girl's relationships were then talked about briefly and that they were gone fine as well. But Miyu was still thinking hard about moving in with Panther. She then realized what her heart wanted her to do. The lynx made her way to her jungle cat boyfriend's work. She asked where he was and he was brought out.

"Miyu?!" he asked, a bit shocked. The lynx took his right paw and took him to a more private area. "What are you doing her-?"

Panther's question got cut off as she found his lips. He returned the kiss back and they came apart after a few moments. Miyu placed both paws on his face.

"No matter when you're done, or how tired you are, come to my place tonight," she said.

X

Panther did just that and spent the night with Miyu in the same bed. He woke up and stretched with a yawn, bare chest but wearing sweat pants. He turned to his left to see his beautiful angel sleeping. She wore a sleeping gown and had a smile on her face. The jungle cat smiled and was just about to get up when he heard her stir. Miyu opened her eyes and smiled at the love of her life. The jungle cat turned his gaze back towards her.

"Good morning," she replied in a happy, seductively tone. The lynx raised herself up into a sitting position.

""I didn't mean to wake you up early love," said Panther, and kissed her forehead. "I took today off so I could spend it with you. You should sleep in."

"No, I can stand to get up early as long as I have you besides me," went Miyu, and rubbed her nose on Panther's muscled chest, while placing a paw on his sweats.

"Is that so?' he asked.

"Panther, I love you," said Miyu. "And I want to stay by your side every night. When you're done with work, return here. Consider this "home". That's all I need."

The jungle cat smiled "Then I'll go back to my place and grab my stuff so I can move in with my lynx. And I'll stay by your side no matter what. I love you." He then kissed her passionately on the lips to which she responded back.

It took a bit to get his stuff in, but he got it finished. However, nobody was there yet of moving in even though they were thinking about bringing it up. Even so, everybody was happy. And yet, despite all this, Nicholas couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going to happen. Something that could be threatening to everyone, including himself and Fara. The vulpine had no idea how right he was.
