We all woke up around 6 and after getting ready in shorts and a tank top I went and got the girls ready to go. When we got back to Roxy's house where the bridal party and flower girls were staging out of we hit the ground running. We walked through the doors and we were taken to the costume room where the hair stylist and make up people were. All of our dresses were also in here so we could leave from here to the wedding.

They sat down Roxy and started while I sat the girls in seats near us and told them to wait and watch. I then turned around and sat down in a seat next to Roxy's and immediately had people around me.

Roxy had her raven black hair put into an up do bun thing, which was stunning. Her make up looked flawless and at a very minimum. My brunette hair was left down and curled eloquently all around and left to hang around my shoulders. My make up was a little more dramatic to draw out the blue in my eyes since Roxy directly told them to make sure they popped. When we were done we switched seats with the girls.

They didn't get any make up but their hair was set in a half up half down curled situation that was adorable. When we were done the clock was chiming 11 and we were so very hungry. So Roxy put on one of Carlos's button up shirts; I put on one of Randy's that I stole since I knew I would need it. (Thank you years of dance and having my hair up and make up perfect and not being able to mess it up) and I slipped the girls in a button up dress that they each had. When we were all dressed we piled into my car and we drove to McDonalds down the street. We parked and I texted Randy where we were so he could make sure none of them saw us.

When we had all of our food, two 20 piece chicken nuggets and 2 kids chicken nugget meals and our drinks we headed back to her house to eat and finish getting ready before leaving for the venue around 3. We were done eating around noon so we sat on her couch and watched television for 2 hours. Then we grabbed the dresses piled back into the car made sure we had everything and left for the venue. We pulled up and could see the guys' car already parked and deserted.

We grabbed our things and went in the building we were fully staging out of to get dressed and make sure everything was ready. When Roxy was in the room sitting down breathing since she was nervous and my mom came in to assist with getting ready since her mother wouldn't. I left and went around making sure everything was ready. The cook had food started and some ready. Bar was stocked, DJ had the tracks and new when to play each. The room designer did an amazing job outside was decorated in white green and purple. It was pure beauty.

When I was done looking around I went back into get dressed since we had 30 minutes until she walked down the aisle. We all got in our dresses and my mom kissed us before leaving the room to let the boys and everyone know that we are ready to go. She came back a few minutes later with Roxy's brother who is escorting her down the aisle and told us to go outside and get ready since the groom was up with the preacher.

We walked out I handed the girls their baskets since they were the only two flower girls that could make it. The "Calling all Angel's" Started and the girls walked out spreading flowers and joy through the scenery. We waited until they were at the end, gave Carlos a hug, and ran to sit by Randy in the front before I walked out of my wing as Chris did his and gently grabbed his outstretched arm. We slowly made our way down the aisle and it felt really awkward. I kept a smile on my face though and kept eye contact with Randy until we reached the end. I let go of Chris's arm as he hugged Carlos and stood next to him.

I walked up to Carlos saw almost tears in his eyes and gave him a quick hug and patted his head like I have to make fun of him since we were younger. I stood in my spot with my bouquet while the preacher asked everyone to stand and Calling all Angels ended.

As the crowd stood the song 'Amazed' by Lonestar started and I could feel Carlos and Roxy's glares already. They couldn't find a song to walk down to so I took it upon myself to pick this one, and it was perfect. Roxy floated down the aisle as they song played and she looked into Carlos's eyes and they lip sang the song to each other. When Roxy and her brother reached the end he kissed her on the cheek before sitting in his seat closest to her. Roxy walked over gave Chris a hug. Walked over gave me a hug before standing in front of Carlos. Holding his hand and just looking into his eyes for the remainder of the song.

The ceremony started as the guests took their seats throughout the entire thing I tear-ed up a little. Gaining sarcastic looks from both groom and bride. During vows Higher by Creed played softly in the background; and at the very end right before the preacher said "You may kiss the bride" through the speakers you heard Jesse McCartney's voice sweetly say, "Why don't you kiss her?" They giggled and kissed romantically. I started counting down from 10 like I did in high school and when I reached 0 they broke apart and smiled at me before the preacher announced, 'Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Mendez' Carlos held their hands up as they laughed before 'So This is Love' started. Gaining me more glares from the happy couple. But what can I say they have a terrible sense of music.

When we all made our way inside and to the reception where the guests were finding their tables and mingling. The couple went into an adjacent room where they waited while First Dance by Justin Bieber played. They stayed until they were announced as the "Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Mendez" again. They walked out and won't let go by Rascal Flatts started. They had their dance alone in the middle of the dance floor and it was beautiful. Inevitable by Anberlin started and it was their second dance so couples got to go out. Randy dragged me out and we sang along to each other during the entire thing. The song ended and the dance floor emptied.

Yet seconds later, I ran out to her grabbed her hand since I knew what song was next. Red Solo Cup started and I got glares from almost everybody in the room. But I just laughed it off and grabbed Roxy's hand to start dancing. By the second chorus the entire room was singing along and loosening up. Okay so this wasn't a wedding song, but this is the kind of people this couple is and has been over the years. You have to admit it is a good ice breaker.

Next the dance floor emptied and Roxy's dad came out to the floor for the Father, Daughter dance. 'I loved her first' played as they danced in the middle of the floor. About halfway through the song the floor had filled with fathers and daughters; including Randy, Britney, and Kenzie, My dad and myself. We all slow danced though Randy had a little trouble since there were 3 of them. But he held them both up one on each arm and swayed back and forth with them as they set their heads on his shoulders.

