Number Five Part I

Annabeth POV…

I sat on the toilet, looking at the test in my hand that I got yesterday when I realize that I was late. It was positive. I thought that we were done. We had two of each. We were happy with what we have.

There was a knock on the door. "Are you okay, Annabeth?" Percy asked from the other side of the door.

I threw the test in the trash and put toilet paper over it to hide it from Percy. I knew that I was going to have to tell him but I didn't want to do it right now. We had to get the kids up and ready for school. I get up and opened the door. Percy was standing there in his old Navy sweats. He was barefoot and had no shirt on. I gave him a smile and walk around him.

"I'm fine," I head for the door.

"Are you sure?" He asked. I saw the concern on his face. I wanted to tell him but then we would never get the kids to school and he would be late for work.

"Yeah," I opened the door. I could tell that he didn't believe me. I left before he could say anything. I got the kids up and to school. Percy left for work. Jamie came and started to watch Jake. Jake is going to start school in a year and half. Percy and I talked about what was going to happen when the time came. We weren't going to need Jamie anymore because I worked from home so I could pick up the kids and have time for work. Now there is going to be another. I gave Jake and Jamie a smile before going in my office.

A little after noon a got a text from Percy.

Seaweed Brain: Did I do anything wrong?

Me: No.

Seaweed Brain: Is everything alright with the kids?

Me: All the kids are okay.

Seaweed Brain: What is going on, Wise Girl?"

Me: I'll tell you when you come home today.

Seaweed Brain: Alright. Love you!

Me: Love you, too!

I smiled as I put my phone down. He always makes me smile no matter what is going on. I look down at my stomach. We will be okay with another child. If we can do it with four throwing another in the mix shouldn't be that hard. I wonder what this one is going to be. I touched my stomach. I was growing another person in there.

It was nice to see what the person growing inside of you turns out to be. Danny is turning into a nice young man, the girls are more beautiful every day and Jake is as bright as ever. I wonder what this one will look like. Thinking about the child made the day go quicker.

My office door opened and Percy walked in. He closed the door. He gave me a look. I glanced at the clock to see that he was early today. "What is going on?" He asked. "Because I can tell when something is bothering you." That is problem about marrying your best friend they can tell when you are upset or happy.

I smiled at my husband and place my hand on my stomach. "We're going to have a baby." Percy had a look of disbelief before he made his way over to me and pulled me in a kiss.

He broke the kiss. "We're going to have another baby." I nodded. "This is going to be number five," Again I nodded. "Wow. I thought that we were done."

"I did, too." I smiled.

"When did this happen?" Percy asked. I gave him a look at which he smiled. "How far along are you?" He asked.

"I don't know. I still have to make an appointment with Dr. Fly." I said. Percy nodded.

"Alright," He took me in his arms again and kissed me. I broke the kiss and placed my head on his chest. He kissed the top of my head and we just stood there.

There was a knock on the door. "Mom, Dad," We heard Danny's voice on the other side of the door. Percy and I let out a laugh before breaking apart. I open the door to our oldest son. He had his hands on his hips.

"Yes, Danny." I said.

"I was wondering if we could go to the park." I traded a look with Percy. He shrugged his shoulders. I wanted to kill him. How can we go from being lovers to me wanting to kill him? I will never know. I glanced at the clock to see that it was only four. I didn't see a reason not to go.

"Sure but Dad has to change and I have to get to the others together. I'm going to need your help." I said. Danny nodded and ran off to get his sisters. "Go change Daddy," I pushed Percy towards the stairs.

"Do you think Daddy could celebrate with Mommy later?" Percy smiled.

"We'll see, Mr. Jackson." Percy nodded before running upstairs. I shook my head at him.

"Annabeth Jackson," the nurse said. Percy and I got up and followed her to the back. She put us in a room and took my measurements before leaving. Percy was walking around the room.

"It has been while since we have been in this room." Percy looked around the room. I nodded. The door opened and Dr. Fly came in the room.

"Hello, Annabeth, Percy. It has been awhile since you have been in here," Dr. Fly smiled.

"Yes this was unexpected." I said. Dr. Fly smiled.

"Let's take a look," We nodded and Dr. Fly got to work. She smiled. "You're about six weeks along. Everything looks good." We talked about what I was going to have to do with this pregnancy.

After the appointment Percy and I got in the car. Percy started to drive. He threw me a smile. "You know what happen six weeks ago," I gave him a look. "We went to the party that the Thomas's' were throwing for New Year's."

We had come home from the party. I might have had a little too much to drink. I was hanging on to Percy. We opened the door to our house. "Get rid of the babysitter," I whispered in Percy's ear. "And I'll meet you up stairs." I felt Percy nod. I went upstairs and Percy went to pay the babysitter.

Percy came upstairs to our room to find me sitting on bed with my dress pulled up. He closed the door before taking off his jacket. He made his way to the bed and leaned down to kiss me. We soon found ourselves on the bed.

