sorry guys it took me a long time to write this. l mean l know how its gonna end, but writing between chapters is a little hard for me. but as l was writing everything just flowed right into place.
Matsako wolk up to feel a unplesantness tug at her. she noticed that a thick wire with thorns was rapped around her body and neck. As she tried to move it cute though her skin and blood poured out.
"what is happening to me?"
"dont worry." said a voice. but it was not the voice Matsako was hoping to hear.
"Manika, what are planning to do with me?"
"nothing, at least not now. your friends are looking for you. l must do something so that they would not find this room." and the shadow dissapaired. Mitsako stared up at the cieling.
"Naru...please be alright."
"l think l found it." said John.
"did you find the secreate door?" Monk asked walking over to the place John was standing.
"yes, there seems to be lines on the walls cute here and here" he traced his finger agenced the carvings, showing everyone.
"Then open it." said Ayako in depanding voice.
"l will, we just need to move this shelf." Monk, John and lin helped move the shelf out from its spot and into another direction. finished with that assignment, they moved onto to their next assignment.
"Naru" Mai said pulling back from the warm hug. Naru looked at her puzzled.
"yes."
"The others." she said between breaths.
"John, Ayako, lin, and Bousan are gonna find the hidden door in the tea room. They will open it and find many rooms inside. If they do that they would consider splitting up, but they can not do that." her voice sounded a little frightened and panicking.
Tthey can not split up. That what they want. That's what the house wants and she."
"you mean Manika." Mai nodded.
"That's why you must warn them. you must go to them and tell them before its to late!"
"but what about you, l just cant leave you here." he said almost sounding frightened himself when he thought of her being alone and something happened again.
"Naru lm all better know, trust me. The only think that can hurt me is myself."
"Mai, l left you once already, lm not gonna leave you again."
"Naru." she paused. she almost sounded like she was pleading.
"dont you understand. l want to protect you, l want to protect all of you. l'm the only one who can do that. so please Naru do this for me." Naru rolled his eyes as if to say okay. Mai only gave him a huge smile and she seemed to calm down a bit. but Naru noticed something else about Mai. he noticed through her eyes and the way she smiled that she was thinking of something else. Naru felt worried leaving her alone again, but she wanted him to do this so he was gonna. He got off the bed and walked to the door. He stopped and turned back. This might have been the perfect time. Maby the only time. He walked up to Mai. He sat next to her. He took Mai's hand and locked his lips with her's.
Mai had waited for this moment as long as she can remember. The first time she felt feelings for him. It was exactly as she thought it would be. perfect. she felt the warmness spread around them and everything felt like fireworks. she now knew his feelings for her.
He pulled back and walked to the door. He opened to leave when Mai stopped him. He looked back at her.
"Naru, thanks." he only smiled and left.
They opened the door and stepped inside. The room was dark and a deep sent of blood spread around the place. lin lit up a flashlight. Many rooms were seen with numbers.
"wow, look at this place." Ayako said looking around.
"it seems to be many rooms here for us all to look at all these rooms. lets split up to cover more ground." lin instructed.
"good idea." John said. all of them took out a pair of flashlights and were about to seperate form eachother.
"No!" they heard a deep tone. They all turned back to see Naru through the door way, breathing heavily. Everyone smiled as they saw Naru.
"so l take it everything all right with Mai." monk spoke happy to see him and concluded since he is back Mai is all right.
"she was in a lot of pain when l came, but she is all right now. but she told me to tell you something."
"what is it?" Ayako asked.
"dont split up." everyone looked weirdly at Naru.
"what do you mean? if we dont we wont find Masako." John said.
"if you split up something bad would happen, and then you'll never find her. It would be better if we stay together as a group and try to look for her then."
"Mai told you to tell us this. why didn't she come with you?" Naru shrugged becouse he did not have an another for that question.
"voices, l hear voices. its from them! their close, they found me. oh Naru please come quick." just then something amazing happened. a beautiful bright light shined. Masako looked at were the glow was coming from and noticed it was from the necklace.
"you have triggered it." said the ghost lady next to her. Masako was relived to see her there.
"your love for these people and that person has triggered the stares power." soon she was freed from the wires and her bloody kimono was transformed into a white one. Masako got up over joyed and saw a white faint light leading her out of the room. she opened the door.
They heard a squeaky sound. It sounded like a door was opening. Everyone focused their attention to the sound. Then they saw the person they were searching all along. Masako smiled to happily as she saw them in front of her. she ran strate at them.
"l have never been so happy to see you." she said.
"we too. How did you get out of there?" Ayako aked. Masako smiled at her.
"it dose not matter how, at least l did." they proudly all smiled.
"lets get out of here." John said. They all started heading for the door.
"lets go get Mai and get out of here. This case has gotten way to dangerous for us." Naru said.
"so your just planning to run away. Naru we now know that the ghosts are not the ones, but the victims. we know that one person is behind all this. Mankia."
"and the house." Naru added. everyone looked at him.
"what do you mean the house?"
"l have found out that this house is a demon itself, it gives Manika the power t take away thee pain unless she kills. MAI talks a lot about it, but that is all l know so far."
"Naru we must not run away from this case we must do something to stop this house." Masako said. Then she noticed something sitting on the table in the tea room. she walked up to it and looked at the carved letters.