I walked over kissed both of the girls on the head and gave Randy a quick peck before we headed back to our table. The next song was 'Stealing Cinderella' and again it was only the new couple on the floor.

A few songs later the DJ announced for the floor to empty and for the maid of honor to come to the dance floor. I stood up with a confused look on my face and walked towards the floor to see my best friend with a spotlight on her looking radiant with happiness. I walked out to meet her and as I gave her a long hug the DJ announced the best friend dance the bride requested. 'Here in your arms' by hellogoodbye started and I smiled as I set my arms on Roxy's waist and we started this elaborate dance we have done to this song since sophomore year as we sang along

When we were done making complete fools of ourselves; I gave Roxy a huge hug and started to turn around when, the clapping stopped and a voice echoed over the loud system.

"You're not getting out of it that fast Kaity. It's my time to dance with the best friend," Carlos set the microphone down and walked down to the floor where he grabbed my hand, set one on my waist as I set my other on his shoulder. He smiled before nodding for the song to start. 'Because you loved me' by Celine Dion started and by the end I was almost in tears at how sweet this was. When the song was over I gave Carlos a hug and dragged him over to the microphone where I picked it up and spoke.

"Love you times negative infinity Carlos', I smiled as he kissed my cheek and responded the same as he has since I met him in Freshman year. "Love you too Kaity, times negative infinity." I gave him a hug as I left the dance floor and Roxy came back up to dance with her husband and friends. As soon as I left the floor I had about half the population of the room around me asking me what that was all about. I sat down picked up Kenzie sat her on my lap before answering.

"In freshman year, when Roxy and Carlos went out for the first time I told him my love for him was immeasurable just like Roxy's. She loved him times infinity, I loved him times negative infinity. As for the song, after the first time they dated, Carlos became one of my close friends. I kept him from making stupid decisions and I'm the one who told him to go for her again. In part I'm the reason they are here." A lot of understanding faces stared at me before turning around and went to either their tables or the dance floor. A few songs later Carlos had his mother, son dance to "The man you've become" It was sweet and my brother and mom danced together with them and other mother son groups.

A little while later the DJ came on and told everyone it was time for the cake cutting ceremony. We all gathered around as the entire ceremony went on to the music of '1234' by the plain white t's. The first piece was shoved in Carlos's face and we all laughed as he left to go wash his face as Roxy helped serve the cupcakes that were for the guests. We all ate the small dessert since dinner wasn't for a little bit. Yeah, I know Roxy and Carlos are a little backwards in the order of things.

The clock was reaching 630 when dinner was brought out. Chicken or steak dinner, those were the only two options. When the majority of the people had finished eating I stood up and brought attention to myself so I could deliver my speech.

"Well, I hope you all are enjoying yourselves, I know I am. Well where to start? I met Roxy in one of the first weeks of freshman year and she has been my friend ever since. We have had our disputes all of which I won,' at this point Roxy butted in and we had a nuh-uh, yeah-huh, fight for a minute before I just continued, 'Anyways, we have been through triumph, heart ache, smiles and tears together. She helped me through those stressful days and nights; through my first relationship and heart ache, through family difficulties, and through my 'so called' hard life.

Carlos and I met when Roxy was dating another guy and they started hanging out and falling in love. I became friends with him through wrestling and through ROTC. He became my best guy friend and someone I could trust without being judged.

These two have been to hell and back again with this relationship. And I've seen them go through it all. From that first new year's,' I took this point to send an accusatory look in their direction to which the both blushed before finishing, 'All the way to today. Through the heartbreak they brought each other and the joy and love in each other's eyes brought by the other. If that made any sense at all? They have learned a lot about themselves and each other. And I know they will continue to do this for many years to come. And now I drink to thee…" I held my champagne glass up and bowed my head before taking a quick drink and sitting down to the applause. Chris refused to speak and I was fine with that. We all continued eating and talking for a little while before the DJ announced the anniversary song for all couples young and old.

Almost everyone who was still here got up and went to dance including Brit and Kenzie who went together. I stayed seated until and hand was in front of my face asking me to dance. I grabbed it and walked to the floor with Randy. 'Everything' by Michael Buble started and we all danced with our couple and sang along quietly. The song ended and Roxy and Carlos grabbed the microphone to say thank you for everyone to come out and celebrate with them. They appreciate everything everyone has done and said. And that the final song would play in a few minutes.

Roxy and Carlos said goodbye to the majority of the people until the only ones left were the bride and groom, Randy, Brit, Kenzie, and I, and then 3 groups of their friends each.

The final song started none the less and everyone went to the dance floor. I set my head on Randy's shoulder and he set his hands on my back and we swayed back and forth soothingly. 'True' by Spandu Ballet started and we all danced until the very end.

We all said goodbye and waited until Carlos and Roxy left for the hotel on the strip since they couldn't do their month long honeymoon until after his tour. We set the girls in the car before driving home. We got home around 9 and after a quick shower for the girls I sent them to bed, which they gladly did.

Randy took his shower as I set the girls to bed so when I was done so was he. I jumped in the shower after and let the water cascade down my back and relax my muscles. I was out, dried, and dressed by 10. With my hair still slightly wet I got into bed next to Randy and cuddled up to him where I fell asleep.
