More Than You Think You Are

Epilogue:

When will you tell them the truth?

"How are they doing," Jason Wright asked looking at his big sister with no small bit of concern.

"Well I think," Zoya said, "They've both been busy. Nick's got a new case, and Miles is doing—whatever he does... I wanted to tell you thanks for everything. I wanted them to know about—but I didn't want to get into all the nitty-gritty. The whole thing was a welcome distraction."

"Anytime, sis," Jason said, "I haven't had that much fun in a while. They both turned out well too."

"Well," Zoya said, "Greg was a lawyer, I guess they had it in their blood."

"So when are you going to tell them the rest of the story?"

Zoya hesitated and then frowned, "I don't know if I can."

"You owe it to your sons, Z," Jason said.

"You're probably right," Zoya said.

"I'm always right," Jason said.

"I'm just," Zoya said haltingly, "I'm afraid of stirring up more grief. The twins have gone through a lot. I don't want what happened to trouble them. I don't know how to tell them without either of them taking it the wrong way."

"I think they're old enough to handle the truth, Z," Jason said, "They're not kids anymore."

"Yeah," Zoya said, "I just need more time."

"Don't wait too long, Z."

"Do you always have to be so cryptic?"

"Edgeworth."

"Hey bro," Phoenix said into the phone with a grin that could probably be heard through the line.

"What do you need?" Edgeworth said.

"I have a quick question," Phoenix said, "Do you know Klavier Gavin?"

"Yes of course," Edgeworth said, "He is one of the new prosecutors in our district. Why?"

"I just inherited the Gramarye case. He's the prosecutor."

"I see," Edgeworth said, "Good luck to you, then."

"Wait," Phoenix said, "Should I be worried?"

"Really, do I have to remind you that you've beaten every prosecuting prodigy that's ever faced you? Are you actually worried?"

"I guess not," Phoenix said, "But I was hoping that maybe you could give a few insights—"

"Are you suggesting that I help you cheat?"

"It's not really... If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying," Phoenix said, "Come on, Miles."

Edgeworth made a noise, "I'm very busy, Wright, unless you have a serious inquiry, I can't do anything for you. "

"Okay," Phoenix said, "What are you doing anyway?"

"Never you mind," Edgeworth said, "Now really, I should go."

"Okay," Phoenix said, "Dinner at Mom's on Saturday?"

Edgeworth paused, "We shall see."

"Okay I love you bye!" Phoenix said and he hung up before Edgeworth could protest.

A/N: Thanks to everyone for reading MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE.

This story was one of the most fun to write, so much so, that I've decided to begin a sequel. Yes, Phoenix is about to be disbarred. Mom hasn't told them the whole truth. Edgeworth is about to choose the Prosecutor's path. Sound familiar? How will it all happen when they also happen to be twins?

Please stay tuned for BETTER THAN IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN coming November 2015!

(Or you know... Don't. I'm sure you'll read it if you want to...)
