Chapter 21: Epilogue
Three Years Later
"Mama!" Lillian said tumbling toward Tiana
"Is that my baby? Come here and give Mama some suga." Tiana picked up Lillian and showered her with kisses.
"Tiana, come on girl we gonna be late." Said a very pregnant Dot-Mae
"I'm commin, boys come on we have to go." Timothy who is now eleven came down the stairs with David, who's eight, following behind them.
"Mama Timothy pushed me."
"I did not liar!"
"Hey, we don't have time for this right now we have to go or we're going to be late."
"Mama and everyone else is already there waiting for the guest of honor." Dot-Mae smiled.
"OK, ok let's go." Everyone left the house and was on the way to their destination. When they reached their destination they got out the car and Timothy and David ran to their cousins and James and Eudora approached Tiana and Dot-Mae.
"Hey Mama, hey Daddy."
"Hey baby cakes."
"Is this Pop-Pop's grandbaby?" Lillian started to smile from ear to ear and she reached for James who happily took her.
"Pop-Pop!" James laughed
"Dot-Mae you look like you 'bout to pop." James said
"I wish this baby would come out already. I'm so tired."
"Just wait until the baby gets here, you'll be tired alright." Eudora said
"I'm just so excited to meet him or her, after three years of trying I can't wait to hold my baby." Dot-Mae beamed. Then Rachel and James approached the group.
"Hey sis." Rachel said hugging Tiana
"Hey Rachel."
"Hey Tiana."
"Hey Jimmy."
"Are you ready to get started?"
"Of course." Tiana then made her way to the front of the crowd with all of her family. She then walked up to the microphone
"I would first like to thank everyone who came out to show their support this evening! I would also like to thank Mount Zion First Baptist Church for their donations. Now I present to you, the new and improved Tiana's Place!" Tiana cut the ribbon and the crowd made their inside the restaurant.
"We are so proud of you baby cakes." James said
"Thank you Daddy." Tiana, Eudora and James shared a group hug.
The grand reopening was going so well, everyone was enjoying the good food, the music, and the complete atmosphere of it all.
"Tia! Tia!" Charlotte came bouncing over to Tiana.
"Yes Lottie."
"I have someone I want you to meet." Tiana sighed
"No."
"But…"
"The last time you introduced me to someone, he ended up being married with five kids and number six on the way. The answer is no."
"How was I supposed to know that Henry was married?"
"Lottie, I appreciate the gesture but I am just fine being by myself."
"Please Tiana give me one more chance, if you don't like this one I promise I'll leave you alone forever."
"Promise?"
"I promise." Tiana playfully rolled her eyes.
"Oh alright." Lottie squealed happily.
"Come on Tia." Charlotte grabbed Tiana's arm and dragged her to her mystery man.
"Tia I want you to meet Travis' business partner, William Reed." William turned around and flashed a pearl white smile. Tiana had to admit he was extremely handsome.
"Hi, Charlotte has told me so much about you."
"I wish I could say the same. So you're in accounting like Travis?"
"Yeah, we met about two years ago and been partners ever since."
"I'm just gonna let you two talk."
"So, are you enjoying the grand opening?"
"Oh yes I'm having a great time the food is delicious."
"Thank you." Tiana blushed
"I don't wanna seem too forward but would you like to dance with me?"
"Um…"
"Go on sweetie dance with the man." Tiana looked and saw her mother walking toward her.
"Mama I'm busy."
"No you're not, we got everything covered go on and have some fun." Tiana took William's hand and they walked out the dance floor and started dancing.
"I must say you look beautiful tonight."
"Thank you Will, you don't look too bad yourself." Tiana smirked
"So Will, do you have any kids?"
"I have one, she's thirteen, and she turns fourteen next week."
"Wow, what's her name?"
"Mary."
"If you don't mind me asking, where's her mother?"
"She left me a few weeks after Mary was born. I've been raising her by myself since then."
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"It's ok, so what about you do you have any kids?"
"Actually I have three, Timothy he's eleven, David's eight and Lilly's three."
"It must get pretty hectic sometimes."
"It does."
"Hey how about we get our kids and we all spend the day together."
"That sounds like a plan."
"Great." William smiled. Tiana smiled softly, she was slowly coming on the idea of seeing someone and William might just be that guy.
Maldonia
"Iyanla! Come back here!" Naveen said as he chased after his two year old daughter. Iyanla just giggled as she turned the corner, then all of a sudden she bumped into someone making her fall on her back.
"PAPA!" Iyanla cried, then the person she bumped into picked her up.
"It's ok little one, tell me where it hurts." Iyanla rubbed her head.
"Aw, come here let show you something." The young lady sat down and placed Iyanla on her lap.
"You know when I was your age my Mother and I used to make silly faces at each other and whoever laughed first lost. Do you want to play?" Iyanla nodded her head. The mystery woman and Iyanla both made silly faces but it was Iyanla who laughed first.
"See? Isn't it fun?"
"Yes."
"Iyanla there you are!" Iyanla got off the woman's lap and ran to her Papa.
"Papa!"
"What happened?" Naveen asked the young lady
"She ran into me and fell. I just played a little game with her to help her stop crying."
"Are you hurt Iyanla?"
"No."
"Well thank you."
"It was my pleasure Your Majesty."
"Call me Naveen." Naveen smirked he had to admit this mysterious green eyed beauty was breath taking.
"Ok, Naveen."
"I must say you are extremely beautiful."
"Thank you Naveen aren't you quite the charmer."
"I try, so what is your name?"
"I'm sorry I don't give my name out to strangers."
"But I gave you my name."
"I already knew who you were before you told me."
"So why can't you tell me who you are."
"Like I said I don't give my personal information to strangers. I'll see you later Naveen." The woman then walked away.
"I see you've met my new guest." Naveen turned around and saw his mother approaching him
"Who is that Mother?"
"Amina, she's the daughter of the late prime minister of Shadonia. I promised him when he died I would take her in as somewhat of an adoptive daughter until she finds a husband."
"I must get to know her."
"Good luck, from what I've heard she's not like the women you're used to."
"You know me mother I'm always up for a challenge."
"Mhmm, give me my granddaughter. It's time for our ballet lessons."
"Yay!" Iyanla clapped as Naveen placed her down on the ground and followed Nadria
"Bye Papa!"
"Bye Iyanla!" Naveen looked outside and decided to go out the village since it was so nice out. As he was walking around his kingdom he couldn't help but think about Amina, he wanted to get to know her. There was something about that was sweet and kind but also feisty. He wanted to know everything about her. Maybe him being alone for the rest of his life was slowly coming to an end.
AN: I wasn't planning on having this done by the next day but here it is. Now that I'm done with this story I will be focusing on One Wing which doesn't have that many chapters left. When I'm done with that I'll be working on a sequel to this one. I'm also working on another PATF FanFic I don't know what to call it yet but it should be interesting. Until next time.
