Take Two

Spencer stood their waiting for her son to get out of school. She was nervous, she wanted to make sure she didn't fuck it up. As she saw the kids come out, she looked for her son. There he came, stopping to look for her. Soon as his eyes locked onto hers, he ran.

"Mommy!" Spencer picked him up hugging him.

"Hey baby boy!" It felt good to be able to hold her son, the other night he fell asleep before she could really spend time with him.

"Ma said you were picking me up, I was so excited I barely could sleep" Spencer laugh as she grabbed her sons bag walking them to the car.

"Mommy this is grandmas, and grandpas car"

"Yes it is, they are letting me use it. So What would you like to do before I have to get you back to Ma's?"

"Can we go to the park?" Spencer smiled

"Of course sweet heart"

As they drove Asher explain how is day went, and how he has to be in a play. He has to learn a certain song, and dance moves. Spencer smiled listening to her son talk, she couldn't believe this was happening.

"Mommy are you back for good like Ma?" Spencer pulled into the parking spot, getting out to open the door for Asher.

"I am Asher, is that okay?"

"Ya I missed you" they hugged again, then went off to play at the park.

Ashley sat in her office at home trying to keep busy, she was nervous about letting Spencer taking Asher. She knew she just need to relax, that nothing was going to happen. Asher was Spencer son, she wouldn't let anything happen to him. Just then her phone was ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey It's Emily, just making sure we were still on for tonight?" Ashley forgot she had another date with Emily.

"Well to be honest I forgot, and I don't have a babysitter for Asher. Can we maybe reschedule?" She did like Emily, but she needed to focus on Asher and Spencer for right now.

"Yah of course, I will text you later okay?" Ashley knew she probably had hurt Emily feelings, but she couldn't ask the carlins last min to watch Asher.

"Okay, bye Emily"

Ashley hung up her phone, returning to her laptop. She was in the middle of setting up some meetings with Linda Perry. They decided they would work out of Ashley studio at her house, until Ashley could find a spot to open a studio. She looked up at the clock, Spencer would be here any minute with Asher. She finished her last minute, and went up to the kitchen. She decided they were just going to have pizza, she was too tired to cook.

"Ma I'm home!" Ashley let out a relieve, her baby boy was home.

"Hey buddy, how was school?"

"Boring, but I had an awesome time with mommy" she smiled and ran her hand through his hair, he really needed to get a hair cut.

"Okay go wash up, we are having pizza" he smiled and took of towards the bathroom.

Ashley looked over to Spencer who was standing in the door way, she looked very tired.

"Did he wear you out?" she nodded.

"That boy sure knows how to stay busy"

"What did you guys end up doing?"

"We went to the park, then fed some ducks at the pond, and he wanted ice cream. I told him he should spoil his dinner. So we walk the beach, and came here" Ashley nodded.

"Thanks for picking him up, and bringing him here."

"Anytime, Well I better get going" Spencer turned to leave.

"Spencer, would you like to stay for dinner?" Ashley didn't know why she asked her, but she wanted the girl to stay longer.

"Please mommy stay!" Asher said coming around the corner running up to her.

"Okay, I guess I can stay for some pizza"

"Ya! Mommy come with me, I'll show you all my stuff" The two girls laughed, as the little boy pulled his mother to his room.
