Brallie

Callie's POV

"I know Brandon… I know, but please. Don't be mad."

"Why would I? I mean, you're moving to Pennsylvania!"

"I haven't decided yet. I just need some time to sort things out."

"Why? We got into the same college. Please, Callie."

"I love you. You know I do. But right now, I need to think about myself."

"But we can go to the same college."

"Brandon, I need some time to think about what I want to do."

"Why?"

"Because, I want an adventure. I have an opportunity I thought I would never get."

"But, can't you have an adventure with me? In the college we both got into?"

"I want to, I really really want to go with you, but I just don't think…"

"You don't think what? That we won't be together?"

"No Brandon. But what happens if I let you talk me into going and then I start resenting you for making me go there? Without giving me a chance to think about it."

"But-"

"I just need some time for myself, okay?"

"For four years?"

"No, I mean now. I think we should take a break."

Brandon's POV

"I think we should take a break." When those words came out of her mouth my mind went blank. I couldn't think about anything except those seven words. "Brandon? Do you have anything to say?"

"I'll call you back," is all I say before I hang up. Oh god! What am I supposed to do? Is all I think. Over and over again. I just sit there thinking about those words. And then my thoughts start to overflow. What happens if she starts resenting me? What happens if I make her go and that is the end of our relationship? But if she goes somewhere long away from here, maybe that will be the end too…

I come to school and see her at her locker. I run up to her and immediately say, "I love you and I am sorry for pushing. I think you should go to which ever college you want. And take your time."

"Thank you, baby. I love you too. I didn't mean to say that I wanted a break, I just…"

"It's fine, I understand. I can be pushy and very very annoying. I'll work on it." She takes my hand and laughs. "Okay then. Just so you know. I don't want a break."

"And neither do I," I chuckle and then give her a light kiss. "Walk you to class?" She nods. When we are by the door she gives me a kiss on the cheek and whispers, "Love you." Then she runs into the classroom and gives me a wink as she sits down.
