Chapter 21:
A/N: Wow that was what? 7 chapters in about 2 hours? Well I will not bother you for a while now, here's my last chapter for this month. Hopefully by the beginning of next month, or maybe even sooner I shall have some more for you! But for now just read!
"I assume you all know why I have gathered you here today." James began in a serious voice.
"No actually. I don't- you forced us remember?" Sirius interjected.
"Shut up Padfoot." James replied with barely a glance in Sirius's direction.
"James could you get to the point please I have rounds in 10 minutes." Remus said, a hint of inpatients sounding in his voice.
"Right-" James began again, taking in the 4 girls plus Sirius and Remus- Peter had gone missing for the past few hours. "We'll we're here because we need to come up with a plan to get Lily back to her normal self."
Marlene scoffed suddenly, smirking at James, "oh don't tell me you actually miss her snapping at everything you say."
"James has a point Mars, having her constantly snapping at him- or anyone really beats her avoiding us all like the plague. We really should do something." Amelia said.
"Guys I don't think anything we do is really going to help, she needs time to heal." Alice said softly.
"She has been healing Ally! For a whole month! Actually it stopped being termed as that after two weeks. This isn't normal, Lily isn't like this... Remember Joanna?" Amelia said, her voice softening at the end.
"That was different Amy and you know it." Marlene snapped.
"How was it different? She was her best friend- I'm sorry Mars but you weren't really much at that point." Amy retorted.
"Wait just a minute- are you talking about Joanna Adams? The girl who died second year?" Sirius asked suddenly.
"Wasn't she a Hufflepuff? What does that have to do with Lily?" Remus asked.
"Up until 3rd year none of us were really, umm close so to speak, with Lily..." Mary started.
"It wasn't that we didn't like her, we really did- it's just that she was sort of always with Snape and..." Marlene continued, looking solemnly downward.
"And we couldn't understand why she would choose a slimy Slytherin over us. She got mad at us at some point during first year and became friends with Joanna- since she was pretty much a loner. Once Joanna died Lily became sort of detached- she didn't talk to anyone for almost three weeks. But one day she just kind of snapped out of it and everything went back to normal... We thought it would be the same this time around but I guess not." Amelia finished.
"I have an idea." Sirius said suddenly, making it obvious how little attention he was paying to the girls.
"Si- we're not getting her drunk." Marlene said, her tone dejected.
"Come in Mars give me a little credit- that was plan B. now before you interrupt me let me explain. We give her one more week- no listen Prongs. We give her one more week- it will be Easter hols by then. Normally I know most of us stay behind... I propose a trip this year for a change." He finished with a smirk.
"Brilliant idea, Sirius really. Except you forgot the fact that Lily is the most bloody stubborn person alive. She will not agree to this willingly." An exasperated Amelia said.
"Who said anything about her being willing?" Sirius retorted.
"Alright Black, I'll bite- what's the plan?" Marlene said, her voice suddenly showing a trace of interest.
"Thank you my love," said Sirius- which earned him a glare from Marlene, "my dear cousin Andy sent over a letter last night, she offered for me to go along and spend the week there, and obviously bring along some of my mates. You could all come with and we will just drag dear old Lilykens along... With some help of cause."
"She'll never agree to that and you know it Pads. There's no way we could convince her." James said with irritation.
"She might," Mary said suddenly, "If we get her dad to help us."
"Oh Mary that's brilliant!" Alice exclaimed, a wide grin on her face.
"That might just work, let me handle it." Marlene said, jumping up and rushing to get a quill from her bag.
"Are you sure? I mean how would her dad help?" James asked, his tone skeptical.
"Don't worry James, we've done this before."
"Alright, well I guess that settles it, let us know when he's replied, Padfoot you should write to your cousin in the meantime and I should be getting to rounds. Bye all" Remus finished, standing up and making his way out the tower.
"Come on McKinnon, I'll walk you to the owlery." Sirius drawled, as the rest of the group began to scatter.
Marlene rolled her eyes and allowed Sirius to walk her, it was after hours and he would know how not together caught.
A/N: Aaaaand scene! Okay I know, really really short. And kinda cliff-hangerish- is that a word? I think it should be a word.
I would like to take a moment to talk about this book I'm reading, it's called looking for Alaska, by John Green. I'm kinda really into John Green atm, his writing is just brilliant and so relatable. Anyway if anyone else is reading it or any John Green let me know and we can fangirl together!
For now you can just drop a review and maybe follow? Or favourite? I don't know it's up to you really… but it would make me really happy! Okay by now I have Disney movies to watch! Tata all!
