A/N: I'm Changing the rating and the lemon is only going to be implied. However I will write a extended verison of this chapter as a oneshot that will include the scene.

Chapter XXI

Bonds Of Love

"Well?" Galen asked the medic on the Redemption after he examined Tali.

"Physically she's fine. Just a little underfed and malnourished. She's actually in much better condition then some of the other slaves we liberated." The medic said.

"Come on Tali, let's get some food."

"So you've always been a slave?" Ahsoka asked.

"I think so." Tali said. "My early memories are really hazy. I think there were some good ones but I'm not sure. But I'm glad I got to meet Galen."

Galen smiled and rubbed her head. Tali had been his only friend while on Cato Nemodia and he was glad he had one.

"Well, I'm getting some rest. You look like you could use some to." Ahsoka said to Galen.

"True. I'll let Tali use one of the rooms on the Rogue Shadow she doesn't seem comfortable around everyone else yet."

After Tali had drifted off Galen paid a visit to the brig.

"Nute Gunray." He said.

"Hey Jedi, get me out of here. I'll make it worth your while."

"Help you!?" Galen snarled.

Uh oh, Gunray thought, what did I do wrong? He thought, figuring he could get anybody on his side with the right offer.

"Allow me to make something clear to you sliemo! You made me fight in your arena, you tormented Tali, you put a price on my friend Senator Amidala's head, and you expect me to help you? You better hope someone doesn't break you out cause next time I hunt you down there won't be anything left to bring back." He started to walk away.

"But you're a Jedi. If you violate the code you'll be expelled. You want to remain a Jedi don't you?"

"Maybe. Or maybe," he said as he turned, "I'm willing to do whatever the fuck it takes to end this damn war!" he shouted as he force pushed Gunray against the wall. Then he left.

On the bridge…

"We weren't in favor of you diversion to Cato Nemodia." Mace Windu said.

"I know Masters. But I thought it best we rescue him." Ahsoka said.

"Right you were. Because of this, captured Gunray we have." Yoda said.

"We managed to liberate many of the slaves but the planet remains under Separatist control."

"For now that is enough." Mace said.

"Wait, some of the slaves have asked to join our militia and the other's have nowhere to go. I was thinking, maybe we should set up refugee camps on Coruscant. While this war continues a lot of people are gonna end up homeless."

"As noble as that is only the Senate can make a decision like that." Obi-Wan said.

"I understand Masters. We will arrive on Coruscant in one day for the debriefing."

After the council's hologram disappeared Galen said, "I bet if we suggested it to Senator Amidala she would make a motion in the Senate to set up refugee camps on Republic planets."

"It's probably not good for Jedi to get involved in politics so much." Ahsoka said.

"Wars are fought on two fronts. The frontlines where soldiers, Commanders, and Generals serve. The Senate is the other front. If we're gonna end this damn war we're gonna need there help. And just for the record I hate politics. But I trust Senator Amidala."

"True, she isn't like the others."

"I'm gonna get some rest, you should too."

"Right, see you tomorrow Galen."

Ahsoka yawned and stretched feeling refreshed. That was a good rest, huh? Where the Hell is my lightsaber!? She double checked her belt and every inch of her room. She had her shoto but her long sword was missing.

"Barriss!" Ahsoka said when she caught her freind leving the mess hall. "Was anyone in my room last night?"

"I don't know, but I did see Galen with you lightsaber about an hour ago if that's why you're wondering."

"Where?"

"Heading for his ship."

Galen was very careful with the fusion cutter as he hollowed out a small piece of the handle of Ahsoka's lightsaber so he didn't damage it.

"Galen?" she asked entering the meditation room, "Why did you take my lightsaber?"

He smiled as he fished putting it back together and handed it to her. "Here, I put a tracker in it and synched it with the one I put in my own. So long as we have our lightsabers we can always find each other."

He almost lost his balance because of the force of Ahsoka's hug. He gently stroked her head tails and she suddered in delight.

"Do that again." She demanded.

He smiled and continued to stroke her head tails.

In Padmè's office...

"Camps for war refugees? Why didn't I think of that?" Padmè said, sounding enthusiastic.

"So you'll make a motion for it the Senate?" Galen asked.

"Of course, I'll even volunteer Naboo."

"Thanks, I'll observe the meeting, see how it goes."

Galen and Ahsoka watched the Senate convene from one of the balconies surrounding the room.

"Chancellor Palpatine," Padmè began, "It has come to my attention that many people are ending up homeless because of the war. These refugees will need a place to stay until their homes are repaired or their planets freed from Seperatist control. I propose that we set up camps on secure planets for these refugees until the war ends."

Many senators seemed to agree and when the vote was cast Galen and Ahsoka smiled for it was in Padmè's favour.

"But neera, I don't want to leave!" Tali said as the refugees boarded the ship.

"Tali," Galen said, "I must continue to fight in the war my young friend. That is no place for a child like you. At the camps you will be safe."

"Will you visit?"

"When I can."

Tali still looked ready to burst into tears but she got the ship and he watched as it flew away.

"Master," PROXY asked over his comm link, "Won't the Jedi notice a change in their security system?"

"That's why we're being discreet. PROXY." Galen said. "Do as I asked then return to the Rouge Shadow."

"Very good Master." PROXY said and Galen shut off the comm as he walked inot the Council room were Ahsoka was already being briefed.

"Yes Masters?" he asked.

"Since you will be fully recovered soon we are sending the two of you back to the Outer Rim soon." Mace said.

"May I ask were?"

"You will be assisting the seiges in the Jospro sector. Ahsoka, you will be assiting you master in the Noonian sector."

"Of course Masters." she said, but she was worried. Her and Galen would be sent to diffrent sides of the Outer Rim, if something happened she wouldn't know."

If only I knew who Vader was! Galen thought, I could stop him! But killing a Jedi, I'd be branded a traitor and... I'd lose Ahsoka. I'll have to tell her everything soon.

knock knock

"Galen?"

"Ahsoka? Come in."

The slid open adn seh walked in looking worried. "We're being sent back tommorow and we're being sent to diffrent sides of the Outer Rim."

"I know."

"Galen I... I want to spend te night with you, but not like we already have."

"You mean?"

"Yes."

"...Okay." he said as he took her in his arms kissing her passionatly and they began to remove eaother's clothes.

"This way, we'll always have tonight." she said.

"Always." he said as he turned off the lights.

Galen awoke the next morning with Ahsoka's nude body against his. She looked angelic in her sleep and he held her closer. She stirred and opened her eyes slowley.

"Is it morning already?" She asked.

"I'm afraid so."

Ahsoka sighed before she sat up and streached.

"I'll be fine Ahsoka." Galen said, knowing what Ahsoka was thinking.

"And so will I." She said, knowing he was thinking the same thing.

"We better hurry."

Ahsoka boarded the Resolute as Galen boarded the Redemption. they both looked at the lightsaber with the tracker in it and knew they had nothing to worry about.