"Shut up, Percy," I said as we drove home. He smiled.

"I was only going to say that our baby was conceived that night." I gave him a look but he smiled. He leaned over and gave me a kiss at a red light. When the light turned green, Percy drove off. "I love you, too." I shook my head at him. "What do you think we are going to have?" He asked as we pulled in the driveway.

"I don't know. What do you think?" I asked.

"A girl," He said. I shook my head at him and got out of the car.

"What makes you say that?" He got out of the car.

"We like to do things in a pattern. I mean it was boy, girl, girl, boy." I shook my head.

"That means nothing," I said as I went in the house. "And I'm not having twins again."

"How can you tell?" He followed me in the house.

"Dr. Fly would have told us." I said. I had a feeling that Percy was making a face at me. I smiled then had someone run into me. It was Jake. I picked him up. I saw that Danny had ran to Percy asking why he was he was home early.

Jamie was in the family room with the girls. When she saw me, she stood and came towards me. I put Jake down and he went to play with his sisters. "Annabeth, the school called about Danny." I sighed. What did he do now? "His teacher would like to see you and Percy to talk about him." I nodded. I would have to give Danny's teacher a call later and set up appointment with her.

"Thank you, Jamie," She nodded and went to pick up her bag. I watched her leave. Percy and Danny came in the room.

That night Percy and I laid in bed. I told him about the appointment with the teacher. He nodded and placed a hand on stomach. "When do you want to start telling people?"

"In six weeks or more," I said. Percy leaned over and kissed me. We both went to sleep.

Percy POV…

Here I was sitting on a chair that was too small for me. Annabeth and I were here at the kids' school. Danny had done something and we had to talk about it. I remember every time that I had these talks with a teacher or a principal I had gone to a different school. I didn't like this. I didn't want to send Danny to a different school.

Ms. Hasson smiled at us before she folded her hands in front of her. "Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, I would like to talk about Danny." We nodded. "Danny had started to hang out with these troublemaker boys, which is normal for boys his age. It doesn't help that his friend Fred moved away and all he has his friends Emily and Melissa. The boys tease him because he had only girls for friends. So he started to hang out with boys."

"Is he getting in trouble?" Annabeth asked.

"No, they haven't done anything that seven year old haven't done before. The thing that I'm worried about is his grades. Ever since he started to hang with these boys his grades have started to slip."

Danny was a good student why was he doing this. I shook my head. "Thank you Ms. Hasson. We'll talk to him and see what is going on and see if he can bring his grades up." Ms. Hasson nodded.

"Thank you," Ms. Hasson stood up. We stood up too. "We'll talk in a month to see if there is any improvement." Annabeth shook her hand then I did. We left. I could tell that Annabeth was mad about something. I decide not to say anything.

We got in the car and drove home. As soon as I put the car in park, Annabeth was out of the car and making her way to the house. I got out and followed her in the house.

"Daniel Jackson," Annabeth yelled. It almost shook the house. The other kids were looking at Annabeth. It looked like Jake was to cry. Jamie went and picked him up. I could tell that Danny was hiding. He had known that we had a meeting with his teacher. He wasn't going to come out of his hiding place with Annabeth this mad.

"Percy, find your son." I nodded. At this moment I would just do what Annabeth said. She was about seven weeks pregnant and her morning sickness was starting. I only nodded and watched her head for her office, Jamie smiled at me. I rolled my eyes. I knew where he was.

I went upstairs and to his room. The place was a mess. He was going to have to this room up. I made my way around toys and clothes to the closet. I opened the door and there was Danny sitting on the floor. I sat down next to him. I just sat there looking at his blue wall. I knew in a few years that this room was going to change from a little boy's room to a teenage boy room. Then he'll be too big to hide in the closet. One day he could be driving and going to college, getting married, having kids and having talks in the closets. It would be a full circle from today. I shook my head. He was only eight.

I waited for him to say something. It didn't take long before he did. "Is Mom mad at me?" I nodded.

"Do you know about what?" I said.

"That I'm hanging out with boys who get in trouble." He said.

I didn't know what Annabeth was mad about but I would have to guess that it was to do with his grades. "I think it might be your grades," I said.

Danny looked at me. "My grades," He said. I nodded.

"Your grades are falling and your teacher is worried about you." I said.

"Nat said that school work was for girls," Danny said.

"So you have stop doing your work?" I asked. He nodded. What did I tell him? I sighed. If I didn't take care of it, Annabeth would and she wouldn't like it at all. She would have him staying after school to do his work. He wouldn't enjoy that at all. She might even say that he had to stop being friends with these boys. That was going to work because he would just want to be their friends more and get in more trouble. "How about this, you bring your school work home and work on it here. Your friends will never have to know what you are doing and your grades will go up."

Danny got up. "Thanks dad," He almost hit his head on something but I stopped him.

