Lucy's POV

I stood inside the cell with Faith and Damon. It seemed like Stefan might have been hallucinating. He was saying something about Katherine. He hadn't eaten anything in days. I figured that it would probably be a good idea to leave him alone. I wore a simple white blouse and red pleated miniskirt. I went downstairs to prepare for school and saw Damon and Faith at the table.

"So has he eaten yet?" I asked.

"No." Damon replied. "You know all of this will pass. He feels guilty for hurting that girl. It's going to blow over soon."

We hadn't actually told him that Faith's compulsion hadn't worked. I never knew that the Lockwoods grew vervain in their yard. Maybe they had planted some after getting it from Damon.

"Is there anything we can do?" I asked.

"Just let it pass." Damon instructed as he fiddled with something that he had gotten from Pearl.

"What is that?" Faith asked.

"I don't know but it doesn't work." He answered. "Have you talked to Elena about it?"

"I haven't really been able to spend much time with her since I've been focused on this." Faith responded. "Plus Lucy's been here the past few nights."

"So do you plan on being here again tonight?" Damon asked looking at me. "What does your mom say about that?"

"Yes and I told her that Faith and I were working on a project." I declared. "Is that a problem?"

"Yes, you are extremely annoying." He remarked to which I rolled my eyes. "Have fun at school."

Faith's POV

We arrived at the school parking lot. Lucy quickly went into the school. I was wearing a black tee with LOVE in red letters and my polka-dotted shorts again with black knee socks. I knew that I needed to find Elena, but I found someone else first.

"Amber…" I replied. "Look, you can't tell anyone about this."

"Stefan bit me." She pointed out.

"Yes, I know that." I stated. "Look he's going through some issues right now and I'm sure that he'll apologize as soon as he's better. Just please don't tell anyone. If you want, I can still erase your memory of what happened."

"I don't want to forget about it." She declared. "I want to know more."

"Well I'll tell it to you as long as you don't tell any of it to anyone else." I bargained. "Look, I'm not an enemy. We've known each other since we were kids."

"How is that possible? I thoughts vampires weren't supposed to get older." She questioned.

"We don't." I replied. "I'm kind of a new vampire. I have some basic information that I've printed out because I can't really talk until I can help Stefan out."

"I guess the cops wouldn't believe me anyway." She stated.

"They would definitely believe you. They know that you were attacked by a vampire, they just don't know who it is." I explained. "I have to go to class, but I'll tell you about it later. I promise."

I then walked into the school and was met by Anna.

"Are you sure that you can trust her?" She asked.

"We used to be friends when we were little but we just drifted apart." I remarked. The fact that I knew that frightened me a little. "Look I really don't have time for you or Elena right now. Stefan's really messed up."

"Your devotion to your family is one of the things that I like about you." She responded.

After school, I headed to Elena's house because I wanted to spend some time with her. While there, I decided to give Damon a call to see if there was any progress.

"What?" He answered.

"I was just calling to check up." I stated.

"I'm fine, thank you." He declared.

"I meant on Stefan." I replied.

"He's still broody as ever." Damon replied.

"There has to be something that he'll eat." Elena remarked. "Does he have a favorite kind of blood?"

I moved the phone away from ear and stared at her.

"No." I told her.

"Just hurry home. I have things to do." He remarked. Lucy would probably be there soon.

I just hung up and Elena closed the door that she was getting a towel from and there was John. We both jumped.

"Sorry." He apologized, though probably not to me.

"I should probably go." I stated.

"That's probably a good idea." He declared. I headed downstairs, but still listened to what they were saying. "What would you mother say if she knew that you were dating a vampire?"

"Which mother?" Elena retorted. I smiled before I headed out the door.

Lucy's POV

I headed into the house and went straight to the basement to see Stefan. I looked in through the door and noticed that he was looking down and there was also a bottle of blood on the floor which I was pretty sure was from an animal.

"You need to drink that." I said.

"I don't want to." He muttered.

"It's not a choice, Stefan. You can't survive without it." I explained. I couldn't understand why he was rejecting all blood.

"I don't wanna survive." He replied. At that moment, I felt like someone had punched me in the heart. I went upstairs with a frown on my face where Damon was packing some stuff up. I decided to tell him what Stefan had said.

"Why would he say that?" I asked.

"Say what?" Faith questioned as she walked in.

"Apparently Stefan doesn't want to survive." Damon recapped. "He feels guilty and it's typical Stefan martyr stuff."

"Where are you going?" Faith asked him.

"I have an errand to run with the history teacher." He replied.

"Are you two friends now or something?" I questioned.

"I don't have any friends." He stated as he put his jacket on. "Don't wait up."

"Damon made a friend." Faith teased. I could tell that she was having a lot of fun with that.

I decided to go back down there. I planned on forcing him to drink the blood if I had to. I knew that it probably wasn't morally right, but I wasn't just going to let him give up on his life. He was in the exact same position. I couldn't help but be annoyed at the fact that he had not moved at all.

"Why haven't you had the blood yet?" I asked in frustration.

"I told you." He remarked. "Leave me alone, Lucy."

"You really should know me better than that." I replied as I opened the door and walked inside.

"What are you doing?" He asked. I definitely got him to show emotion. "Get out of here."

"No." I responded as I grabbed the bottle off the floor. "Drink this blood now."

"You don't know how this stupid you are to come in here." He remarked. "I could hurt you."

"I'm not afraid of you, Stefan." I argued. "What are you going to do to me? You're afraid to have any blood so you're obviously not going to bite me. Now you're going to drink this if I have to pour it down your throat."

He knocked the bottle out of my hands and then looked away from me. It was at that point that I could see the hurt in his eyes. I think I needed to give him some words of encouragement. At that moment, I took his ring out of my pocket. I decided to try a new tactic.