"what dose this mean." she said holding it in her hands. osamo walked up to her and looked at the carvings.
"oh my, at the mail box in the front of the house, l saw letters that spelled out tani, but looked to be some missing. could these be the missing letters."
"put together it would spell Mai's last name. could this mean Mai used to live here and she has a lot to do with this house?"
Mai lay on the bed for a long period of time. Thinking about what had just happened. It was everything she wanted just that one thing, she wanted to know his feelings for her and now knows. He had proved it with a kiss. she was in a daze thinking about all this.
she sat up suddenly remembering what she had to do. she felt disappointed, upset that she couldn't spend more time with Naru. she did not want to leave. she knew by leaving she would be letting everyone down, but its for their own good, it was too keep them save. she didn't want anybody else to get hurt because of her, because she refused to stop it.
she opened the door and left the room. she walked In the dark halls of the house, trying to find a room. A secrete room that was supposed to protect a secrete. she had trouble finding this room and thought that it would be located in some place of the house that no one would thought to look. she walked to the other side of the house. walking down the hall she came apone a strange room and thought someone she knew was insdie. she was right, it was him, it was Mooso.
He looked at her oddly, as if ashamed to be in the same room as her. Mai tried to force a smile and turned to leave. He surprised her when he suddenly asked if she could stay. Mai turned around, but did not smile back at him. when he walked up to her. Mai noticed that his hair color had changed. His now was a light blond.
"l...um." he spoke hesitantly. As if forming the words in a way that wont offend anyone.
"you know what." she spoke first.
"l know what happened the other time, part of it was you, part of it wasn't. l dont really care about THAT anymore it all happened in the past. l want to forgive and forget everything that had happened." he looked at her speechless. He did not expect this from her.
"The organization l work for made me die my hair a dark color, the same color everyone elses was. l think this is how they use to control me and the others. The reason l took on this case because l couldn't stand innocent people getting hurt, who had nothing to do with this in the first place. l was wrong about you. l thought you knew about everything that was going on in this house, but you didn't. your just as innocent as those people who came into this house. l should have gone after Manika first."
"your wrong." Mai said in a disturbing voice.
"you dont know anything about me and your wrong about me." she said looking up. Her eyes blazing in a dangerous fire.
"l have everything to do with this house." Mooso looked at her with no words.
"but how come you looked so clueless about this house? how come you lived in Japan instead of here? you seemed to not know anything about this house and now your saying it has everything to do with you."
"for a long time." she said trying to remain calm, but it was clearly clear that she was getting more angrier.
"l had dreams about this place, but l did not know what it ment. A woman who looked exactly like me, but l had no clue who she was. memory's about this house and my parents. l tried to find out what it all ment. l finally pieced in together everything that night. you see this house is alive." she said sparks flickering in her eyes.
"its funny that at first you seemed to know more about me than me, but now you say lm innocent, that l have nothing to do with this. you are so wrong." she said lifting up her hand, a little below her waist and a small spark of fire flickered.
"you should really know how to mind your own business." she said heading for the door. Mai opened it and was ready to leave, but then she stopped and turned around.
"oh, and you should really go do something your actually good at." and she closed the door behind her.
out of the room Mai took in a few deep breaths and let them out slowly to calm herself. she knew that she was not herself in there and that she must hurry before it completely took over. she headed down the hall. At the end of the hall she found another hall with only one door. Mai thought this might be the room she was looking for. she went down the hall and tried to open the room, but it was locked. no worry she knew where the key was. her hand traced agenced the side bricks in the wall next to her, untill she found a lose one. she took the brick out of the wall. she flipped it over and placed to hands above it. there was only one way she could have get in. she had to melt the brike in order to receive the key. her parents made it clear that they only wanted this place used when extremely nesseary. only two people knew how. she and her parents. not even Manika knew how to open this room.
the brick melted from above her palms. it released a golden key with many holdings to it. Mai took the MIDDLE loop of the key. placed it in the lock twisted it twice then held the loop next to it twisted it the oppiset and then did it clockwise several times with different loops untill the door finally opened. A spark of electricity flamed in Mai's eyes. Mai walked into the room. it looked like an office. with shelves AND books. and a table in the middle with a box. Mai swallowed hard as she walked up to the desk with the carefully packaged box. she knew what was inside this box. her life would be shortened because of what was inside, but it did not matter as long as everyone would be save and she would be able to protect the only person, who ment everything to her.
before opening the box she used the little flame in her hand to demolish the things that kept it sealed. opening the box the first thing she pulled out was a golden locket. she held it up with one hand letting it dangle. she let it fall into her palm and soon opened the locket. it reviled two pictures of two girls who looked to be the age of 5. Mai recognized who they were immediately who they were. the girl on the left who looked a little goth, was Manika. the girl on the right with much brighter looks was her. Mai closed the locket and held it with both hands close to her. she closed her eyes and almost started crying. if only things were be different then she would be able to live a normal life with Manika, well at least try too. but things are different and may never be the same. she set down the locket on the table next to the box. she reached in there again. this time she knew what she would pull out. her hands touched something cold. she pulled out a golden dagger.
this was like one of my favorate chapters. l really enjoyed writing it and the last one also. l had a little trouble writing the kissing scean. l mean lm good with the romantic parts, but kissing is were l have a little trouble. anyway hope you enjoyed it.