"Can I make a suggestion?" He nodded before climbing over me to get out. "See if you are someone different when you are around them or are you Danny," He gave me a confused look. "Think on it and you will know." I got up and out of the closet. "Let's go talk to Mom now." He nodded.

We went downstairs and I told Annabeth what is going to happen and that I took care of it. She gave me a look like I could do something. I just smiled went to talk to my girls.

"Percy," I heard. I was putting on my shirt for work because Annabeth and I had an appointment with Dr. Fly then I was going to work after that.

"Yeah," I yelled back. I button up my shirt.

"Come here," She sounded scared. I sighed. I wonder where she was.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"The kids' bathroom." I left my doorway and went to the kids' bathroom.

Annabeth standing against the wall. I looked at her and she pointed to a spot on the wall. "Kill it," She said. I looked at the wall and saw that it was a spider. I tried not to laugh as I took a piece of toilet paper. I killed the spider and threw in the toilet before flushing it.

I went over to her. "It is gone," I got out through the laughter. Annabeth hit me on the arm.

"Shut up." She moved around me. "I still hate spiders." She walked out of the bathroom.

"You can take monsters but little tiny spiders get you," I followed her out. She threw me look over her shoulder.

She was about to say something when we heard the fighting. We went to the girls to see that they were over a doll. "Girls it is not time for that. The doll will be here when you get home from school." They looked like they wanted to say something but Annabeth gave them a look. They put the doll down and left the room.

"I wonder what it is going to be like when they are fighting over clothes and boys." I said. Annabeth didn't say anything just left the room. I sighed and followed her downstairs.

We got the kids to school then went to our appointment. Dr. Fly was happy to see us and told us that everything was looking good. That if we wanted to tell people we could. We left and got in the car.

"So how do we want to tell first?" I asked. I started the car and drove home to drop Annabeth off.

"Let's tell the kids tonight then we could video chat our parents this weekend and tell them." She said. I nodded and pulled in front of our house. Annabeth leaned over and kissed me before getting out of the car. I watched her walk to the house and get in before I drove off to work.

That night I got home to find that Zoe and Eliza weren't happy about something and I'm guessing it had something to do with the doll that they had earlier. Jake and Danny were playing together. I saw Annabeth at the stove putting the finishing touches on dinner. There was a smile on her face. I kissed her before asking about the girls. "What is wrong with them?"

"They were fighting over the doll and I took it away from them." Annabeth hand me something to put on the table. I nodded before putting the thing on the table and went upstairs to change. When I got back downstairs we sat down to eat. Annabeth looked at me to start.

"Mommy and I have something to tell you," All four of them looked at me.

"Daddy and I are going to have a baby, so that means that you are going to have a little brother or sister in six months." The girls smiled at each other.

"I want a little sister," Eliza said.

"Me, too." Zoe said.

I saw that Danny was making a face. Jake didn't know what was going on so he played with his food that he had in front of him. Danny started to pick at his food. Annabeth and I traded a look. Zoe and Eliza were talking about what names the baby could have. I think I heard names from every Disney movie ever made.

After dinner, we cleaned up and helped the children with their homework and playing with them before it was bath time. Jake was out before I put his head on the pillow. Annabeth was getting the girls ready for bed. I went to Danny's room. He was lying in bed in his pajamas reading a comic. I sat on his bed.

"Hey, is something wrong?" I asked. He looked over his comic at me and shook his head. "How do you feel about Mom and me having another baby?" I asked. I knew he was upset about that.

"That is great," He said without looking at me. I could hear that his voice in one tone. He was not happy about this.

"Danny, what don't you like about it? And don't lie because I will know." I took the comic out if his hands and set it on his side table.

He crossed his arms. "Why do you and Mom need to have another baby? Don't you have enough? You have me and Zoe and Eliza and Jake so why do you need another one. Don't you love us?"

"Mom and I want another baby because we want to show our love to each other. We love all of us guys. Every time we have another one our hearts grow a little bigger each time. Each one of you have a special place in our hearts. So us having another baby doesn't stop us from loving you."

"What is special about me?" Danny smiled. I looked away for a second to think. "Dad," Danny laughed and hit me on the arm.

"Well, you are our oldest and we had to learn everything with you first before the others got here. You are our first and that is special to us." Danny nodded. "Come on let's get under the covers it is time to sleep." Danny nodded. He crawled under. I kissed the top of his head. "Goodnight Danny," I headed for the door.

"Dad," Danny said when I got to the door.

"Yeah, buddy." I said.

"I want a brother so we can outnumber the girls." Danny was sounding sleepy.

"Yeah, sounds good." I turned off his light and closed his door most of the way. I shook my head. I was hoping for a little boy too.

That weekend we skype our parents letting them know that there was going to be another grandchild coming so. My mother was very happy about having another grandchild. Paul gave us a smile. Fred was glad. He gave me a look for getting his daughter pregnant again. Annabeth's step-mom was happy. They got to talk to the kids for a second before it was time to go.