"Stefan, will you please just tell me what's wrong?" I begged. "This isn't like you and I think this goes back to more than just you what happened the other night. I know that I'm not a therapist but I want to know what's making you like this."

He then proceeded to tell me about what happened when he first turned. Like Damon said, the two of them were shot trying to rescue Katherine. They had had her blood in their systems and woke up in the quarry with Emily. They had decided that they weren't going to transition because they thought that she was dead. He had gone to visit his father to say goodbye to him where he found out that Giuseppe was the one that killed them. He then tried to kill him again, despite the fact that Stefan told him that he wasn't a vampire. Stefan pushed him away, inadvertently impaling him with his cane in the process. He then drank his father's blood, becoming the vampire that was today.

Faith's POV

I was upstairs. I wanted to help Stefan, but I didn't know what to do and I really wanted to let Lucy figure out a way. I was up in my room doing some homework when suddenly someone entered through my window.

"I said that I didn't want you here anymore." I told her.

"I know. I just wanted to say that my mom wants me to leave with her." She remarked.

"What? No. You can't leave." I argued.

"Why not?" She challenged. "Obviously you don't want me here."

"I never said that I don't want you here." I declared. "In fact, I never said that I don't want you. It's just that I'm already spoken for and I can't be with you, but you can't go."

"I'll stay but only if you kiss me." She bargained. I sighed and put my lips to hers and we basically continued where we left off, only I didn't stop her and we kept going. We took each other's clothes off and began to roll in the sheets of my bed.

Lucy's POV

"How can you even look at me right now?" Stefan asked.

"Because it was accident, Stefan." I pointed out. "You didn't mean to kill him. Come up stairs and we can talk about it some more and anything else."

"I did mean to kill most if not all of the others." He explained. I guess that fact that he had killed people didn't surprise me. It probably took him a long time to get to where he was when he met me.

"We can talk about those too." I declared. "All I want is for you to feel like I'm someone that you can talk to. I've talked to you about all of my problems and I just want you to feel that I'm someone that you love enough to tell me stuff."

"How can you be so sure that I'll get better?" He asked with a confused look on his face.

"Because I love you Stefan and I know that you'll get better." I explained. I put his ring over by the bench beside him. "And when you're ready to talk to me, I'll be upstairs."

Faith's POV

I decided to wake her up even though she looked so peaceful sleeping in my bed. I wished that I had met her first. She was probably right the fact that now that I was a vampire, me and Elena didn't really have a future. Though the thing was, I still wanted it. There probably was no way it was going to work, but I would try anyway.

"I think that you should go." I replied. "I want to see this thing with Elena through even if it doesn't last."

"You know she'll probably dump you if she finds out what you did with me." She pointed out.

"Do you want a ride home?" I questioned.

Lucy's POV

An hour later, Damon showed up.

"Ugh, you're still here?" He remarked.

"Were you expecting anything else?" I replied.

"It was more of a statement than a question." He pointed out. "How's Mr. Broody?"

"I think he's getting closer." I answered proudly. "How did the errand go?"

"It was a total bust, but I think that I witnessed the teacher having an existential crisis." Damon replied. That sounded like it would be interesting. "Has he eaten yet?"

"Let me check." I responded as I went back downstairs. "Stefan? Stefan?"

I then realized that no one was down there. He had taken off and left without his ring. That was not good.

"DAMON! FAITH!" I yelled.

"Faith's not here. What's wrong?" He asked.

"He's gone." I replied. "He's gone. He doesn't have his ring. He'll die when the sun comes up."

"Fine, let him." Damon declared.

"Stop acting like you don't care!" I ordered. "Are you mad that Stefan killed your father?"

"Did he tell you how I turned? How I was ready to die and then he came back a vampire, having broken the vow that we had made. Then to make things worse, he told me that he wanted me to turn. I said no, but he didn't give me a choice." He explained.

"That's why he feels so guilty." I realized. "Damon, if you know where he is, please take me there."

"I don't feel like going out again tonight." He replied.

"Well then give me your keys so I can go there." I yelled.

"Check the quarry." He stated as he handed me the keys. "You know I will kill you if you don't care of my car."

I decided to call Faith to let her know.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"I'm running an errand. Why are you breathing so hard?" She questioned.

"Stefan wants to kill himself." I explained. "Damon thinks that he's at the quarry."

"I'll be right there." I remarked as I stopped in front of Anna's house. I was about to drop her off when I noticed the door was open. I decided to follow her into the house.

"I'm back." She called. We walked into the foyer to see two bodies with stakes in them, one of them being her mother. "No, Mama, mama, please wake up. Please wake up!"

I could tell that she wasn't leaving.

"Anna, she's dead." I stated. "We need to go. I have to go see if I can help save Stefan's life and I'm not leaving you here when whoever killed your mom could come back."

I headed out to the quarry and she waited in the car crying. I really wished that I had time to comfort her. It looked like what Lucy was saying was not working.

"Stefan, you can't give up like this." I declared. "I don't know what you've been through, but you can't let it eat you up inside. I love you and I'm not letting you do this. Me, you and Damon. We're family and we need each other."

I wrapped him in a hug and he hugged me back. It had worked.

Once we got home, I took Anna into the house. She had black streaks on her cheeks from the crying.

"Damon, Anna is going to be our new houseguest." I told him. "Someone, probably John, killed her mother and she's going to stay here as long as she wants and I will hear nothing otherwise."

I knew that I was going to have time explaining to Elena.

So Amber made another appearance and she definitely knows what happened. Also Stefan's okay, but the main thing is Faith and Anna had sex. Things don't look good for her and Elena right now. Please don't forget to review.
